Jeff is the best!!!! My fiancé got the worst haircut at another barbershop and Jeff came to the rescue and saved the day.

My guy had a great experience here. He has long, curly hair up top but keeps the rest short and Reid make quick work of trimming up the sides and edging him. Next time he may even trust him with his curls.

So my 2 boys introduced me to Bulldogss and let me tell you what a great place!! I was there to get my boys hair cut and did not have an appointment for myself. I mentioned to Mark I had to make an appointment for myself later in the week and instead he fit me in after he finished with my youngest! What a great cut with amazing customer service!

Love this place. Modern looking barber shop. You can book times all online and its as easy as walking in get your cut and walking out. If I lived in the area I would be a regular customer.All the barbers in the shop were top notch. Myself I got a cut from kerri and my friend got his cut by the owner. Both made everything easy, comfortable, and overall a great experience.

I had my first haircut in 4 months due to Covid 19. Ive been a customer for close to 2 years. I am of an age where I am very careful with wearing a mask and social distancing. I also have family members who are at a high risk. This is not a political review, rather one based on the scientific evidence available. I was the only customer to wear a mask. The barbers told everyone it was their choice. Not all barbers wore a face mask. Some just in a face shield. The distance between chairs may be 6 feet with no shields between them. Customers sat in the waiting area in front of the chairs with no masks on. As I was getting finished up a walk in customer came in, no mask, and sat in the chair next to mine. He stated he came up from Ann Arbor to get his hair cut since he couldnt get one down there. I weighed the facts of us having a low infection rate in TC with the desperate need to get the hair cut and had the service done. Although I have always been pleased with the cuts, their cavalier attitude towards the disease forces me to find another barbershop.

Best hair cut in town

So far, so good. Pretty decent, modern barbershop. Kinda on the pricey side, but as a whole, they offer more services than a traditional barbershop would. Hey offer beverages while you wait, and the barbers have shown relatively pleasant attitudes each time I have visited. I do recommend you set up an appointment before going.

I’ve always been nervous when getting a haircut and my beard trimmed up. We visited Bulldogs for the first time and Jeff was my barber. I have to say that he did an “AMAZING JOB”! He not only did a an amazing job on my hair and beard but his overall customer service was some of the best in the business. I was excited that I was able to find a place that I feel comfortable going to. If you live in Traverse City or are visiting anytime I year,I would highly recommend Bulldogs Barbershop of Traverse City, MI.

By appointment only, but they have squeezed me in multiple times. Straight razor trims! Hot foam! Basic haircuts for me, but they can do facial hair and carry plenty of products.

Moved here in 9/2016. Needed to find a classic style barbershop with true skill. Found Bulldogs a few weeks after it opened and my search was over.The whole crew are exceptional skilled and the variety of services cover all the needs. All the facilities are very clean. A coffee or brew with a cut &a shave was the perfect final touch for me that had me as a loyal patron.

Jeff was very patient with me- and I was a few minutes late due to weather-induced 10-mile-per-hour traffic. I really had no idea what I wanted, other than I needed a beard shape and trim. We talked for a couple of minutes about my beard and then he made a couple of great suggestions and got to work. I am very pleased with his skill and experience.Whats more, the shop was extremely clean and organized. I highly recommend Bulldogs Barbershop.

Not only was my haircut done in about 5 minutes, it looks better than usual. These guys are very good at what they do.

Went in to get a trim and beard-style. Came out with a short haircut and they had no idea how to deal with a beard other than a basic shave and trim. They advertise themselves as specialists, but there are people who manage a beard far better in the small town of Benzonia a bit west. So, it was a bit of a disappointment. Top that with horrible parking in the middle of downtown Traverse City and hours that require paid parking meters, and youve got a recipe for overpriced mediocrity.

It is easy to schedule an appointment, and they offer refreshments and comfy seating if you ever have to wait. I had a poor experience with one stylist but that person was gone the next time I was there. I then had my haircut by Jaime and she took her time and got exactly what I wanted just right. She triple-checked from every angle and was nice but not too talkative. Good staff camaraderie and a clean working space left me feeling comfortable from start to finish.

Terrific experience in DT TC. I was in town as the Best Man for my buddies wedding and was NOT disappointed walking out of this place. I was offered an adult beverage while I waited, the staff was professional, courteous and definitely took their time to make sure I was looking my best for the Big Day. This would be my Go-To place if I lived in TC.

Best place in town!!!! After receiving many bad haircuts around traverse city, Bull dogs Barbershop opened. Since then I have been a proud customer! The staff at bulldogs are very friendly, skilled and professional. They offer a wide variety of services for a great price and have a convenient location downtown. Perfect place to get cleaned up before your night out!

