First time dealing with a rental company. Therefore I cannot compare it with others, but so far. Not happy. Hoping things change.

If I could give this company a lesser rating, I would give them a -1,000,000 stars. None of my complaints are ever acknowledged, there is constant noise in my apartment. I’ve sentthe company multiple requests to address the noise, I’ve called the police twice, spoken with the property manager on site, and nothing seems to be getting through to them. This has happened at two out of the three apartments that I’ve rented thru this place. Oh, and don’t let the low deposit for you, it’s just so that they can charge their already high cleaning fees. They will also charge you for things that wear prematurely due to the shoddy excuse of contract work they employ. Renters beware.

They take away all the deposit eventhough you return the house cleaned I dusted off everything and I took a picture. I guess these people are even poor in math and they need to go back to school.Dont recommend this place at all.

If I can give 0 stars I would. This company isn’t responsive to emails, they don’t care about your concerns. The tenants are always loud at any time of the day or late night! They don’t care if you’re able to sleep or not. As a person who pays rent, you should be entitled to peace and quiet but you don’t get that here. They’re always have parties at the apartment complexes or playing loud music. Tenants have no respect for others. There’s a whole bunch of roaches at the apartments and even had a mouse problem at some point. They ruined a lot of my stuff and this place doesn’t care.

Even if you leave the apartment as new, they will never give back your security deposit, because the manager will steal your money for her, I lived in the cordary Ave in Hawthorne, the building is dirty with dog urine for all sides, It has no security, and there is still the rumor that the managers husband steals his correspondence. Do not trust them, they are dishonest.

The worst management and landlord Ive ever dealt with. The landlord doesnt fix anything in the building. I submitted multiple inquiries about fixing toilet, locks in windows, front door. He never called anyone to fix it.. nobody never came. Jimmy landlord and his wife Stephanie are just lazy landlords they just care about their free rent thats why they are overweight and nobody in the building likes them. Theres roaches in the building and not enough parking for everyone. The washing machines are always broken need to be repaired and homeless people living in there. Again the landlord only says i will contact to get it fixed.The worst apartment building ever.. if i were u i would not rent here...🤮

It has been 3 months and I have not received an itemized invoice for my deposit check nor the prorated rent I am owed. No response from Yessenia after several voicemails and emails. I will unfortunately have to take them to small claims court. Such a hassle. I do not recommend.

I cant even begin to fathom why it took me so long to write a review about the negative experience Ive had with this company, the managers, and the supervisor. The unit I rented for almost a year was one of the worst, the place was infested with roaches, leaks, and mold. Some of my clothes and furniture had to be thrown away because of the mold that was in this place. And worst of all I had a baby who kept getting sick while I was living here...Kept telling manager to send maintenance for months and even wrote a request online the supervisor even came in to do an inspection and she lied about sending maintenance immediately. I wished I would have read all the reviews before even considering to rent a unit from this company. They really think people are vulnerable and wont stand up for themselves. Be warned! Please avoid renting from them. The managers and supervisor do not care about their tenants at all. They are money hungry and worst of all look out for themselves. After I moved out the manager refused to do a move out inspection, the last day of my lease and worst of all he said he would have to charge me an additional day if I wanted to come back the next day to do a move out inspection. Its been more than 21 days and Ive contacted the supervisor about my deposit, Ive left numerous emails and voicemail messages but no response. Best believe im not going to leave it as it is! The poor management and the conditions are by far the worst Ive ever experienced. The worst part is that tenants do not respect others as they smoke in front of the unit, play loud music, gather around like its a function, and ride their bikes and skateboards. Clearly the managers dont enforce any rules because they could care less as long no one bothers them in their own space. To conclude this I would just like to add that this company and managers lack professionalism. Again, avoid renting from this company at all costs!

Worst Rental company I have ever dealt with. Avoid at all cost. They do not care about their customers, and their apartment is horrible.

The building was beautiful and always maintained and up-kept. Paying my rent was easy every month and no hassle at all. My property manager was pretty good in working with my work schedule when needing to pay rent since I was hardly home. I had covered parking and never had any problems with vandalism or any unfortunate events while living in my building. It was beautifully landscaped with modern appliances and beautiful granite counters.

Only stayed in a unit about 5 months. The managers didnt fix anything, lied about my move in date to collect prorated rent for a week I hadnt moved in yet. The roaches were the worse I have EVER lived with or seen. It was an 80 unit building managed by Yensenia, whom I never met until she posed a fake inspection after my many complaints. This lady wanted to force me to pay rent I lawfully didnt owe.The managers switched within the first 2 months of my stay, being replaced by someone even worse. I had to move to keep my sanity. Dont waste time or money with these unprofessional, unknowledgeable people.

