I talked to a lady at H&R block yesterday (3-11-2020) and I explained everything to her that I needed. She told me to bring everything that I had in and she would estimate how much I would get. I went down there today (3-12-2020) and gave her my information and asked her if she could give me a estimate and all she said was you will get a nice refund without even estimating it on the computer and said we charge $400.00. I asked her do I have to have the $400.00 and she said yes. She should of told me this yesterday on the phone that it would be $400.00 and she didnt even put ANY information in on the computer for a estimate which I know she could have done easily. All she did was looked at it and said youll get a nice refund. The only thing I can think of was since I didnt have the $400.00 she wasnt going to enter ANYTHING and she didnt. If I knew she was gonna do all of this, I would have stayed home. I worked all day long and after I got home, I only had 35 minutes left to get there so i rushed to eat, rushed out the door... ONLY for her to just look at it without putting any information in the computer and talking about $400.00. So I got on my phone and looked up tax preparers near me and the closes one to me was Liberty Tax Preparer. I went in and greeted myself and asked could she give me an estimate on how much I would get on the computer and she said, yes, no problem and she did. I wished the lady at H&R Block would have done this from the beginning. I WILL NEVER RETURN THERE!!

I just called to get advice about filing a return if you have no income. The receptionist was very polite but when she put me on the phone with Judy she was very rude and hung up on me. She acted as if I was bothering her. I know now NOT to recommend anyone go to her!!

DISGUSTED WITH THIS PLACE! They Told us they could NOT do our taxes because we did not make enough. We were treated like we were stupid and didnt know what we were doing. We tried another place and then Found out that we SHOULD Have been filing this whole time! Thanks for NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!! Tried to talk to the manager, they have such a rotating door on their staff that they dont even know who worked there 3 years ago and the manager isnt even the same one they had last year.Will NEVER use HR Block again! PERIOD! They have gone down hill so bad. So sad. :(
