I was charged for a service that they were not experienced with and they did not provide a refund within the time of the warranty. The person who inspected, insisted that the insects were drain flies.. I just found out they are actually called No-See-Ums and they can be caught with CO2 traps. I wish I knew this before paying them a bunch of money to spray the house with stuff that didt work.

I met the Truly Nolen sales rep Ronald at my Miami, FL home and he was very friendly and patient with all of my questions. He gave me a quote for $1,500 to fumigate my 2,600 sq. ft home, which I felt was a good deal. I expressed my interest in a weekend fumigation date which he was able to provide a month out.Unfortunately, this is where the ‘less than positive’ part of our experience starts. The crew canceled my fumigation hours before it was set to begin, citing some non-specific emergency they had to tend to at another location. This was disappointing considering my elderly parents and I had packed away boxes outside of the house, already paid for 3 days of dog sitting services and pre-made plans for lodging. When I asked for the next available weekend date they gave me another month out. Instead of the hassle of going thru all this again I bit the bullet and agreed to a weekday date 5 days later. It was an uncomfortable 5 day wait considering my family had everything remaining in boxes. Although I was already out of pocket close to $100 just for the dog sitting I asked the company for at least $50 credit towards my bill. Yolanda and Ronald told me that instead they would give me an “overnight fumigation” at no additional charge, which I was told is usually an extra expense. Because of this I was told they could not give me any credit on the fumigation other than $50 credit towards additional season maintenance service.Once the 2nd fumigation date came around the house was tented as normal. We were repeatedly told that not only would the house be cleared to move back in no later than 9pm the following night but that the vikane gas would leave zero odor by move-in time.On move-in day 8:30pm came around and we still didn’t receive any notification from Ronald nor Yolanda (the crew dispatcher) all day long. I got worried considering it was already late at night and my family was anxiously waiting to move back in. After texting Ronald he responded that the crew chief would be onsite to clear within the next hour and he’d let me know a final answer soon. I showed up at the house and realized a noticeable smell coming from all around the perimeter of the home. It smelled like a gas which concerned me considering i was told repeatedly that the house would be odorless by move in time. I decided not to move my family back in that night and left, deciding not want to wait up to an hour at my house for the crew chief to arrive. So I left and waited for a final answer from Ron. Midnight came around and still no notification. I texted Ron asking why no one bothered to give me a status. He said that he misunderstood and thought I was going to meet the crew chief anyways.I responded that I smelled an odor coming from the house and didn’t feel comfortable moving my family back in. He did not respond to my specific concern about the odor at all and instead texted “I am sure that everything went well as per the crew chief”.The next morning my family moved back in because we noticed the smell had finally gone from the house. The whole point of an overnight fumigation seemed like a waste of time to me.The final bill arrived in the mail and by this time I insisted to Ronald on some kind of credit for our inconveniences and personal expenses lost through this process. He finally responded to my concern about the odor and said it may have just been a dead animal. I disagreed and said it smelled like a gas and asked for at least $50 credit and he said “that’s not how it works” and advised me to contact the regional manager.I explained my situation in detail to the regional manager for Miami, Yadnier. He immediately paraphrased some legal verbage from my contract that basically said they are not responsible for keeping to their proposed deadline due to ‘many variables.’ This generic answer did not make any sense based on the fact the crew chief cleared the house despite a strong odor all around the perimeter. Eventually I realized that Yadnier was not interested in listening so I closed the conversation.
