HUGE disappointment, i signed up for cable today (9-30-21) to make a bundle out of my existing Internet service, paying $55/month for 200 Mbps down, not a bad price. I saw on their own website $90/month if i add TV, also not too bad. Here is the kicker, that price does NOT include all the fees. Just the taxes alone put me to $130, then i wanted DVR service, which added $12.99. so the whole bill is $145/month when the advertised price is $90/month. That little star next to the price should say you feel lucky Dumba** ? - I had cable service for one hour. Dont fall for the little star.
If I could give them 0 stars I would. When I first started service, they didn’t have my equipment ready even though I ordered it in advance. Then it wouldn’t connect. When it finally connected, I got internet that went in and out daily. The customer support is less than good. They didn’t offer any solutions that worked and even ended my chat before answering my questions. Terrible internet service. Don’t do it.

I went here once not too long ago the girl was amazing and today I went and the girl a different girl at the desk today was rude and seemed like she just didn’t want to do her job and another dude told me yesterday that they could fix my phone and I was in there today and that girl right in front of that same guy who said they could fix my phone said she couldn’t so I assume neither of them wanted to do their job plus the attitude I received from the girl was absolutely ridiculous. Apartently all their employees need to get on the same page and do some sort of refresher course or something

The worst company I have EVER dealt with.I have had the worst experience with this service. I had new phone service hooked up in March which was a huge hassle to get. It took the tech 3 hours (not his fault) to get it going. He had to call the customer service department himself to make it work. Nobody could figure out how to get my service going and had 3 different answers as to why there was an issue. He finally got my phone up and running then at the beginning of this week, I found out that my phone number was given to someone else!!! My service was shut off for absolutely no reason. They said they didnt know what happened?!This phone line was a business phone. So, after I paid for signage with the phone number I was given, its no longer valid. I am out a lot of money and have lost business because of their negligence. After talking to 3 different customer service reps, being on the phone for 3 hours and physically going to the office, the issue still has not been resolved and my phone still hasnt been hooked back up.
This review is of my experience with Spectrum as a whole, and not about this local branch. I moved to Terre Haute August of 2020 and had Spectrum install internet in my apartment. They made me do a bundle of TV+internet for the cheapest rate on an internet service and assured me it was not a promotion. (I have fallen for this before) Fast forward a year later, and my bill randomly doubles for August of 2021. You guessed it, promotion expired. They harass me every week with emails regarding promotional deals on phone, internet, and TV bundles yet fail to inform me that there is a promotion on my current service that is about to expire. I called customer support and talked to Terry who informed me about the expiration and how to actually find it. I was then informed by his manager, Monica, that the best they could do for me was apply a customer service credit and an internet blackout credit. (just one credit for about 30 over the last year) This brought my bill down by about $34, which means I am still stuck paying way more than my initial monthly payment. I have informed them that I am canceling their service and will be going with a different provider.
Love my cell phone . I changed my service to spectrum and I have better service with them. there better then anyone phone carrier I have ever had . And they have the best Internet it dont lag like others do . Thank you spectrum ..
Internets great when it actually works. Mine goes out at least once a month, every month, at around the same time. This has been occurring since we started our service and is still happening, even after replacing our modem and router. Trash service.
They offer internet for around 45-65$ for the first 12 months. After 12 months of being a loyal customer, my bill was raised by 20$ per month. I spoke with customer service and explained that Im considering shopping around for more affordable internet and how poor of a customer retention plan that is.. They offered no discounts or resolution. I was informed my bill will be increasing again in less than a year. 85$+ per month for internet is outrageous.. Also they harass everyones mailbox with atleast one piece of snail mail per business day. Ill happily shop around for more affordable internet services.
Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. They keep you moving from one agent to another repeating the same story time and time again, and finally you get disconnected.

I was told by the Spectrum call center to come here to swap out my router that was choking the bandwidth on my 1 Gbps service to the rest of my house and limiting it to approx 1/2 what I was paying for.. I was told they would have the faster Wi-Fi 6 version.. they dont and cant even order it.. not really the fault of the location, but the company needs to have a better handle on what they promise vs deliver when it comes to their service... all to the inclusion of knowing what is and is not available in the specified market of their clients.. ultimately, they dont even have Wi-Fi 6 in my area at all... I have to buy my own router to get what I need... disappointment..

