As someone who previously was employed with Charter, the backing company behind Spectrum I have knowledge as to how the company operates. All Spectrums have a protocol that they must follow in order to properly resolve issues or must escalate them to the proper channels in order for resolution. Many people are not fond of how they operate because they simply want fast gratification and refuse to align with properly set in place protocol. The employees in all the branches of customer service do their very best to provide an above average experience even in the midst of dealing hard to hear information about procedures and guidelines on how to resolve said issues. Just because a company doesn’t do things the way YOU want them to doesn’t make the policies and guidelines any less valid no matter how you try to insult the staff there. It simply reflects on your lack of maturity and depth of character. Almost any issue can be resolved if you handle it properly and trust the process, instead of being degrading towards people doing their best to help you to the best of their ability. Also upon rereading the review I am responding to, why on earth would you leave property you are financially liable for? Seems a tad counterintuitive to your cause and would have caused more confusion and less resolution.

My daughter ordered an iPhone Mini in the store. They had one but the lady couldn’t figure out how to get it to work so she said they would have to order one. My wife was going to pay for it in-full in the store. My wife said the lady who took the order was acting very suspicious, including hand-writing the receipt.When my daughter received the phone she opened it. Apple doesn’t make it easy to figure out what model of phone you have. It’s in tiny writing on the back of the box. As soon as she noticed it was the wrong model she stopped. When we called, they said because she had “opened” it she would have to pay the re-stocking fee of $50. There was no exception, even though this was clearly an issue that Spectrum had created when they ordered the wrong phone.We decided that since the store is where the mistake occurred that we should try to resolve the situation there. What a mistake. The lady tried to help at first, although when we explained the situation her first instinct was to go on the defensive. “Don’t blame me,” she said, “I didn’t do this.”I handed her the phone. She attempted to swap out the phones but eventually said she couldn’t do it because the phone was shipped from the warehouse. I said we should just leave the phone here. You’ve already taken it from us. She handed the phone to my wife after saying several times she, “couldn’t be responsible for our property.” When I asked my wife, “why did you take it back?” The salesperson immediately insulted me, almost yelling at me, “you need to grow up, sir!” Even though I wasn’t even addressing her at this point. I then pointed out that Spectrum was being very shady and, as she walked to the back, I asked for her name. She said under her breath as she walked through the door, I kid you not, “Karen.” All was explained at that point.Do not go here. The tech support for the internet was actually really helpful. We spoke to two different gentlemen who were very understanding. Even the call-center for the mobile billing department were polite, even if they couldn’t fix the problem caused by this location. They staff here seem to be poorly trained and have no customer service skills whatsoever.

A sales rep came to our business at the beginning of the year and we asked him if there were any setup/additional fees we needed to be aware I’m of and he told us no. The flier he handed out had no mention of the $99 setup fee. I could care less about the $100 I lost but it really is frustrating when the salesmen lie straight to your face. We called and tried to deal with the sales rep(OJ) at least 10 times. He kept saying he would take care of it and he never did. He never follows us either. We dropped the spectrum business and will more than likely drop our personal home services as well because we value businesses with integrity and good customer service.

This store literally sits around and does nothing while they have a line of customers waiting to get helped. They also have a really rude worker (Caucasian girl frizzy hair). She gets an attitude with all customers for no reason. If she doesnt like helping people find a job that doesnt involve customer service.

I started out with Spectrums TV/Internet Bundle. Our relationship did not start on good footing. You install the service yourself - and when I encountered problems, I had to call and wait forever for someone to drag me though a tedious set of prompts and resetting. After several hours of frustration, I was told they needed to send out a technician. The technician arrived the next day and was very helpful. The issue was that the local store gave me the wrong equipment. The technician provided the correct equipment and all was good... for awhile. The first year with Spectrum wasnt horrible, but there were some issues with occasional channel freezing. The fix was to reset the cable/DVR box. After the first year, I had to reset the cable/DVR box almost every time I turned on the TV.... and to add insult to injury- my bill went through the roof. They claimed that I still had the introductory offer, but my bill had almost doubled. The list of additional charges for my cable service was as much as the service alone....there were a plethora of additional fees and taxes. I still have their internet service, but only because there is not another provider in my area. The internet actually works pretty good - so I give them 2 stars, but I dislike SPECTRUM, because they charge too much for marginally adequate cable service and theyre not transparent on pricing- especially after the promotion ends. At the prompting of one of Spectrums own customer service agents, I switched to streaming. I get better channels - no miscellaneous fees, no DVR fee, no DVR recording fee, no cable box to reset and no channel freezing.

