I tried to get same girl and of course she’d left- went anyway because I’d had great luck....third time was not a charm. “I let my hair dry naturally” and she proceeded to dry my hair stick straight.....it hasn’t been right since 😬

I can’t speak to the “walk in” aspect of the salon since I always make an appointment, but I’ve been going to Amanda for over two years and she always does a great job. She cuts exactly how I ask and dries and styles my hair for me afterwards so I leave feeling pretty! The scalp and neck massage in the quiet washroom before the cut is a nice touch too and really relaxing.

Emma was fantastic!! I brought my daughter to get her hair cut and while she listened to her she took the time to make sure I was okay with the changes. She is great with kids! Very fun atmosphere! Highly recommend!

Prices start at $25, for a terrific salon quality cut and service. I felt like I was pampered here. They have a super neat color bar where your imagination is the limit. Very professional stylists for prom or any special occasion. Theyll even help you get a professional looking photo of your new look (on your cell phone). The stylists are great with kids and teens too.

I have gone here before and have had two wonderful people do my hair. However both had left so I went in with my mother and we both tried someone new. My hair was cut 2.5 inches shorter than I asked and hers was 4 inches shorter. Both of us have thin slow-growing hair and it will take us 1-2 years to grow our hair back. The salon itself is great, but I guess the stylists are hit and miss. Play it safe and get your hair done with a level 3.

Always went to the Peoria location. Unfortunately, they have closed shop. Tried to make an online reservation (almost) a week ahead of time, but never got a call or an email confirming my appointment or services. I tried to call, but I was put on hold and finally decided to end the call after 28 minutes.Either they are so freakin awesome that theyre nonstop cutting hair or they cant get themselves together to book (and keep) appointments. As they say...everything happens for a reason. True in this case, because I went somewhere else and got a fabulous cut with exemplary service. All is well that ends well.

I love coming here, they are always so friendly and professional. The one time I didnt get a haircut I loved they had me come in the next day and rework it til it was perfect. I have always been greeted by the front desk staff and introduced to my stylist (if it was someone new) before we got started. I am never afraid of a new color or hair cut here because they are that good! Karyn is my current stylist and I adore her, I highly recommend her.

Ive been going to Arcs for many many years! Always such a joy to spend my time here with such wonderful, professional people! I KNOW that if I come in with no style in mind I can simple say give me something that fits me well and boom I have it! Ive never been disappointed in my cuts, colors or style and I always look forward to the wash room, with scalp and shoulder massage. I called to set up an appointment and let the receptionist know that I had naturally curly hair and that I would like a hair stylist who knew how to work with natural hair. The receptionist then went on to tell me they had no problem doing ethnic hair (I didn’t tell her my race) and that they had someone who could dry cut, dye, and style my hair. I went in and and nothing went right. During the appointment I didn’t get my dry cut, my hair wasn’t dyed how I wanted, and I left with a frizzy mess because the hairstylist did not actually know how to diffuse curly hair, not only that I now have curls that stick up on the top of my head because she cut and layered my hair wet. If you go here and have curly hair I would recommend going somewhere else, especially if you don’t want to spend $130 (I never spent that much with my level 2 stylist doing the same thing) on a total disaster.

I have been going to Lizz for a year now and shes my favorite. She always does my hair exactly as I want it and has never rushed through the process. Shes the only one I trust to cut my straight across bangs and makes them perfectly wispy every time! Love her. Will continue to go here.

Went in thinking my cut would be $20 and my color would be $40. (Like it is posted on the website) Got my hair done and went to check out, the total was $100. Needless to say I won’t be back.It’s a shame my stylist was extremely nice and my hair turned out great. However, false advertisement on their website cost them my business.

Worst Hair Salon experience! Waited for 2hrs even with having made an appt a week ago! The stylist Brittany didnt even seem to care that she had me waiting so long! Then I couldnt even get a decent shampoo! They wet my hair and slapped some conditioner on it even though they advertise a massage. ARC used to be a really nice place, Im extremely disappointed that I wasted my time and money!! I felt like since I was only getting a trim they didnt want to mess with me. So if your going to spend more money you might get better service? Fool me once...shame on me! I will not be back! The one star is for the receptionist who at least apologized for the stylist taking so long and who at least tried to make me feel comfortable! (This is the first time that I have signed in to rate a company but I felt so strongly about the need to share how bad their customer service was so that others dont have to experience the same treatment)

Horrible experience. Walked in on a Saturday afternoon thinking the name Walk In Salon meant just that. I was informed that they were too busy because of the holidays to see me the rest of the day (3 hours) but they could make an appointment for the next afternoon at 4:15pm. I made an appointment. I arrived at 4:05pm the next day to find only 2 stylists working. I then waited until 4:40pm with no end in sight even though I was the only one waiting. Now, if they are so busy why wouldnt they schedule more stylists? I told the lady at the front, which neither cuts hair nor schedules properly, that I wasnt waiting anymore. She apologized and said they are backed up because they only have 2 stylists. She offered to give me a free haircut on ANOTHER DAY. I said, why would I ever come back for a 3rd time? They need to decide if they are going to be a Walk In Salon or if they are going to be a typical appointment only salon.