Would give negative stars if possible. I have usedSpectrum for 10+ years, but today will be my LAST and I won’t be returning! I moved 2 months ago, and have still been fighting to get the internet turned on in my new home (same city, less than 20 minutes away from my last home)! Within the past few weeks, I have spent 10+ HOURS on the phone with several techs as well as supervisors regarding this issue. They have yet to figure out why my internet connection is offline, but continue to bill me for services I’ve not even receiving! They sent out a tech between 4-5 pm and I was suppose to receive a 30-minute ‘heads up’ prior to their arrival. The tech never contacted me, and showed up at 5:47PM and never even got out of the truck! He pulled in, parked, then left!! Hands down the WORST customer service, if your looking for disappointment, you’ve found your match!
If I could give 0 stars I would. The customer service agents for the mobile service are AWFUL! They interrupt you and wont listen to what you have to say, one person will tell you one thing then another person will say no thats not right, and their attitudes! Ive worked in customer service before and I was appalled at the number of agents that were flat out rude to me. How do they still have jobs? I called to cancel my service and by the third transfer I was a little annoyed at being given the run around. I gave the guy my previous address because the agent before him said they didnt have my current on file, I tried to explain that to him and he says well youre talking to me now all rude. Terrible company.

If you’re looking for disappointment, you’ve found it. Not only can you expect to pay high prices for average internet, you also get the added bonus of constantly dealing with your internet going in and out. I think dial-up has a better shot of running internet more capable than this. If 0 stars were an option, that would be more appropriate.

Worst service ever, I’ve been a customer for 6 going on 7 years now.... I recently moved only to find out they don’t even know who I am and can’t find me in the system. They don’t forget to charge me every month but can so easily lose me in their database??? Makes no sense! The internet cuts out all the time! The customer service reps are far from helpful. I had service with Spectrum for 10 years. For the last 5 years the Wifi didnt even work on one side of my house. $75 a month, for wifi that only worked on one side of the home. I called recently to cancel service because my husband and I moved, and where we moved to, Spectrum does not do service in the area. I cancelled on the 11th of October. Apparently my service dates for the month started on October 8th, and go through November 7th. Even though I only used 3 days of Wifi, I still have to pay $75 for the other 28 days that I wont be using it. Apparently this was in the verbal contract that they expected me to remember from 10 years ago. I will never be a customer again.
Monopolizes areas with low quality service, forcing people who want the necessity of internet to have constant interruptions and frustration. Avoid them unless you have absolutely no other choice.

Just this summer my modem and router have gone bad twice. Today was the most recent. The equipment is cheap and simply horrible. All I did today was unplug my equipment to rearrange some furniture and when I went to plug them back in, no more internet. That makes no sense. I now have to go the weekend without internet and go into the store this week during the pandemic to swap out both pieces of equipment for the SECOND time this summer.
We had issues transferring our service when moving. Ultimately our service was turned off because there was confusion on their end about our current service address. We called to resolve the issue it took about 4 hours, 10 phone calls, and endless amount of transfers to resolve a super simple issue. After the issue was resolved we were charged twice at the exact same date. I called to request a refund which was promised to us within 7 days. However, we never received it. When I called to follow-up there answer changed once again and they refused us the refund. The lack of communication between employees is unacceptable, we were never given a straight answer, and the excuses are always different. I am now in search of a better provider.
I would have rated them 2 stars because of the strong signal I received, yet my service would go out randomly some nights. I rate them 1 star because they charged me for a full month of service just because I turned my modem in 4 days into a month of service. (you cannot end service until you turn in your modem). I called customer service, but they will not pro-rate the final bill. In my opinion, this shows that they are a greedy company. I recommend picking a different cable company, if any are available in your area.
A tech has to be called out for every little thing. I have to take off work each time and tech left with my channels unfocused, called spectrum as soon as the tech left and was told I cant get another tech out for the same day. Therefore, I was 2 weeks without cable that I was paying for. Spectrum service is a joke.
They were professional and friendly and gave me the answers I needed.