Just switched to the Spectrum Mobile and love it. Very reliable, I travel all over Texas and half the time Im in the middle of no where and I STILL have service. Plus the 2 guys that helped me were awesome and very friendly

The router at the house was over 6 years old and has been giving up lately, I called spectrum and the lady over the phone was courtesies and very respectful and helped me with my problems on a timely manner, so we schedule a reservation to go in and pick up an upgraded router for free here at the temple store. as soon as we walked into the store the only employee yelled in a demeaning tone telling us to put on a mask or get out, now i understand if he asked politely saying sorry sir if you can please put on a mask its company policy, I do not have a mask I dont own any in my truck, it is not mandatory in Texas to wear one, now i dont try to start a conversation with someone with the intent to start an argument i try to resolve it nicely because thats how i would want someone else to behave towards me in my bad spots but this kid was off the bat being disrespectful and trying to be tough, hes wearing a mask a full glass plate helmet and a plexiglass wall between us so there should of been no problem on that issue i said we can work outside ill stay out and he could hand me what i need and well work together on this problem, no issues the kid then scoffed at me and said well you have to sign paper work so thats not gonna happen, keep in mind the kid does not even know why im here or what im trying to do. nonetheless im disappointed in the professionalism of this companys representative and face of that store no longer will i go there or recommend it to anyone i know what should of been a 5 minute ordeal turned into a distasteful experience.

Would give ZERO stars if that were an option. Customer service in store and over the phone has continuously been sub par. Can’t tell you how many times the internet has gone out. And at least twice a month, often times more than that, the cable guide won’t work and have to reboot the system. I finally cancelled all my services with them and took my business elsewhere. Why keep paying $220 ish a month when MULTIPLE TIMES EVERY MONTH THERE’S AN ISSUE!

UPDATE: It was rocky at first however, Since the last review I want to make sure the review is honest and fair and up to date. We have not had any major issues since then. The company is always helpful via customer service line and they ensure your internet is working or they will dispatch a technician. Overall our experience has been great. Very seldom we have to reset the modem and router.So far our internet has crashed twice in less than a month. Recently moved in the area. First time the router stopped working altogether. It took us an hour waiting on the phone to finally be able to speak to an agent. Finally after two days we were able to get a technician and had the router replaced. Second, (two weeks later) we called to have the router and modem changed to a different location in the house. Technician came and did install the equipment in the office, however couldn’t he organize the wiring and cords that connected to the router and modem? It was a mess. With issues continuing to happen and internet crashing trying to reset the modem constantly I fear this will be an issue when I’m starting to work from home. I Strongly recommend you do your research. If I continue to have these issues I’ll definitely take action to get a more reliable company for services. I’m definitely keeping potential costumers updated.

Spectrum Temple has a new check-in system, on a screen close to the door. Wait times no more than 10 min at a busy time of day - 4:30 PM. Helpful and courteous sales and service person! They come to get you, rather than calling out your name. Technician coming tomorrow: thankful for 2 hr window of time to expect them.

Paid for 100mb but only got 20-30mb service. Called them to discuss and was told there were no issues in my area. Went to Grande for 30mb service for half the price and am delighted with the service. Canceled spectrum and was told would get final bill. No further communication till 3 months later when a collection service called for return of equipment. Poor way to finalize customer experience. Would not recommend Spectrum internet.

