People are very nice and friendly. Also service was fast. Full warranty makes it even better Tires are expensive but they are everywhere just about in these parts. Nowhere around has deals on tires like big cities unfortunately so this is probably as good as you will get.

I wrote a review a week or so ago, and I couldnt find it so I decided to do a new one.. so I had my oil changed by a individual who confirmed the truck was leaking oil.. only thing we cant figure out is how it had nearly 8 quarts drained, and we have no idea where all this oil is going because it was in fact not low in oil at all but well over what it should be. (no exaggeration at all) that has nothing to do with this company, just letting everyone know that my review before was wrong.. I was thinking that, like some mechanics and oil change places Ive been to before that they were like any other and tried to tell you things were wrong when they really werent, I was wrong. Just a few days later after my review, my mom and my two kids and I were in Troy for a doctors appointment. My moms car had started running hot so we stopped in and they checked on it and the radiator hose had came off or something in that area, it was cold and rainy that day and the guys let us all stay in the car and we didnt even have to get out. They fixed the radiator hose and filled it up with coolant, it was a good hours worth of work these guys did, and we asked them what we owed them, and they said no charge. At that moment I felt two feet tall and like the most horrible person in the world. These are good guys and I will recommend them any time. Thanks again!

I was staying at a nearby hotel and we woke up to a flat tire. They brought an air tank to me, pumped up my tire so I could drive it to the shop, and then had me all fixed up within 30 minutes. Excellent service!!!!!! Thanks guys!

I put 650 miles a week on my car. I’ve been coming here like clockwork for regular maintenance for about two years. The staff is truthful, consistent, and professional. Chase has given me good advice on taking care of my car without trying to up sell me. They return my car in the same condition I gave it to them, never any scratches, dings, or grease stains. Despite all the driving, my car hasn’t skipped a beat and I know I probably owe it to how thorough and careful Jim Whaley services it.

You will not find a more more pleasant cordial staff. They always explain any needed information about what is being done or questions I have in a way that is easy to understand. The whole front area is run quietly and efficiently. They rival any prices I have gotten elsewhere from tires to service upkeep and just seem to go beyond what I experience as a woman in other shops. Dropped truck off at 7:15 didnt get tires on it till 5:15. Nothing like wasting an entire day on four tires. This kind of service has become the norm rather than the exception.

They were very helpful, I was having a problem with the lock on my spare tire, I own a 2008 Ford pickup and it has a lock system to prevent theft, the last time the tire had been used whomever unlocked it to remove the spare did not replace our key and therefore we were unaware that it was an issue... These people we friendly, relatively fast, and very reasonable... I recommend them to all who need their services.... Thanks Jim Whaley Tires!!!

Very great place they did a flat repair for me in 20 minutes and didnt charge me. People dont do nice things like that these days, so gestures like that go a long way.

Tire with nail and the last person to tighten the lugnuts cross threaded the nut and ruined the stud. They replaced the stud that had to be cut off on each side and driven out and then replaced with new. Took about 2-1/2 hours and the cost was extremely low and we feel we still owe them more. Was driving thru Troy pulling our 12,800 lb. 5th wheel back to Mi higan..

I took my truck to them. They tried to tell me my new truck needed a front end on it. Wanted to charge me $1000. I took my truck back to chevy. After I cursed them out. I was told there was nothing wrong. Second opinion also showed nothing wrong.

I normally have used another shop to take care of service issues on my Altima, but based on recommendation from a coworker I decided to visit Jim Whaley Tires in Troy. I really have to give credit to James who was very helpful in explaining my options to repair my AC, being honest about the process and how much out of pocket Id be looking to pay. Not only did he discuss that with me but as I was in for na oil change he had his service technician take an extra look at something that could prevent me having to pay for that altogether. Will come back for future needs and recommend to anyone needing their vehicle serviced.

Took my car in to Jim Whaley’s due to the CEL flashing at me out of no where and received excellent service from the guys here in Troy. Thought I would get the typical over-priced quote about parts I don’t need, but instead I got honest, educated advice that lead to a more than pleasant experience. They fixed my car for an extraordinarily low price and I can’t say enough about the crew on HWY-231. If you have issues with your vehicle and you don’t take it to these guys, you’re doing yourself a disservice. Period.
