I had a very pleasing experience. I work over nights & sleep during the day. I was expecting the technician to take a few hours to set everything up & I feared I would have to miss some sleep. But that wasn’t the case. He showed up, knew exactly where everything was, set up the modem & then had everything else taken care of in less than 30 minutes. They wanted us to wait 4 days for technician to arrive. I had to call and complain to get issue resolved in 3 days. Have been using them for over 36 years. Might be time to look for other services. No phone no internet. Thank goodness we have AT&T cell.

Windstream’s customer service is awful. Response time to address customer issues, service from their call center (which evidently is contracted) lacking, and overall resolution is slow, cumbersome, and not customer focused. If other telecommunications options were available in my service area, I would certainly consider them for service.
We have never received the service we have paid for. The first month our phone would not work, and now I can no longer connect to Wi-Fi. I had a service call yesterday, and no one ever came. Now my ticket has been closed out and the agent I spoke to hung up on me. This is the worst customer service Ive ever seen anywhere. I will be looking for a new internet provider.

Started and we need well but the middle was a mess! Support took my information and gave me a case number and indicated they should have the problem fixed within a day and I told him that was very acceptable and that went pretty well.Then I got a ridiculous email that said they needed to ask me the same questions that support has asked me so that they could enter the ticket into the stream for scheduling. I answered the email but they understood very clearly how frustrated I was with such a ridiculous request and I didn’t hear from him again until the technician called me the next dayAt that point things improved dramatically and the technician was on time very courteous very professional and resolve the problem in less than an hour and even made sure to call back and make sure everything was working so I give a five on technical service and two or three on support
Otis my installer tech was outstanding. He worked hard and professionally. This guy deserves a raise. He had a lot to do based on our rural location, but he delivered and was quick. He called ahead and he helped me with initial setup. If all of Windstream is this good, then I am thrilled…they are the only high speed ISP in our area.
The technician was prompt, he was very professional could dress a little bit better.He was very knowledgeable in his installation of the device and with the wiring around the house And inside the house. He needs to improve his people skills. My roommate tried to ask him a question when he 1st arrived he ignored the question my roommate asked him 2 times and when and I spoke out to him and I told him my roommate wanted to ask you a question my roommate responded I just wanted to know if you need me to move my truck so you can gain to the electric pole, the technician responded, I figured you were gonna ask that question, the answer is no, thats why I didnt respond. He should never assume to know the question thats gonna be asked and just ignore people who are asking him a question, he should always respond to the question any question without assuming anything. Also when I asked him questions I had trouble articulating my questions he seems a little little bit irritated cuz I couldnt get my question out and I had to explain to him I am disabled and I have a situation to where I cant articulate well or remember things well after I told him that, he seemed a little bit more lenient and answer my questions and waited for me to ask the question. I shouldnt have to explain anything about my situation, he needs to have patience with people, all people. He didnt explain the services at all unless I asked him. He needs to take the time to explain the services. And to answer all questions, he is representing Windstream a Internet Provider.
The tech, Mike, that came and fixed our issue was great and explained everything to us. The fixed issues that were actually bypassed by others. Then took time to explain everything and made sure we were up and running before he left.
The technician Jerry came on time as scheduled. Jerry is very pleasant and introduced himself politely. He did an excellent job and made my internet running in no time. He’s very good on what he does and explained the process well. Job well done Jerry!!!

Technician was quick and thorough. We weren’t aware that we would have a wire sticking out for 7-10 days after install was completed. But overall it was a good experience.

Our installer, Jerry, was wonderful. He was very professional. He had to do some extra work at our home because we hadnt had that type of internet service before. He kept us informed of everything he was doing and why. He didnt have to do that, but it was very much appreciated. I would recommend Windstream and would ask that Jerry be your installer.

I was and am very pleased with the service I have and I have told other as well and they have switched their service over to Kinetic as well. As far as a internet provider it has to be one of the best that I have ever had and I have use a few other provider in the past.
Everyone was very helpful in making sure that my service was started with little to no problem. I have never had any problem with my internet going out or with slow service.
Lea arrived on time and performed her job very well. i have KInetic in my whole home. what i dont have has nothing to do with Lea. i signed up for 400 megs and only have mid 90s. hopefully that will change soon

The young man that installed for us today was AWESOME. He was respectful, kept with the CDC guidelines even though we didnt care. He was very tidy with his wiring, wired extra wires back up, and took down the old wiring that was unsafe. I was very impressed!

Most customer service experience is ok. Install experience was a little unpleasant. Online app doesnt allow to upgrade/add/remove services. Services are okay and appt. times were quick and usually has next day availability.

He has excellent customer service, I really appreciate him pushing my work ticket to the technician. The technician also was very prompt arriving to diagnose and fix the problem in no time. Thank you Tommy (our installer) for making this transition from Cox to Windstream a pleasant experience. The communication with Windstream from start to finish was excellent. I was given a 2 hour window on arrival and then message when the installer was on his way to my home. Tommy explained everything he was going to do and addressed a few questions I had and before I knew it my lines were ran and everything was hooked up. He made sure before he left that all my devices were connected and running properly and even went above making sure my elderly mom who lives in my walkout basement was connected and comfortable with the new system. Seemed disgruntled from the time he arrived... said he could not install based on the way the order was written but he could make a call... so he got his truck and drove off... called 30 minutes later saying he would not be installing today... super unhelpful
After having Windstream service at my home for 18 years, I contacted Windstream a couple weeks ago to inform them my internet speed is slow as a turtle, and have been told repeatedly I am eligible for a free speed upgrade, still not delivered on. While each Windstream rep who comes to my home is very kind, they are all unable to resolve my slow internet speed issue I call them out for. I understand its not the reps fault, as Windstream continues to submit my order as a trouble ticket rather than an upgrade, and I have to call them back repeatedly and wait on extended hold times. Cecil is the 4th technician scheduled in the last 1-2 weeks that couldnt help, and Im frustrated my problem remains unresolved. Ive spent upwards of 10 hours and many a grey hair with the problem still on my hands. If I ran my business this way, Id be out of business.
Great service. Travis is always so helpful and kind. Our internet speed has always been great, but now with fiber optic, it’s amazing!
If I could give them zero stars I would. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I have no service more than I service. I call to get repair service and it takes a week for them to show up.The technician gets the service back on fills out a repair ticket and then another group shows up and screws it up so bad I don’t have any service at all and just drives off. Call windstream back and it’s going to be another five days before they will come and work on it again. Just find someone else to get service from and save the frustration.
