I came to pick up my sleep study device this morning. The receptionist greeted me immediately with a cheerful, warm, professional voice. As soon as I told her my name, she knew my case right away. She handed me the sleep study kit, opened it, and rapidly & effectively explained how to use it. I didn’t lose one minute; she had me on my way, and I even made it to work on time.

I have been coming here with my family for a few years! We have seen a few people come and go. I need to give kudos to both April and Solomon. They have always been so kind, professional, and accommodating. They are definitely in the right profession as they always greet you with a smile.

The staff and doctor at temple total dental were awesome. From the moment I stepped foot in the door it has been a great experience. They really took care of me and made me feel very comfortable. This has been the best dental visit I have ever had in my life. From the staff to the doctor you guys are great.

I had to see Dr. Slighly for tooth pain. The Dr was awesome! He treated me with compassion and understanding. The staff was super. The receptionist April, was very helpful and worked with me to get me in when my pain was intolerable. My experience with every member of the team was the best I have ever had. I felt very comfortable and welcomed. The technician who did my X-rays, went above and beyond to ensure all X-rays taken did not cause any additional pain. Thank you.

The receptionist April was amazing. She was constantly in contact with me about my appointment. However, the service I was provided didnt exactly meet the same standards. My appointment was at 1230 but I got there early because I knew I had to fill out paperwork around 1145. Did the paperwork, the lady took me back to see the dentist they numbed me up and then I sat in the chair for 20 mins waiting on someone to take care of me. The Dentist comes back as I was looking at my watch and stated I could reschedule if I would like. Now mind you I been waiting to get this taken care of since March no fault of the place rendering the service. They were like a pit crew for the Indy 500 rushing and being very rough with me so finally they get my temporary crown in I go home and the next day I flossed my teeth and the entire crown came out my mouth. The service was very bad and I hope they have a better mind set with putting my permanent crown in or I will seek another dental place to do the work.

The entire staff was very friendly, and professional who understood my emergency needs. They were all compassionate, and honest. After my treatment I received a same day follow up call by Mimi, absolutely an amazing person. She made me feel at ease the service was fantastic. It was a pleasure to stop in and leave with a smile.Thank you Staff!

The first time I had root canal done. I almost kicked the dentist in the mouth. I usually use the VA in Temple Tx. Dr. Nickel is my main Dentist. That was my first painful experience. Today was enjoyable for me compared to what I expected. Thank you very much.

The wife had been hurting for months! Lady dentist wouldnt do anything because they were too scared of her blood pressure. These guys knew that they were related as pulled the tooth for her... finally!

I absolutely love this place!! Sullivan who works the main desk is absolutely fantastic. He works with you to make sure you can get your co-pays and you know exactly what you need. I love my dental hygienist Dory Bryson. She makes me feel very welcome and comfortable. I have never had the best experience with dentist offices, but this place has changed that for me. I would recommend them to anyone!!!

Friendly atmosphere. Always seem to be running late though. Most dentists make me nervous anyway because I am not sure what they will be doing in detail. I am not use to having a specialist for like a root canal, use to having the same dentist doing everything. Advanced modern computerized instruments used. It would help if they explained what they are doing during each appointment even if they explained everything during the dental plan made for you.

Absolutely wonderful. The staff and Dr. Slighly were amazing! They took really good care of me and my teeth, & made sure I was comfortable. Definitely recommending to all my friends and family!

I would not recommend this place to anyone. They don’t return phone calls they close during posted open hours and cancel appointments on the day of the appointment when you are about to walk in the door. Yes after a 1 hour trip..Really it is impossible to reach any one on the phone most of the time.

This was the dentist appointments from hell!!!!I am a vet and was recommended by V.A. because no appointments available.The doctor came in 4 times continuous sticking me with 5 or 6 needles at a time. I clutched my purse because they said no where to put it.After he would try to numb it he would come back and try to pull it again. Each time he would try to pull it I cried it hurt so bad.He didnt have assistant he would try to hold suction while giving me shots. 2 times the shot landed on roof of my mouth!!!He got mad at me for moving.Came back later told me he couldnt pull it. Left room.I drove to V.A after I left in pain with a swollen cheech and I was bleeding!V.A. called the clinic and took care of me..I never write reviews but I felt I had to let people know. And hopefully it will not happen to you.

I got a procedure done here that I have gotten in the past and I don’t remember it hurting this bad. Also since it’s Memorial Weekend I have to spend this 4 day in pain due to the fact that the office is closed... it’s been a nightmare. I’ve been taking medicine and nothing it’s working. I’m a new patient here and I’m starting to feel like I picked the wrong place.Sadly I have to wait until they’re done with this until I’m able to find a new dentist.

