Tried to get new service, when the technician showed up he gave me this sob story about how it was to hot to go in the attic and ask if he could reschedule for an early morning appointment. Trying to be a responsible human I agreed. I sat at home from 8AM - 12PM and no one showed up. When called to find what was going on they just wanted to reschedule it for sometime between 1PM and 8PM. I’m sorry but giving up my whole day after being rescheduled once is completely unacceptable.
Most days I am fine with Grande. But when their service is down, as it is today, they do nothing but lie. You can NEVER speak to a real person who speaks decent English. You normally get their cheery robo-tool who promises service restoration at 7:30. At 8:00, you call again. She promises restoration at 11:30. This morning, I call and restoration is promised by 9:30. We shall see. My contract is for fast, reliable service 24/7/365. Hardly.
I talked to Jeremiah before my move and he was friendly and professional. He asked about my needs then provided me with choices and prices. The installer Larry was very nice and professional as well and worked to accommodate our requests. This has been a very pleasant process. Jeremiah also followed up after the install to make sure all went well. Great experience
Grande is an Internet company, and so it seems they are required to be at least a bit customer-unfriendly sometimes. Its been the same with Spectrum and Comcast (both of those being WAY worse).The good news: For me, Grande has had the best uptime of any ISP I have been with. Their tech support is decent, too. Their prices are about average or even a bit low, and they offer very fast speeds.The bad news: Like all ISPs, they cannot resist the urge to attempt to price gouge you after your initial deals expire. But if you are persistent, you can keep decent rates. But WHY do they do this? It makes customers hate them. If I was not literally required to use them by my apartment complex I might have dropped them recently.TLDR: Grande is a so-so ISP that could be a very good ISP if they merely decided to do so.
I have had grande for a lil over a year and the internet is the wirst i have ever had . It faithfully go out every night around same time and it do ni goid to call ynless you want to wait forever on line. They never want to compensate you for lost internet time . And i know i am not getting what i pay for . Ugh just sad
This company has been pretty horrible to deal with and they consistently take longer than 10-15 mins to get someone on the phone/chat/text. The internet package I pay for is 600 mbps and has been running at less than 100-150 mbps. They have not compensated the cost to match the lower mbps plans either.They say the only way they can assess it is to send out a tech but they offer limited availability and times only during work hours (so have to take off time from work, lose money, to wait for them for hours). Then the tech didn’t even show up (but the appointment was marked as completed on my account) and the dispatch company was even worse to talk to than Grande. So far they still have not shown up and the dispatch said they meaning Grande “just scheduled it for tomorrow” without even consulting with me (meaning I would have to take more time off to be here for their/their techs mistake).I would strongly discourage using them if you don’t have someone who stays at home with nothing to do to deal with this company.
They offer internet service in rural areas. The service is reliable and most of the time super fast. Their customer service text also are very sociable, and attentive to the needs of their patrons.
Their customer service is the rudest and most inefficient. When you call with a problem and youre already upset its not their job to see if they can make you angrier by the end of the call! They succeeded this time. Im upset angry and now considering switching providers just because of this. When your job is to listen to customers all day try your best to take enjoying it, because when it comes to your business youll lose money fast with people like that working for you. So irritating.

Dont use their service just stick with Spectrum. Ive had nothing but problems with the internet and phone for a year now. They came out yesterday switched out the modem and the internet is worst then it was before now I have to restart the modem multiple times a day just to have it work. Luckily Spectrum will be taking it back over next week.