I do not know why REC continually gets bad reviews; when I been residing at Arlington Avenue in Torrance for 5 years now and it is fantastic!! It has an inviting court yard and always very clean.Whenever I need repairs response is immediate and maintenance and office staff very friendly and willing to help with any issue.Yessenia who is the property supervisor is courteous, professional and goes the extra mile. (I would steal her for my own business if had the chance.) BEST EVER!!!I have recommend family member and they are also very happy with their units. I will continue using REC in the future and keep spreading great reviews!!!

Yessenia the supervisor is the most money hungry person I have ever seen in real estate. I was going to rent a place from her. The manager of the place kept texting/ harassing me to hire his staff for moving even though I had told him I already hired other people. I liked the place so I signed the contract online. Half an hour later the manager started texting me again for no reason. I felt uncomfortable and read the reviews. one was worse than the other. I called them 30 minutes after and told them I would like to cancel the contract. They said ok fine and wished me the best . Nobody told me there will be fees, nobody told me there will be consequences. They never sent me a copy of the contract, they never mailed me anything . after 2 months I got a call from a collection agency that they have charged me for the first month rent . They destroyed my very good credit and even I called 10 times, emailed 100 times, she never got back to me. she told her coworker that I never told them I do not want to cancel and I just never showed up which is not true. I hold a doctorate degree, I am a super responsible person. I am taking her to the court for all the charges and damages she caused to my credit score. DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH HER. I have heard crazy things about this agency .

This place was horrible bad customer service the ladies there were very very very unprofessional I did not want to have them one star but you had to put a star in order to make a comment. They are horrible with their late of 75 dollars for not paying rent on the 1st and 5 dollars every day that you don’t pay rent there are no grace periods with them they are liars they are hustlers con artist they get you for your money that’s for sure and there properties are trash no good keep ups, run down buildings need to be updated and modernized. The washers and dryers rarely worked at the building the manager really doesn’t do anything horrible place to rent from I never had an issue with any other places that I rented from and trust me they were way better than the building I was at but I moved here and had situations all the time don’t rent from this company

I have lived in one of the Torrance buildings for the last 10 years. Ive enjoyed living in the complex where the manager is always nice and friendly. It is easy to pay my rent online. When I have called the office, the female is always friendly and courteous and the supervisor Yessenia is very nice, helpful and professional. I have never had a problem getting my maintenance done,. If it doesnt get done the same day, it gets done within a couple of days.

Ive lived in my apartment for several years. Fortunately, Ive not had any real maintenance issues. Yessenia is the manager and makes sure that the tenants are very quiet and thats a big plus for me. She cares about whether or not the tenants are satisfied and if theyre not, she is willing to help resolve whatever issues they may have. All in all my experience with Real Estate Connection has been very good.

I rented a unit in Torrance for my student daughter and her son in 2017. We had issues with many things throughout the course of the six month tenancy. However, after meeting with Yessenia and conferring about these issues, she was very professional and sympathetic. She promptly addressed all of our concerns and problems were solved.

I live in an apartment complex down Arlington thats owned by REC. Ive been here for over a year and a half and I think things are great here. The location is nearby several restaurants and shops, the neighbors are friendly, and its a quiet atmosphere. In the rare occasion a maintenance issue has come up, Yessenias always quick to respond and help us out.

I am a current resident of theirs for over 2 years now. My best friend just moved into my complex about 6 months ago. I have a few mechanical issues like my AC not working and a few electrical issues but every time I called and spoke with a girl named Mallory who was so sweet and nice answered some simple questions for me and transferred me to my property manager Fernando which got all of my issues resolved. Ive had issues with my onsite manager previously and I informed the office and personally took care of my problems. I dont know what all these negative reviews are for, yes sometimes people have bad days, but I think overall this is a good property management company and I am completely happy living in their properties.

This is the worst company ever. I worn you do not rent from them. I move into the apartment and the things that were suppose to be fixed before I moved in were not and a plethora of other things that you would only know that needed to be fixed once you moved in. I had no hot water, the toilet was not bolted to the ground. The apartment was not cleaned, the dishwasher did not work, I was without a tub for 20 days, There were roaches, the window rattled there is no instillation, the door did not have instillation either. I can go on and on. Please note I have only lived here a month and 3 weeks at this point. And top of all this the on property manager is rude, lazy and condescending. They have mickey moused things so bad that they no longer can be mickey moused. If you have any other choice to live somewhere else I implore that you do. The unit I moved into was totally un-inhabitable and the funny thing is there were people who moved -in right before me and did the smart thing and turned around and moved out the next day. Management did not bother to tell me this. The neighbors did.