God works in mysterious ways. I was not able to go to my regular dentist because God knew I needed the care and compassion from his Angels here at Temple Total Dental & Orthodontics. Thanks Solomon, Eric, Sally, Jacob, Genesis and especially Dr. Santos. The year 2020 has not been a great year for many of us. But to know that humanity and kindness still exists in times like theses from Angels like you all, gives hope to those of us who have been lost this year. May God continue to Bless you all and please continue to shine the light in which each of you individually carry your own unique light that illuminates and lights up the darkest of places.... there are a lot of us who need it and it is well appreciated....Thanks for taking such good care of me!!! If I could provide lr than a 1 Star, I would. They are all about billing you and your insurance upfront when they do not even perform services they billed. They over billed me and then told me that I had a $7 credit instead of the $52 credit for services they did not perform. I was told that I would receive a phone call once they figured it their billing mistake. Well, that was 7 months ago and Im still waiting for that call. The incompetence to successfully run the office and billing is bountiful. Honestly its not worth the headache. I canceled my appointments and still get constant reminders of up coming visits, which future frustrates me with their incompetence of running the front office. The manager or front desk person whatever title they want to wear that day is snarky and snippy when you ask for explanations on billing concerns. I have no issues with the hygienist, they were all pleasant. My recommendation is to pay for services at the end, and ensure you know what your insurance coverage pays prior to having any work done.

I went there in dire need of wisdom teeth removal, lets just say I have always been one to avoid the dentist. But after the way they made me feel at home, appreciated, wanted and they held my hand during my multi wisdom tooth extraction. They ensured i did not feel a thing, at the end, the dentist ensured i knew exactly what had occurred and how the removal went. I was explained in great detail how-perform after care. Also when my next appointment is, Im going, i need movie star teeth, they will do it all.If you need dental work done at a great price, call them, they will treat you right!!!!

I have had an absolutely horrible experience with this practice and would not recommend. I typically dont leave reviews but this place has upset me enough that I HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere for your dental services. I booked a cleaning as a new patient this summer. It took them 30 minutes to call me back and I was there for close to two and a half hours. I booked a cleaning and left with my teeth not cleaned because they didnt have time. They took the most extensive x-rays I have ever had to endure and then sent in a dental hygienist who tried to up-sell every service this practice has to offer. Seriously, she tried to sell me a retainer check (I didnt get my braces there), whitening services, and mentioned my front tooth wasnt completely straight across and a potential solution for that is veneers. Veneers?! Cool, let me shell out $2,000 because my tooth isnt perfectly straight under your magnifying glass. I had a friend also go to this practice and they tried to sell him a sleep test. He is young and fit and mentioned he clenches his jaw at night sometimes. Id expect this type of pushy behavior at a Mary Kay party but a dental practice? It is ridiculous. Ive had no tooth pain but they told me I needed to come back multiple times for 2 crowns and multiple fillings (about 6). I floss twice daily, also use a water pick, brush 3 times daily, and use fluoride... this didnt add up. After doing research and talking with a lot of friends and coworkers about my experience, I learned that fraud is common in dental practices and was advised to get a second opinion. I requested my records in person, by email, and on the phone and they were never sent to me or the practice in Harker Heights I ended up switching to. Today I went to the new practice and surprise!! I dont need 2 crowns or multiple fillings. And they didnt charge me to take new x-rays after I explained how this practice has been acting. Please look for second opinions if you are thinking of getting any work done here and find a practice that doesnt reek of desperation for your money.

They were amazing. My husband and I dont have insurance and we are moving but they were very attentive and treated us like we have been patients for a long time.

The staff are ultra friendly, professional and courteous. My wife and I really like coming to the dentist since we started visiting. I would recommend trying if you want to have a great dental experience. All the staff makes you feel unstressed about visiting the dentist.

Scheduling a teeth cleaning is nearly impossible. It’s months out and they cancel on you or if you need to reschedule is another months out. My children have not been seen In a long time due to this reoccurrence

My appointment was fine. All of the necessary proceedures were explained completely. I had 2 extractions and felt very little pain. When it came to the price of an implant, I was surprised it would cost me over $5000 out of pocket. Also I discovered my Delta dental plan does not cover crowns and caps. As much as I would like to have all the suggested work done, I cant afford to spend 14 thousand dollars on my teeth.

Came in for appointment at 1130, got there at 1120. At 1207 they said we were never checked in and the doctor left can you come back at 100. Also have had multiple billing problems with this office with both the dentist and ortho.

