I was visiting the dentist and an employee was having some family issue. The dentist came in and kindly spoke to her and guided her out of the office. He is an incredible employer, who attentively listened to his assistants, worked with them, to make their work easier. He is kind and caring, which is nice to see! And he did an incredible job on my teeth, and provided me with helpful hints and advice, caring for my then We need more dentist like this and his staff, were just as delightful!!

South main dental has been absolutely wonderful. When I first started coming there they worked w me on payments which was great. Since that day they have been over the top nice and very helpful. I never have had a problem that they could not help with or fix. The lady dentist has been wonderful with what is wrong with my teeth. I had pain in my upper mouth and she said its your bottom wisdom tooth and I said no its upper. She pulled my bottom wisdom tooth and I never had pain again. OMG I love her

The girls at the front desk are very nice, and helpful with anything i needed or appointment changes that i also needed.My dentist made sure I was comfortable the whole time, and that I wasnt too anxious about anything that was happening. The assistants were very kind as well!

My dentist was amazing. She gave me great tips. She did her best to make me comfortable and she was pretty funny. Makes me look forward to coming here for cleanings. Cheyanne at the front desk is always very welcoming and respectful. You guys have a wonderful place there. Highly recommended!

I had 2 cavities repaired today. Everyone was so nice and accomodating. Cheyenne the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The doctor and assistants were taking me step by step, not rushing me. Kim was literally holding my hand cause I was so nervous. Excellent work. Thank you so much!!!

My hygienist was very thorough, personable, knowledgeable, and caring. Nobody loves going to the dentist but she made it a much more comfortable experience.

This place is amazing. I went from a dentist office that you had to wait 3 months for a filling to an amazing dentist who got me in quickly. She did a root canal with no pain and 2 fillings in the same day. She really is amazing and I highly recommend this practice.

Just had a deep cleaning that was long overdue. I can say that the staff were great, especially my hygienist who was very outgoing, professional but also very caring to make sure I was comfortable during the entire procedure. I would definitely recommend to my friends. All of my family also use this Dental facility and very satisfied.

Some of the best dent techs I’ve had and the WORST DENTISTS I’ve had. If you want to explain your symptoms for more than half a sentence before being diagnosed (before looking at your teeth) and then rushed out of the chair as fast as possible this is the dentist for you. I get that this is a busy office but I’ve never felt like I’m bothering a dentist simply by being there before. I’ve gone with a problem and left with the same one multiple times which is irritating because these appointments can be made 3 weeks to a month out with very little flexibility and the office is a half hour from my house. I’ve been double booked on my appointments multiple times and have been called at the last minute to cancel them because the dentist won’t be in the office for some random reason that isn’t even explained.An issue with a raised filling wasn’t completely rectified and upon my next visit I asked to see if it was still raised. The dentist said that she already solved the problem last visit and that my teeth grinding and irritation was an impossibility because I’d be in pain. She instead told me that I need a root canal. I decided to end my care after being refused the most basic attention and went to Aspen Dental and paid out of pocket to receive the care I needed. The dentist there confirmed that the filling was in fact high and said nothing about needing a root canal after the most extensive x-rays I’ve ever undergone. They said everything looks great and they even assessed my gum health which was perfect. My raised filling irritation immediately went away after the Aspen Dental dentist ground it down in a procedure that took no more than 5 minutes.The dentist at South Main does not want to listen to the self reporting of your issues at all. She only needs a 5 second look at your teeth to completely make up her mind and will refuse to even verify her assertions. Overall I just felt like an imposition that was shuffled around and given the minimal amount of care necessary. I’d be terrified to get a larger procedure done here because of how rushed everything is done. The dental technicians on the other hand are friendly and thorough so this is probably a great place for a cleaning. If you have husky D adult this might unfortunately be your best bet in the area but I’d do some research before needing any more than a 6 month checkup and cleaning.

I love this place. However. The new dentist guy really messed up my tooth. It never bothered me. He said he had to fill it. So he did. Now I have a knot under my tooth sticking out from my gums. I cant eat or drink anything. I am in tears and they cant get me in. 😖😖😖😖

I get super anxiety going into the dentist office, the staff is amazing calming me down and walking me through the procedures. Dr Pun has been great and done a phenomenal job! They have great technique for extractions.

