These guys definitely work on Taos time. Meaning they never get anything done in a timely matter. If you get a package, and it says itll be delivered on said day. Might as well check a week later, that way you dont waste your time.
Workers are nice and helpful. I was able to pick up my mail via General Delivery here.
The staff here is always helpful and working hard. People leaving one star reviews need to realize that they are understaffed and the pandemic is overwhelming the mail services. Most upset customers Ive seen here it is totally their own fault or they need to realize this is Taos, move to a big city if you cant deal with Taos time.To all the employees, I appreciate you.
Ive never had such a bad experience with USPS. A few weeks ago, Beverly gave me instructions to have all packages delivered to General Delivery. When I went to pick them up, she instructed me that she could not hand me any of my packages due to them being UPS. During this, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. While understanding the mistake, it would be helpful for all employees to tell customers whether certain packages can and cant be delivered. I will not be using this USPS location in the future.
Its good like every other PO, but doesnt have notary services.
Incompetent staff! They gave away my packages to some random stranger. And somehow turned it all around to make it my fault!! LolIm still without my packages!
The Taos staff offers the best service we’ve ever experienced at any Post Office. This location exemplifies the value of a community post office. However, the NEW 800 # has obviously been put in place to frustrate the user and further undermine the US Postal System!
The older gentleman with long hair at the counter is extremely rude, and not knowledgeable in any aspects of his job. I showed him a flyer that I picked up inside the office not more than 6 feet away from him, which concerned the informed delivery service. He told me he knew nothing about it and said he couldnt help me without even thinking about asking a co-worker or manager to help him learn how to do it. He is extremely rude, lazy, and useless. They might as well have a completely automated system in place of this goof!
It’s usually pretty busy, but if you’re polite and patient you will probably have a good experience here. I have always been treated well by the employees.
Lazy lady behind the counter did not want to put in my tracking number and I had my package returned when she had it there in the back.Terrible service!
I love this post office. Employees like Lucas make our trips to the Post Office fun. Lucas has been at the Taos Post Office for as long as I can remember and he has always been a cool guy.Have you ever been to a Post Office and had an employee remember your name? What about your P.O. Box number? At the Taos Post Office, Lucas is the guy that does.He always goes out of his way to help people, even when he is busy. His awesome customer service has never changed over the many years he has worked there (which is rare).Lucas is one of those very few people that does his job perfectly everyday and never takes any shortcuts. He knows the Post Office better than anyone. He is a true professional and master of his craft.Lucas has always made the Post Office experience a positive thing. Even when I might be frustrated with the mail or something else, he is the guy that can always fix things. Thanks for your years of service Lucas!
The clerk that allowed me to borrow a permanant marker for packaging was kind to all of the customers she tended to. The other 2 clerks working at the time were equally rude to the customers. I wont be back to this location. Yikes
Its ok but employees have an attitude problem
Taos mail system is an anomaly. Not enough cluster boxes for the number of homes. I have to put POBox number, and the address of post office to get packages that I am unsure of delivery method.
Use the post office so we get to keep it! I live in town and am able to have USPS pick up packages by going to my online account, creating a label and selecting Schedule pickup. I imagine thats not available for everyone but its worth a try!
Have had a PO box here for 5 years. I appreciate having this Post Office here in our town. The people that work here are a blessing & I have NEVER had a bad experience, they are always helpful & friendly, even when I call with a question. They get to know who you are and are always willing to lend a hand. Thank you!!!
After living in Minneapolis for 5 years and getting consistent, drama free, super professional service from the Longfellow neighborhood post office, I soon realized things can be much worse when I experienced the Taos area postal services. I was charged $9.78 to pick up a package at the post office which was handed to the post office by UPS and the postage was paid when I ordered the package in the first place. They act like some sort of mafia scum.
This is the palace of mail, and Lucas is its prince. I love this place, its where presents come from. Everybody is friendly and helpful. If you always have a bad time, maybe its you?
So rude.
The workers here are very friendly and helpful. I dislike not having mail delivered closer to my home but it isnt their fault. At least I get to deal with great employees.
Worst experience ever with a post office! I had several packages that the post office didnt even bother delivering instead returned them all back to the senders stating incomplete address as the reason. When I called to try to get a solution to this issue the woman who answered was completely rude and gave me attitude when I asked for assistance in finding a solution to the issue. On top of all that she blamed it all on me for having an address she personally didnt know where it is. Seriously? I will never use USPS again. I will stick to the RELIABLE, FRIENDLY and ALWAYS on time UPS!!!
Some very happy postal workers here, especially the guy with the ponytail. Always cheerful and helpful and they always have tons of boxes and materials
Guess what. I did find it cheaper Mr. Cynical post office person. thanks for the crummy customer service as well this morning 10:30 am 3/19/18.Taos packing down the street had great customer service.
Worst service ever. Except for a few times Ive been accurately helped, most of the time my packages get inexplicably delivered to other locations, if you dont double check the address, they will write whatever they want, even though you give them in writing the right address. One day theyll tell you one thing, the next other rule will apply (it depends on the laziness of the person), they dont even know or apply the guidelines youll find on their corporate website. And if you are sending cremains, as I did, beware of not sending them during the holidays, the cremains of my loved one got send to other place, stuck there without no one being able to help me. What a nightmare. Unfortunately USPS is the only one that offers this service, and in Taos, just one option.
Only three requirements to work for the post office in Taos. 1. Be dumber than a box of rocks. 2. Be lazy. 3. Dont care about people. One star only because you cant post without it.
Only used it once, but person was friendly and efficient.
The lack of customer service has me scratching my head. Why would people who hate their jobs so much still work here?
Excellent and friendly service
The worst customer service ive had will not use again
Very fast, friendly service
Small and cozy
I live inVeghe
No phone ever answered.
