Equipment is nice. Nobody ever seems to be cleaning machines, some vacuuming (dont get that in August really. ) I guess the lack of any sort of personalit y in the building strikes me most. You say hello,you get confusion or apathy. Goodbye is met with the same. Really more unremarkable than horrible.

Walked in a family of 4 and black card member....was td would have to pay $21 each for 2 teenagers to work out for an hour...after getting an immediate response acknowledging this issue, edited my review ;)

Gym is okay. Basic setup, lots of rules, even dress code for guys in tight shirts. The environment is very healthy for the average person but not a good gym for athletes and competitors. No grunting, who even knows what they mean by no intimidation for a gym/workout, no protein shakes. Staff more polite than most PF!

Its chill, wish they had free weight squat racks but still nice to go to 👍

Finally getting back into regular workouts now that Im vaccinated. I feel safe that everyone inside is masked, though some patrons dont wear masks properly so unvaccinated people may not feel safe. Facilities are clean and patrons all clean off their machines after use too. Employees always seem to be in a good mood and thus far have been helpful. I would give 5 stars if the showers were stalls with locking doors and hooks to hang bags instead of just cubicles with flimsy plastic curtains.

The staff is super friendly and helpful, the facilities are very clean too. I wish there were a few more machines and less strict dress code though!

I enjoyed working out there. However, when I went to renew my membership, they would not take a check, which to me is ridiculous, since I always paid for the year by check.

Clean and all covid regulations are followed and up to date. Too much weight dropping which is not allowed but staff does not address it.

Its amazing except the lay down tanning bed is disgusting and needs to be pulled apart to be cleaned plus I think it needs a maintenance as the tan was not even

Great experience with this Planet Fitness. Friendly courteous staff, Clean, spacious lockeroom, plenty of equipment with no waiting, parking close to the facility. I would rate this as the best Planet Fitness I have worked out in. Which includes gyms in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Illinois, Florida, North Carolina.

Torrington area employees are rude. Always taking breaks in the restroom. Theres always only one person working here when theres 5 employees here. I have the black card. And was told I cant use the total body enhancment thing. Which Ive used before. I pay to come here so I should be allowed to use it.

Where to begin. The positives, Its cheap. Negatives only Smith machines for squatting. Not alot of room on the free weight area. Circuit training area is too large, hardly ever more than one person in there. Current Covid restrictions are nonsensical. Dont have to wear a mask anywhere except waking into and out the door, smh. Its fake open currently because over 50 percent of equipment is taped off.

Very disappointed to see that masks are not being required in the gym. So soon after reopening and its like no one learned anything. Hope we dont regret it.

Clean with lots of equipment. It would get 5 stars if the guy behind the desk on Sunday hadnt been quite so lazy and at least asked us if it was our first time there. He checked in our one day passes and then turned around and walked away. Would also get a 5th star if they offered classes like yoga and spin.

This Planet Fitness is super cute all the equipment is new. I am not a member of it. I only go when I get out of work to support my coworkers in there weightloss goals.I am all ready a member of an other gym that I honestly enjoy, but its nice to be able to go and work out with the girls after work and encourage them to be healthier.

Was told wrong information about when I needed to come in to cancel and ended up getting charged. When I called and spoke to the manager she said “it sucks to be you”, and said she was freezing my account which she never did. Update I received an email back which basically said they didn’t care about the way I was treated. They were going to send it to the manager even though that’s the one who treated me that way. I again reached out to the manager just to be told she was busy, was told that yesterday when I tried to call back too.

I worked with the trainer Emma, shes awesome. I put what she told me right into work, working her program that night. She was right the stair climber was intense. Ive not felt a cardio workout that hard since I overdid the arc trainer years ago. Definitely recommend setting up a 1 on 1 with her!

Love the new gym and the staff were very friendly, informative and helpful. The lady at the front told me where things were and if any questions to ask. 2 of the guys helped me how to setup brand new lock. Thank you for your help.The only thing i recommend is to put more tall mirrors in the dressing room the ones in front of the showers. Only one room had the bench and big mirror. The other 2 rooms had no bench or chair and no mirror. Its just easy and convenient when changing after showering. Thats all.

Clean facility, nice staff, and great equipment are the positives. Careful in the locker room, and always lock your stuff. Learned my lesson by having my blue tooth earbuds stolen out of my gym bag today. My fault for leaving them unlocked, but was hoping that people would have more respect for each other.

