Please be aware that this facility stops releasing vehicles at 4p.m even though it states the facility closes at 5p.m online. They are still open but they will NOT release your vehicle! Not very pleasant at the front so be prepared for a bit of attitude. But that all changes when you reach the yard- very pleasant and very helpful with finding your vehicle.

Was in car accident and policed towed the car here. Came today to get our property and stuff inside the car. Professional service with good advise and very helpful. I’m sure they deal with people like us who are having bad days and they were all helpful specially Judy at frond desk. Stressful situation that went smooth as possible.

I was stuck with a busted radiator hose. I called and was quoted a time of 20-30 mins. Barely 15 minutes later, David showed up and got me hooked up and towed home. He was very friendly. I rode with him to my destination and he was great at conversation. He knew exactly what he was doing and was swift and professional. I will definitely be calling S&W if I need another tow.

I walked into this establishment and the man behind the counter was cursing because another customers card was declined twice. He continued to curse and did not care that another customer was in the lobby. The older lady blatantly lied to my face stating my vehicle was released earlier that morning however I saw my car on a tow truck when I pulled in. They were not supposed to release my car until I got my personal belongings. Clearly all this establishment cares about is money and customer service and professionalism means absolutely nothing to them. Sad.

Mmmmm it was alright. They can do better but were all human and all just enjoying the journey AKA metamorphosing to something better and greater! Everything can and will improve only thing is time hasnt caught up yet but eventually will .( the God you pray surfing online with a fake name and email) one my angels made it with the help of a demon. Our company, Woodvalley Landscape, was needing to tow a box truck heavy duty with a duck tail and it took us more than 8 hours and several towing companies trials to find S&W and they were finally the ones who could provide the service we needed.Lauren was super professional on the phone and went beyond the norm to help our already desperate situation. Then Duane, the towing truck driver showed up on time and was very professional and with great personality helped us out and even checked the mechanic issue. We are very please with this company service. We wont hesitate on calling again if needed.

Chris came out during rush hour on 285 today where my tractor trailer was broken down in the middle lane near Bouldercrest. He risked his life to get me and my son and truck out of the middle of road the road to safety. He had to stand inches away from cars and trucks flying by us to hook up my rig. I wish there was an option for no stars. The customer service towards minorities is beyond awful at the establishment and the woman at the front makes it very clear her she has a problem with brown races. The other customer (white) in there who was getting red carpet treatment noticed how horrible i was being treated and offered to help me.I went into S&W after my new car was totaled and i needed items inside. This was a hard day for me losing my car and i was treated like a criminal. She even made an accusation that I looked as though I may go into other cars that are unlocked on the grounds.

Good folks.. A thankless job Im sure for the most part... Alan (or Allen, not sure), I believe is the manager, I had a few questions about the way the billing was done on my truck that was in a wreck on 285 and S & W towed it in... He wasnt in when I went there... Was told he was on a run... Left my number and didnt expect a return call... Figured id have to go back up there... He called less than an hour later, explained the charges, let me know what to expect from the insurance company and from his company... I hung up with a newfound respect for him, and his team. Four stars because I had to push the shopping cart through the yard with busted ribs... A littke help from one of the yard guys would have been worth a ten dollar bill from me... No one offered and they seen I was struggling.

I almost hesitated to use this company after seeing the reviews but they came recommended and I was in a bind. My dads car had broke down on a Sunday evening and needing towing. Hammond took the call. He was very polite, professional and made efforts to connect by making us laugh during a frustrating time. He had a truck to us in less than 30 minutes. AAA had us on hold 30 minutes before calling SandW. I appreciate their service. I would use them again.

I called and the lady on the front desk said, we don’t have any driver right now, so I ask when you will have one available . She said to call the next day to see if there is any driver available. Really . How about let me get your info so we an put you on schedule for the next truck available. Many years using them to tow our trucks now I have to call another company .

Opportunists that take advantage of people who are in horrible situations. The county called them to tow my car after an accident and they grossly overcharged me to tow my vehicle 4 miles! I called and asked them what their rate was afterward and they gave me a quote, when I asked why they charged me almost DOUBLE that, they stumbled and said well youre going through insurance, what do you care?! Um, excuse me!? So they are taking advantage of me and my situation because insurance is supposed to pay for it? This is immoral and probably illegal and I will be contacting the county and others about this.

