Relaxing experience! Ive been putting off going to the dentist. Now Im wondering why

Ive always been afraid of every dentist and hygeniest. Aspen dental is helping me change that. Rhody is a very personable hygeniest and shes helping me be less terrified while making mouth 100x healthier. Im noticing a huge difference in my oral hygiene after all of her assistance. Shes extremely knowledgeable, and I feel like Im finally gaining control of my oral hygiene. I went 10 years without going to a dentist, and I now look forward to my cleanings! Thanks Rhody! Also, the whole receptionist staff is very friendly and they are easy to talk to. Thanks again, yall!

I had an initial consultation maybe 2 months ago with Dr. Sharma where we discussed options for fixing my smile which was quite messed up. My top 4 front teeth were permanently stained and 1 had a chip in it. My bottom teeth in the front had a gap from a childhood injury. She put on 4 crowns on the top and a bridge on the bottom and I am very pleased with the outcome.Thanks Dr.Sharma, Rhody, Keisha The Best, Christie and everyone else.

What a great team at Aspen Dental Torrington. Everything is transparent and everyone is friendly! Especially my fantastic hygienist, Rhodalyn. They did great work and followed up to make sure Im happy with everything.

Very professional and efficient staff. All expenses are explained up front and there were no unnecessary procedures recommended. It was slightly annoying to wait between each part of the visit but they had televisions in everyroom.

Rhodalyn was super fun and energetic, my teeth cleaning was easy and painless! Bonus points for bubblegum flavors of the numbing stuff (I’m not a dentist don’t judge me) Would recommend!

They are nice except for the organization.I had an appointment on day X, the same day of appointment they texted me saying that they don’t have time so they needed to reschedule me.And they were giving me an appointment for almost a month later!I had to remind them that I was in pain and that THEY - ASKED FOR RESCHEDULING ME. I finally got my appointment for the week after.Ok, fine... no problem, I didn’t complain at all....But the worst part was that when I arrived -on time- they made me WAIT ONE HOUR and 10 minutes to be attended :0 :0 !As I said they are nice people but their organization is just really bad!

The staff at Aspen Dental were great. I had a cracked tooth and my dentist wouldnt take me till July the people at Aspen took me the day I called them. Keisha was very friendly.

Keisha was so helpful in scheduling my appointment and advising me on the pricing. They took me in right away and got me taken care of more than I expected. I found out more about my mouth than ever before. Dr. Sharma and Rhody was very helpful as well.

I had a great experience at Aspen dental in Torrington, CT. Rhodalyn was very welcoming and informative. Dr. Sharma made me feel very comfortable during the process of getting my cavities filled. She was constantly checking in throughout to see how I was doing which I appreciated! Lastly, Keisha was extremely helpful when it came to helping me figure out the financial part of the process and very kind as well. I can not say enough about the staff here! They make me not dread going to the dentist! 10/10.

I got my teeth bleached today and Rhodalyn explained how it would be done and made the whole procedure seem to fly by! She’s super nice and made it fun to sit in the same place for an hour

First time at Aspen Dental and it didnt disappoint! The one I went to in Torrington was awesome. Although it was very busy, the staff made sure I was comfortable in the lounges. I enjoyed watching TV and sipping water in there. The service was also quick and well done which was excellent. Rhody, Dr. Sharma, and all of the ladies were so caring and helpful, I loved chatting with them. Dr. Sharma answered all of my questions, gave me great advice about night guards, and filled my cavities quick and easy. The office manager is so so nice and I liked how you can pay up front and all you have to do is go in and out when you come in for your next appointment. Overall a great establishment, 12/10 recommend!! :)))

The office manager Keisha and the rest of the staff are always so helpful and friendly, it truly eases the nervousness of being at the dentist. Procedures are always quick and well done.

Friendly and helpful staff- Rhody is fantastic. Very clean facilities. I’m not particularly looking forward to getting further dental work done (who would?) but I know this team will help ease my worries and make sure I’m comfortable.

