So far I’ve had x-rays for free with a quote. Then I had a tooth removed and bone grafting done. They made me a flipper tooth so I can use until I get my implant. Just today Jenny gave me a deep cleaning and she had me laughing prior to the process. Made me feel comfortable. So far I have great nothing but good things to say about their services and prices. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 ⭐️‘s is because the place looks a little dirty and can definitely use some work. It looks likes it was under construction and just stopped and is incomplete. I will definitely go back. Can’t beep the prices.

Ive had severe anxiety my entire life when it comes to going to the dentist and Im so grateful to have found Dr. Sutherland and Digital Smiles in Torrance. Ive had many cleanings here and theyve all been great. Dr. Sutherlands had to do a couple fillings and a root canal on me, all super anxiety inducing. Dr. Sutherland is super calm and knows what hes doing, which puts me at ease. I just had to have a tooth extracted and the oral surgeon was excellent. Im very happy with Digital Smiles of Torrance and will not be going anywhere else!

I finally followed thru and went to a free consultation and Im so pleased I did. Digital Smiles was a pleasant experience which provided a free service just as advertised. They did not try to oversell or pass on to me outrageous prices for services i needed, and treated me as if I was a paying customer giving me their full attention during my 45 minute consultation. The visit provided me a current status of my teeth and then what needed to be done to achieve my desired outcome in easy to understand language. I have had many procedures from teeth cleaning to crowns and an implant. The staff is very courteous and go out of their way to make you feel at ease. Dr. Sutherland always takes the time to explain the procedure. A highly professional and well managed office. Never had pain with any procedures. Highly recommend this dental group.

Ill start off by saying I have been given the run-around from another dentist in El Segundo for the past two months. I came to this office from another experience with a dentist who talked the talk, but didnt walk the walk like Digital Smiles of Torrance did. I called and spoke to Pearl on Tuesday morning and was able to get in to an appointment the same day at 9AM. Dr. Matt Darbro gave me all of the information I needed to make a decision about whether or not to proceed with my root canal and got all of the information for a crown. We proceeded with the operation which was done with precision and expertise. After the root canal was performed, the crown was printed right there in the office-- once the procedure to prep the tooth for the crown fitting was complete, it was about 30 minutes to print the crown and another 5 minutes to place it. I was thoroughly impressed with my experience here, and will opt to get my regular dental examination and cleaning here in the future, as they are the best dentist I have been to in the South Bay (4 over the past 2 years). I didnt expect to have my issue fixed so quickly (which may have been lucky due to an appointment being available), but after making my call in the morning, I had a brand new tooth manufactured and placed in my mouth before noon. Would highly recommend to others.

This review is coming from the wife of a former employee at this office. I cant tell you how many times my husband came home frustrated with how Dr. Sutherland was treating him along with the other staff. The staff here are treated very poorly and are belittled constantly. You cant even go talk to The HR department because the person in HR is the doctors very own brother Scott. Im sorry to have to write this but the doctor put my husband through hell and its not right. My husband ended up quitting because he was humiliated in front of the whole staff during a morning meeting. We are trying to figure out what we can do to file a complaint with this company because like I said, HR (his brother) wont do anything. Do better, treat your staff right and tell Dr. Sutherland he needs anger management classes. Check this business on yelp for real reviews. Youre welcome.

Dr. Sutherland is not a good Dentist I saw Dr. Sutherland over seven or eight years ago came back today which is June 17 to get some updates on my mouth he sent me to the teeth cleaning what kind of bull cracker is that so I’m leaving now Dr. Sutherland bad experience to begain with. he has no information or nothing whatsoever about dentistry and he’s considered incompetent about his work not very smart there’s too many Denisty out here that we can do information on back up work do not yell here.

They changed their name from Torrance Dental Arts; but it is the same place. Dr. Sutherland recommend I have work done on a tooth. his administrative person quoted me a price of over a thousand dollars which she indicated dental insurance would not pay for it.I went to another dentist for a second opinion and found out the tooth was okay and did not need any work done on it at all. They appear to be over charging their patients on everything. Make sure you get a second opinion first and find out the cost. You will be surprised how much Digital Smiles - Torrance is charging their patients for dental work not needed.

