I will give it 5 stars for my last two visits. My husband referred me to them because of his wonderful experience and after going to another place I thought I would try them. Sure enough he was in point! Clean, courteous, efficient, professional and friendly. I also left my favorite coffee mug there and they saved it for me for a month!

First I have to say that I HATE dental work. I have SEVERE anxiety!!!! I came to Hires after years of not being to a dentist.... I knew I would need an extraction due to my tooth already being half filling/half tooth from forever ago and the fact that the filling was severely broken down and I had immense pain. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted very warmly and professionally! I waited maybe 2 minutes before being called back to get started with xrays, then the extraction. Every person I met was amazing, from the girls at the front desk, to the dental assistant (Ana), right down to the dentist (Dr Ed)! They were extremely patient and reassuring for this big baby! 🤣 Dr.Ed took all the time it required for me to be comfortable. I WILL be back here for my regular dental needs. Im no longer afraid due to the great folks here at Hires! Thank you all so much for a great experience!!!

When I was looking for a family dentist, I wasnt sure where to go, especially due to the fact we had just moved to Toledo from another state without any referrals. However for the past four years, Hires Dental Care has treated my family like family, and my children absolutely love coming to the dentist. The care we receive is exceptional, and the staff is amazing!

All the doctors are so nice and very gentle. I have really bad TMJ issues and they know just what to do so I’m not experiencing any discomfort during my cleanings or procedures. The girls at the front desk are super nice and knowledgeable.

Today I finally had a tooth pulled after my girls said it could be a health issue. I have a fear of going to the dentist. The kindness started as I was greeted coming it.I was called back with no wait.The person setting up the room was very kind.Then I met Dr.Ed, what a experience!He asked if I had any question numerous times.Explain the whole procedure fully.I highly recommend Dr. Ed, and Hires Dental!experience.

Went in for a root canal in January prepped everything for the root canal. They decided last minute to do a build up instead. Well my build up was not done properly and now I have an infection. 4 months later. After going in and having more more insurance money for the year ( after my suppose to be root canal) I now have to have that tooth extracted or a root canal. They messed up and didn’t say anything about fixing it just me paying out of pocket. Had to also call twice the next day to get a antibiotic for my infection. Never have I ever had this happen and when they told me they made the mistake never ask to fix their mess. Currently waiting on my grievance form I sent to my insurance company. I don’t recommend this company anymore.

I love Hires Dental Care for many reasons, but mostly for the expertise of Dr. Hires, and his caring staff. Dr. Hires knows his stuff and he makes you feel relaxed during any procedure. Dr. Hires also does not settle for I can live with that, he wants complete satisfaction from his patients before they get up from the chair! I loved that from him! His staff are sweet, respectful, caring and knowledge! From the moment you enter Hires Dental Care, you are treated with kindness and respect. My only concern is Dr. Hires will retire one day, and I will miss him terribly!

My exam and cleaning were excellent. Hires uses the latest technology for imaging, which made me feel very confident that I was getting the best exam. My cleaning was thorough, and my hygienist paid attention to sensitive areas while cleaning, which meant I didnt experience the usual discomfort of past cleanings at other dental offices.

