Matt Grabel is an excellent tax specialist. I have been coming to H & R Block for many years, but Matt has been doing my taxes for the last 2 years now. This year I got back over $11,000.00 between the Federal and State tax returns. Matt knew how all the new tax laws should be used and he got me every deduction that I was entitled to.

Called and spoke with Teresa at the H&R BLOCK torrington location. I was in the middle of speaking when she kept cutting me off short and then hung up on me. Teresa had a major attitude that i dont appreciate. I was calling for some information about my taxes that i got done last year there and she was short with answers, full of attitude and unable to help me as her answer was, i dont know. When i asked for a manager she stated there was no manager there. After being hung up on i will no longer get my taxes done at this H&R block location. I have been in customer service for 10 years and would NEVER hang up on a customer.

I have been using H&R Block for at least 20 yrs. All but 1 yr the same person has done my taxes. It has always been a great experience.

My guy was pretty arrogant. Acted like he didn’t need to be there. Made sure to tell me if I was going to waste his time he would move on. In that being said it he was informational. It was less lack of any knowledge and more of attitude of the situation. Happy with the results but I also work in sales and would never treat a customer like that. I was told I got the “new customer” presentation, every single experience should try to wow you in my opinion. If you hate your job do something else..

I do apologize for not giving 5 stars bc my customer experience was amazing!! Honestly everyone in the office was great! First there was the kind woman who I spoke to on the phone, she very nicely answered all my questions and was so helpful. Then when I got to the office I was kindly greeted as soon as I walked through the door and I was surprised at how quick I was done! The gentleman John who greeted me as I walked in the door was able to get me in 30 min before my appointment!! So honestly the experience was great the only reason I gave a ok score was because the only reason I went to you guys to have my taxes done instead of using turbo tax and doing it myself, was to get the return advance! So I wouldn’t have paid $200 to find out I still have to wait just as long as I would doing it for free myself! You need to have a way for people to find out if they prequalify and are going to receive the advance or not. If I had known I wouldn’t get approved I would have done them myself!
