At the beginning I was hesitant to start school (Dolly Monroe Academy) because it wasn’t a we’ll know school like “Paul Mitchell or Artistic Nails & Beauty“. When I went for a tour the set up was nice and clean, and the environment was breath taking. Dolly was completely honest, she explained she was fairly new to the school industry, but teaching and beauty has always been her passion. I took the chance and can honestly say it was the best decision I’ve ever made. The class setting was small which was a bonus because it gave the Instructors The ability to help each and every student at their own pace. The transition from practice to assisting actual customers was seamless, because I had the Confidence and education instilled in me from my instructor. I already had a lash business prior to starting school, but after receiving me aesthetician license I’m know multi-skilled in the beauty/fashion Industry!! I will forever be grateful for the opportunity because my business is flourishing.

I went to Dolly Monroe Studios to have my daughter’s hair braided. Christal was our hairstylist.My 8 year old daughter picked out two pictures which I showed Christal. I was little conflicted with the pictures, it wasn’t really age-appropriate but cute. I took the microblading training with Dolly. What an amazing experience! She is so knowledgeable. When she is teaching you you feel her whole undivided attention. She is so sweet and very professional. I feel the class gave me a complete training to prepare me for a future in microblading. She even went into detail about marketing strategies. All my questions were answered and she never made me feel rushed. She was with me every step of the way and never left my side to give me the confidence I need!

Dolly Monroe Studios is definitely a top notch salon here in the New Tampa area. I visited the salon early morning to see if I could book an appointment and received a friendly greeting from Taylor at the front desk. She was able to set up my appointment for color change the same day. I came back within the hour and I had the opportunity to have Ashley as my Pro Stylist. She walked me through the whole color process which included a strand test. She is very professional and very kind and I have to add she is a perfectionist! My overall experience at this salon exceeded my expectations and I can’t wait to try their other services!

Completed my microblading training with Dolly and it was such a great experience. She is so hands on and down to earth. Very easy to connect to and I was able to open up to her. She had confidence in me, and pushed me to succeed. It’s hard to find people in the beauty industry that are so kind and helpful and want to help you succeed and grow. Her staff was also so friendly and treated me so well and made me feel comfortable. Such a great atmosphere! I’m so thankful I found her. It’s also nice to know that after my training she is willing to help me with any questions I have and to help me along the way.

The students are really being trained well. If I didnt already know it was a school, I would think that the services I received (waxes and facials) were done by professionals! Ill definitely be a future client for sure. Shout out to Briseana and Hayley!!

Dolly Monroe is a hidden gem in New Tampa, I can safely say that not all salons are equal. Honestly, I have gotten eyelash extensions in the past, and had such a bad experience but after today they showed me how its supposed to be done. Amazing atmosphere, great staff, and even better work. I am in love with my lashes, and cant wait to get my hair and makeup done this weekend.

Always love the service at Dolly Monroe Studios. Just finished up my annual microblading touch up with Dolly. She is always friendly, welcoming and on time. Never any waiting, she is ready at your appointment time. She is an artist! Takes her time, keeps everything sterile and keeps you as comfortable as possible with numbing creams. Women owned and operated business is always a plus! I love my brows!

Aside from being late, my experience with Dolly Monroe Studios was great. I booked my wedding hair/makeup group 9 months before our big day and India was great with fitting me in for my trial before moving to Washington state. When her and her team showed up on the wedding day, they quickly got to work and got us back on schedule in no time. They also had fun with me and my girls, laughing and dancing! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and cant thank them enough for making my dream look come true. I would definitely recommend India and her team for any bridal hair/makeup needs!

I dont know where to begin. I loved my entire experience from beginning to end. The process of making an appointment was easy and my make up artist Mel is the best. I havent worn make up in years. I left feeling like a princess mommy ☺. Thanks Mel you really brought my vision to life.

The environment is awesome. Its completely different from most places I have gone to. Also, everyone who is there treats you like family. I was helped by Ashley to get my eyebrows done and dang. I have never had someone do such a perfect job on my eyebrows. She considered the way my brows naturally are and my face shape. She was so sweet and you can tell she really knew her stuff. I definitley recommend everyone to go here. Its a unqiue experience and you wont be disappointed.

Got waxed here a few days ago and originally wasnt going to write a review, but 4 days later and my skin is still sore, red, and dry. Ashley B did not clean the area before waxing, there were many blonde hairs left over, and there are many patches of areas where there is no hair, some hair, and a lot of hair where you can distinctly tell the difference. Waste of $35! Unsanitary conditions if they are not cleaning the area first and re using waxing sticks. Also the products they use are Gigi brand, which you can buy without a beauty license at Sallys Beauty Supply for cheap. Do not recommend here for waxing. Waste of money

Absolutely amazing work! India did an incredible job! I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and the makeup was spot on. I was receiving compliments all night long and people who saw pictures were telling me to buy all the makeup bc of how stunning my makeup was. I felt like a movie star. VERY disappointed with my microblading service. Had two treatments as recommended and it didnt even last 3 months. Made appt. with Dolly for eyebrow waxing, drove 30 minutes just to be put with someone with very little experience.

Dolly beat my face for the Beyonce Concert. I love that she asked me what I was wearing and the look I was going for b/c alot of artist just do what they want. Nothing but amazing service every time I go in. Always available and works with my hectic work schedule. I have been to four different lash techs in the area to try them out but this is def my go to, and the one I’m sticking with!

I purchased two facials for my mom and I on Groupon. Called them on Saturday to make an appointment and was scheduled for Monday at 3:30pm and 4pm. Drove over 40 minutes and when I arrived for my appointment the entire place was closed with the lights off. I called them the following day and they told me they had been there but they clearly had not. Extremely unprofessional, will never book anything with them again and will let everyone know how horrible my experience was.

She is a must go!