Less than a year later and at least 2 of the fillings I got are gone. Waste of time and money. I made an appointment to fix them and they said they would call me back and never did. Never had this happen before in my life at a dentist... so disappointedEdit: They called once this review was posted. I’m happy to say they were very sweet and offered to fix the fillings. I went to Aspen Dental because when I called I explained that my crown had come off and I had the crown it that it was not damaged could I get it glued back on was told yes no problem we do that type of work I said great and took the appointment.After 1 hour of xrays and. sitting in the chair the dentist came and examined my mouth and tried the crown fit perfect all she had to do was glue it for me I would of played for this instead she said you need a new post and new crown and other work I said I know I do but I explained that Ive been out of work since February only collecting social security and for would you please just glue on it may last 6 months or so I need it to chew she said no I will never go back and if anyone ask me about Aspen they are terrible

After years of being away from a dental office for varying reasons I finally made the step to get my dental situation back into shape. They were so friendly and accommodating to make my situation as comfortable as possible both with their customer service and flexablilty with helping me create a payment plan. Cannot offer enough high praise for this office location.

Punctual, no waiting. X-rays were done quickly and then brought directly to the dentist for my exam. She was friendly and direct. I appreciated both.

Wouldnt even give them a star if I had to. They will overcharge you and lie on what their services really cost. They screwed me of over $1,000. There are better dentists around.

If you need a good cleaning with someone who is efficient and who makes the entire experience completely stress free, you have to go see Rhodalyn the hygienist over at Aspen in Torrington. My mouth has never felt so squeaky clean. I was happy to have my appointment with someone as caring and knowledgeable as her.

Dont go here!!!!! They will try to rope you into over priced care. Staff is phony and out for your money. Total corporate mentality of the dollar before the patient. Ended up going to Columbia right down the round. Much better care for half the price.

When we respectfully expressed concerns over the treatment plan, the receptionist took the message and embellished my comments to the office manager, who then refused treatment to my son. I told them that I hope that they record the conversation and go back and listen to it because my words were completely turned around and we were made to feel like idiots.

Very friendly and positive environment and staff. The dentist was so bubbly, personable, and sweet but also very professional and thorough in explaining what is going on with your teeth. She gave me a tour of my own teeth lol and educated me on how to spot potential issues and how to handle them. Thank you for your hard work

While it was my first time at the office and I’ll admit there was a few hick ups leading up to the appointment. When I arrived I was greeted at the door with the manager that had a huge smile on her face. (Clearly the office atmosphere is great for the employees which defiantly stood out to me.) to a safe covid safe intake experience.As soon as I got there I was pleasantly surprised by the acts of the entire team working together and communicating throughout the office to make my experience as seamless and positive that they could. Between the Doctor, the dental hygienist, and the other office staff I don’t believe I’ve ever experienced such a great experience at any other office I’ve been to in any medical niche.I am sorry I don’t know the names of the following mentioned but from what I gather I’m sure you’ll be pleasantly pleased with the service provided from anyone at this location.

Great Experience! I was seen by Dr. Sharma who was very understanding and gentle. I am always very scared of visiting a dentist but not this time. Dr. Sharma made me feel so comfortable and the procedure was completely painless. She also made sure that all my needs we met and I left happy and satisfied! I recommend visiting Dr. Sharma at this location.

I usually hate going to the Dentist, but coming to this location was a totally different experience. You feel welcomed as soon as you enter the building, every single staff member greeted you with a warm smile. Dr. Green did an amazing job fixing my two chipped teeth, and I also received an incredible cleaning. Would recommend this clinic to all my family and friends!

My visit to Aspen Dental was beyond disappointing. I visited a clinic thinking my problem (an abscess infection pain situation) could easily be resolved. They did a full denture work up and ignored my pain sending me away with a $10,000.00 estimate for an ultimate cure and no resolution to my pain problem. Sell Sell Sell don listen.

I had the chance to experience the work of two qualified dental professionals-Dr. Kavita Sharma and the hygienist Rhodalyn. I have problems going to the dentist due to past experience but when I got there Dr. Sharma calmed me down and assured everything will be fine. She explained everything she did into details before proceeding which I think every dentist should do that. We spent quality time together and even talked about Invisalign treatment. Rhodalyn the hygienist also took her time to clean my teeth and made sure I was comfortable. Mariah the office manager also kicked in with a welcoming smile and made my visit pleasant. I was very happy that I was cared by these experienced dental professionals at aspen Torrington CT. It was a great visit.