I used to really enjoy going to the Brookside location, but since they shut it down I figured Id give the south location a try. Unfortunately, its been disappointing. Trying to call and talk to someone is an adventure, as I had miserable luck trying to get someone on the phone; and once I did it sounded like they just didnt want to be there. Took a chance and went in and the place was completely dead and I still got the vibe that no one wanted to be there. The pricing used to be pretty straightforward, but theyve apparently decided to add levels to it (apparently depending on stylist experience) and getting that info is sort of a so-so experience. As always, the wash and massage were great but there was nothing thrilling about the haircut itself. I kept trying to get some input since my stylist is the one with the education, but she was very hands off and I wound up just getting my ends snipped instead of gambling on it. I dont have interest in returning, so back to the drawing board for a new salon!

If I can give a 0 I would!!! I do believe she was in a rush because while doing my hair someone else walked in that had an appointment with her. I felt rushed, I had an appointment and the lady before caused her to run late. I had a color went from light brown to blonde. I am not even the blonde I wanted!!! Then I left with product still in my hair! She didn’t even trim my hair because she had someone else waiting. I will never tell people about this place. If I wanted a bad hair job I would have went to a cheaper place! The amount of money I spent I didn’t get what I wanted!!!

AMANDA-AZINGOK SO....i almost always have a terrible experience (anywhere) when I get my hair cut BUT at WALK IN with Amanda, wow she is amazing. Kept me positive, calm, and she did such a food job that everyone is shocked!!!!So. Go there.

I had the worst experience at this salon. I left the salon with patches of blonde in my hair when its suppose to be violet. The girl who was doing my hair offered to fix a huge patch, but i did not want her to do anything else to my hair (let alone spend another hour there). I do not love my hair and I just feel like the amount of money I spent..I should! I will not be coming back after they fix my horribly colored hair.

I would only walk-in here if I needed my hair washed and wanted to receive the complimentary massage. Other than that, lots of money wasted down the drain. Was told my haircolor was outdated when I only walked in for a hair cut. Over $200 later, I had completely damaged bleached-out/fried hair that was melting off. Happened several months ago- told myself I would come back to leave review. Sweet girls, but unfortunately no experience.Also, I was charged their master-stylist price, only to have about 3 rookies working on my hair at the same time (hair dye, blow-drying, etc.) Never came back again after this.

I made an appointment just 1 day before. We agreed on a time and I came and was told I was late and they gave my slot away. I was 10 min early to my appointment. Clearly they put my time in wrong but then told me to come back a different day. No thanks if you cant make the appointment time right and then not honor it, why would I let you cut my hair. Customer service is lacking here

The only reason I’m giving this three stars is because of the owner. A lady had badly damaged my hair when bleaching it. I had spots through out my hair. The owner was kind of enough to have me come in so it could be fixed. I understand mistakes happen but when it comes to my hair I hope to not see huge mistakes happen.

1. Don’t go here.2. Jessica was my hair stylist, I wouldn’t even give her a one star, honestly. She left a bald spots in my hair, my hair was all different lengths, in my hair. She shaved my hair, went to a different hair stylist, just because it wasn’t short enough on top. I even showed her a picture multiple times to show her HOW I WANTED IT. She messed up in sooo many ways. She also dyed my best friends hair, my friend wanted blonde hair, right? She didn’t do that, gave her highlights, didn’t even really give her blonde highlights, it just made her hair a BIT lighter than it was. I would not recommend this place. But 30$ just for a trim? No no. To much for a TRIM, with getting your hair dyed.

THEY RUINED MY BEAUTIFUL PLATINUM BLONDE :(I went in to get my roots filled, thats it!! It came out a dull ugly purple the first rinse, then she added some toner and the finished result was a dull coppery-ashy color all over-no platinum :( Not to mention I had a 5:15 scheduled appointment and waited in the lobby until 5:45. I told them I had a dinner I needed to get to and that I should probably reschedule but they insisted I would be out on time. I didnt even get the massage which is my favorite part. I have naturally dark hair and I put so much time into my blonde and they ruined it so bad that my normal stylist couldnt fix it with one treatment. I should have just gone with my gut instinct and left.