Recently moved and transferred my service. Always on auto draft and about 3 months in, I look and notice I am being charged for both houses. My transfer was set up as a new service. After, no exaggeration, at least 5-10 hours on the phone and many many calls, it finally got sorted out. Have no idea why I would possibly have to go through so many calls and people for someone to finally do it right. Every time I would call, they would say the person before didnt do something right. Finally had enough so I cancelled. Supposedly. My service was supposed to end on the 29th. Went in and returned my equipment, the day before my service was to end, and got promised even if they didnt do it right on the phone, as soon as they returned my equipment in the system it would automatically cancel my service. We are talking someone on the phone cancelling it and the guy at the store doing the same. So yesterday I get a bill for my service NEXT MONTH. Are you kidding me. So once again, another hour on the phone and going back up to the store it is supposed to be cancelled. If it is not, I 100% will be contacting my company attorney and suing spectrum for my time and stress. By far the worst company I have ever dealt with.

Just got off the phone with a Jason. I went over having fraudulent activity on my bank account so I called in to ensure everything was okay. I spoke with 2 reps who said my account was current. When I looked at my bank account online the payment was in fact returned. No notification to me of this from Spectrum. I made a payment from a different bank account over the phone during the call. 2 more attempts on the old account from a Charter Communication. Jason told me that wouldnt have happened if I had told reps to stop any future attempts. I fumed telling him that cant be my burden if I dont know future attempts would be made despite my payment, additionally I dont have visibility to what reps are seeing on their end! He advised me they would not do anything about the issues or fees associated with the multiple attempts and the only person being rude and condescending on the was me. Apparently calls arent recorded and customer service isnt a verb for them.

While the staff is always very pleasant, the wait time to just pay my bill is ridiculous. The kiosk to electronic pay didnt work because it required a password I never had and it wouldnt give me one. People are nice, but I wanted mobile service today, not next week, so I drove the 17 minutes from Belton to the store to get a Sim card today. However, the system wouldnt allow the guy to give me a card in store so he had to order me one snail mail at 2 to 3 business days which I could have done this morning from home. Then, he charged me $10, instead of being free as it said online, plus the $ for gas I spent round trip and no phone service til maybe next Monday since its already Wed at 6:30pm. *Sigh*

Cheats and Cons. Had to give 1 star or they would not post. Finally had enough of high pricing and bad TV reception and decided to cancel TV service. The bill was due today but covered 2 weeks in the future. They do not pro rate so we would still owe the full monthly bill, I said OK Ill be back the day before and cancel at that time. Sorry, we already turned it off and you would owe another month payment to have it activated. Cheats and Cons, I have paid for something Im not getting. Spectrum is a farce, it should be called Rectum because thats where theyre going to stick you.

Been having an absolute nightmare experience with Spectrum for the past couple weeks. I, along with about 15 other residents, have all moved into new townhouses in Temple Texas on Berkshire Dr. Unfortunately, spectrum has been extremely slow at actually coming out and installing all the proper lines and equipment needed to get service in our new neighborhood. We have roughly 15 people all waiting to pay spectrum money and obtain services through them, but they’ve shown absolutely zero desire to do what they need to do to make that happen. The property management company LVRMGT in Temple, TX, has shown us multiple instances of them asking spectrum to please come out and do the proper installations and set-ups, but someone at spectrum is CONTINUOUSLY dropping the ball. Hoping our property management company decides to go a different avenue and utilize a different internet/cable provider, because this has been a very worrying display of work ethic from spectrum. Hopefully, they get it together..

At first, Spectrum promised me they were going to give me a great service. But after a few months passed, the service went out the window. If the internet was off during the weekend. The person you spoke to about fixing it was someone from India. All the answer given was to send out a technician to evaluate the situation. Then they would blame the router and try to convince me to purchase a new one. No problem was ever fixed till a day or two had passed and then finally the service was fixed. Never got an Im sorry or an optional lowered bill for no service. But yet they wanted a great review. NOT!

Easy in and out in the middle of a weekday. Got the promotion rate and post promotion rate, so no surprises in a year. Walked out with the equipment and plugged it in when I got home. They tried to upsale me, but were not pushy or rude. Better experience than turning in my equipment for my old service.

