If you want hours and hours of your time completely wasted only to have to go to a competitor than this is the shop for you. They openly insult customers when their backs are turned, make promises they can’t keep, and don’t complete work within the time they promise. Completely unprofessional and their corporate customer service is abysmal as well. I’m no longer a customer and took my business to a local competitor.

The worst costumer service I ever ever had to experience in my live Luis estimated me for 45 min I was there for 5 hrs and the service guy was unbelievable Very rude. When he handed my. My tire suddenly went flat on the way home from work after 6pm, and I drove my car into here not knowing they were about to close for the night. They let me leave the car there for the night, to be taken care of first thing in the morning. The staff were professional and my car was done and the flat fixed within 90 minutes of them opening. Amazingly fast turnaround! They did a complimentary check of the other tires, and reasonable rate to patch up my tire, knowing the dealership mechanics I usually deal with would have charged much more. As a woman in the dark with a flat tire, I couldn’t have been more comfortable or impressed with the service.

Chris is a very nice guy, tells you what your car needs and I trust him.

Had an appointment at 11 on Sunday. Showed up at 10:50. So many cars waiting in parking lot I could not find a spot to park. So much for appointments. During COVID I try to stay away from crowds. I will have to try and find less busy store and one that takes appointments seriously. Last time I try that place. Customer for more than 10 years.

Had a wonderful experience here at the Tarrytown Mavis. Chris was a delight to work with. He was very honest and knowledgeable. I came in for a simple tire rotation expecting to be paying at least 40-50$. It turned out to be a lot less than what I expected. I would 100% recommend this location and they have won over my service for the future!

The young man at the counter, Alex, was friendly, polite, professional and knowledgeable.He took care of my needs very well. I love this location, the staff is really friendly and always meets my price expectations for the things i come in for and if not all the way then at least more than half way. They communicate well and the atmosphere is nice. I recommend this mavis location.

Hello everyone!Please watch out for this store. I purchased 4 “NEW” tires. 2 New Tires had SCREWS on it. Manager and assistant were unprofessional and racist.They patched the new tires for free because i purchased a warranty “Lucky me” . Obviously I went there to get new tires and got 2 new and 2 patched tires. I called the corporate office and customer support had my back but regional manager was an trash. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE.

This is possibly one of the only honest retail establishment left in Westchester. I went there prepared to replace my tire but after examining the one I have, they told me I didn’t need a new one. The team is polite and truthful. I highly recommend Mavis Discount Tire in Tarrytown.The manager Chris told me I didn’t need new break pads. This level of honesty is rare today. Don’t go anywhere else!

Last week, i noticed some vibration in my front wheels and i was planning a long drive on the weekend. I was worried that it was serious and might be expensive. I went to Mavis in Tarrytown and the manager Chris personally assured me they would review everything that could cause this shaking. I was expecting a huge bill and imagining all the repairs needed.. I knew I had not had the brakes done for a long while, but I wasnt sure about anything.Chris examined the car and said the brakes could use replacing and the shocks were showing some wear, but he said the shaking was something else. The first thing he did was balance the tires and that fixed the problem!!!! Chris was sincere, honest and took the time to tell me about the brakes and shocks, but assured me the car would be safe for the weekend trip. He made me promise to come back and get my car made more safe. I trusted him so much, i went ahead and did the shocks and the brakes. He took care of me like I was his best friend. My car drives and feels like its new and the comfort and confidence I have in it is all due to Chris, who I can recommend to anyone without reservation. He is great and Mavis is awesome.

Chris and Alex took care of me for a blown tire. They were courteous and professional. They were also very accommodating to my schedule as I had to work regular business hours. Also, I have private tire coverage, and they helped me every step of the way to ensure I was reimbursed! Facility was clean, well staffed and efficient.

I came down to this store specifically due to it being the best Mavis in all of New York. The customer service is outstanding, the staff are very professional, respectful and personable. Ever since new management took over the place went down hill. Staff doesnt seem to care as much or do a good job or decent job. Keep coming in for appointment but they dont have all the parts they said they would. To me it just took a turn for the worst. If you go I hope you have better luck.

Another great experience at Mavis! I just left Mavis, Tarrytown as I believed one of my tired was leaking air. My appointment was for 10am, but they allowed met to drop in earlier. I was greeted by Alex, Chris, and Dayvon who were all welcoming and helpful. My car was seen within 15 minutes of waiting and finished within another 30 min. Fully expecting to have to pay for a new tire, I went up to the counter ready to pay, but to my surprise they gave me the nail that was stuck and a receipt for a patch. Jan 6th, 2021Missing only 1-Star for the comfortability of the indoor waiting area, which is lacking in space and ergonomic forethought. Thats literally my ONLY complaint and I feel it may be too harsh, but then I remembered that certain people might really need that info. Eh.Let me just begin, firstly, by defrocking the young man, Zhamako, who left a 1-star review because there were nails on his tire. This could have been what is a rather common workplace occurance, or, more likely, it is flat-out libel. If you look at this Local Guides other reviews, you will see perhaps what I mean; negligent (mis)use of the English language, only leaves either 1-star or 5-star reviews in which hes either complacent or utterly outraged over banalities. So: below-average IQ, blatantly deficient EQ, and likely a mood disorder of some kind. Im just saying; leaving a 1-Star review doesnt make the review critical, as that would mean its either enormously important or a rational and sober critique. Both of which definitions, I sadly doubt, have likely ever been used in the context of anything this young man has ever uttured into existence.That being said, I grew up in lower Westchester County, so I dont know if its just the social climate up north here, but these guys rank among the most helpful, interested, friendly, and- dare I say of car mechanics!- trustworthy and honest mechanics Ive come by. I even tested the guy behind the counter who seemed very bright. Humorously, I chided, I should probably be changing the oil myself, right?. He laughed and affirmed my statement. Doesnt get more honest than the guy who youre paying to change your oil telling you that you shouldnt really need him for that. I will be going back for all my cars future needs. If anything changes, Ill update this review- though I think waiting for that to occur may find you wasting a whole lot of time (and gas 😂).Also, Valvoline doesnt service MINIs, these guys do. And they did so within perhaps 25 min after Id shown up 45 min late. Like I said: good, honest service.