Nastiest company on earth. Places are full of roaches and makes me wonder how managemt keeps their own homes. Based upon their properties Id say they must be disgusting too. Do not rent from them. They lie so well that you will almost feel like you made up the fact that roaches and rodents run around their trashed properties. Youve been warned!!!

Current resident of almost 10 years!! Never received a rent receipt! Repairs never get done or get done correctly. Ive had a clogged dishwasher for months with an odor. Vermin on sundecks go unchecked and there is now vermin feces on neigbors decks so the issue is escalating. Running toilet for 3 years never was fixed correctly. NO CALL BACKS ever! I have been trying to get someone to call me back and address my issues and never get a response.Mailman decided to not empty outgoing mailbox so one month my rent was late I now get a $200. bill EVERY month in late fees since I refuse to pay for the late fee. I told management about the postman failing to do his job. AGAIN, nobody ever responded or called me regarding this issue. Rental increases are highest Ive ever experienced. Grounds of the building are always littered with cigarettes and filth. I feel they do not follow tenant/landlord laws. I decided to put in a 30 day notice since I rent from a company that is happy to take my rent check but unwilling to do anything else. Very frustrating and stressful I hope to find a new residence soon.

Money hungry crooks with raggedy buildings they dont keep up with maintanence at all. I stayed in one of their properties one year and couldnt wait until my lease was up to move! Stay away unless you have time to stress and money to waste.

My experience with Yessenia has been a nightmare I have been a tenant for less than one year I have encountered so many inconveniences from appliances (my stove)not working for 11months to coming home from work and there is no hot water due to parts being broken from the lack of upkeep of the building causing me to rent a room for the days I had to live in my unit because of the inconvenience to my apartment flooding due to the roof being clogged and back up drain not allowing the water from the rain to drain properly. The roof was fixed the same day but my apartment had not been properly repaired for two weeks. I have encountered ants in my unit coming from the unit due to the heat and YESSENIA INSULTED ME STATING THAT ITS THE UPKEEP OF MY APARTMENT UNIT THAT CAUSED TE ANTS WHEN CLEARLY THE MAINTENANCE MAN HIMSELF STATED MY UNIT IS CLEAN AND IT IS BECAUSE OF THE HEAT. The window sill clearly shows evident if the flies and ants that are making there way into my unit due to the lack of upkeep from the building. I work two jobs 6 days a week and I have a maid that comes to dust my apartment due to me not being home for 3-4 days out of the week because of my work AND YESSENIA HAS THE NERVE TO TELL ME MY UPKEEP OF MY APARTMENT IS THE REASON WHY I AM ENCOUNTERING SUCH INSECTS. I refuse to be insulted and I pay my rent in full every month with no problem. Yessenia is RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL AND IS NOT DESERVING OF THE POSTION SHE MAINTAINS. It’s against the law to rent out units that are not in proper living conditions and blame the tenant for the inconvenience that it has caused the tenant. Clearly each building is ran differently and as she (Yessenia) states due to the building being old these are problems that we will encounter I DISAGREE THE AGE OF A BUILDING HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE LACK Of UPKEEP ON THE BUILDING. The property manager ROSY IS THE NIGHT AND SHINNING ARMOR.

This is an unprofessional and money hungry woman who came into a community and cause distress in many families lives. Only the devil would raise rent up from $400 - $600 without inspections and drive people in homeless and evictions. I hope you can sleep and night being so evil and wicked !!!!!

My experience with Yessenia was pretty good. She is a pleasant young woman who accommodated me upon my initial move in and when I needed repairs or other things attended to, she did her best to follow through in a timely manner. So the company was able to meet my overall needs most of the time. The apartment itself was beautiful but the location (right on PCH ) was far too noisy. Double pain windows just dont block out the traffic noise enough. I do think the rent is a little high for the location (noise-wise). We were only there for about 20 months. They will charge for painting upon move out so be prepared. I will add that the companys online portal for automatic rent payment was very convenient and I had no issues with it at all.

