I got my car back from them in a worse condition. Somehow they managed to make my overheating issue way worse, so it probably did extra damage to my engine driving home, then back to their shop. After this experience I looked at their reviews on google, and there was a guy who mentioned that they gave his car back with no coolant in it. I believe the same thing happened to me. Since then, I had the coolant refilled, and its been back to the condition it was before my visit to this place. Well, almost. They did a block test and pressure test on my car, I was told no coolant flush was performed so I struggle to understand how my coolant level went down while it was in their garage. It was an OK level 2 days before I went in there (didnt drive it much between checking it and going in for my appointment with pep boys). This was my worst experience at an auto repair place in the last 13 years. The manager seemed professional, but whoever worked on my car was a nincompoop, to put it nicely. They just made up excuses, didnt want to admit they did anything wrong. Bottom line, I dont have to be a mechanic to notice that the issue I brought my car in with got significantly worse while the car was under pep boys care.

Really excellent service. The only disadvantage is they dont answer the phone. After they texted us on what needed done to fix all they seen wrong. We tried to call them back to tell them fix it all. But they never answered the call. They lost out on 2 more tires and shocks. Oh well.

I came here in a bit of a panic with a screw in my tire. We were just hours from packing up to move to a different state and I had a two-week old at home. Alex made time to squeeze me in for a tire replacement despite the busy day. What’s more, they discovered the screw didn’t ruin the tire and all was okay. I tried to pay him something as a thank you but he wouldn’t accept. Stand up crew - would go there again!

Always come here for my oil changes. Definitely call ahead of time to make an appointment to avoid long wait times. Also, Alex is always super pleasant and professional!

Pep Boys staff were very helpful and willing. Knowing that it wasnt my car but an Enterprise rental. It was business the way it should always be!

Dropped off a car for an oil change and to get the brakes serviced at 2:30pm. Currently sitting in the lobby at 5:30pm and it’s still not done.What a joke.

I brought my car to pep boys to have my brakes checked. They had been squeaking for awhile and I had taken my car somewhere else prior to them who wanted to charge me $500. Pep boys called me after inspecting my vehicle stating everything was in great condition and it was simply brake dust. They cleaned the brake dust for $0. No more squeaking and we’re honest with me. They saved me an unnecessary $500. I will definitely be coming back to this shop for my services.

Awesome customer service! Had brakes, rotors, filters, oil change, and two new tires lat minute. They told me it would probably be done the next day because how late I got there, and the amount of work needed to be done. I asked if they could try and finish it tonight. They told me theyll will do there best, but couldnt guaranty. Incredibly it was finished a few hours later. What a blessing since my job is working for Lyft. I will always bring my car to this location from now on, and you should to.

Normally come here fore tires and basic maintenance and never have a problem, but when my daughter went in they gave her an outrageous price for water pump,hoses,belt and some other stuff around 2500, went to another shop and was quoted 1300 for same stuff and we replaced the radiator as well and it was still under 2000.

Honestly... you said you rotated my tires and it was on the paperwork but I know for a fact you didnt. My front left was a tire put on by a Pep boys in Prescott and it is still in the same spot after my visit. Looks like I will have to take my car elsewhere and let the Fleet Maintenance people know to no longer use you.

Went in for a brake light bulb issue. Bob and Robert were both exceptionally nice and knowledgeable about the issue, and turned out to be the wrong bulb I had in. It didnt take more than a half hour to troubleshoot the issue. Highly recommend this place!edit: Changed from 3 to 5 stars after a recent visit.

Had an awesome experience here before a big trip to TX. Car overheated and explained to Bob what I experienced, he was able to explain to me exactly what happened and how he would fix it before even assessing the vehicle. As a nurse, I appreciate when others in different fields take time to educate those that aren’t as informed. That’s exactly what Bob did. Made sure I knew everything that was going on before doing it, and also providing a reasonable price in the process. Not to mention they took me in right away and took care of my car! BOB HEALY is freaking awesome ! I am completely clueless when it comes to any cars and he made sure I was using the correct oil and looked up when I last had my car inspected and did an inspection for me since I told him how much and how often I drive! He went out of his way to educate me and went above and beyond for customer service ! I came to this location because I was out and about even tho I have a few pep boys closer to me I will drive to this one just because of the great experience! He is a kind and knowledgeable employee !