A technician from Spectrum came to install my internet on 2/24. Initially he was unable to figure out how the underground cables were run and the builder of the home had to show him that they run underground. After that, the tech pulled the cables and snapped them in half. These were the underground cables that run from the tap in the yard. I called spectrum and was told maintenance would be out the next day to repair them but it could take up to 3 days. I followed up after 3 days and was told it could be 7-10 more business days. I followed up again the following week and was told that maintenance came out and there was no tap. They closed my initial ticket with no communication to me about what the issue was, no confirmation that they addressed the issue, and no notification that the ticket was closed. I explained to them that the tap was in the front yard and that the original tech was working in it when he broke the lines, so obviously there is a tap there. They sent me to maintenance who told me it would be another 7 business days but that they would expedite it and have it done in 3-4 days. I followed up once again and was told that I needed to go back to serviceability. Once again my ticket was closed with no communication to me. I explained that there is a tap and I’ve already spoken with serviceability and was told service was not an issue, maintenance just needs to repair the lines that a SPECTRUM EMPLOYEE broke. I was told again it could be 7 business days. I have called in at least 5 tickets at this point with no resolution. Each ticket has been closed with no communication to me. Dispatch called me tonight, left a voicemail to a number that doesn’t go to their department, and told me to call back. After calling the number they left, I’m told I can’t call dispatch and they will try calling me again. On every ticket I’ve called in, dispatch has not once tried multiple times to reach me despite promises from customer service that they will do so. I am paying for a security system and online streaming that can’t be used. I work from home and have to pay to work at coffee shops daily. This is unacceptable and Spectrum can’t seem to fix or take seriously the problem THEY caused by having an incompetent tech come to install my internet. I will say that the customer service team is extremely kind and help to the best of their abilities, however the maintenance, dispatch, and technicians can’t seem to do their job and get this fixed. If I had any other choices for internet service, I would switch in a heartbeat. I will NEVER recommend Spectrum to anyone! With the exception of customer service, they have been a nightmare to deal with. At this point I don’t have high hopes that I will ever have internet service in my home.

The internet service I have is consistently strong and works great. Whats NOT great is the personal service they provide. They CONSTANTLY raise prices. You will never know what youll be paying in a few months and it will always go up.I am hopeful that well have other choices some day.

Then see bottom of next page to click on form or a form may open. File over the internet, its easy.The complaint is called an informal complaint. The FCC sends the complaint to Spectrum and Spectrum must reply within 30 days. The FCC will send you a confirmation and a follow up. Its important you complain to FCC. Complaints can cause a cable company difficulty when wishing to expand, increase rates or buy another cable company. Consumer Advocate groups use this information to advocate for consumers. The informal complaint is your only option to resolve your issue. Tell others they are not totally helpless against a mega giant. If you have a problem please submit a FCC complaint!

DO NOT USE SPECTRUM. I signed up on a promotion over the summer that was supposed to last 12 months. I was then charged a fee they didnt tell me about, and then my monthly price was raised 3 months in. When I called to ask about why I was being charged a price that I didnt originally agree to, customer service was incredibly rude and made it out to be my fault. One person said all packages went up in price and another said it was a router fee, even though I was told my original price included the router fee. Bottom line, I was told a price, they raised the price, and NO ONE seemed to understand what was wrong with that. Horrible customer service and greedy billing practices. Avoid if at all possible!

My experience with Time Warner has been fairly good. Not sure how or why all these people are having bad experiences because I had service for a while but had to cancel because of a move. Canceling was easy and only took a few minutes. Luckily (and after several emails and correspondence) TWC is hooked up in our area. Maybe being courteous on the phone actually does go a long way....

I have to use Spectrum because of my area, but I would change Internet providers if I could. Their Field Techs are wonderful, helpful and nice. Some of the people I have spoken to in the office when I call have been nice, but not all. My main complain is my constant issues with the service itself. The equipment is junk, I have had my router replaced 3 times and the newest modem they have has cause me nothing but trouble. I downgraded to the older modem per advice from the field tech and was having no issues till a small storm caused issues with it. They changed the modem and put back in the newest model and Im back to wanting to pull my hair out and cuss someone out. Now as a disabled person with no transportation I am going to have to find a ride to their building to take this pog modem and exchange it back to the older model just so I can enjoy my games again. I never had this problem with AT&T and damn sure not spending an extra $25 a month with Spectrum to try and get the same uninterrupted service I was getting before with AT&T. I love where I live but at ty his point Id rather move just to get out of the Spectrum only service area. I will not recommend using Spectrum, and pray for the day I can get service with someone else.

