Outstanding Customer Service! My daughter took my newly purchased used bike to Tom for a tune-up as a Fathers Day gift....the bike has been working perfectly. This week I took my wifes bike for a tune-up - it hadnt been services for 7 years (used lightly)....and everything is working perfectly now....gears shifting, brakes all good, seat/handle bars aligned....we all should be supporting small businesses like Tarpon Toms....just read his Google Reviews.

We rented kayaks from Tom’s and it was fantastic!! He dropped off kayaks at a dock near the shop, and the we paddled and floated by the sponge docks, next to mangrove islands, under bridges, and then had a drink at the Boat Club. Then, we got picked up and got shuttled back to the car . It was an awesome adventure and experience, and we recommend it for everyone. With an incoming tide, it can be a great experience for kids also.

These guys are awesome people and a great local business. I just bought 2 new beach cruiser bikes and Tom took the time to answer a bunch of my questions and was very knowledgeable on what options were the best for my wife and I. The customer service was great. They tuned them up and even let me borrow a bike mount to transport the bikes home. I highly recommend Tarpon Toms for all your bicycle needs.

I feel a place like this is what makes a community. I have stopped in Tarpon Toms Several times and dealt with different members of the Team, and each time they were patient, kind and helpful. I never felt pressured to buy something, and when looking for a specific part, I was given multiple options. They are knowledgeable and willing to help really figure out this issue rather than just having you throw money at them.As for the location, they have a wide variety of bikes ranging from unicycles to recumbents, folding bikes to fat tire bikes, vintage to electric if it is considered a bicycles they have something to fit your needs. And Unlike many shops nowadays they do also sell used bikes.This is a great place and my gut tells me that if they cannot help you, they will probably be able to suggest some where that could.

SO happy to have found this shop after a horrible experience with the owner of another shop nearby. Should have read reviews first. This place is everything a small business should be! Friendly, know their bikes, and are welcoming. You can tell this is a passion and love for the guys there. This will be our go to for cycling needs. If you are in the market for a new bike, need repairs, want some upgrades - please avoid the Cyclery on the Trail and come here instead!

It was a blessing to have contacted a business who cared so much. I recently purchased a used bicycle and had a problem, We called several other shops in the area and had numerous excuses why they wouldnt even look at the problem. We called Tarpon Toms and was offered the opportunity to bring the bike to the shop for a look. We did, expecting to having to leave the bicycle there. As busy as they were, they immediately brought it to the back, did a quick inspection, showed us the problem and proceeded to fix it. A part was needed and we were offered a used/fairly new part. Within 1 hour the bike was fixed and the price we were charged was more than reasonable and fair. Everyone was polite, professional and very friendly. Wonderful to have a local business offering wonderful, personal service!

Just moved to the area and found Tarpon Toms on Yelp. In our move here, the movers broke the front brake cable. Called ahead to see if they could fix it and brought it right in. They fixed the cable right on the spot. Also, checked my back brake and filled the tires! Excellent service and nice people. Will use when needed and will recommend to others.

Go see Jan if you need a good bike mechanic. He did a great job fixing my rear derailleur and adjusting my brakes. Jan is a VERY GOOD bike mechanic, and a very nice and courteous guy. He fixed everything very quickly - same day - for a very reasonable price. Nice selection of new and used bikes as well!

LOOK NO FURTHER! This place is great! I shopped around palm harbor(that’s where I live) No one carried a lot of inventory, new or used..... and the $ was a little high. A family members told me to try this place, they said they had a great experience here and even spent more $ because of the comfort and deal he was getting. I stopped by, was very impressed by all the bikes they have. A young dude with long hair helped me. He was insightful, helpful, answered all my questions. Let me test ride a few bikes. I finally found the one I wanted and they threw in a few things on the deal. I felt really valued. You get free service for a year when you purchase a bike through them. There extras (bells, drink holders, cell phone clips) are not overpriced!! Super reasonable. The other staff I have interacted with(because I have since been back and brought others here) are too notch also. Would recommend to anyone, even kids!

A lifesaver! Needed air badly and tried going to the bike shop up the street (Neptune - they were terrible) but wound up at Tarpon Toms who saved my ride and my day. Nice folks who will take care of you. Went back later that week and bought more supplies from them as a thank you. The ONLY place to go in Tarpon Springs!