This is a great gym, There is no dust. The only complaint I have is with the customers who think that they dont have germs and fail to wipe equipment after they are done working out. The staff is very friendly and professional. I would recommend this gym to anyone of any age, its simply great!!

A new lease on life. Went after gaining an extra 50 lbs over the years, fully expecting to hate it. No one was more surprised than me to love it from the first work out. Machines have changed so much lol. Easy to use with instructional pics and very affective. Noticed a huge difference within weeks. Rejoined the dating world and have had nothing but compliments. Also, have had no pain to speak of. Cant say enough about PF! For this amount of money no one can afford not to go.

New facility is clean with all new equipment. Can be a little busy at peak times but its big enough that you can keep your workout moving even when theres a lot of people. Plenty of equipment, tvs and nice locker rooms. Cheap memberships.

I have just recently joined this gym. My only complaint is the gym smells a tad bit funky, but i guess that is expected when everyone comes there to sweat. They have a professional staff that is very accommodating towards the guest i bring with special needs.

Pretty great gym! Its pretty clean for the most part, I havent experienced the dust factor that people have been talking about. I usually see people out vacuming and replacing paper towels when needed. If one does see dust, it shouldnt be a problem just saying something to them, Im sure theyd be more than happy to clean them. Theyre out all the time! Machines are pretty well kept up with, just sometimes there are machines that are clearly having a problem but dont have a sign on them. But I guess you can find that anywhere sometimes. They offer a schedule of when its busy and pretty quiet. Staff is great, they are respectful and they do a great job of assisting you with your needs when they arise.

I moved out of town and canceled my membership in person in august. I am still being charged, I called planet fitness and they said I never canceled. What a bunch of crooks.

The gym itself is pleasant, the workers are friendly in most cases. This review is for a particular incident in which I wanted to cancel my membership. I walked in and the clerk greeted me saying he would be right with me, when he got around to me all I wanted to do was cancel my membership. He repeated time and time again the same questions, even though I was very direct with this gentleman about wanting to close my account. I work in customer service myself, i undersatand the drive to keep business in the store, but because I was pressed so hard about leaving I more than likely will not return to this gym or any Planet Fitness. It should not take 25 minutes to cancel my membership.

Had an appointment for orientation but was running late, so I called to let them know! Unfortunately the person I had the appointment with left because she was sick, but NO ONE took the time to call me to let me know that she had left! So unprofessional! When I arrived for this appointment and asked why I didn’t receive a phone call the manager Adrian said you should of received an e-mail (which I didn’t) but his attitude really was so unbelievable without remorse or empathy. As a manager he made no apologies for his employees actions! Too bad I’m stuck for a year contract, but I will be looking for a new gym to go work out at! What a shame! I’m thinking this gym is just looking for the money n not the people!

Beware of poor customer service. My husband cancelled his membership at this location and then ended up with two late fees tacked on to his final charge. When we questioned what they were for we were told that the checking account information wasnt correct. Two separate employees took down the account number wrong and in the end the manager told us that the billing department couldnt do anything about it because they didnt see anything on their end. Way to go Planet Fitness! Great customer service as usual.

Typical budget gym. Usually very busy. Staff is nice. Con: mens locker room is usually a train wreck. If it doesnt stink its full of overflowing trash cans and water EVERYWHERE (the the freshly cleaned kind). Machines are usually in order. When theyre not theyre fixed fast enough. They offer a schedule as to what times are slow and what times are peak which is nice.

The new location gives you everything you need to workout right at your fingertips.

If your into just doing cardio and a cookie cutter gym routine. Then this is the place for you.

This brand new gym is awesome! I am just getting back to after gym after many years of sitting and surprisingly I love it! The machines today are so much better and I love the hydromassage and infrared light after. I literally have no pain and I think its the combination of using the hydromassage after. The energy is as lso great at the Torrington and Waterbury location. Luv it and felt different after 1-2 workouts.

Music taste here is horrible and way too loud. I shouldnt be able to hear their music through my headphones that are on full blast.On top of that. Recently, this gym has been un acceptably dirty!!!There is dust on and under the machines. I cant even pick up a weight without dust falling in my face honestly.And staff has been less friendly.

I would give this facility more stars but the club manger Diane fredsall has no ethics. She bluntly lied to my face. Hot headed Lou (employee) was ready to jump over the counter when caught in the web of their own lies. How can this be a judgement free zone if they lie to you?

Its a gym. Its kept clean,you can usually get on equipment or weights within a few minutes.The people are friendly and staff is always around.