As a new patient, this visit exceeded my expectations in many ways. Each individual that helped me including the front desk staff, hygienist and doctor were thorough, meticulous and efficient. A great business that is an asset to Torrington. I highly recommend.

I was so excited about how great this dentist was I called my mom right after! They explained everything to me and gave great easy recommendations for things I can do for better maintenance. They really took into consideration the little things like if the light was in my eyes, the amount of suction and if I was in pain at all. I also loved that I was asked if I had any concerns because that has never happened. The office staff was so personable and nice to deal with! These people MAKE YOU WANT to go to the dentist :)

I went here just one time in the fall of 2019. I had an infected tooth and called. They took me right away. Doctor was fabulous. Compassionate doctor and staff. She pulled the tooth all while calming me. My fear and anticipation was far worse than getting it pulled. I wanted to go back for cleaning and other things but I got very sick and then COVID hit. When my life goes back to normal I will definitely return.

I came in with an emergency. My mouth was hurting and my dentist canceled twice on me. South Main took me right away. Got me out of pain and feeling better fast. The office manager is awesome! She juggled appointments and got everyone seen on time. The assistants are friendly and knowledgeable. The Doctors are great I saw 2. Both gave me all relevant information re my procedures and after care. This is my new dentist office if your in need call them asap.

5 years ago I found the best Dentist office to have ever visit. I originally worked in town after having many happy successful visits .I now travel from New Britain to torrington passing maybe 20 other Dentist offices to visit them. If I move out of state I will travel back!!!

Obv understaffed and that’s not their fault. I didn’t talk much. I have a problem talking to people IdkSo maybe it was my fault or whatever but, the people were legit and in a week I’ll go for my follow up and explain what’s what. I’m sure they’ll fix it.

Today was my first day in quite a long time that I went to an appointment at South Main Dental. I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and clean the office was and absolutely loved the new layout. The receptionists greeted me as soon as I walked in, were very kind and professional, and I enjoyed my time in the chair while having my cleaning done and X-rays reviewed. I look forward to returning soon in order to have some work done by Dr. Narang who is by far the best dentist I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Had a temp crown put on but before the permanent one could be done the temp started falling apart (maybe 2 weeks in) The office staff informed me that their work is not guaranteed and wouldn’t do anything until the insurance company approved the perm crown or an infection set in. I use to really like this place until now. Now, I have to find another dentist to fix the breakdown until the insurance approves the perm. (We all know insurance takes forever so...)

I can’t say enough about Dr. Narang. She, along with her team have made it actually comfortable for me to go to the dentist, which is the scariest thing in the world for me. I have an immense fear of going, and everyone here is very kind, caring, patient, and understanding. I have had horrible experiences in the past, and I am so happy I have found South Main Dental, I definitely wouldn’t go anywhere else. If you have a fear of the dentist like I do, I can confidently say this is the best place I have gone to help alleviate that.

I called the office at 12:00 pm hoping for a last minute appointment due to pain and sensitivity in my tooth...the receptionist was completely understanding and although they were slightly backed up, managed to fit me in. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with courtesy and kindness which are the 2 most important qualities to a patient. The Xray tech was amazing, and Dr. Narang was informative, compassionate, and patient. It was my first visit, and I will ABSOLUTELY be returning. I had a very pleasant experience here. The office manager worked hard to get my insurance to approve of a crown for my front tooth. The dentist worked long and tried many times to make my temporary crown look decent. I am looking forward to going back and getting my permanent crown in. I’m 31 years of age and a healthy male. I haven’t had a cavity until I went here. 5! 5 cavities out of nowhere! Not saying I didn’t, but seeing as they were so small they caused no pain or inconvenience. However, the dentist felt different, naturally! She said that she wanted to fill them before they got too bad. Ok, so I went with the “professional’s” opinion. She forgot to tell me how filling them entails drilling them larger. I had no experience as I didn’t have cavities before. Now my teeth are sensitive to temperature, harder foods, and more. My molars were also coming out and I regretfully let her in my mouth again. Big mistake! She pulled them out and within the next three months I would get chips of bone breaking through my gums...ouch! One hurt so bad I had to ask for help! This was such a pain I couldn’t think straight. I went back and what does she do? She takes the end of her mirror tool and bangs on my teeth! Almost all of em! I’m not sure why, but she seemed to be surprised by it causing pain. This is a stainless steel tool FYI. This pain went into the night and I was livid. She did nothing about my chipped bone, except hurt the good teeth and give me an antibiotic. She belongs in a butcher shop, not a dentists’ office.The assistances are pleasant though! Do not make my mistake!