I was involved in a car accident and police towed my car to this business. I came to take some valuable item from my total lost car and they couldn’t find my car to begin with and the costumer services was unbelievable rude and disrespectful. It make me feel like I was being a big bother just for asking any type of questions... My dump truck was towed here after an accident. They changes the requirements to retrieve my items out the truck 4 times. They finally needed a letter head from company owner with a copy of my license and bin number of the truck. As expected personal items missing.

Officer was patrolling in my subdivision and running plates to different cars (Officer Floyd) of Stone Mountain police department knocks on my door to tell me I have a warrant out and that he has to tow my car mind you I was in my bed sleeping I wasn’t pulled over my car was parked in my driveway I asked how is this legal if I wasn’t pulled over I never signed any citations never pulled over this man literally just knocked on my door first he asked for my keys and license I refused then he says I’ll just tow the car so he called this towing company and here I am I have not dealt with the towing company yet because they are closed but this has to be the dumbest thing I ever heard of in the state of Georgia

My husbands car was towed and damaged by the towing company. His bumper is hanging off, his rims were scratched, and the front of his car is scratched all on the front. This damage was NOT there before his car was towed. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude and disrespectful. When we told her our car was not damaged before the towing she accused us of lying and said, “ it’s your word against ours”. Another employee told me that there is NO way that damage could have occurred because of the way they tow the cars. The person towing the car is supposed to document any damages to the car before the car is towed to protect the company from any liabilities. He did this after he damaged the car. Fortunately, an employee at my husbands job recorded the tower taking his car. The car was dragged at an angle from the parking spot and the front was pull across a curb. Now, the towing company is refusing to contact us or return our calls. Despite PROMISING they would pay for damages.

Worst customer no service ever. 3 hours to arrive after they told me it would take 90 mins. Showed up removed the dry shaft from the rear of the truck and never placed it back in. Driver claimed that he had another call to respond to! Beware of the dishonesty of this company and seek another tow company that actually cares about customer service.

S&W Service are very unprofessional. During a loading they damage right side and they told me they will pay for that. After 6 weeks they paid but it was so difficult to explain to them and they were think it was not them. If you get involved in accident do not let this company to tow your vehicle also they were very rude and unprofessional I highly Not RECOMMEND THIS TOWING SERVICE.

Just witnessed these guys clean up after an accident on Lavista Road. The guy had great hustle and his step took care of everything real fast very professionally. I wish everyone that worked for the county or city worked that efficiently.

It’s unfortunate your car has to be towed in the first place so I can see why a lot of these people are upset. But in terms of s&w’s services to get your car released, I found them to be fair and courteous of my time so I wanted to give them a review (I don’t see how they benefit from online reviews seeing as their business comes from people that call them to tow, but here we are).My car was there 1 day and it cost me about $150. You need to pay in cash but there’s a chevron gas station walking distance if you need an ATM.The woman working at the front (didn’t get her name) was very polite and had to handle 3 calls a minute while working with us in person. And I thought she did a great job given all she has to handle. She was very kind to me and fair to me with pricing.Chico works in the lot to help you get your car out. He hustles and works hard to help you.Even though I’d rather not deal with this process altogether (of course), s&w treated me fairly which I really appreciate. My advice to anyone is just to be patient with the process.

Very expensive. 3 mile tow cost $175 plus $45 clean up fee (there was no clean up at the accident site) plus $25 storage (for less than 24 hours) and some other $40 fee... I lost count.

I wish I could rate this company a zero. My car was left on the side of the road and was told to call 511. They gave me the number to this company. A very rude man answered the phone: I was on the highway and tried my best to give him my exact location. He, very rudely, yelled Mam, I dont know where you are. This exit DOES NOT exist. He kept asking me where I wanted to get my car towed to and from what I was able to understand they charge $125 for towing and $3 per mile. That is absurd. Long story short, they did not help me. He couldnt find my location and ended up hanging up on me. I would not recommend this company.

Sheila was very rude! Even another employee said others have complained and that she is rude to people of color! I witness this today while getting my friends car released. You may want to check your employees and let them know about good customer service.