Horrible. They refused to change my 33 tire because they said its too big and didnt have the equipment... They were lying. I went down the street and the other shop swapped the tire in under an hour. Go to Az Tire Pros down the road! Much better shop, excellent service, honest work and pricing.

I had taken my car here before for engine work and got great customer service. Upon leaving my engine light came back on. Took it back and they found another problem. Got that taken care of and again my engine light came back on.Found out somehow my PCV valve pipe had torn when I took it back there for the third time. I left my car with them for a day to have it returned after taping it together(it didn’t work. My car still leaks and I can smell burning w/ smoke. It didn’t have these problem before taking it here.)I asked for a replacement. It took them over two weeks to get the part (they said it was on back order). I was told by Bob, the store manager, due to all the hassle he would waive the fees. When I had showed up, Bob said they would waive just the labor fees and just charge me for the part. Frustrated with this whole situation, I agreed. He said the replacement normally cost around $200 and the part itself cost around $80 at the dealership (from which he got it). He gave me the name of the part and after looking, the part cost $40 at the dealership ($44 on amazon) and it was in every local autozone. I showed Bob and he couldn’t explain this. With that, he said he would show me I pay what the shop paid. When it came time to checkout, he tried charging me $109.I told him I would need to see the invoice and after being transparent with everything until now, he told me he never shows invoices. He said to either pay it or they will put the broken part on.So I still have the broken part and bought the part off amazon will have to replace the part myself. This will be what I put in my complaint to the BBB.They have good customer service when you speak to them but there is some shady work at play. Highly recommend picking another shop

Great service, Jesus C. really helped me out as I came in for an oil change and a suspected leak I had, turned out it was a serious leak which Jesus proceeded to show me and explain in detail what can happen if it went unnoticed. Thank to Jesus for helping me with identifying the issues with me 2004 frontier and going over the cost as well as taking the time even when dealing with multiple customers. Honesty goes a long way and this man was honest. I by no means am a car guy but I do know that some issues cannot be left unchecked, I entrusted my truck to Jesus to complete the work and it was completed in the time he specified. Thank you him and his crew for being diligent and doing an honest job.

I had a great experience with these guys! I had hit a curb and had bent the rim of one of my tires. They actually fixed the rim for free, found the most affordable tires around, went and got them for me, and gave me more than 50% off the tire installation. These guys tell you the truth as well. A woman who came in after me left her car with them because she said her brake light was on. 15 minutes later, the technician came back and said that it was just the emergency brake was slightly pulled. Other places would have taken advantage of the opportunity and charged her for unnecessary work, but these guys did not! Great place!!!!!

Called in to get battery replaced on Ford F250. Got me in same day and replaced my positive battery cable as well. Battery was under warranty but their system was still trying to charge me for the difference in what the battery cost now vs what I paid for it. Manager let me go without spending a penny as he thought the system wasnt properly honoring my warranty. Not only was the manager honest with me, but I heard him take a few calls and he was honest with all of them as well. This isnt my first time at this location, and it most certainly wont be my last.

It is hard to find someone you can trust to work on your vehicles. With Just Brakes they take the time to not only listen to your issues, but explain everything in detail. They do quality work in a timely manner. I have taken my truck in for service several times, and have been more than satisfied every time. It is nice to know that when i need work done on any of my vehicles, I dont have to decide where to go. This Pep Boys is the kind of shop that makes you count the days until your factory warranty runs out and you can go to a real mechanic instead of the stealership. These guys are awesome. The manager of this location, Bob, is fantastic. He will give you a fair deal and deliver to the highest of standards. Some local auto shops are little more than a glorified Jiffy Lube. Not this place. They can handle anything from a tire patch to and engine swap. Patronize this location and be happy that you have the best mechanic in the East Valley, hands down!