I had a difficult procedure done today and it was done professionally and quickly. The Dr. Listened to me using novocaine, instead of septicane which doesnt work for me. He also explained the whole procedure to me in a manner that was easy to understand and was courteous and contientious. I was asked to verify that this is indeed what I wanted done and other options were discussed.I was asked to wait in my car for about five minutes before the appointment. The support staff were also kind and helpful.he whole procedure, which was the extraction of six teeth in preparation for bottom and top plates took less than one hour start to finish.Overall for someone who hates needles and going to dentist this was a very good experience that will keep me going to this office. Thank you for your help today.

I really appreciated the dr and the dental assistants for making me feel comfortable and calming me down for extractions. I still have to get more done but I am definitely going with the team there.😁

Ive always been terrified of going to the dentist but out of all of the different dentists I have been to over the years (@ least 15 different dentists), this one is by far the best. Extremely knowledgeable and very experienced in all types of extractions making a generally traumatic experience MUCH less traumatic than Ive ever encountered. All of her assistants are always very friendly and eager to help make your visit as comfortable as possible. Every chair has a Tv 📺 with a remote and headphones, along with plenty of streaming options so you can distract yourself from the procedure with whatever you like. The best part is that they accept most types of insurance, including state which makes it stand out among the rest. I had to go during the Covid-19 pandemic and appreciated the steps they took to protect patients and themselves. I would highly recommend South Main Dental.

Im extremely happy that I switched to these people. Ive had no problems since Ive been seeing them. They managed to do things that my past dentist couldnt do. Probably because they made the effort to make it possible for my crowns to be approved by my insurance. Thank God! I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for a really good dentist. Even the women at the desk are very good at their job, as well. And the assistants/ hygienists are excellent, too. I have absolutely NO problem with South Main Dental. And if anyone that works there is reading this, thank you, VERY much!!! For everything!!!

Prior to making an appointment, I confirmed Aetna was covered on South Main Dentals website and called to make an appointment to remove 3 wisdom teeth. The girl I spoke to on the phone, sadly dont remember her name, told me she made my appointment and I asked if I needed a consultation as I was required to have one when I had a wisdom tooth removed before at a different office. The girl then suddenly remembered that I would need a consultation, a little unprofessional but whatever. I had my consultation and am told that apparently the girl I spoke to 4 weeks prior had never scheduled my appointment for the extraction for some reason, even though I verbally confirmed the date and time. After meeting with the surgeon, I am then told at the front desk that they dont accept my insurance plan, despite the website clearly stating with a big green checkmark that they accept Aetna. The nice lady at the front was apologetic and gave me a discount but I am still now out $89 with no extraction arrangements and have to re-request time off from work and go through this all again at another office. While dealing with the pain my wisdom teeth cause me. Overall not a great experience, I have no idea what I could have done better to avoid this situation, honestly, and Im mostly just disappointed and upset at the gross waste of time. The best thing this office could do to improve would be to make their website more clear of the SPECIFIC plans they accept OR make sure the staff confirms when making the appointment if the client has coverage and that they actually accept their plan before going forward.

Both Brianna and Courtney did an amazing job getting me a quoted price for some work I needed done and they walked me through everything. As long as Im in this area this will be my dentist office.

Love this dentist. I love the family. I love the workers. Everything about this place is amazing. Even with children they kept my son occupied while I was having work done and they loved him and made him feel welcomed. My work schedule is crazy and they are also amazing at working around it. Theres just not one bad thing about this office. I recommend it for everyone!!!