Tom is the best guy there, I asked if he needed help around the shop and he gave me the job. There service is great, they have all the tools needed to fix anything on a bike. If you need your bike fixed I highly recommend them.

Bike had low tires off the Pinellas trail, went to fill them up at Neptune’s. Bought an adapter from the shop to use their free air outside and ended up not working at all. Went to ask the shop keep if he would mind helping me and he sucks! Acted like he was offended by me being in his shop asking for bike assistance. I walked my bike the half mile to Toms- now these folks have wonderful customer service. Pumped me back up and checked my pressure for free. Even swapped out my ratty grips for nearly free. Thanks for saving my ride today guys!

These guys are fantastic. I brought my road bike in to have handle bars adjusted and gears tuned. Well I cant believe how comfortable its is now and the shifters are so much more responsive. Unbelievably and for a very reasonable fee

I looked all over Dunedin and Palm Harbor for a good, inexpensive used bike. I was referred to Tarpon Toms by a new bicycle dealer. The referral was spot on. I got there and met Brad who let me trial ride some bikes and he offered his suggestions as I explained what I wanted. Ended up with a really nice bike which he put new bearings in while I waited. I highly recommend Tarpon Toms.

I had a really get day of renting kayaks with my best friend.The weather was wonderful. We rented a 2 seater and 2 single seaters. Tom was great at meeting us at Craig park boat launch and helping us get into the water and feel comfortable with our kayaks. We ended up paddling through the Sponge Docks and out through some mangroves almost getting lost. We made it back to the ramp we dropped in. Tom picked up the boats and we went on to have lunch. I highly recommend Toms if you are interested in renting kayaks or bikes he will treat you right!! Thanks Tom!

We took are bikes here for repairs by a suggestion from a family member and are we glad we did! I talked to Brad there and he listened to all my my concerns with my bike and said he would give me a quote once he went over it. Well he called me the next day and gave me a decent quote and asked if I knew about my seat needing repairs. I said yes I knew it was bad and he gave me a choice of used or new and the price was right so I went new. He had it ready the next day and it rode just like new! I was so impressed with his service and friendly attitude that I brought my wifes bike there also. My wifes bike I knew needed a seat so I told Brad he could replace that with a new one too. When all was done it rode like new again. And Brad really does care about his customers as he replaced the seat with one that was similar to the original style my wife liked! I cant say enough to reccomend this place. Quick service, great work all with a friendly attitude to boot! Thanks to Brad & Tarpon Toms!

Stopped by this afternoon because my buddy needed air in a tire (after an abysmal experience w Neptune cycles- that sun was a massive a-hole)The folks at Tom’s were more than happy to help us out of a jam by pumping up the tires. We had them throw new grips on the bike as well which was taken care of in 2 minutes and for half what it would have cost me to have done at the shop by my house.Can’t recommend this place enough. Next time I need any maintenance done, they’ll be top of my list.

Update: 5/30 I went in to pick up my bike after having it a time up done and had the pleasure of meeting Jan who was fabulous! My bike is a cheap $50 Target bike and while I’ve begun biking more often he told me that while my bike was ok that since I wanted to become a more avid biker I should look into upgrading in the next month or two and showed me some hybrid bikes and explained how they would perform better and be more comfortable for me. I appreciated his knowledge and time and told him I would be back to upgrade soon with him. I’ve also shared my positive experience with a friend who will also be upgrading hers soon as well. Keep up the great work Jan and team!!I stopped in with my sister to get a new seat and had the pleasure of meeting Tom; what a gem! He educated us on a few things since we both had recently purchased pre-owned bikes. My seat was too low, the handle bars were too low and he explained how the changes would benefit me. Excellent full service bicycle shop with a great staff. I come to the Tarpon Springs area often and couldnt find a good bike shop that had good service, nice staff and decent pricing. Most of the bike shops I called or visited had high service prices and werent friendly, more like they were doing me a favor by going there. They have so many used bikes at very affordable prices, I brought in a wheel to get trued (straight) and it was beyond repair, so they offered me a new wheel at a decent price as well as a used wheel that was mechanically perfect at a great price. I also brought in my new high end touring bike for a tune up and asked them to do a few things to it, they went beyond what I asked and tuned up everything and now it performs better than the day I picked it up new. There is not many people I trust to work on my Rad Power bike. So I took it in 8/4/2020 for a tuneup, then Jan told me that it was time for a new chain and that then resulted into a new flywheel. Well I cant say I couldnt be any happier. Since the new flywheel was put on I have noticed a world of difference. Instead of really working to get this bike going not all I have to do is just start peddling easy and it goes. I am so happy that Jan took the time to get my bike back on the road. Thank you so much. These guys are GREAT. The spent the needed time to help me pick out the pick that I was looking for. When I found the one I liked they did a full inspection of the bike, and during that time they replaced both tires with new ones and tightened the brakes and also gave me a water bottle holder free of charge and installed it for free. Short story long if you want a bike but are not sure what to get then this is the place to go, in fact if you buy a bike and then decide you want something different then simply return the bike and they will give you that credit towards a new bike with them. You would have to be crazy to go anywhere else. 5-stars is not enough in my opinion.