Pleasant staff, but not a fan of the wait times or upselling of services. Felt both rushed and too slow at the same time.

So disappointed in the way we were treated when we questioned the treatment plan that seemed overly aggressive to us. Then they refused to treat our family! Bad experience!

I had an extreme fear of Dentists due to many bad experiences over the years. I went to Aspen Dental in Torrington and met with the Dentist who was extremely understanding and gentle. He did an awesome job.I have been going every 6 months since for check up and cleanings with Marena she is the best @ what she does and is so positive love goin to the dentist now. Would highly recommend the Torrington office.

If I could post negative stars I would and I apologize for the long post. I came in first visit was great friendly staff it was a great experience fast friendlyand it all changed once the actual work began and everything was paid for. First I woke up in the middle of then pulling my front teeth out they had to call my father in from the waiting room to calm me back down to put me under again. At which point I apparently screamed the rest of the time while I was knocked out. After that trying to get my temporary adjusted before it was time to get my permanent they could not understand what I was trying to say and instead of working with me I had my dentures pretty much thrown at me and they lady walked out and I was left in the room with no clue what was happening. Fast forward 4 months after they reopened from the virus which I know is no there fault I was very excited to get my permanent teeth since I had been wearing illfitting dentures having to use about a tube of fixident a week. They did not have a tray small enough for my mouth for my molds. I had most of my teeth when they took my first molds so they new exactly what size and shape my teeth where. But I got huge teeth when trying to tell them that it didnt like it and the fit was off the Dr. Was talking about me to the nurse standing behind me like I was not there. I showed him my temps and told him that these look exactly how I want they just dont fit due to my gums receding so they said ok come back in next week for another trial again the teeth still to big they said ok we will make them smaller I also complained about the fit again which I was told it would get better with the different material so they thenbmake you sign a paper that after that they are no longer responsible for anything. So next week I go to pick up my permanent set and they are huge I literally started to cry as soon as I saw them they where not only ugly but could not function again I was told to wait and see I told them see for what they dont fit they said well try. soI took them home and never was able to wear them looking at them compared to the temps they instead of putting the same amount of smaller teeth they put less larger teeth in to take up the space. When I went back I explained to them all of this the women said we should have paid more attention but you signed the paper I said I didnt agree to this why would I agree to something I cant use she then at this point while I am crying started to laugh. I told her I dont appreciate her laughing and that I dont find this funny at all this is my life I am only 35 so this is allready mentally a big deal but I pad $13,000 out of pocket no dental insurance. Needless to say she tried to just shave them when she walked out of the room I heard her talking to the tech who she was asking to adjust them that I signed the paper so I do t know what she expects us to do. I mean if your going to talk about your clients atleast do it when they cant hear you I have also heard the front desk people talking about how they hate certain patients while I was walking down the hall to leave. Needless to say nothing again was solved during this visitbvisit I was laughed at and told just to try them. The process has become so overwhelming.

Great they offer new first time patients free exam and consult. However it is a scam for them to work up a dental plan of thousands of dollars for work needed. I went to get my partial denture replaced and found they would not make a permanent one until 16k worth of work was done. Even if I was willing to sign off of their supposed liability because they wanted to do 4 root canals and crowns on adjacent teeth to the partial plate claiming those teeth would not support the plate. BTW. Total cost on 1 root canal with crown was $4200 each. Thats much higher than average which is around $1800 each. Be aware of there free first visit and consult. Also. 1 day dentures are only available for full upper or lower and cheaper ones only. Otherwise 3 to 4 weeks. Nothing they advertise seems to be true.

Third episode where they were running late and the third time that the wait was over 1 hour. Language barrier a real problem because the dentist is not able to communicate to patient what is going on.

I absolutely love the dental hygienist and the receptionist at the Torrington location. They are so kind, friendly, fun, and supportive. But I feel there is too much of a turn over with the dentist themselves. It seems like theres almost always a new one every 6 to 12 months. Dr. RJ was the greatest dentist Ive ever had in my entire life. But he was only there on certain days. I would schedule my cleanings for those days. But th we n something happened and now he only stays in Farmington to help that dentist.

