Booked a “hair cut” NOT a “clipper cut” with Madison. I took in photos of the style I was requesting, and was very specific about NOT wanting it shaved or to short! A FEMININE faux hawk pixie style. She brought out the clippers and before I could say anything ( or look in the mirror) she had it shaved on one side, leaving very little on top! Then she did the other side and back with the clippers and hacked off the top with scissors! It looked like a MANS military cut..a flat top! She did NOT COME EVEN CLOSE TO THE STYLE I SHOWED HER! She must do mostly men’s hair and habitually cuts everyone’s the same! Again, I booked a haircut, NOT A SCALPING! I hate it, and will NEVER go back! Ladies, unless you’re going for a butch haircut, stay away!!!

Always had long hair but was comfortable all the way through the haircut, it looked great from start to finish and I plan to go back everytime I need a haircut.

We’ve gone to Madison for my husband, me and my son and all three love her! She is meticulous and takes her time. Best haircut I have had in a long time, super long hair that had become dull and flat, she made it look perfect. 100% recommend!!

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m picky when it comes to my haircut. I was looking for a stylist or barber that could do a good fade but it seemed like it might not happen in Traverse City. I heard about Chad’s skill and tried him out. BEST HAIRCUT I’VE EVER HAD!!! And I’ve been getting my haircut every 2 weeks with professional stylists for 16 years. He even got me to try a hard part that I LOVE. Plus my girlfriend loves the new haircut! He’s also super positive, loves what he does, and strives to be the best he can be in his field. The atmosphere is intimate, cozy, clean, and modern. He won my loyalty and I’m glad that I found him!

Found Chad on Instagram, he was featured on Traverse City Instagram. Kept my eye on his feed for a couple months before taking the plunge and making an appt. So glad I did! He was great, super nice, amazing at what he does, and just an all around fun guy. He took the time to do a very nice clean ombre fade, its flawless, and I love it! Took him quite a while to do it on my dark brown hair, but he made sure to stay late to get it to the point I was happy. Nothing but praise for The Hair Code Salon.