I hate that I have to write this review but it’s my truth. I’ve been going to this dentist office for YEARS. I’ve done a commercial and a billboard for them in the past. I used to be their biggest cheerleader and would recommend everyone to go there. I’ve recently moved back to Toledo and I cannot say that my experience and thoughts have remained the same. After my upcoming procedure is completed, I will be leaving a very DETAILED review. There are several issues that I have but I will leave only one for now. I was getting married and had a permanent bridge that needed replacing. I informed them of this. It was a process because I had to get a root canal and then a temporary bridge was placed in my mouth. By this time, my wedding was getting closer. As they were preparing for the permanent bridge to be placed, I was told that after my coverage, I would have to pay over 2000 out of pocket. I asked if I could make payments and they said no and my only other option is to apply for a loan (through a cosmetic loan provider that I know for a fact and personally is not the best route to take). I was also informed that I REALLY needed to get the permanent bridge soon because I didn’t want the “tissue or something of that nature..I’m not quite sure) to grow back and then run the risk of needing another procedure. My wedding was VERY costly and I didn’t have the money to cover the permanent bridge. However, I had no choice but to take money out of my retirement plan and that was how I paid for it. The permanent bridge STILL couldn’t be done. They said it was because I wasn’t fully healed! AFTER I TOOK MONEY OUT OF MY RETIREMENT. I kept telling them how important my wedding is to me and I need to make sure that my smile is presentable. They placed a temporary on and assured me that it would be good for the wedding. Now my wedding is here and I’m schedule to fly out on Monday and today is Thursday night. I called them early Friday morning. Their voicemail said that they were out for training all day so I left a message. I informed them that my temporary CAME OUT and I’m scheduled to fly out Monday for my wedding. I asked someone to call me and NOONE CALLED AT ALL. I called Friday afternoon and left another message and nothing! I left another message on Saturday and asked someone to at least tell me what to do and how important my wedding is. Mind you, I tried store products and they didn’t work. Still NOONE called me back. I didn’t hear from them until someone called me to confirm my next appointment. I had to attend my wedding by placing the bridge in there myself with no adhesive and pray that it wouldn’t fall out!!! I was LIVID!! At my following appointment NOONE addressed my message. I brought it up but no sincere apology was given except by a dental assistant. I cannot keep going to this office. There are several other issues that I WILL bring to light after my next appointment because, I STILL HAVEN’T gotten the permanent on yet!!! I’m writing this now because my other temporary came out AGAIN AND I CAN’T ENJOY EATING AT ALL. And I don’t care if NOONE there speaks to me at my next appointment. When they waste YOUR time and money, then I MIGHT care (not really). Thanks Hires Dental!

So I am terrified of the dentist. I have had horrible experiences in the past with numbing medicating and laughing gas. I seen Dr. Kelsey today and she was great!! She listened to all my fears came up with a plan and my visit went seamlessly. Finally found a dentist I’m not afraid of and who listened to my history and really seamed to care about how I felt. I already made my next appointment. Yay me! ( it’s actually a huge step for me) Definitely going to tell everyone I know about how great she is.

Dr. Handa is amazing! I have never had a dentist take the time that she does to ensure that youre getting the best care possible. All staff that I have encountered are top notch!

The drs work on multiple patients at a time so be prepared to sit in that char for a long time between rounds of work being done.

Most people are scared to go to the dentist, but I tell you what Hires dental care is awesome. The entire staff is friendly. My last visit I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep in the chair while getting my tooth worked on. They get a big A+ in my book.

Hires Dental was one place my husband and I kept seeing great reviews about while searching for a new dentist. When we made a call to inquire with them we felt so comfortable, even a little excited about their practice and level of professionalism, that we scheduled an appointment with that phone call.My appointment was first. From the moment when I was greeted through the door to when I sat in the chair I felt so comfortable and at ease. The whole staff have wonderful personalities. The dentist we saw went into such great detail and explained as she spoke and answered any questions! We are so grateful we went with Hires!

First dentist I saw wanted to do nothing but up sell me on everything. I explained, more than once that I had no insurance. Very annoying, had to request not to have her again. Dr Hires was very pleasant and professional. Good staff until my last visit. I had an appointment to fix a broken tooth, during the virus craziness. They rescheduled me due to the fact that I was switching jobs moving out of state and not able to have insurance. I arrived at my rescheduled appointment, waited for 15 min, then refused to service me because I wasnt in pain. When I asked why I wasnt told this 24hrs prior during my conversation nor called the morning of, I got a shoulder shrug and sorry. Thanks for wasting my lunch hour, lying to me the day before, and then making me wait for 15min before telling me! Awful customer service!!

First time patient. Service was spectacular. Receptionists’ were nice, friendly, and extraordinarily helpful with the help of all the new paperwork. Jenny worked on my teeth and did a spectacular job at a very efficient rate. Would highly recommend when looking for a new office. Head and shoulders above my previous dental offices.

Hires Dental Care is amazing! The drive for me is a little ways, but its worth it just because of how friendly the staff is and the service you receive. My hygienist is Jenny and I love her! Nobody likes going to the dentist.. but they make it easy. If youre trying to find a dentist- you wont be disappointed with Hires.Also, another perk is that they have late hours for people working till 5 or later.

I went to fix a loose crown which I had for 15 years. One week later the crown is loose. I felt I am being forced to had a new crown. The Dentist office spoke with me and resolved the matter in a very acceptable way. I really appreciate there concern for their patient. Thank you.