No stars would fit this so called establishment. A big RIP off. They do all sorts of stuff to your teeth whether necessary or not. If its money they want you as their patient. We havent been here in years but were taken for a lot of our hard earned money. I cant believe all the positive reviews. Maybe people dont really check out the fees and do comparison shopping. You need to get the big picture here and evaluate the costs. They arent the normal. I guess the South Bay is richer than I ever imagined. People here can actually afford the fees that they charge. Such a shame really.

Came in with a dental emergency: a very painful absses of my wisdom tooth.They took really good care of me and followed up the next day over the phone just to make sure I was okay. Their facilities were state of the art and everyone I dealt with was extremely gracious and professional.

The staff first of all were so friendly and very thorough in explaining everything to me. Then I had a consultation with Dr. Sutherland and really made me comfortable and confident that they are very good with what they do. I have a feeling Im going to have a nice experience on my dental work with them.

I came in today to get a run of the mill cleaning and the the hygienist named Vision told me I needed a better cleaning. Ive been really concerned about my teeth and gums for various reason and she was very honest and helpful for how I should go about my situation from this point on. Most people get you in and out she made me feel like I was in trusted hands and heart. I will see just her for my cleanings from now on. I cant stress how she went the extra mile to make sure I got optimal care.

My new crowns fit great. And in one day, too. I appreciated the oral cancer screening Sue gave me before cleaning my teeth. Additionally, I was impressed by the care she took because of my sensitive teeth. Great cleaning!

My hygienist Vision does a terrific job! She faithfully does the cancer screens, pocket measurements, scaling, polishing, etc., etc., and is very gentle. She also recognizes problems and immediately tells you to go to the dentist (Dr. Sutherland) for further treatment or recommends an additional type of cleaning treatment. I highly recommend her.

I was very impressed with the friendly professional service. From the receptionist to the dental tech to the financial consultant. Dr Sutherland was so kind and positive he really made me feel safe and comfortable. I drove 1 1/2 hours to get there it was well worth it. I highly recommend TDA!

Had a cleaning today with Carla. She was awesome. Very personable, outgoing & made me feel very comfortable!! She is definitely an asset to their team!!The reason I didnt give five stars is because their was no receptionist when I needed to make an appt for my daughters & I waited almost thirty minutes to get X-rays, I finally had to leave.

This is the worst dental office. There are only a few decent employees here. My father is 85 and a very sweet man. They have been extremely rude to him. Especially Hanna. Unfortunately we had to stay with then until he got his permanent dentures. His last visit was the end. They made him wait for 1 hour for a 15 minute procedure. During that procedure Manny dropped the tool on the ground he picked it up and was going to use it again. Our caregiver stopped him. He did other disgusting things. He didnt complete the job he just left. My dad had to go find someone. They said they couldnt finish the job. So his next appt was a month away. Needless to say were done. They are horrible!!

This service is second-to-none, and it is sincerely appreciated. My thanks to their team, with special thanks to Hana and Gary for their beautiful job on the replacement. And thanks as well for the artistic modifications that were made. Im very pleased with the results. Ive always been happy to recommend them this office to others, and I will continue to do so.

I havent had the best experiences with dental treatment over time. For sure, Ive meet a few shoddy dentists. Ive meet many others who either didnt really care for their patients or were just in a hurry to get the patient in and out of the chair as quickly as possible. After many horrid dental care experiences, I know that Ill never have another callous tooth butcher look into my mouth again.Put simply, I wont go anywhere else. The only dental office I will go to is Torrance Dental Arts. This is a top notch establishment.Dr. Sutherland is a very attentive dentist who has mastered the modern, cutting edge techniques in dental procedures. The work that he did for me was not within my expectation, rather it greatly exceeded any expectations I could have had. I greatly appreciate his chair side manner, which is very polished and presentable. He is busy, this is for sure. He is too good not to be busy. But while he is there, working on what ever dental issue you may have, he is there 100%.Further, Vision is absolutely the best hygienist that I have ever had (and Ive known many). All of the hygienists there are good, but Vision stands head and shoulders above all other hygienists Ive known. She may not give you good news, she may tell you things that you dont want to hear... yes you need to floss more etc., but she is honest and very very thorough. She wont miss any looming issues that you may have. I do not second guess her assessment of my overall dental health.About the only issue that you will have with Torrance Dental Arts is scheduling conflicts due to the shear volume of business that this place does. So, schedule well in advance, dont flake and they will take great care of your needs.