I called this company after calling someone who was rude and told me it would be 45 mins before he could get to me even though his company was on the same street I was stranded on. When I called S & W I got fantastic phone service and when I asked how long I was told I could be helped in 15 minutes. The tow truck driver, Earl was there in 7 minutes! I was very upset with my car issues and Earl was kind and most helpful. Earl is awesome!

I get there the next day to pick up my personal belongings and they strip the car and stole Everything inside that was valuable....Wireless Beats by Dre, Apple IPods, Radar Detector, Micheal Kors watch and every piece of change in my console.... The lady at the desk got smart and I had to curse her out and then I called this morning and soon as I ask about my belongings the lady got aggressive and said my boss will contact you and hung up in my face..... My attorney call and she finally said her Boss name was Allen and he will get in touch with me about my belongings......DO NOT LET YOUR CAR GET TOWED HERE.... So my trailer to my tractor was towed by this company on Christmas eve afternoon by this company. When I contacted them the women I spoke with on the phone told me how much it would cost to get my trailer out, but on top of that they dont accept credit cards/debit cards and they were closing at 2pm. It was about 1:30pm anyway when I realized I wouldnt make it there by 2pm I called back to see if they could wait about 10 extra minutes before they closed. This was after I explained that I had to go to my bank withdraw the money then drive 20mins to them which wouldve put me there at about 2:10pm. Well dont you know they wouldnt stay the extra 10mins so now its costing more money until I get it out 1st thing tomorrow morning...terrible customer service all they wanted was that extra money.

After my car was picked up from a breakdown on the interstate S&W safely stored my car. Pick up was quick and easy and they even offered affordable tow service.

Bunch of crooks! And poor customer service! My car was towed after 11:30pm on 11/14. I went in there before 10am on 11/15 to collect it and they tried to tell me it was there for two days (the guy who towed it had written down 11/13 at 3am on the paperwork and in the system). I had to show them some paperwork from the scene to prove them wrong. Woman at the desk also gave me the paperwork for a completely different car as I left. Dont let them tow your car if you can avoid it! If you do (because of the police dept) keep all evidence of the actual date you got your vehicle towed. Otherwise, prepare to pay an extra fee for nothing.

Car got towed yesterday after a traffic stop. Called first thing the following morning to find out pricing and was put on hold for no one to ever come back. I had to take care of some business so I decide to just pick up the car on the way home. Called again on the way to the office and was told that we couldnt pick the car up today because they closed at 3p. We called at around 330p. The website states that the facility closed EVERYDAY at 5p.Bad business.

My vehicle was towed to this lot. when I called to confirm the location, I was told by a woman employee that my car wasnt there. two days of trying to locate my car, finally on my 5th call on the 3rd day a gentleman was able at find my car in two seconds. Needless to say now my car had accumulated days of storage fees, i could have picked up my car on day one if it wasnt for the incompetent woman. When I go the the lot in person, the gentlemen named Chip was very kind considering the situation, he was understanding & reasonable. he saved me a complaint with management. I was in an accident on 6/12/18 in Decatur, involving 3 vehicles and I was not at fault. S&W came to tow the cars. I asked the first driver if I could just use AAA and have it towed to the body shop. I was told that was not allowed, but no reason why. Two of the cars were blocking the roadway but I was parked on the side of the road. The other two cars were towed. by the first truck and one of the drivers demanded my keys and drove my car into a parking lot to wait for another truck. I again asked to use AAA and have it towed to the body shop and was told no, we have to tow it to our lot in Tucker for it to get the insurance estimate. I talked to the Decatur police department who told me that if my car was blocking the roadway, I would not be allowed to wait for my own tow company, but since it was not, I should have been allowed to do so. Today, 10 days after the tow, I received a certified letter stating that charges of $175 for initial tow, $25 per day, and a notification fee of $125.00 had accrued and that if I did not have the car removed by the 30th day, it would be sold at auction and the title cancelled. This is an Audi A8L, not some junk car. AND THE ONLY REASON IT IS STILL AT THE LOT IS BECAUSE GEICO HAS NOT SENT AN ADJUSTER OUT. I have been cleared on any fault. Poorly done S&W and rudely as well. Steer clear of this business and know your rights.

