My kids love going to Troy Martial Arts. We were looking for karate schools and we definitely made the correct decision.The place is very clean, organized, and they follow all the health protocols. The master is fabulous, energetic and patient.

Master Trudeau is an amazing teacher. It is incredibly obvious she loves teaching. Her enthusiasm is contagious and my son always leaves class happy & exhausted. She has high expectations but balances that challenge with so much encouragement & praise to every student. Mark does an amazing job behind the scenes. He’s so helpful & kind. Despite the many students he checks in, he still greets my son by name each day he arrives. I also appreciate how seriously the team takes the health & wellness of everyone who enters the building. It makes me feel very confident about my son’s safety.

What I like about this place is that they practice COVID 19 precautions such as social distancing of the students during classes, make sure they sanitize their hands before and after the class and most importantly wear mask. Mr Trudeau, the owner ensures the safety of the kids by making that the person who picks up the kids are the parents or the guardians. The Instructor, Master Tammy Trudeau is very good and adjusts her teaching strategies based on the kids age and skills.

It is a really amazing place and teaches you how to have great work ethics and helps mental and physical self-improvement.

Initially, my son joined as a month trial just to do some extra strength and training for other sports he plays. After a month, he absolutely loved the classes, variety and is continuing on! I am from Korea, the country of Taekwondo. So I was curious about how to do American Taekwondo. After a months promotion, I decided to register my son Dan without worrying about Troy Martial Arts. There are many reasons. First, Taekwondo of TMA is systematically taught more traditionally than in Korea and is connected with Korea Taekwondo Association Kukiwon. Second, the policy against viruses is good, so you can safely learn during Taekwondo classes. Third, stretching before and after Taekwondo classes is a great help in strengthening your physical strength. Fourth, because the master and the office manager are so friendly, my son Dan chose TMA. Fifth, my son Dan didnt like sports very much, but he started to get interested in sports through TMA and hes involved every day.Im very satisfied this.

We have been participants with TMA for almost a year now. I first joined because of the unisex aspect of the sport (I have b/g twins) along with how affordable it is. I was pleasantly surprised with how organized and maintained this place always has been. Prior to covid and after with all the new protocols in place.My twins have gained a sense of self worth, confidence, and accountability along with their new moves. They have a sense of pride with what they do now. And it’s all thanks for the positive reinforcement they receive here. The Master and the staff are supportive, caring, and encouraging on top of being very knowledgeable and proficient. I would hands down recommend this place with 10+ stars.

DO NOT SIGN UP YOUR CHILD HERE! My child is in kindergarten and while focusing on learning new skills and trying to follow the instructor, his mask slides down under his nose here and there. The instructors attack him before he can even slide it back up. It seems that all the instructor and her husband do is talk down to him and belittle him during class, because they don’t want to interrupt their class to tell him to put his mask on. HE’S 5!!! Instead of focusing on teaching him the principles of TKD, they are more focused on “looking good” on the outside. Showing parents how they follow Covid Rules. They are afraid that someone might complain about something and they get shut down. It’s all about the money. They are very unprofessional in my opinion and don’t care about the mental health of kids during a pandemic. All they care about is a dingy mask that a 5 year older is supposed to have tightly on his face while moving around. On our last class, the owner told me he’s afraid of getting Covid and dying. Who says that, really? Go get the vaccine. Sit 20 feet back in your desk like you always do. My child will not be the one to give you Covid. They lost my business. Thank you for teaching my child what quitters his instructors are.

We came in to check out this school, we found the owners to be rude, unprofessional, unwelcoming to prospective new clients. We were there less than 10 minutes and left. We will never come back and we do not recommend anyone else send their kids here. Terrible first experience. Both husband and wife are rude and unwelcoming. They are not the only game in town. We will give our business to their competitors.

My name is Aala Alseifi, This place is great for kids it makes them learn to defend themselves against people who bully them my daughter is learning so much with this martial arts I love it for my daughter and so clean and the kids put hand sanitizer when they come in and when they come out.

One year in and my 8 year old son has gained strength, flexibility, confidence and discipline that he carries into his other sports as well. Master Trudeau is fully engaged in her high energy classes, teaching by example at every level of experience. It is really terrific watching these students progress. Nice environment, well organized, clean, and fun for kids to learn martial arts.

My son says it’s a fun place to work hard with others. They get to practice with targets and bags. He likes being able to practice with his peers. My daughter likes the obstacle course that the kids occasionally do. Both just love Master Trudeau.

Great place to go. I just started tonight and the instructors are patient, good personalities, get the most out of you while not pushing past current physical fitness levels. I have taken my son twice on Saturday mornings and he loves it. Clean, high quality school definitely recommend for any and all levels. My son has been with Troy Martial Arts for over 5 years, and we have been very happy with their instruction. Cant really say enough about this school. Both Master and Mr. Trudeau are great, and are very reasonable. Even during the pandemic, I feel very comfortable sending my son to Troy Martial Arts. My son, who was a bit nervous about going back to school, had no problems going to TMA on the first day of their reopening. The dojang is always clean, even before the pandemic. They appear to have taken every precaution in safety for the students and parents. But this is not unexpected. Again, we have known Mr. and Master Trudeau for over 5 years, and I know how detail orientated they are (Mr. Trudeau even posts the average # of students per class, so students can choose class sizes that they are comfortable with.) We have come to trust them, as they truly care about their students, the families, and the instruction of Tae Kwon Do.

The class is managed in very disciplined way by the very good instructors. Kids learn very interestingly and enjoy the class. Definitely helps kids stay healthy especially during winter months.