Ive been going to Torrance Dental Arts for years now and they are like family to me. They are thorough, willing to help me with the finances and great to work with. There are many fine hygeneists there but I stay with Vision! She does a great job and really gets to know her patients. Dr. Sutherland is second to none! If you care about your teeth and how they look, you wont find a better dental office...from the front desk to the dentist chair they are TOP rate...and Ive been to a LOT of them before settling with them. If youre afraid of the dentist, this is the one to see! Dr. Sutherland is calming from his first hello and really cares that you are comfortable throughout any procedure he performs. I had that issue before...now I sit in his chair with confidence! At least give them a try...they are definitely honest and fair and will come up with a treatment plan for you that you can live with! They are eager to build a longterm relationship with you, so you will find that evident in the whole staff!

Vision did my cleanings and she was wonderful. Nothing she did hurt, and she was very gently. I would highly recommend.

I have to agree with John. I had the same situation 10/25/10. I went in for teeth cleaning. I was informed by the lady who bills the insurance that the cost for my entire visit if I decided to proceed would be around $9000. I looked at her and told her that I just needed to get my teeth cleaned as I did before I moved to CA.I felt violated. I will never go there again. They are a rip off.

My hygienist was extremely patient and through. Very good on numbing my mouth. Shes so gentle I almost fell asleep twice while she was lasering my gums.

This place is all about the money not the dental health of the patients 8000 dollars for two implants 7 times the price of other dentists an they never even tried to check my insurance, until I recommended it. what type of place is this, it felt like it was not for the average hard working person Im going to find me a nice family dentist that cares

I had an appointment to see Dr Sutherland for dental exam. & evaluation to implant missing teeth 7,13,15.I arrived& Dr. Sutherland & no other dentist was in the office. Only 2 staff were in the office. The receptionist & an assistant named Manny. Manny examined my mouth, took intraoral photos & a scan. Manny asked me to come the following week for Dr Sutherland to discuss the treatment plan. 03/16/17, I arrived at 2:00pm for my 2:30pm appointment with Dr Sutherland. At 3:30pm, the office manager took me to her office, handed me an estimate of over $13000 to extract my very loose #7 tooth(ready to fall by itself), placing 3 implants, bone augmentation & 3 crowns. I told her I was expecting to meet Dr Sutherland for dental exam & to discuss the treatment plan & my options. She said, I am sorry the Doctor just left.It is illegal for dental assistant to provide dental work without a licensed dentist on premises. The California dental practice act mandate dentist familiarity with the patients dental & medical condition prior to ordering any diagnostic test including x-rays & scans where patient are exposed to radiation. The dental board require the dentist to examine, determine the need, formulate the treatment plan, advise the patient of the options & finally provide estimate of the treatment cost. This practice care only about the MONEY🐊🐊🐊

I have had 4 negative experiences with this office and am now switching my insurance! I waited over an hour before I had to ask the receptionist when my daughter would be seen! (I was actually surprised there was a receptionist this time) Finally Manny hurried out and tried to take my young daughter back without me. During the photographers he took of my daughters teeth, I had to ask about two other possible cavities and was told wed give it a pass WHAT!?! She has had a filling in the past (with a different office) but Manny was so eager to just send us to a specialist. I knew she had a cavity hence the appointment and some other issues that I wanted to discuss with the dentist and I got, Hes going to tell you the same thing. At that point, I was so annoyed and frustrated to opted for the referral (to an office I found out doesnt even take our insurance).