My wife Jennifer has been a patient at Hires Dental for several years now and shortly after we married, she suggested I give them a try because of how satisfied shes been over the years.Im really glad I took her advice! Everyone Ive had the pleasure of interacting with at Hires from the office staff to the doctors themselves has been wonderful.Ive been dealing with vertigo for the last 15 years or so and it gives me a lot of problems if I have to lay on my back with my head lower than the rest of my body. During my last visit for a crown, I began to get the dreaded spinning and nausea so Dr. Kalsi and her wonderful assistant brought the chair to a nearly upright position and finished the lengthy procedure while standing!I was really impressed with their willingness to do whatever they had to do to make me comfortable. Also, even though Im a grown man Ive always had an unreasonable fear of dental pain due to some bad experiences elsewhere. I can honestly say my last visit for a crown was almost 100% pain free. Dr. Kalsi and her assistants personalities were great at helping me stay relaxed and calm instead of all tensed up like I normally am.Thanks to my wife and Hires Dental, I dont have to dread my upcoming appointments any longer!

Friendly people from the moment youre in the door until you leave. Never had a complaint in 5 years . They are very friendly, they listen to you, no rush, they work as a team and are all very knowledgeable. I just had two cavities filled. One was hurting and it was on the fence for needing a root canal. After working on me, she was able to avoid the root canal. 2 days later and I still havent felt the slightest bit of pain. Other than the initial cavity pain being gone. I cant even tell I just had dental work done.They have the skill set to match their knowledge.All around great place !!!!

I first started going to Hires when I was 16 years old. After I turned 18 years old I slacked off not being a responsible adult. After so many years I finally went back and they cared for me like I never left. I felt so welcomed and they gave me an amazing cleaning. My teeth looks perfect and bright again.

Everyone was really nice at this office. Very clean office.Everyone came off as very happy to be there, like they love their job and thats really shown with their patient care and that’s hard to find. The woman who did my cleaning was beyond amazing. She does her job very very well you can tell she’s not burned out by her job because she was not rushed. The service I received today let’s me know every dentist I’ve seen before this really didn’t care about their patients and rushed services.I guess if you had a complaint it would be that the space is small where you actually get your teeth looked at. And not much privacy but it’s not a big deal.If anyone asked for a dental office I’d recommend this office.

I love Hires Dental. Our entire family goes there. The service is always impeccable and the staff always remembers us. Just recently, my son who is a college student needed a quick turnaround on an appointment due to going back to school. They were able to accommodate us and it was really helpful. Finally, the soft perks. They have complimentary water, coffee, and tea, late and weekend hours and the staff is very polished and professional. Not sure why anyone would want to go any place else.

I had the best experience that I have ever had at the dentist when I began coming to Hires. I am a young adult and this was my first time finding a dentist on my own. They were so helpful and everything went smoothly. Now, 6 months later, I have had another amazing experience. My hygienist remembered basic facts about me which was nice and my doctor was kind and thoughtful. she also checked for mouth cancer and lymph nodes surrounding-so impressed! I would refer anyone in the area to Hires and I appreciate all their hard work to ensure a great experience.

I was pretty nervous and full of anxiety when I walked into my appointment for oral surgery, yesterday. I knew what to expect, because everyone is friendly (the recptionists, hygienists, the dentist), and any questions I had, they were answered. But, at the same time, I didnt know what to expect as far as the pain. I received the beginning phases of a dental implant, and to be honest, I was nervous over the thought of how much I thought it would hurt. Well, it definitely wasnt as bad as I thought, as everyone made me feel comfortable, the procedure went well, it was quick, and the aftercare wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. Im truly impressed. From what I was expecting, it was definitely a more pleasureable experience than I anticipated. I would recommend anyone to go here! They will make you feel comfortable and the service is always on point!

My whole family goes to this office and we love it. The office is always very clean and the staff is amazing. My daughters are 3&5 and love going to the dentist. They ask all the time when their next appointment is. The staff is great with my kids and even include them in the exams and when they are talking to me about their teeth. I have been going to this dentist since I was a child and long before they were in the location they are in now. (30 yrs?) Dr. Hires is awesome! He does a great job on fillings, and crowns Ive had done, does his job quickly and efficiently! I recently had a difficult filling done and the lady dentist that did the work did a good job, I cant remember her name :-(Dr. Hires sister Karen works there and is a great hygienist. Many others are really good also, cant remember names though. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Dr. Hires goes through great lengths to make sure youre comfortable. They have gas anesthesia which helps a lot as well as a heated massage chair and headphones to help you relax! I have never had the sedation dentistry done but I know they offer it.I highly recommend giving them a try!