It is rare these days to find medical professionals who take the time to listen to the patients questions and concerns and then give informative, helpful answers and explanations in plain language. Dr. Dory did all of the above, and I appreciate it very much.

Best dental experience Ive ever had. I went to Total Dental for an extraction, and Im usually terrified of the dentist. But everyone there was super friendly and inviting. I didnt feel pain at any point during the visit. Every single step of the way, the dentist made sure I was completely numb, even applying topical anesthetic before injecting the novocaine, so even the shots were painless. I was at ease the entire time. I will absolutely recommend them to my family in Temple.

I haven’t been to the Dentist in a very long time. It was never made a priority when I was younger and I was always afraid to be judged. Wisdoms teeth started to do their thing so I made an appointment. Everyone there was so nice and so friendly. Ms. Jackie was the best. She made me feel so comfortable and she was fun to talk too. No one there made me feel judged at all and they were so supportive and informative. I really enjoyed my experience here and I will be making them my main place to go. 💜

An implant tooth came out.

Do NOT go here! I repeat do NOT go here. They will tell you that you need services that you don’t need. They overcharge the insurance and are very deceitful about the billing. The office manager Eric is very smug, sarcastic, and arrogant and gets very rude once you question them about the billing. My son went there for a cleaning and to get a tooth fixed that a filling had fallen out of. They did not fix the tooth and told him he needed over $4000 worth of work (he went to a different dentist and confirmed all the work was NOT needed). Temple Total Dental also tried to sell him on a sleep apnea test he didn’t need either. When I called about the billing Eric told me he couldn’t discuss it with me because my son is over 18 (yes he is over 18 but he is still on MY insurance) I was not asking about oral health or anything personal just about the billing which I have a right to. Well anyways my son went to a different dentist and they fixed his tooth right away and confirmed the extra work was not all needed. Go elsewhere if you value honesty and your time and money!!

First I’d like to say that the receptionist at the front desk was very nice. He was very helpful when scheduling appointments for my husband, our son and myself but that was it. I was told to come earlier to fill out paperwork before my sons scheduled appointment. So we showed up 15 minutes earlier and waited 50 minutes before anyone called us back. Went to get xrays and my son had never had them done the way they did at their office so naturally he was uncomfortable and scared. The tech gave us five minutes of her time and then walked out to never come back again. I had to step out of the room to get someone else’s attention to help us. The woman who came in said that the tech was busy with someone else because my son was rowdy and unruly but if I wanted, they could go ahead with the cleaning. She took us a to a room and said someone would be in with us shortly and no one ever came in. I was in their office for a total hour and a half and nothing was done for my son. My husband had gone and waited two hours before anyone came and took him back only to say they couldn’t do a cleaning on him which was the only reason he went in that day. I will never go back and I would never recommend anyone to go there especially if you have kids. But if you’re looking for a place to go to waste a few hours of your life then this is the place!!

Going to Total Dental & Orthodontics in Temple was an excellent experience! The atmosphere was very pleasant and the staff were very polite and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Slighly. Dr. Slighly is very honest and upfront about what you need in your treatment plan. He informed me that I did not need an implant that a different dentist previously told me that I needed. He informed me that I needed three crowns, and the true condition of my teeth. Dr. Slighly and the staff genuinely care about your well being and that you get the dental help that you need. I trust them and will definitely be recommending them to my friends and family.

Eric at the front desk was great, he explained the process as it was our first time to include he went through the treatment plans and pricing with me and ensured I understood everything. He provided excellent customer service!

My appointment was at 8, its now 9 and Im still waiting. Now if they were busy I would maybe understand but other than me there was one other person whos appointment was after mine yet she gets seen before me. Now the positive is the guy at the front desk was very punctual which is more than I can say for the rest of them. The belton office is just as bad, customer service is just ridiculous. Hope it gets better but not gonna hold my breath. I gave them 2 chances and they just absolutely screwed both appointments up. Was scheduled to have deep cleaning done both times and it never got done. Worst experience I have honestly ever had. Right hand has no clue what the left is doing.

I went in for a consultation for braces. There was a bit of confusion with my dental insurance but it was no fault of Temple Total Dental & Orthodontics. The staff was extremely friendly and informative. I felt at ease during the whole process.

I had a broken wisdom tooth removed and kept telling the dentist I could feel the pain and even squirmed down in my chair from the amount of pain, he even held my head against his stomach to pull out the tooth. I will not return, you should listen to when a patient says there are in pain.Update he didnt even get all the pieces out because Ive had 2 bone spurs come out now in the last week from that site.