I brought my car in to have my wheels rotated and balanced. They called me to try to convince me to replace my brakes and tires. The tires had only 10,000 miles on them. I knew my brakes were old, but not done yet. However, they quoted me $250 for all four brakes and I consented, since I was going out of town and didn’t want them to start squealing when I was gone.They said my car would be ready around 3. It was actually ready a little after 4. The cost was higher than I expected. I saw that they replaced my rotors too, without asking me. They never even quoted a price, or mentioned it at all. What could I do? Tell them to put the old rotors back? I was in quite a hurry so I didn’t have time to argue. I wish I hadn’t let them touch the brakes either.My car has 187,000 miles on it. It is nearing the end of its life. I drive only on the highway. These rotors will outlive the car.Don’t trust these people.

Came to this shop after having a dispute with another tire shop due to staff related issues, chris (manager) and his staff were nothing but professional and honest, he gave me the best deal possible and his staff was extra careful with my car mounting and balancing new tires. Broadway in Tarrytown before to replace worn tires with new ones, always with good experiences, so I didnt hesitate to use them this time.Ryan also helped us with the insurance agency so that we could put in a claim for the tire.Thank you Ryan, Chris & to those at Mavis for getting us back on the road!

Absolutely terrible place. I recommend everyone go somewhere else because they do not fix problems with cars. Had to bring my car there 3 times to fix tires that were not put on properly. Had to bring my car in twice for an alignment and its still messed up. They took advantage of my wife who did not understand fully what they were doing and the expectation. They did work knowing the alignment was still going to be off because we need additional work that we werent gonna do. They should have not done the work in the first place. Then they refused a refund on the last alignment work, they said they would give a free alignment if we got the other work done which will cost hundreds of dollars but thats the best they can do. Its scam to get more money and they do not care about customer service.

Another request of Chris and Dave at Tarrytown Mavis to get me out of a jam without prior notice. A nail had pierced one of my old set of radials too close to the sidewall to repair, also tires from Mavis but with 56000 on 50k warrantied tires. I ordered four new Toyos this time and Chris gets them on for me at the sale price by the next day so I can get back to my job the day right after.

These guys are legit! Theyre friendly, honest, and efficient. Have gotten various services here (oil change, tires, inspection) and always happy with my experience!

Needed a new battery right away for my car. Brought the car in around 1pm and picked it up around 4pm. Cost of the battery was fair. Service was great. In the past I have used other Mavis shops for tires and brakes. I have always been happy with the service at Mavis and my latest experience is no exception.Took my care there recently (10/6/2015) for a slow leak in one tire. The fixed the leak, rotated the tires, checked the brakes and shocks for an incredibly fair price. Work was done very quickly. Everyone was courteous. Another great experience. Highly recommend them.

When I arrived, in a rush, and was by told the man working the front “I’ll do what I can to get you out fast I was enthused and ready to write a positive review. When the guy working on my tire took twice as long as needed because something much more important was happening on his cell phone, I changed my mind. Ultimately, it was still a quick trip so it’s not a big deal. Get off your phone at work, get a better review.

I trusted this Mavis location as I had frequented it in the past for oil changes and state inspections. Thus, when I was given a great deal for complete rotor and brake replacement ($300ish each for front and back), I took it over the Honda dealerships offer ($1000+ for resurfacing front rotors and replacing back brakes and rotors). However, in hindsight I should have gone with the dealers because getting the rotor and brake replacement at Mavis has cost me at least $400 in additional repairs and diagnoses since then.After I got the brakes replaced I started hearing strange noises when I accelerated. I thought it was something wrong with the transmission or gear box. The dealership found that the air filter cap had been left unscrewed. Keep in mind I had only brought my car to Mavis for a brake/rotor change, not to have anyone touch my air filter. Fine. $165 for a silly diagnosis paid.After bringing my car home to California, I had another inspection done at the dealership to find that one of the lug nuts had been stripped during the brake/rotor change. How much did it cost to repair (which involves them CUTTING the lug nut off because it cant be removed with their tools)? Another $230.From this experience, I unfortunately have to say that this Mavis location is neither a trustworthy nor accountable business. Save yourself the headache and get your car maintained at a trusted dealership.

I went in for a oil change and the guy said my brakes were at 5% left . And that I need to change them as soon as possible. I did that but didnt go to Mavis . So when my mechanic was changing them they discovered that the brakes still had about a year left on them and I have pictures to prove this. I work across the street and I will never go back to Mavis again and I will tell everyone I know to never go there. That is almost like stealing they wanted me to get them changed right away . Im sorry but thats not how to run a business be fair with people and honest not a thief. Never go to this location they are terrible sorry you just lost a customer and probably more when I tell all my coworkers to never go there also.