I have been going to Hires Dental for many, many years. I really feel that they are earnestly looking after my long-term dental health, using routine measurements, X-Rays, and advanced technologies. Cleanings are gentle and very complete. The whole staff does a great job, including visual screening for cancer of the mouth/tongue.

This is by far the best dentist office that Ive been to. I was greeted right away. The staff was very friendly and the office is well organized and clean. They even have a little beverage center while you wait. I only waited for the time it took me to complete my new patient paperwork. The staff was very knowledgeable and explained everything. I felt very comfortable there. It was my first time there, but definitely not my last.

The hygienist, Karen, was amazing! SO gentle and explained everything that she was going to do! She answered all my questions and gave advice on how to floss better. I specifically requested her for my next appointment and am excited to go back!

I have always had major anxiety about going to the dentist and stopped going for many years. My aunt convinced me to try Hires and I never knew going to the dentist could be so pleasant. I always feel welcomed and well cared for at Hires. For the first time in my life I can go to the dentist on my own and know I have nothing to worry about. Plus my teeth have never looked or felt healthier! If you’re looking for a sign to try Hires this is it!

I cannot say enough good things about this dental practice! I walked into my first appointment with them (after years of not seeing a dentist) and I was in tears! Dental anxiety is very real! The entire team of Hires Dental Care were so kind and compassionate that I walked away no longer afraid of the dentist. Their first priority is your comfort. They wont make you push through the pain, they explain every step of the process and they will never make you feel bad for the length of time that it has been since you have been to a dentist.

Dr. Hires is the best dentist in the whole state of Ohio. They take excellent care of their patients, and are extremely professional, and accommodating. My grandma and grandpa Paul and Brenda Kurth both go there. They are so pleased with the care they receive from the staff. Grandpa has alzheimers and dementia and he finally felt comfortable somewhere. Which doesnt happen often. They helped fix mistakes that were made by other less reputable dentists. And did it at a very reasonable price. I cant thank them enough for taking care of my family members, and making them have beautiful smiles. I reccomend them to anyone needing dental work no matter how minor, or extensive. You will not be disappointed with the results.

I have only had positive experiences at Hires Dental in the many years I have been in their care. The staff is very friendly and attentive and able to put one at ease in every situation. I am especially fond of Dr. Hires and Karen, my hygienist, but have recently been impressed with the care I have received from the newer members on the team as well. I strongly recommend Hires Dental as a warm, friendly, professional and pain-free practice for your dental needs.

I wouldnt go anywhere else. The dentists and staff are amazing. They are committed to making you feel like part of the family.They also do everything they can to make scheduling convenient for you. They have early and late appointments and Saturdays also.This is not one of those get them in and get them out kind of places.

I had absolutely no problems with the quality of service here or the wonderful staff. This is probably the nicest dentist office that Ive ever been to and Ive had 2 excellent experiences here... Just make sure you have dental insurance! After both of my appointments, I had to pay everything upfront. They told me that they do not do any payment plans. I was lucky the first time around, but I cant cough up enough dough for a root canal here... Which stinks because I would come back if I could afford it!! I understand that kind of thing can get expensive, though. 😔 Would give 5 stars if I could have set up a repayment plan with them!

Fast in and out service wouldnt want to go anywhere else for dental care. Carol Gordan is a great hygienist too so if you get her youre doing yourself a favor! Brittany is also pretty cool.

I love Dr. Hires ‼️‼️ Due to insurance, I had to go to another dentist and I was so sore after a regular cleaning I never went back. At DR. Hires I have NEVER been sore after a cleaning ‼️I will gladly pay a higher premium for my own insurance so I can stay with DR. Hires. Carol, Karen and the other staff members are awesome ‼️👍🏾😄

Jenny was absolutely wonderful! She was very gentle and pleasant! The Dr. was also very nice and pleasant. She provided a referral for an orthodontist which Ive been searching for. The receptionist was very nice as well.

Always a pleasure to visit the office. I have a hectic work schedule and often have to cancel or reschedule and the office is always more then accommodating. I always recommend Hires Dental!

The entire office staff are so friendly, no long waits to be seen, a spotless environment, as well as flexible billing options, whats not to love? Dr. Hires is such a great dentist, and what he does for our veterans is very commendable.
