My 12 year old son and I had a fabulous day with Blake. The trip was exactly what we hoped for and Blake was tremendously kind and helpful for both of us. If you want to have a great time on the river, I highly recommend Hunters Bigger Fish.

Both my sons had the opportunity to fly fish with Blake for the first time this past week. Needless to say, they are hooked. Blake was very patient with them and educated them on all the elements to become a good fly fisherman. Both boys were lucky enough to catch a few fish. Would highly recommend Blake to anyone who is looking to learn fly fishing in the Truckee area.

This review is long overdue. Blake has taken me out twice - one to the Truckee for nymphing, once to an easily accessible place for dry-flys. I really appreciated his in-depth knowledge of the river, as well his advice on everything from my cast to how to properly rig my line to optimize my chances for success. This guy is a great guide- you wont regret booking him. (As an aside, I took my little girl with me on the dry fly trip- she is very young- and Blake was an exceptionally gentle teacher with her. Id give him the highest recommendation for all skill levels.)

Blake was a fantastic guide- we caught some huge fish, went to some wonderfully beautiful spots, and Blake did a great job juggling between me (a very inexperienced novice) and my hubby (who was asking him all of the pro questions). Very knowledgable about the waterways around Tahoe. We have used a few other guides in the area and Blake was by far our favorite.

Awesome guide who took me to great spots off the radar. Was very patient, friendly and helpful. Learned a lot about better drifting technique and fly selection -- and landed a good number of nice trout!