So friendly, thorough, and prompt! Very welcoming and updated environment; modern decor and even had a small TV screen in the examination room. I was seen by the hygienist just before my appointment time (Marina is wonderful!) and I soon after saw the Dr. Greene, who was detailed and to the point and out within 30 min! HIGHLY recommend these professionals and this location!Update since my last review, in the past 2 years, I’ve seen a different doctor each time, so not as much visit continuity as I typically like when trying to build a relationship with a provider. This recent visit I was a bit disappointed that I was almost accidentally charged $80 for the visit. I made a point of updating my insurance and contact information before the appointment. I had to directly ask why my insurance was not covering the cost of preventative services, because I know my plan should cover it. If I didn’t ask, they would’ve charged me out of network costs without checking that my plan changed from a DMO to a PPO... just makes me nervous for folks who don’t fully understand what their insurance covers/doesn’t and people may end up paying out of pocket when they should be.

The entire staff was extremely courteous and professional. I am extremely satisfied with my experience, particularly with Dr. Greene and Magda!

My experience there was fine, the billing was an absolute nightmare.To start off, I have insurance that should FULLY cover my cleaning visit.One calendar year passed after my visit when I received a bill in the mail for approximately $480. Aspen kept claiming my insurance was denying the claim. I would call my insurance who would say they never received a claim from Aspen.Come to find out my SSN was listed wrong on Aspens side. We fixed that, with me calling multiple times to ensure that it was fixed. They resubmitted to my insurance.At this point, Aspen also sent my bill to collections even though THEY were screwing up. I started to get multiple notifications from the collection agency. I would continue to call Aspen who said that it was their protocol, and that they were trying to get in contact with my insurance.I ended up calling my insurance who told me that Aspen needed to call them to fix a medical coding error and that it was not something I could fix. So I called Aspen who said they would add it to the list. After another month of back and forth, Aspen called me and told me they dropped the bill and I was all set.Aspen should1) make sure all patient info is correct2) make sure all medical coding is correct3) not make the PATIENT do the job of the billing department.What. A. Nightmare.

DENTURES ARE VERY EXPENSIVE !!! I HAVE NOT SHOPPED FOR THEM IN QUITE A WHILE. IF I CAN DO IT ON MY BUDGET I AM GOING TO GO FOR IT.

Everyone there from the business office and especially to the hygienist Victoria is wonderful. My daughter and I dont feel like just another patient when we go there, they remember details of our conversations from 6 months ago-who remembers that?! The work is great, honest, and detail oriented. Bravo ladies.

I really need to petition google to add a negative stars option.This is absolutely the most horrendous dental organization, (Im using the term organization politely) that I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They did so much damage when they did their so-called repairs. (When I had to get what was a successful root canal pulled less than 6 months later) $1,200 down the drain, then I had to pay to have their faulty work extracted. I could type at least 6 more paragraphs, equally or more expensive, describing incidents that all ended in failure. TONS of money lost.DO NOT GO TO STOREFRONT DENTIST SHOPS WHO HIRE PEOPLE THAT BARELY PASSED THEIR BOARDS.Please, do yourself a HUGE favor, and never ever go to aspen dental.My experiences spanned 4 different offices over 8 years. Once is chance, twice a coincidence, but 3, 4, 5+?Ill let you decide. Really, just dont waste your time.P.S., I have a professional, very talented dentist now, but Ive already sunk about 12K into fixing what aspen butchered, now Im having implants which will cost at least another 12-15K.Dont think twice, think 5 times, and then banish aspen dental from your memory

The dental hygienist was very friendly. This was the best experience Ive had going to the dentist.

First off I have anxiety about going to the dentist. I needed a tooth extraction and was terrified! Literally shaking! Within the same day I got a free exam and the tooth pulled. Everyone was so friendly and professional. Joslynn (I butchered spelling) was so awesome and real. The dentist made sure I was super numb and ready. Everything went smoothly I couldnt believe it wasnt as bad as I thought itd be. The worst part was the needle. Everyone was caring and kind. I highly recommend this place to anyone!

I called with some pretty severe pain and they were able to get me in the same day. After my exam the financial consultant Victoria fully explained all my options and we were able to address my issues in a way that fit my budget. And the lab did a great job repairing my partial denture. It is more comfortable now than when it was new.I will definitely recommend this office.