Hands down the best barbershop in TC. Staff is wonderful (go see Cary, she does an excellent job), booking appointments online is convenient and easy, and pricing is more than fair.

Good conversation and a hip place, but being downtown makes the haircuts expensive because they need to meet the rent. There are equal or better barbers elsewhere in town for cheaper. Pretty awkward walking in. No greeting or instruction of where they wanted me to sit. 20 bucks for a mens cut pre tip.

Unprofessional. It looks cute and modern but they’re really all rude and stuck up and bad at cutting hair. They don’t communicate well with each other or customers and they make fun of each other. Major ego in the way of me coming back ever. Note, my beard line was jagged and he cut my neck open

I had an appointment with Jeff for a haircut and beard trim. I have never in my life had someone put the amount of care and precision into my hair and beard as he did. I could not have asked for a better haircut and beard trim.

Nice place, but I was dissatisfied with my cut. Told Reid to taper the sides and to minimally trim the top. He then proceeded to cut all of the hair off my head for 40 minutes. Bottom line, nice people who dont listen.

I heard that this place offered quality hair cuts for a good price. I honestly think they let the cleaning guy cut my hair. As I walked in I was not greeted. The people working there were pompous and smug. I asked if I needed an appointment, and was told, this guy could cut my hair. The guy they were talking about was sweeping the floor. I know it was a hour before closing time, but if you dont want to cut someones hair, say you cant do it. Anyhow I got my hair cut very quickly, I could tell the person was in a rush, and was doing a crappy job.

First time I tried this barber shop and it is also the last. My experience was very poor, rude staff and the worse hair cut after not having a haircut for over 2 months due to COVID-19. I made an appointment for the signature cut which should take about 40 minutes. I was finished in less than 10 minutes.

Worst haircut I have ever had. looks nothing like I told them and the lady nicked my neck and it wont stop bleeding and bled on a new dress shirt I was wearing. Didnt discount the cut or anything and just made awkward small talk about how she had never cut anyone before. Would not recommend.

After going to Robertsons since I was a kid, I was in search of a better look. My wife took my son to Mohawks for Munson last year, and hes never looked better!! So I decided I needed to find the guy who did my boys hair.I did a little searching, and someone said they thought he was at Bulldogs. Went in for a cut, but it definitely wasnt the guy I was looking for. I had a nice enough lady who cut my hair, but it was basically a super cuts, sports cuts, lady janes type of place. Im at a point in my life where a nice hair cut makes a difference, and this just wasnt what I was looking for. If you want a 15-20 hair cut, bull dogs is fine. But I was looking for someone with style.At a recent get together one of the guys, who always looks meticulous, mentioned Chad Smarsty. A quick google search and I found the Hair Code. It was exactly the guy I had been looking for! My boy and I both saw him today, and it was EXACTLY what we were looking for. My son couldnt be more excited to see him, and no 6 year old loves getting a hair cut.Went across the street to get a burger at Slab Town after, and received a compliment from the nice girl behind the counter. Cant beat an endorsement like that!! My son had a school event this evening, and same thing, the teachers were fawning over how much older and stylish he looked. The confidence it gave him was obvious!!If your looking for the polished look, hes the only guy to go see! You get what you pay for. Guys buy watches, shoes, etc etc to impress, its amazing what a good quality hair cut will do for you. It makes all the difference in your career social life, etc. Make the small investment, and youll see the pay off every time you look in the mirror.

Bulldogs gave me the worst haircut of my adult life... I came in and explained that I had a job interview the next day and that I was getting married in a few weeks, so this was a very important haircut for me. I explained to the woman that was to cut my hair that I wanted her to clean up the sides and take a very small amount off the top. Without pause my barber buzzed my head from the side to midway to the top of my head. She then spent the next 10 minutes cutting 75% of the hair off my head, even though I had given no such request. The worst part of it all was that she oriented me away from the mirror (as it seems is the custom in this establishment) so that I couldnt see or correct a single thing that she did. As she finished, she finally turned me towards the mirror and to my horror I discovered that she had given me a terrible egg-shaped hair cut that I would have to remember for years to come in countless wedding photos. I hate to criticize people that I dont know and in general the staff seemed very nice during our brief conversations. However, the woman who cut my hair demonstrated a level of arrogance and carelessness that I have rarely encountered. This place could use to be a bit less concerned with idle chit chat and bit more with the preferences and inputs of its customers.

Just got a cut from Mark, he did an awesome job. You can have a ice cold beer while you grt your custom hair cut. And they arent afraid to give some input which is awesome. Im gonna go here everytimr.