Bought a battery back in October. Went to return it the next and they refused to take it back. The guy at the front counter told me to then wait for a manager to be on staff and told me I could leave my battery there. So I did. Called the manager when he was working and was told that they would accept my refund and would mail out a check in the next 7-20 business days (a month basically) I took this as you’re never getting your money back and disputed this with my bank since I no longer had the battery. Now we’re in January and they decided to reverse my claim with my bank! SO NOW I JUST PAID 137$ FOR A BATTERY I NEVER EVEN GOT TO USE IN THE FIRST PLACE! This place is a scam. Do not go here for any car repairs. They will rip you off.

I called to make an appointment and was seen the same day. I had been quoted $250 at another place for just four brakes. The guys here did a fabulous job and were very accommodating. For all four brakes and a flush I only paid $150. While service had a little wait (they were short staffed today) I had a great experience. I would definitely come back!

I had a very bad experience at this car shop. They used 20 minutes to complete to check, which I believe is okay. However, when the check report is made available, I asked the staff there that how long I am expected to use the tire safely and explained that I am currently a student here. Therefore, I will not drive that much. But the answer is simply: I dont know. Also, they did not give me final check report. I found this issue when I return home and called back to the store later asking why the report is missing. They explained that they will keep the record and will not send me a copy. Then I asked whether I can take photo of the report and they said that they are closing the store in 3 minutes. I then asked whether he could kindly take a picture of it and send me as an email as I really need that report at that time. However, the answer is no and said that he does not have any available tools. I asked about his cellphone, but his response is that he does not want to use his cellphone for business. I really cannot understand why he cannot simply take a picture using his cellphone and then send as an email to me. Their attitude really makes me angry and I also highly doubt about their technical skills. I really dont understand why they have such a high rating in google while giving you such a bad user experience.

I had a problem with a flat tire on a rental car. This shop went above & beyond to help me. They were courteous, attentive, and fought for me to get the tire replaced. I highly recommend them for the good work they do, and how they go above & beyond.

My car battery died this morning and I had to get a jump start. I was told by my car warranty provider to go to this location because its close to my home, but when I called, they claimed they didnt have the battery I needed. I went to the location on McClintock and Apache, where Rudy was kind enough to help me out today, but he also showed me that this location does have my battery in stock. I feel that was a very unprofessional move on the part of this location.

Went in for a new tire. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The prices were reasonable, and everything took less than half an hour despite then being busy.

My brake lights wouldnt shut off and they made sure to help me in some way even though it was close to closing time. When I came back after booking an appointment for the next day they fixed the problem and drew me a diagram to explain what was going on. I was really in a pinch and am really grateful for the help I received. It was also quite affordable.

My car stopped working at the Circle K next to this Just Brakes. The workers there helped us push it in the shop, then checked it out for us right away on a busy Saturday. They figured out the problem and got my car up and running again! They went above and beyond and were extremely helpful! I highly recommend this just brakes for any of your mechanical needs!

Bad experience! I ordered a part for my car and made my appointment online as well, when I arrived to the shop in a bad attitude they told me they had no knowledge and information about the order and then told me they cancelled the order last minute because they never had the part in the first place. I don’t know if this is Pep Boys system fault or the shop, but their attitudes was the worst.

Honestly I never write reviews on anything unless I’m extremely impressed or disappointed. Very disappointed at the service I received today. The guy at the counter was rude from my initial conversation when I was making an appointment for an oil change to the actual conversation when I got there. I handle unkind people everyday but this guy actually upset me with how he talked to me. It was completely unnecessary. It actually got to the point where it ended up with me leaving without them performing an oil change and going down the street to Stinky’s. Which not only took 1/3 of the time but was treated with kindness from the getgo. I usually go to PepBoys because of how close it is to my apartment but I won’t be back.

Absolute worst Pep Boys weve ever used. Dont bother making an appointment because we had one scheduled 2 days in advance for 8:00AM tire installation and alignment, but they didnt get to it until 3pm. We finally got our car back at 7:30pm. Completely ignorant about how to properly quote expected finish times (told 3 different times throughout the day), want to sell useless warranties, and overall wasted our time. We will NEVER use this location again and still debating if we want to use Pep Boys at all.

Absolutely phenomenal service. Bob there helped me out a great deal concerning the credit service they use to do payment plans. We ran into some trouble, and he assisted me throughout the entire customer support process, even though it took well over two hours, and used his manager voodoo magic to get the payment in place despite numerous hang ups in the process.