Not so much the company but the on site manager (Fernando) at the location 606 bay view ave. Hes terrible! He constantly harasses the tenants, he doesnt know how to approach people hes very rude, he will watch you in the cameras take pictures of your children when they are playing outside, my children are terrified of this man, he makes it a very uncomfortable place to live in, I will be leaving very soon!! DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS LOCATION YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

Do NOT rent from these people. They will keep all your deposit for no reason when you move out. They hire illegal immigrants to fix everything half ass. The buildings are Infested with roaches. Im warning you DO NOT RENT!!!!

Just horrible dont move here at all. They do not help with any problems with your apartment. I left several messages and put in several maintenance reports I also sent the front lady a email when she told me to address the issue but no response. If you move here you will regret it.

I had a great experience with this company during my 1-year lease, and I only ended up moving do to personal reasons. While apartment searching a little more than a year ago, I came across a property managed by this company and decided to contact them. The operator that answered the phone was very helpful and informed me that they did not have any vacancies in that property, but suggested a few others close by and connected me with a property manager by the name of Yessenia. Yessenia was very professional and polite, and she helped me find the perfect apartment. I had about 3-4 maintenance issues while I lived in this apartment, and only the first one took a little longer to get resolved because I submitted it into their online portal. After that initial one, I contacted Yessenia directly and the issues were resolved quickly. Rent was very easy to setup and pay monthly through their online portal. I was charged for general cleaning and carpet cleaning when I left the apartment, but I think that is pretty standard for most companies. I will definitely reach out to Yessenia if I am apartment searching in this area in the future.

The management of the building super nicely my husband and me where very satisfied excellent people I wish every body could have this experience we love mr miguel and mrs marina very compassionate peoples we aré going to missed them thank you guys excellent job the best

Nobody has gotten back to me at all and it has been a year the plumber said that there is a Tree that needs to be pulled out in the front complex that is causing that to happen so the plumbers said this problem is going to continue to happen until they fix that and they have never fix that tree it is still there. The sink water stinks it comes out brown. It looks like theres termites that are eating the front of my Doral around my door .my garbage disposal has multiple problems they always say its another problem and never fixs the right problem instead of just putting a new one in its place.I think theres mold growing on the out side of the garage walls it smells bad and looks like a brownish black color on the wall.This is very cheap and disgusting place.Ive got roaches about six times now it took me about eight months for them to come out and fix this problem its very dirty The washing-machines and dryers do not work well it takes all your money, washing-machine is very old they always have water in the washing=machine when I first moved there someone was breaking into the mailboxes which is crazy.very dirty on the complex they even raised our rents knowing how bad the conditions of whats going on at this complex it was totally ridiculous as soon as I get enough money I will be vacating this building I dont even know if its healthy for us to be liven in this place!! Thats how bad it is.

Nice facility, but ventilation and A/C not consistent

This is the WORST and uncaring company and Fernando the supervisor is a two faced he pretends like he doesnt know whats going on in this building when we call him and he does! I mean really why have a Manager on site who does not do her job and only is willing to collect rent on the 1st ONLY and slam doors in tenants faces telling them she is not accepting there rent when Fernando has stated we have until the 3rd to pay it. Oh and our kids are not allowed to play outside or even stand outside there door of there Apt because the manager threatens the kids by telling them she is going to kick there parents out of the building, oh and when you pay your rent she doesnt like giving rent receipts when she is suppose to. The manager also turns on the outside lights when she feels like, if she sees the kids out she wont turn them on which is dangerous for the tenants you cant see when your walking down the stairs or someone could be hiding out in the parking lot, nothing is ever fixed here there are Roaches, Spiders, Pincher bugs, Rats, Mice, even worms coming up from the floor, no heat, everything is mickey mouse, it just been a nightmare for many people with break ins on cars or, car crashes, cars getting stole rite from the parking lot, they never did a walk thru on my Apt and there were several things wrong . DONT RENT WITH THIS CO PLEASE

Worst property management company, roach infested building (13707 doty ) hires illegal immigrants to run the building and also do NOT follow tenant landlord laws . Building full of trash and weed smokers and illegal activity the noise level is ridiculous walls are very thin you can hear people in the next apartment, fights ALWAYS break out . Rosa (property manager) speaks broken English and may not even be a US citizen acts like she cant understand ... Cracks in the buildings foundation pipes busted under the ground just a very tacky place to live I had to break my lease and move out . I got in touch with someone who lived in my unit before I did and she had bed bugs and roaches . I had a big roach infestation in my bed bathroom kitchen drawers had to throw all of my furniture out, I called out the health dept and building inspector do not move or rent from this company you will be sorry .