Went in and had the most unpleasant (painful) shampooing. never thought that possible but she was pulling my hair and rubbing my scalp roughly. I was glad for it to end but the experience didnt improve it only got worse. When she finished she didnt ring my hair out and hardly patted it dry. twisted and held it up with the chopstick- my hair was soaking went. I was drippin as we walked to her station. The chair and floor beneath it was filthy covered in hair from the previous customer. Then, she verbally dismissed my wishes when I told her what I would like to do with my hair. I said I wanted layers- she said that wasnt a good idea. I said I wanted to fix my bangs and blend them in more and she literally said that she was just going to leave them be. The experience at this point was so bad, it was almost comical!. I just couldnt believe it. To top it off my haircut was disappointing and frustrating. I had to tell her to fix it. It was unbelievable.

Cool vibe, bit pricey bit the atmosphere and shoulder rub make up for it 😉

Dallas colored and cut my hair and the color was really brassy dark and the cut was uneven and unfinished on one of my side burns. I called the next day and got a return appointment. The Salon manager was very nice and friendly but he wasnt there during my return appointment. His assistant was at the front desk and told me that Dallas was running behind and I could go ahead and change into my smock. I got back to the changing area and there were no smocks. I told the assistant and she said to go back there and she would bring me one. 15 to 20 minutes later still no smock. I noticed she came and looked down there. Dallas finally finished and came and got me and I told there where no smocks and she went and got a regular cape to put over my clothing and kept me back in the back in the last chair by the employee exit as if I wanted to sit there and wasnt instructed to do so by the assistant. Anyway, Im already annoyed. Dallas made two scissor cuts on my side burn (single) and asked how is that? Well the look on my face probably explained it all. I had to bite my tough, I wanted to say, arent you the professional? Cant you fricking tell if they are even or not? Geez....then she said lets take some of this weight out on the sides and I agreed, then I was trying to explain how I wanted my bangs to be shredded or thinned out. Still long but really textured. She cut my bangs to less than an inch long for about 3 inches across my forehead and the transition from my front bang to my bang over my ears was a chopped mess. I had a return appointment scheduled for 5 weeks later and they said they would text me and call me to remind me...no call...no show...I thought to myself they probably cancelled it for me...knowing full well that they did a crappy job. I understand a new salon will have growing pains and being newly open can cause things to go unchecked but, I expect a good hair cut if they are licensed to cut hair. This was my far the worst salon experience, Ive had in the last 30 years. Im a good customer and I tip really well. The only reason I was going to a new place was because my stylist retired. Too Bad they will never get my business again. And I did give then a decent review to begin with because the color was really not that bad. Just brassy. Nope I wouldnt recommend this salon to my worst enemy.

$25 for a cut from someone with one year of experience. This place was hit or miss for me. Ive gotten great haircuts, but most recently I got an awful haircut. Not worth the risk to me anymore

The staff seems very inexperienced, they made me stand up for a portion of my haircut because she was having difficulties giving a simple hair cut.

This freak show has gone right down the crapper. Everything has changed all of the good stylists are gone. My experience was horrible and not anything like Arcs used to be. Ill never return.When I called and asked if Danielle had any openings they said doesnt look like it today. Well, that was a lie. The truth was that she isnt even there anymore. Why not tell me that?? So I take an appointment with another girl bc I never get the chance to get my hair cut and today was a good time. So this girl isnt there I find out after I get changed. So another stylist offers to juggle me and the girl that she is working on. I said ok. Needless to say the wash room time was cut super short. After Im out of there and wait a little bit the girl that is supposed to be there shows up and never apologizes. She cut my hair a little worse than I would have. Never offered a drink or anything. But everyone elses waters looked pretty good. She was sick they said and at one point she sighed right in my face. Awesome. She didnt seem to try very hard to make sure it was even just rolled around on her stool. Danielle always had me stand up bc my hair is super long. Also, I dont think they sweep their floors anymore. Ihloff here I come!

The name is misleading - You can’t walk in and get a haircut, but you can be told to come back in 2 1/2 hours. Should be renamed “You Need an Appointment by Robert Crimea’s”.

Couldnt even set up an appointment. Im not sure if its because theyre super busy (which would be weird since according to the name, theyre supposed to take walk-ins...) or just that they dont have a good procedure for making appointments, but either way Im not going to trust them with my hair if they cant even get the simplest thing done.

Awful customer service they advertise a 20 cut and 40 color which my wife asked for ended up charging her $100 and won’t acknowledge the prices they have advertised. Don’t go here go somewhere where they honor the prices advertised.