I pay a lot for the top of the line internet with grande, last time it went down the tech told me they issued the wrong modem for my level of service. that modem finally burnt out and i exchanged it today.. got another one that cant handle my level of internet needs. Trying to get a tech out but message says it could cost up to $79 bucks to fix their mess up. being a network tech i know that if the wrong tech shows up its very likely the problem will be misdiagnosed. during my 1 hour wait to talk to somebody the message is trying to sell me a plan to fix my internet. i think it stinks that we now live in a time where products you purchase dont have to work and your expected to pay extra to be sure it works.
I switched from another provider because Grande had better prices. Jeremiah helped me out and made the process very easy, he was very professional and responsive.
Jeremiah came knocking on my door asking about my cable and wifi & I’m so grateful he was doing his job that day. I was having trouble with my previous company and Jeremiah took the time to help me understand what i didn’t and switch over to grande. He made it an easy process for us and I love it. He even helped set up another appointment when we missed ours. He really goes above and beyond for his customers. I couldn’t be happier. I definitely recommend Grande! Super fast wifi & fancy cable.
Good lord where do we start. The only reason I even have this trash service is because they are the ONLY option. If spectrum was available id switch over in a heartbeat. The service turns off for no reason randomly. You CAN NOT contact the office because for some reason a communications company does not have a phone so you have to speak to someone out of state that doesnt know whats wrong aside from theres an outage in your area. The last one I spoke to was in North Carolina. They never know why its off and can never tell you how long its going to be off. The last time it was out because it snowed 3 inches and was off for a week. The Facebook page assured everyone that their bills would be compensated for the inconvenience. It wasnt. If you can afford it then go with 4G LTE if a real internet provider is not available.

Their rates are very expensive and keeps going up with no notice or explanation. Their internet has been very spotty at best. The cable often freezes and needs to be reset.
Grande is my internet provider and always will be. Why, their Technicians are incredible. They are the reason I say with the company. Professional, have technical chops to engage at any level of user, go the extra mile - EVERY TIME. I hope the techs at our company perform as well as the Grande Techs.
When I got the services in April 2020 my bill was $40.58 now they are charging me $50.98 going up with no notice or explanation! My statements prove I been paying to much for their services. I had no other problems but this! I will be switching to another service provider this is ridiculous I will not stand by this!
Terrible company, if the building i lease wasnt under contract with them i wouldnt use their services. I travel alot and often out or the country. Online bill pay doesnt work, im expected to call and pay or chat with them which always takes about an hour. Watch your bills alwqys double check there are always fees they tack on
The service is not dependable. The customer service is nonexistent. We lost a full week of school and work ability due to an outage. Each time we called for an update the repair estimate was pushed back another 24 hours!
2.6 stars does not say good things about grande communication, my experience like others here we started paying 74 and now the payment is 98 and I call to pay the bill and they do not answer the calI, I do not know if they do it to collect the 15 dollars of charges or the payment system is really very bad, the good thing about grande is that I can change my internet provider 😡
I have been without internet for a week now, hence unable to work and earn money. Anytime I call Grande, I can’t speak to a person and I get a prerecorded message that they are aware of the outage and internet will be restored by 8 pm-every day. I even get the morning phone calls that report the internet service is restored, when it is NOT. Horrible horrible non existent customer service and lies
Recently moved out to Troy (last week in October) from Temple and chose Grande for the high speed internet they were able to provide. I work from home and need as much speed for uploads as I can get. Outside of one issue (self induced) within the first 2 weeks I have been up and running with no issues for last 3 months. I have been very happy with the service up to this last week. I understand about the weather and subsequent outage due to loss of power. I however dont understand not being able to get anyone on the phone for technical support once I was informed that internet had been restored but my internet is still not available. My ability to work is totally dependent on internet connection. Whether or not I choose to contact/choose an alternate provider will depend on next 2 days.
We have Grande in our home and we really enjoy it. They are a small company, but they are growing. I think they are doing a slow growth process in-order-to keep the service great. Wish they would open up to more locations, but in time. They would get 5-stars if their reach was a bit greater, but they still are a great company. I work from home and half the time I cant due to outages. Im paying for a service I cant use! They send out a tech to fix the issue that only works for a week then back to square one. I will be looking for a new provider!
For a week now we have had no internet access at our house.Grande claims they can see my modem but we cant get the internet. Two modems, same problem. In six hours of we still cant get on the internet, Spectrum will be called.
If you can avoid Grande Communications please avoid them. Their late fees are $15.00 and reconnect fee is $45.00. This is Ridiculous!!!!
In the beginning Grande came in and purchased my service area which was locked under a single company with terrible prices and Internet service speeds. Grande started me out with exactly what I needed, $21 a month for Internet service only. Now, I am paying about $70 for the same service I received 2 years ago. Common excuses are we no longer offer that plan, the cost of food has gone up and we are trying to provide the fastest speeds to you. I work in IT, I know what speeds I need, what service I need and how much it is truly worth. I used to test my transfer rates when the prices first increased and was getting around 18down 2 up but was sold 30down 10up. Key-points: shifting plans, 2x or 3x price increase in a short amount of time, service sold as expected not actual. If you are like me you have no choice if you want Internet because I have no other service options. If you have other options, you may wish to check them out first.
I cannot say enough good things about Grande at this point. The whole process of making the appointment to the installation was absolutely painless and extremely quick. My plans for installation with another company fell through on Saturday because their construction department had not done what they were supposed to do and could not tell me when the situation would be rectified. I was in a real bind because I was having my alarm installed on the following Monday, and I was starting school online the following Tuesday. both require WiFi. I called Grande and was instantly able to get set up for service and get an appointment for Monday. Alfredo, the tech, was punctual, knowledgeable, and worked very quickly and efficiently. He was very friendly and considerate. You guys are a lifesaver! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Just to let everyone know every single package they offer is a promotion and every year your cost will go up. We pay 74.00 after a year at the “$35” package which actually Comes out to be more like $54 after taxes + $20 after a year for the most basic plan. It’s ridiculously over priced for ZERO quality improvement 🤷🏼♀️ Also they are unwilling to help you find better pricing options and we didn’t even get a notice of the increase in money we now have to pay!