Happy to share that the dentist close by on West Adams was able to arrange a new patient appointment without any issues at all.

Warm & caring staff. Very careful in their work and fitting. Yesterday, I had a cap placed on my tooth. On the first attempt two weeks ago, the dentist wasnt pleased with the cap. She sent it back along with a new mold of the tooth. Yesterday, she spent an hour making sure the fit was absolutely perfect. When I said the fit was good enough, she continued to perfect the fit. Ive been with them for over a year now and cant say enough good about them. I highly recommend them.

My experience was wonderful!! We moved to the Temple area from Austin and have Ive been very nervous about finding a new dentist, but looks like Ive found my place. Love the staff and dentist they made me feel very comfortable. Ms. Melissa is the best dental hygienist ever!!! She is so gentle and very meticulous my teeth felt amazing when I left the office.

I went in for periodontal maintenance. The dental hygienist was very friendly and courteous. She was concerned about my comfort while she was checking my teeth and cleaning them. I appreciate the kindness and consideration by her and the rest of the staff.

I had my first implant yesterday. I am no stranger to dental work - that is for certain! But, this was by far the best treatment I have ever received. Everyone in the office helped ease my anxiety- I was comfortable throughout the procedure- and the trauma was very minimal compared to what I thought it would be. I’m so glad I found this dental office!! Thank you guys 😁🤗

My appointment was at 3:00 for a root canal its now 4:45 & Im still waiting in the lobby to be seen. ☹😟 Ok so update still waiting @ 5:15 yet I was asked at 5:05 if I wanted to wait another 30-45 mins or reschedule my root canal on the 16th considering I paid cash in December for a root canal on the same tooth Ive been in constant pain for weeks now missed 2 wks of work. Honestly do I want to wait until the 16th outrageous

I made the appointment specifically for two things, which I clarified when I called. One was to have a tooth bonded—which the dentist refused to do. The second for an orthodontics consultation—which I was told once I got there would have to be a separate appointment. I should have been told when I called those wouldn’t be done, instead they wasted my time and money on an appointment that was unnecessary.

Ok I want to say I give more than 5 stars to them there the most amazing place to go for your children they were all very nice all the employees were very nice and there job was 💯 recommend the dentist was very nice and explained everything they were doing

What a breath of fresh air compared to other dentist in Temple/Belton/Killeen. Staff is bright, well educated and honestly pleased you are there. The use of technology and state of the art equipment is excellent. The dentist was the capstone to a superior visit. I have never found being numbed to be pleasant. But I have to admit it wasn’t bad at all. Several of the sticks I felt nothing. I have found my home dentist at last.

I have received the most excellent care by everyone from both Dental and Ortho. They really do make you feel like you are part of their family! Super impressed and highly recommend!

Quick service. Our dentist is great. However, its our second visit and the dentist again recommended oral surgery to remove wisdoms that will be problematic.,. cool... Im on board... except the first time they said they would call to schedule, this time they only offered one date which wasnt good for us. When I asked for the next date available the response was oddly vague...probably some time in July of which I was fine just give me a date so I can schedule. But no.... Ill make a note to call you... just get the schedule and put us on it .. otherwise we like the dentist and dont plan on going anywhere. Also... beware of the push for orthodontics... very pushy!!

Waited an hour to be seen today but got to appointment 10 minutes early. Everyone else coming and going in on time. Finally got seen but reception dropped the ball. All that could be said was an unapologetic “sorry”. Second time I’ve had an issue at this place. First was a crown that was not received in the office but no one bothered to check if it was actually in the office before my daughter and I showed up for her appointment. Sat there that day for 45 minutes before they notified us it was not in the office. Wasted sick leave at work and taking my daughter out of school for nothing.

Excellent customer service all the staff members are very friendly, I will highly recommend this Dental office.

Edited to add: It took 2 months, but I Have now been credited for this visit. I had an emergency situation and had a wisdom tooth cracked in half and broken off. They were able to work me in the same day. Since I did not have my insurance card yet, they charged me cash. I did not mind since they assured me that they would reimburse it as soon as they had an insurance card and filed the claim. They eventually filed the insurance (after my second phone call with my insurance card information) and received payment (2 months ago!) from the insurance company. I have now asked for a reimbursement 3 times and am still waiting. This past week, I called and she assured me it would be credited back to my debit card and that I had a credit for the past 2 months in my account. Of course, it has not been credited back to me and I prefer to not go back to them for any future dental work. If you choose them, have them file insurance even if you do not have your card yet. My insurance company told me they only needed to call to file it that day. I should never have been charged when I was fully covered with Delta Dental.
