All volunteers, many of whom has been there for years. They all deserve our utmost gratitude. Since I know there are so many more families in need, I only go when I absolutely must. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all those who give their time energy and hope to all of us.

Plenty of good food available for people in need. The process for signing up is simple. Call Friendly Hands Food Bank and make an appointment for you and/or your family. Show up on time. They will give you a form to fill out inside. Wait outside and they will bring you a box of food. If there are items that you dont want just leave them on the table. They are currently offering Thanksgiving dinners, sign up when you get there. Dont be afraid to thank the people who are helping you, it makes their day. Make sure you have a mask!

They are absolutely amazing, friendly, and helpful. They dont make you feel like a looser, or helpless/hopeless. They truly are a great organization that has helped me and my family in these times of SERIOUS financial difficulties without a million questions. You dont even have to b a resident of new Hartford to qualify. Their door are truly open to everyone! God bless and I hope this helps 😊

There was a time back when I was younger I asked for help from Salvation Army they handed me a five dollar bill and a can of peas, I was alone and expecting my first child. Years later I tried to get help from Fish they made me feel like I was a second rate citizen and I was struggling to make ends meet putting myself through college on my second degree and trying to find a job after divorce and had four children. Struggling to make ends meet most of my life I finally got a job in the medical field Which did not pay much and we were on the verge of financial crisis with every ne getting laid off still alone with four kids and not getting help from Fish, I went to Friendly Hands and they were the only ones that made me feel like I could do this there are many women out there raising their families alone and it might be hard right now But they’ll see me through and they did they never let me down and they never made me feel like I was less than what I was. I finally did get better and on my feet but life never was quite the same after the recession. If it wasn’t for Friendly Hands I don’t think I could’ve made it with four children to feed. It makes me sick to think that the only place people could go to is Fish now. This was my own personal experience With two agencies that really let me down in a big way. I had hope because of Moe And her staff a very caring considerate professionals. So why they were issued a state grant is so upsetting I can’t even put it into words. Thank you for your time