Had the basic package for 14 months and checked the billing list on a whim. I was surprised and confused to have changed nothing in the last few months on my account and yet my bill had increased from $59 to $75. Wondering why they decided to charge another $16 to my account, I called them.I was connected to someone after 2 tries and 20 minutes.A kind lady answered and explained that apparently if you sign up for Grande the price quoted to you by their site and reps is only a promotional price. I had no idea since its totally not disclosed and they seem to like keeping you uninformed or confused. It easier to take money from confused people. After 12 months they up your bill to the correct price that was never mentioned.Instead of one star I give them two because the kind lady reversed the extra charge for another 12 months since I wasnt informed about real price. *Puts on tinfoil hat* now that Ive noticed that theyve suddenly charged me more and they reversed it they hope Ill be more complicit. When it returns to the more expensive rate, a rate I never would have agreed to, Ill not say anything. Since theyve been so nice Ill totally pay another $16 because their customer service is so good! Its just how much the service REALLY cost after-all.I will NOT be complicit! TWO STARS
In December 2019 our bill was only $69. In January, they hiked their prices and started charging us $71.81. This month, another price increase raising our bill to $83 per month. So I called Grande Communications and I spoke with a gentleman going by the name of James. I asked him why my bill has gone up so much. He said it went up in January because thats when they do their annual price hike and then it went up again because apparently I had a promotion, and that it had expired. I was never told that the price they gave me was only a promotion. But thats besides the point. When I told him that price was outrageous he said, we are a for profit business. I could have done without his snarky, demeaning response. I Understand that businesses are for profit. However, I find it very shallow of Grande Communication to raise their bill during these times. Put the pandemic aside and it is still unreasonable to have two rate increases within a 4 month period. I will seek out a more affordable internet company (for profit) that does not slap the consumer with constant rate hikes or promotions that expire. I just want a reasonable rate!After going back and forth my bill waa reduced by only $10 a month. Then, my service began buffering to the point that we could not do anything. A Tech came out and they replaced the line from our house to the Box and told us we were at the end of the grid said this was the best service we could expect. It worked for maybe a month and now again to day another Tech came out and said we basically have 0 signal and the Box was only made for 2 households yet there are 4 households connected to the same Box. Are you kidding me! I am now being told by the Tech, Jason, that they will have to upgrade it and that should happen tonight. We shall see, I am not hopeful! I am lowering my review to negative stars, if only that were an option! Oh, and if you have to call expect a long wait. I was on hold for over 30 minutes again. So Grande, please do not give me another link to customer service that is virtually worthless! How about just fixing my service and stop increasing my bill.

The WORST internet I have ever had. It drops constantly and is out more than it works. My husband and I have complained multiple times so they sent someone out. He went all through our house and the attic to fix the issue. He even said while he was here it has dropped over 5,000 times. The service call and whatever he did absolutely did NOT work because it still drops 5+ times in a 10 minute window. I cant even stream internet at this point. Absolute waste of money.
I would not recommend Grande Communications. It is impossible to get in contact with a live person. Their automated phone service is the most ridiculous system I have had to deal with. I just want to speak to a live person about my bill, but unfortunately with Grande this is impossible. I will be changing providers.