Lady at desk was very pleasesnt. When I called back concerning my relay the man who answered the phone was very rude and unprofessional . Been given different information of time frame when the auto would be toll to my home. Last commo was one hour which was two hours ago. Not a very friendly business . I would never use them . Unfortunetly this is where the police dept had the auto toll too. Not saying the drivers or getting toll is bad but who answers their phone needs training on manners.

S & W stays in business because of their relationship with the DeKalb County Sheriffs Department.Their entire business model is based around preventing you from getting your car out in a timely manner.Only the title owner can pick up the car but they do not stay open for long enough for a working person to get their car after 5pm. I called at 6:30pm on a weekday and someone answered the phone and told me I owed $175 but they are closed and it will be $185 tomorrow. I am still unsure how someone could be in the office yet not available enough to let me get my car out. I have seen towing yards run by 16 year old girls in the middle of the night so I am pretty sure that S&Ws admin issues are not so unwieldy that they need multiple people in the office to discharge a vehicle.This allows them to charge for each additional day that you cannot make it down there. I had to leave work on my lunch break in order to make it happen.Upon arriving I was told that it would actually be $210 (because on the 4th holding day a $40 admin fee is applied).I begrudgingly accepted and paid the fee. I then went to go check on my car before it was released to find that the key had been left in the ignition for 4 days rendering the battery dead. I can only assume that this was also deliberately done so that I would be forced to leave my car there for longer and incur more fines.I loudly complained to the staff about what they had done and was told that my car wouldnt start because there was corrosion on the battery and that the key being left in the ignition would have nothing to do with the battery being run down.To top it all off; while I was waiting to have this lovely interaction I watched the staff try to scam an undocumented man out of his vehicle. His 93 car was damaged and required $470 to be released. S&W employees were encouraging him to turn over his title and $125 in order to call it even or be forced to go to court. Obviously, if this guy was indeed undocumented he would have no choice but to acquiesce to these demands.S&W Towing Service is corrupt and shady as can be. STAY AWAY.

This company takes absolute advantage of their relationship with the Dekalb County Police. One of our vehicles was involved in an accident and Dekalb County said it needed to be moved. While our tow company was en route, the conflict of interest kicked in and S&W Towing was called. A complete ripoff! They charged $750.00 to tow our truck .2 miles to their yard. YES, you read that right .2 miles!!! It was on their lot for less than 30 minutes. If there ever was a conflict of interest involved with the police, this is a prime example. While they win today, in the end, Ill be heard and my hope is that they lose this relationship with Dekalb County or at least some business. When I complained to the dispatcher, he did not care. He did, however, give me the name of the owner. Id suggest you steer clear of these folks. The owner is Rod Sieg. Rod, what a scam!

Will not let me get to my truck to take pictures or let lawyer back there to it BBC its in my grandfathers name. Who had wrote out a letter stating I had all permission to to back and deal with it. I had every document they asked for for me to go back there.even a copy of his licence n a copy of the title and all. My grandfather is not able to get out of the house. They were very rude the guy there tried starting a fight with me.

Not honest! Came in 18 hours after accident, was told cost would be $500. Asked for breakdown, however they could not give me one that added up to that amount. Was told the computer made a mistake. When provided the printed breakdown, cost was almost $100 less than originally quoted and also showed 2 days of storage when it was less than 24 hours, again when pointed out the computer was to blame. No accountability! In addition, the description on the tow drivers notes were not correct. Poor business practices and taking advantage of people when they are already in a bad situation (i.e. just had a wreck) Shame, shame shame!

The service here is bad first off they only take cash which is ridiculous so I recommend getting your car out asap especially if you were in an accident (more expensive if cops call). On top of the ridiculous expense the lady at the front desk is extremely rude and acts like it was my fault she had to work there and like I was suppose to know the policies and procedures of that place. I get she might have to be a little tough with people but she just straight acted like a b**** right out of the gate and I never raised my voice or had an attitude. My car was towed without a winch. They charged me $265 to tow a small, two door, still drivable truck 4 miles. When I asked why I was being charged winch fees when I saw the towman clearly drive the truck right onto his tow truck without a winch, the woman at the counter threatened to hike the price up by $100. She didnt want me to ask a question. Ridiculous. Definitely corrupt and in total cahootz with the sheriffs department. If I could give -100 stars I would.