I lost the one channel that I love to watch and now I can’t cancel because then I would be paying $90 just for internet, instead of $40 what I was promised. What a scam. Not to mention that they have HORRIBLE customer service.
Theyre backwards nothing else to put
After a month we still have unresolved issues. One tech said our tap was fried. That issues was fixed, still no service. Equipment replaced, still no service. It is beyond frustrating. All this during a time when working from home is a must.
So they sent an email about an Internet upgrade. Just click here. So I did and several people later my modem wont work, they need to get me a better one, make an appointment, blah blah blah. I gave up.

Worst service ever, my brother has been waiting an entire month for service no one has been down they keep giving him the run around saying theyll be there sunday then change it Wednesday then change it to a Saturday. not to mention they billed him for the first month when they hadnt even installed the internet. Spectrum is a complete joke in Terre Haute Indiana if you dont want to do your job then you should quit. Instead of having your reliable customers wait an entire month for service not to mention having to pay big money to get the line dropped into the house.
If I could give less than one star I would. Ive had service for 5 years with no issues. Once I decided to move and terminate my service I was charged for an extra month of service, given the wrong information by 5 different associates, over the course of 3 weeks I tried to return the equipment at 5 different locations where no one would take it always with an excuse that didnt match the information I was previously given and now Ive recently received a letter from a collection agency for the remainder balance when I never recieved a final bill! I dont recommend using this company.

The employees tell you what you want to hear to get you off the phone. Nobody take responsibility to resolve an issue. Terrible Customer Service. Sometimes you should not just read your script, actually be an active Rep and go outside your screen and help resolve the issue. Thats good Customer Service. Disappointed in Spectrum and how they encourage robots instead of training for their representatives and their lack of department to department communication.
High price place
Had Spectrum for three years, and other than occasionally slow or disconnected internet, service wasnt bad for the duration of my time with them. But here is why I gave one star- and I would give NEGATIVE if the option was available.When moving 2 hours away, they told me to take my modem with me. After giving them my address to start connection, I drove two hours and set my modem up. After dealing with them on the phone for an hour, they came to the conclusion that my modem was too old, and that they needed to send me a new modem. They sent it to my old address, so I drove two hours to pick it up, and then two hours back home. Plugged it in, and the process repeated. I spent an hour on the phone with them, and they came to the conclusion that I needed to initially set up that modem with my old internet before they could move it again.So another four hour trip later, I was back at my new place when they realized finally that I was gridlocked in to a different service, and I could not get internet.So they told me I had to pay a large sum of cancelation fees and return the modem. I complained about the driving, and they told me they would take care of the fees, as long as I returned the modems.So I returned the modems.They then proceeded to call me over the span of the next year at least five times about the money they said they would take care of, never once mentioning the modems. Eventually after LITERALLY crying to multiple managers in frustration, being hung up on by rude employees, being talked down to, and finally getting ahold of a manager who listened back on our recorded calls and apologized profusely, they took care of the problem- a phrase in which I had heard multiple times, but this time they didnt call back and I believed the issue was solved.Then, I recieved bills in the mail, called, they said that it was taken care of. Repeat this a few times. The bills finally stopped.TWO YEARS PASS. Im pregnant and in an entirely new place, and Spectrum calls me for all of my charges and the modems and no matter how many people I talked to, which the manager literally yelled at me, they absolutely refused to remove stating that I had to prove that I returned the modems. Let me repeat, that it was almost FOUR YEARS after I had no longer had service with them. Luckily, I found one of the receipts for the proof of return, but could not find the other after all of that time, and had to pay almost $300 for something they promised they would take care of after running me around.TLDR; dont get Spectrum. Theyre thieves, theyre liars, theyre beyond rude, and they dont keep their promises, and they dont care about their clients at all. Mediocre service is not worth the stress they put you through. I promise you, a different provider is much easier to deal with.
My service has been consistent, but they do work pretty hard to give you and charge you for extra services that you may not want. Just tell them exactly what you want, dont give in and theyll work for you. So far the best cable company Ive paid for. They are, in the end, a cable company though. So Im reviewing in relation to my past experiences.

