My son has never been as happy about a haircut as he was today! Seth did an amazing job making him feel comfortable, and taking the time to make sure he got exactly what he wanted. If we are ever back in the area we will DEFINITELY be returning.

My 17 year old son got a haircut today. He needed some advice for styling it and upkeep. We had an appointment and got a hello from everyone there right as we walked in. It kinda felt like the warm reception Norm got everyday at Cheers. I liked it. The inside has a cool fun throwback vibe. We waited less than 5 minutes. He received not only a great cut but awesome customer service and just general kindness and encouragement for life. I really appreciated that as a mom. Little do they know I have 4 more boys at home, and they just got themselves some lifelong customers. Special shout out to Kali the Barbershop Dog, she knows how to make you feel at ease. We will be back!

I moved to Tooele back in August and after trying out a different barber shop (that I didnt like) I decided to go to Black Cat Barber.This barber shop is great! The moment you walk in they ask if youd like a drink while you wait. The haircut was fantastic, Seth did a great job and kept asking questions to make sure he cut it exactly how I wanted. At other places it all feels so rushed, not here!While getting my haircut I noticed every barber would open the door for their client as they walked out. Everyone here is super friendly. Their offer of a drink if you have to wait is a nice touch and the store has a relaxed setting. Great place to go if you arent exactly sure whats best for your look. Prices may seem a little high if yoy are used to going to some of the other salons in tooele, but the experience this crew brings to the table is well worth paying extra for.

These guys are fun, energetic, great at what they do, and never make it awkward (as we know haircuts can be). I have always just buzzed my hair after growing it out but I wanted a change. I showed up with a 70s looking throwback Afro (no joke 😂) and had no idea what I wanted to do with it, within 3 minutes Linzie knew exactly what way she wanted to go with it, and made perfectly sure that I was also on board with it as she explained in detail what it would look like. I have to say I am thoroughly impressed, and I will be going back again. Linzie was great and I fully recommend anyone use this establishment. Thank you again, Linzie and the Black Cat crew! Daniel is just finishing up his apprenticeship at Black Cat, he cut my hair today and it was phenomenal. The amount of time and effort he put into making sure I was absolutely thrilled with my hair and beard was above and beyond what Id expect from any barber. Its my 4th or 5th time going to Black Cat, and every experience has been exceptional. Im happy to say Daniel is a great addition to the team and Im excited to get my hair cut by him again soon.

They are good at cutting hair the way they want but didnt seem to be able to cut my hair the way I wanted. If youre young and want a hipster haircut youll love this place. Me? Not in a confrontational way but in a manner that said, Were better than this and I want to make it right with you. That prompts me to up my rating from 3 to to 4 stars. These guys are the best! I came here about 6 months ago and I wont go anywhere else. The prices are a little steep at $25-$35 per cut. But they use all the latest and greatest powders and techniques. Best straight razor fade Ive ever had. Super comfortable speak easy environment too. Very classy establishment

As soon as I walked in I was greeted by attentive staff, checked in for a reservation, and squared away. For the cut, I was able to easily verbalize my wishes and receive the cut I was looking for which was a crew cut with a hard part and high fade, a haircut that from past experience hasn’t always been understood or well executed at hair salons. I enjoyed the banter which included four of us, myself my barber, and the gentleman next to me and his. The environment is laid back reflecting the personality of the proprietors, the facility is clean, with good music. The decor compliments the joint and there is a personalized wall mural. The prices are competitively fair, and to finish it all off, I received polite gratitude. Seriously you can’t beat that. The shop is stocked with styling products like pomade which I do use so if I run out I know I can resupply there. I liked my cut, my barber was skilled, quick, fastidious about keeping my face relatively free of hair during the cut, and at the end I got a nice hot towel and straight blade cut to square of and clean the finishes: replete with airing, spritz, and styled hair to boot. To paraphrase my wifes feedback, oh wow he did a good job, you have a round face when youre fat and he made you look more square and thin...Ya dont go anywhere else you look good. Thanks for the haircut mate and the hospitality, Ill definitely be back to your establishment again for sure. Cheers.

My name is Emily not Eli google won’t let me change it. 👆🏼I have loved black cat since we moved back here 6 months ago. But this last time I was definitely disappointed (to say the least) that the girl who cut my son & husbands hair hardly faded it & butchered all my sons hair off. I have taken my sons to different salons over the years & found that Male Barbershops are what works best. It’s why I decided to spend $30 a haircut instead of $10-$15 somewhere else. But if there are no longer male barbers that are available at Black Cat then I think I will look for somewhere else to go. They have all done great every other time we went.

This was my second visit, first time I got a fade and beard trim and Kennedy was my barber. She was fantastic as a barber and awesome to talk to. Second visit I also got a fade and got my beard shaped by Kevin. He was amazing as well. I am not from Utah originally and its hard to find good barbers, but this place is better than good. Outstanding skills and conversation. Felt like an awesome experience. The prices are perfect too. Great atmosphere, great people and overall the best experience that I could possibly have had. Dillon cut my hair the first time and did an excellent job. Today I had Kevin cut my hair and he also did a really great job. Both of these guys know what theyre doing. Dont expect an in-and-out quick haircut. These guys take their time and wont let you leave until theyve exceeded your expectations. The prices are more than fair and is well worth it. Ill keep going back.

I noticed Black Cat Barber Shop when my kids and I were getting snow cones. We thought we’d see what the wait time was, and Kevin had time to fit us right in. He was so friendly and professional. He made us feel comfortable, and was really easy to talk with. By the end of the haircut we felt like we were family. He did a phenomenal job with my sons hair!My husband got his haircut shortly after. He’s a very particular man, and usually comes home and hunts for little hairs. He hasn’t found one hair! Kevin did such a great job! We’ll be having him cut our family’s hair for many, many years to come!