Was on hold for 30 minutes before a rep answered. Then we stayed on the phone with a rep for 90 minutes being put on hold many times to then bne hung up on when trying to finish the deal. Worse customer service ever. I was helping an elderly man out with his high cable bill of $300. Totally being ripped off. Check your employees and your lack of customer service.
They are sooooooo much better than Spectrum, as least in terms of internet services. The tech was super nice and installed everything quickly!! The only reason I didnt give a 5 star rating is the speed isnt nearly as fast as advertised, but its much faster than spectrum, and at a significanly lower rate. I had to call customer service, and the reps i have spoken to were far more polite than spectrums. I am very happy we switched!!
I am very happy with Grande so far. Karen was very helpful at office.I returned some equipment. I decided I no longer wanted TV. Very easy seamless process everybody is very helpful. Unlike other providers that I used for over 20 years.

She is very rude, disrespectful and most of all unprofessional her behavior is not acceptable clearly she doesnt have the tool to be in leadership. Grande Communications services is HORRIBLE and then when you call in you have to deal with individual like her doesnt represent grande as business well. Im requesting that she be terminated or be demoted from her position immediately. Sadly they force you to give them one star when they definitely dont deserve it......They force you to give them a one star rating.

Just got internet from them yesterday and the internet hasn’t worked at. I’ve called all there support lines and have even tried there online chat but no one has responded or answered my calls. I thought spectrum was bad but at least they worked. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go with grande. Bad products and horrible service.
Theyve been great. Easy to pay and communicate (unlike AT&T). Bought our own router and tech support was available any time to get it set up.
Lags they never FIX problems they just replace routers hope it works 3 days later back to square 1 broken internet

Uptime and throughput is better than spectrum. However, when theres congestion youll notice it. I use a device to check the connection multiple times per day and report outages. After a 1.5years Ive only had a few instances where my fail-over connection called into action by router. My connection is now faster and cheaper than what the other scumbags provided when there was no choice

Going middle of road for stars because the internet is great and very reasonably priced. Now the TV service is WAY OVERPRICED and the apps on the TIVO are SLOW opening, was waiting from 3 to 5 minutes for Netflix to open, and I had to adjust my audio receivers lipsync delay WAY up to have decent audio and then reset it to zero when I use my DVD or computer. And as others stated I was quoted a price of @$180.00 for the package and they billed me much more $220.02 so ALL the TV stuff went back after the first month as I am NOT spending that amount of money for TV and old equipment, $180.00 per month after taxes and surcharges!!!!! WOW
Theyre better than spectrum as far as Internet speed and connectivity, but WOW AFTER my first month bill. That $69 a month bundle, tv and 600mbps internet for a new customer, turned into $154 a month the following month.Lets break this down for before you sign up. Because they are not gonna tell you this.$15 a month for digital tv service/ tvio rentalBroadcast TV Surcharge $18.42Sports Programming Surcharge $16.39Entertainment Networks Surcharge $15.60 and whatever taxes.So over $70-75 in surcharges added to your bill. I got rid of spectrum and direct tv so this still came out a little cheaper. SO BEFORE YOU SIGNUP thats what your really going to be charged.

We signed up with Grande after Spectrum kept raising their rates on wifi/internet, their customer service was excellent and we have no problems with connections.
Ive had nothing but issues while trying to get my service transferred! No one seems to care that your sitting at home waiting all day for a tech that never shows up... this is my 3rd time this week someone was suppose to show up my appointment was from 1-5pm & its now 5:40 and no one has called it came by. Ive tried to call them to check on the status only to be told they have to send an email to dispatch to get the status, its been a week since they sent the email & I still have no service! Whats the point of even paying my bill this month if I cant use it! If someone else offered service where I lived Id be quick to switch but I guess until then Ill be stuck with crappy service!