When we switched to Spectrum they gave us sub par equipment and I always had issues with it. When we ask for updated equipment it was newer, but not the latest. We always have to unplug our boxes and there where always issues. Of course it takes forever for it to reboot. Then they never mentioned the lower priced latest boxes. We never had good service with this company. Then on top of that they wanted to charge me to have their people come out and change it out. This is for the sub par equipment that we already pay for. Where is the good service they talk about on their commercials? Then to top it off the last customer solutions representative never apologies for Spectrums shortcomings.We canceled our cable...our internet will be next.

If I could give them anything less than a one star than I would. Ive had them for about two years now, and it has been nothing but problems. When you have internet the speed varies on speed. HOWEVER, you can expect to lose internet connection at least every hour or two. Sometimes its out for a minute and then other times it is out for ten to twenty minutes. I would go with anyone before Spectrum.

I was charged for three months of services when the box wasnt working. I cant recommend this company. the customer service and technical support gave me erroneous information which caused me to be charged for services after I turned in the cable boxes.

Health Care business in Temple without internet for over a week. Multiple calls for fix service still being pushed to the side as we are not a priority. This company has gone down hill. Do not recommend this company at all. Think about if your loved one needed medical attention and no one was able to assist due to computer system down. That is our situation.

Service was the worst I have ever had. It was very easy to get service they offer a propmp and everything to get my signed on. After that was done I had a miscommunication with one of the agent and when I called to get it taken off they charged me for the service at least two months after. Now they want their money and will take away my promo for the internet. This company is for sure a scammer.

I think sense Charter took over two its to high, and they dont want to give out good deals,what they charge one house hold for cable is not right, think about how many people are in the world and have cable,they dont offer any discounts for people who live off one check a month, that are on disability and pay there bills,and I dont get 30 GB of data and pay for it last time it was checked by there tech it was 24 GB.

Ive been with Time Warner for years and have always had issues. I would have left a long time ago but never had an options available to be able to do so. They constantly raised my bills, when I called to reduce, they reduce temporarily and when I Threatened to leave is when they seemed to care. I called 2 weeks ago asking again why my bill increased $30 from one month to the next. they told me they couldnt do anything. They told me that switching me to spectrum would only increase my bill so I decided to look elsewhere. A day later, I get a door hanger from Grande so I called to initiate an account. I called spectrum to cancel my account and they try and talk me into staying and I told them that Ive already been through this and was told you dont do bundles anymore to lower my bill and this guy told me that was a mistake that they could in fact lower my bill back to my original amount. I told him that I was done with this company and refused his offer. I dont recommend this company to anyone

Time warner Cable, for as much money as we pay for your service, PLEASE provide us with a remote control with real buttons to press instead of these cheap, spongy buttons basically impossible to press with accuracy! Get rid of these cheap remotes! We want one we can use easily!

So, when I initially call Time Warner, they tell me that my area hasnt had service before so they need to send a tech out to see if Im serviceable. I asked how long that would take and the rep told me 24-48 hours. And that if Im serviceable, I should have internet shortly after. The tech came and said we were serviceable. So Im like, okay, awesome. Then they set another appointment for another tech to come and connect the Internet. Its been almost two weeks since the initial conversation. So when the tech came, he knocks on my door and says We cant connect the Internet because the area is not serviceable. -__- Two weeks of no internet for no results. TIME WARNER SUCKS.

Terrible.Comcast, then Xfinity, and now Spectrum...Ever wonder why all the name changes? Because people hate this company. Horrible customer service, just atrocious. If you are having a fantastic day and want to be in a bitter foul and angered mood, just drop by for about 5 mimutes.