These guys are awesome! I found one of their used bikes on Craig’s List. They had already replaced the tires on it, and when I test drove it and mentioned that the brakes sounded rough, they immediately replaced the brake pads at a discount and tuned up the shifters as well. Super friendly guys from start to finish, with a good selection of used bikes.

Took a job on my vintage road bike that other shops turned their noses up at and did an excellent job at getting it back on the road with a short turn around. Great friendly service, Repairs done at quoted price in a quick timely manner. I am very mechanically inclined, and do most work on items myself, as I am fussy. It was a pleasant experience, to see the extra care and thought that went into the repair and maintenance done by Brad, on a bike I dropped off at their facility. Look no further for your bike shop. I took my 10 yr. old Cannondale road bike here for a tune up & safety check. I was growing bored with the bike. I explained this to the guys at Toms. Long story short, they did an overhaul on my bike & it is actually better than when I first got it. Now, I stop in to visit Molly listen to the great music. These guys rock.

Last week, I came in to the shop with a busted tire and had no idea on how to fix it. I came in to the shop and right away Brad had noticed that my tire was starting to fray and that the tube needed replacing as well. That made sense to me since Ive had my bike for over 2 years and the tread of the tire was pretty much gone. I asked him how long the used tire would last since i go about 20 miles three times a week on my beach cruiser. He made the suggestion that I buy a brand new white wool tire it. When I ordered it, Brad told me it would take about a week to bring it. He was spot on! I was very happy about the service i received and how affordable it was! Im glad I came to Toms to fix my bike! :)

Great service. Fair prices. Brought my bike in for a tune-up Saturday morning at 10 AM, was done by 2 PM. Also replaced the crank bearings in that time. Will be back!

Great people up there passionate about cycling. Prices are fair, attitude is great. Stay AWAY from Neptune bike shop down the road. The guy that runs the place is on drugs literally and you never know when hes gonna blow up on you or his employees. Ive witnessed it on multiple occasions hell go from super nice to screaming and cussing in the same conversation, at his employees a few times and only one time at me... only once. He knows who I am I ride by his shop daily. Out of frustration I picked my bike up from there and stumbled into Tarpon toms on a recommendation from a friend. No more Neptune for me, Ill be taking all of my bikes to tarpon toms from now on.They also refurbish and sell preowned nicer bikes at reasonable prices which I think is cool. Stay away from the dope crack smack or whatever head and give your money to sober people that appreciate their clientele.

I just moved into the neighborhood, and Toms is literally a 5 minute walk from my new home, so I had high hopes when i first saw this shop touring the area. I was not disappointed!I took in an old junker bike I found on craigslist to be fixed up, and both Tom, and his son who work there were very patient with me, as I have a full time job and wasnt able to come in for 2 weeks to check in. They left me a voicemail, letting me know my junker probably wasnt worth the price of restoring it, and helped me find a very reasonably priced cruiser to replace it. They even gave me a 25 dollar credit towards the new bike!I will be sure to keep visiting this shop for any of my cycling needs. Thanks Toms!

I have been using Tarpon Toms for a couple years now for bike tuneups, and they have always been tremendous. Decided to buy a new one and of course went straight to Tom and the gang. They were VERY patient and thorough with me in finding the right bike at the best value. Just got it today and it is PERFECT!!! What a dream it is to get service through Tarpon Toms. Smiles, hellos all around, had exactly what I needed (which was a small 20 tube for a road tire). I needed to get my right front tire (I ride a recumbent trike) pumped up to capacity and Brad, the attendant, offered to either loan me his pump, or if I wanted to bring it in, hed do it himself. From the way I was treated here, I would recommend Toms to anyone.