Customers service is horrible and they lie to you. Tried to work with my account but they say no etc and supervisor says they could have and they dont know why the customer service rep could not help me but not its to late. I have tried and tried but they will not work with you.
I went with this service because it provided high speed internet at an affordable price. The price has gone up every month and I am now paying almost twice the initial cost. I am wondering if there is a stopping point or if it just keeps going up until you get priced out and decide to go with someone else.
Billing is awful. I was supposed to be credited my account since we were new customers and was told they would do so. After a few bills with not being credited that amount and paying the monthly services that were supposed to be paid they cut off my service for the credit they were supposed to apply. I called and was told they wouldn’t credit my account. So I cancelled my services and they lost a paying customer over that small amount they wouldn’t credit!! Ridiculous company.
Mid September i tried to have internet installed took til the 3rd of october to tell me my house wasnt serviceable. November 4th im told for the second time itll be 72 hr process and up to 5 business days to get my deposit back

The only reason we have Grande is because when we first moved here we werent sure who to go with. Our internet service is absolutely terrible and the cable is constantly jammed up. Its always causing delays and we just recently had a technician come out to exchange our boxes, he was cocky and sure of himself yet now a week later we are experiencing even worse than before. One box can perform the VIDEO ON DEMAND while the main box cant do anything. Definitely switching to spectrum, this company is terrible. I wish I could post Video of how our cable is but unfortunately I cant. But when watching any show, especially when recorded its .. like.....ma..maybe...o..almo..a..most..almost ju..sst..a..s.as. bad...as. re....read...readin..ing. this..r..rev..review. which means the internet connection we have with them sucks even more
So I was originally with Spectrum for my internet. My bill was $50 a month. I just moved a mile down the road to a new apartment complex and Spectrum unfortunately doesn’t cover this area. The only company that does is Grande... we haven’t even gotten our internet yet and I’m already more than unsatisfied with them. 1. You can’t pick up the equipment to install and set everything up. Now I’m falling behind on school work because I have no internet. 2. You have to pay a monthly fee to use the equipment. Which is absolutely ridiculous when almost all the competitors out there don’t do that.3. My estimated bill is expected to cost me more than my Spectrum bill even though I went with their cheapest package which is the slowest speeds. 4. All these reviews are extremely discouraging. I’m honestly preparing myself to have the worst WiFi ever.I feel like they need to do a better job at competing with the better companies out there. This is just absolutely ridiculous.

So we made our payment, got charged double...called grande to return one of the payments, never heard anything back then all of a sudden our internet gets shut off. We called grande who informs us that their financial department reversed both charges and somehow thats our fault? They lied and said they restored our service while they look into it and they havent. Terrible customer service and they are talking about charging late fees as well as reconnect fees on something that THEY screwed up. Unbelievable!!

Let me say first that I am suppose to be paying for 600 mbps. That is definitely not the speed I am receiving. The only reason I am with them is because my apartment complex doesnt have anyone else to service the area but Im working on changing that. I had some one come out for 5 mins and say everything is fine and then bill me almost 60 dollars. Internet is constantly slow and buffering. Go with anyone other than grande communications.
I have the fastest speed that they offer because everything in my home connects to the internet. I have to constantly call in to have a signal sent to the modem to reset the internet. The price has increased by at least 1/3 but the product/service has decreased drastically. My modem was changed when the technician came out and now it seems like my internet service became even slower. Im to the point to where Im just going to disconnect the internet service and use the hot spot from my cellphone provider until I can find a reliable internet provider.
They quote one price then charge you another. Originally my service was quoted at 185, then 220, and once I recieved the bill it was 310. I called and asked them to correct it they refused and so I cancelled and now Spectrum is giving me more channels than they offered for 185 a month. Dont waste your time with this company and their bait and switch businesses practices. I feel like Ive been robbed and can do nothing about it.
They bought out centrovision and immediately raised the price and lowered the speeds. I never get the speed i pay for and was forced to get a higher speed to make up for it. They raised the price again earlier this year as well. Ive had to have technicians come to the house multiple times just to have the same issue as soon as they leave. Overall, a HORRIBLE company

I had issues with grande in the past and eventually I left grande for A T & T. A T & T was absolutely the worst on many different levels and I went back to grande after 3 months.When I came back grande sent out a great technician by the name of Josh grace who finally fixed my original Internet issues. He was very thorough and professional. I have had zero issues since Josh came out and couldnt be happier.
