Im a first time customer and received a perfect haircut from Ali. You know when you get a haircut and usually have to go home and fix it a bit? That didnt happen today. 👍I will be back for my next haircut! Also, you can make an appointment online which is helpful.

Friels - the only place you can get a legitimate beard trim and excellent mens cut for ~$20. Staff is always friendly, atmosphere is pleasant and laid back. Always see parents in there with their kids. An absolute gem in Hamilton. Cannot recommend higher!

It was my first visit last Thursday afternoon; I wanted a short buzz for the summer. I spoke to the owner prior to that day but he was not there when I arrived so I chose Jeff. He is nice & made sure that the length & style was to my liking. I walked out of there 😄 to see the result. I received numerous compliments from people as well; it was remarkable. I highly recommend this place as I have also seen how the other customers haircuts looked impeccable from the other stylists.

Joe, and the staff at Friel’s Barber Shop are the real deal! Consistent cut, beard shave (with shape up), eyebrows and more! I always leave feeling 10x better and better looking of course. Glad I found Friels, feel like I have been going there for years every time I walk in. They do everything from shape ups, haircuts, and shaves. Feel great every time I walk out. The staff here made me feel welcome from the moment I opened the door. Jeff was great with my son, who had never had a haircut before. Such a great Barber Shop! The staff is warm and friendly, and they do an amazing job. I brought my twin 1 year olds to have their first hair cut, and the Barber was so kind and understanding when they were a bit nervous. They did everything they could to help make it an enjoyable and easy experience and I appreciated that more than they know. This shop is in our hometown (we live over 2 hours away now), and I will continue to plan haircuts around trips to the area so we can go to Friels. There really is not another place like it!

Wow!!! Im so glad I took the time on Google to find this place. This is truly a spectacular barber shop. A hot towel shave seems to be a dying art and is hard to find now a days but it is still available at Friels. A shave is worth every penny and is an experience that should not be missed. They are also great Mens barbers. I cant speak to each barber but Jeff is a true professional. I could not be happier with my first visit and this shop will be my new go to when I am in the area.

Everyone is extremely nice and relaxed at Friels. In the past I had been to other shops where the the haircuts were not so great on top of the stylists being a bit cold or even rude to me. The barbers here know what theyre doing and then some. I have been twice and gotten designs on my undercut buzz, and each time I have received plenty of compliments for them. The woman who has done my hair is very skilled, gentle and precise with her work. I trust the people here to do a good job and make sure that Im comfortable in the process of doing so. I kind of used to dread getting buzzed, but I dont mind coming here at all. Theyre lovely.

Im a picky person when it comes to haircuts. I came across this place thanks to Google. The only place in the area that had 5 stars. Im from California visiting for work and was in desperate need of a cut. And boy 5 stars was right. They did exactly what I wanted and the atmosphere was great. Great music on in the background and everyone just chit chatting making it a very comfortable environment. I would definitely recommend this place and definitely will be back for another cut!!! Every barber there is very friendly and more than capable of providing a great hair cut. I always just take whos available and have never been disappointed. My 7 yr old son loves everyone there as well.

Update during COVID. They recently reopened and have to say their precautions were excellent. Made me feel very comfortable. Masks, gloves, disposable covers, and temperature checks. They also take appointments to avoid the wait!Great service. Friendly atmosphere. Great prices. Highly recommend for a cut.

Jeff is the best barber Ive had in years. Joe Friel, the owner is charismatic and extremely friendly. The rest of the staff are top notch as well as theyre all very experienced and have come to work at Friels Barbershop from other shops. Its an all star team if you will.

First time in a barbershop since I was about nine...absolutely loved the experience!! I got a fade cut and, I believe her name was Kate, did a fantastic job and then I treated myself to a hot towel shave and boy was it worth it!! The environment was welcoming and friendly with great music playing!! 10/10 would go again and I am one of those 10!!! Fantastic barbershop!

Friel’s Barber Shop was the first shop I stepped into in over two years. I was warmly greeted by my good friend and neighbor, Joe Friel. Within no time I was in a comfortable chair, shooting the breeze and asking for the shortest cut I’ve ever gotten because I knew he was gonna knock it out of the park. I’ve been converted! The music and vibe of the shop made me want to stay beyond my cut. Joe cut my hair fast but also took his time, paying attention to the details. He shaped my beard, trimmed the eye brows and hit the back of the neck with warm cream, razor sharp blade and a nice after shave, which made me smell better than I had, in a long time. That was the first of many visits to Friel’s Barber Shop. 🤘

Great modern barber shop. Its tough switching shops when youre in a new area but Jeff does a great job and even cut my 3 year old sons hair. Doesnt rush and pays close attention to detail.

Tried Friels for the first time this Friday. Asked for comb over high fade. They did exactly what I asked for and did a great job! Ive been getting fade haircuts for 20 years and this is one of the best. I will be back.