Customer service is dreadful -- rude, couldnt care less. They dont honor promotions, so your price just keeps going up and up. They will try to get you to upgrade your services, even though you dont have the equipment needed for the upgrade. Many services advertised repeatedly on their commercials actually never are available in my area.But the worst is definitely the deplorable customer service -- they lie, they put you on a forever hold, they hang up on you. They always have some excuse for their mistakes, are never willing to own up.My services NEVER changed month-to-month, but my bill DID. It would take over an hour EVERY month to get it straightened out, yet often I never got any credit for THEIR screw-up which necessitated my spending so much time each month.After I cancelled, I got a snail mail saying how sorry they were to lose me, so please call. Out of curiosity I did -- after 15 minutes with a very bored-sounding rep, she was, oops, your area doesnt support the new and upgraded equipment I offered ... Ill have to go and rework the quote.Yeah, that really made me want to return. My always-renewable promotions did NOT renew when they merged with Charter. Go figure.

If zero stars were available for their on demand and canceling MAVTV without even making it available for purchase Id def give them zero stars. This review is strictly towards the company and not any of their employees who came out and sat on hold 50+min with their own customer service to see why channels were canceled and on demand stopped through their app. Those employees were great, none of it is a reflection on their effort.

When is this area going to upgrade to Digital? We really have sub-standard service. The TV guide function is the worst. Multiple times a day it has to Change the Day. Whatever that means - so you wait. Sometimes it never changes so you have no idea what is on. Poor.Hello - Spectrum - Are you listening??? Things have gotten worse. Now have to wait for Program Descriptions to load any time of day. Same old, tired movies. This is a good example why huge companies are a bad idea.

Zero stars if I could rate that. They came to our house after weeks of calling and tried to claim “we were getting more than we were supposed to” on our internet. What does that even mean? They then said we needed a new cable and someone would be by to bury it in the next week. Well, it’s been two months. I think I’d rather have no internet than this garbage.
Im actually quite suprised with all the one star reviews! Both office and over the phone customer service has been wonderful. Ive had to reset my box twice, however the first time over the phone was great! Very helpful! They also hooked me up with a deal and helped me with my transfer fees when i moved! So far im impressed! Friendly installers as well.

The workers here are very rude and, in fact, when you talk to them about spectrum (time Warner Cable), they tell you that they are not part of that company. They are unwilling to help. It is easier to sit on the phone and wait on hold for someone who actually will help.
There is always a long line there. But most of the staff are nice.

3 appointments missed today but they gave me a $20 credit( BIG DEAL!!) after it cost me 2 hr of my time, plus there was a Spectrum truck in my front yard this morning but the guy said he had no work order . it is now 7 hrs after my appt but they said there trying to fix it . VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE !!! Not worth my money at this time .
The customer service here at spectrum was absolutely amazing. I cannot remember her name exactly but I believe it was Jessica. She was very helpful in getting me set up with Spectrum Mobile and getting my device to work. We hit a few bumps in the road due to a broken sim card (it happens, nobodys fault really) and it took a lot longer than expected to get my service up and running than we originally thought. The customer service line was helpful as well in going step by step and making sure it was the sim card. Went in the next day after I first went in and changed the sim and my phone has worked perfectly since then! Thanks Spectrum team.

This Spectrum location is TERRIBLE. The workers here are completely incompetent and do not understand the meaning of customer service. Recently, my area has went to an all digital cable service. In result, this means you must have a cable box for every TV in your home. Sure enough, this location gave me a cable box from 2010 (a giant, tacky, black device). When I returned to exchange it, the lady working gave me the excuse that Terre Haute is a dump and thats what I get for living in this city. She said to come back at the end of the year and maybe we can help you then. Absolutely pathetic. Do not get Spectrum cable, internet, absolutely nothing. If you do, you will be disappointed.
