Building a pool can been an stressful experience, especially in todays current environment. Better Pool and Spa made this a very pleasant experience from the beginning to the end. The biggest factor was their ability to communicate instantly with us through the pool process. Thomas provided 5 star service throughout, responding to texts, almost immediately and kept us inform throughout the process and what was going to happen next. I cant say enough good things about this man, if I was hiring a project manager hed be the man. Michael who sold us the pool provided outstanding service too, keeping in touch with us throughout the whole build, again delivering exceptional service. The rest of the crew who I interacted with throughout the build where always curious and informative of what they were doing at the time. Bob the owner has assemble a great team that truly delivers on their promise. I highly strongly recommend them.

The pool is turning out beautiful. Bob Grasso is a very nice guy, I would build with him again. However, I would set a time line for finishing of pool in the contract if I had to do it over. This is by far the most beautiful pool I have ever had built, and I have had 3 pools built in the past. I will definitely build with him again. In the end, he gave us some wonderful pool cleaning gifts and supplies. I referred several friends to him. I am thrilled with my pool and spa, water and fire features.

Our pool was completed two weeks ago and we could not be happier with the finished product. We decided to contract with A Better Pool because we felt Bob was the most honest and genuine of the pool contractors we spoke to. Weve also had four other friends use A Better Pool and all of their pools are absolutely beautiful as well. Completion took just shy of four months and at times communication lagged, however, we have neighbors whos pool construction started a month before ours and theyre still not done (theyre using a different company), so we feel very lucky the process took just four months, especially considering the issues COVID has caused to the industry.

I have had 2 rust spots in my pool within 3 years. The first one was repaired after 3 months of waiting. The repair was done poorly. I contacted Bob Groso and he said he would be out to look at it. Bob never showed up. I sent him pictures and got no response. Ive called him multiple times about the second rust spot, but no response.

Very professional company, Bob and Thomas are always on the job. Thomas always answered my questions when needed. Job took about 5 months but under the circumstances that’s pretty good. I would recommend them.

I had an excellent time watching Bob’s team come together. Every project that was part of the pool, like the pavers and the screening was completed within 2-3 days the most. You still must have patience when installing a pool, it’s a big team working together and it’s definitely a big job that is time consuming.Bob definitely uses one of the best screening company, the pavers came out wonderful and I appreciate his help designing the pool with spa!!!! It’s definitely Worth the wait and the upgrade. You have to remember it’s adding Value to your home, I went with one of his best designs, it’s costly but I don’t regret it one bit, at the end of the day you get what you pay for.His team is amazing, they care about their job and they stop and answer any questions you have at any point. Their a strong team.I would leave my home any time of the day and leave them here working and it was never a problem.They cleaned up extremely, extremely well, and left everything organized. That was my favorite part! 😁

We had the most incredible experience with A Better Pool. They built our pool from start to finish and did a wonderful job. We love our pool! Bob, Tom, and the rest of their team worked so hard and were able to finish it in just over 3 months from start to finish. We love the glass tile, water bowls, picture frame screen, hot tub and travertine. It’s such a custom beauty. Bob and his Guys were easy to get ahold of through out the process and kept a clear line of communication. Also, we got three months of pool cleaning as an added bonus and so far we are happy with that service as well. We definitely recommend this company to all our friends looking to build a pool. I could go on and on about how wonderful this company treated us when building our pool.

My husband and myself came across A Better Pool at a local home show. I had already met with at least ten pool contractors. After talking with Bob we agreed to have him come out and take a look at the property and give us an estimate. We broke ground around the third week in February 2019 and the pool was completed mid may. We have pictures of every step of the progress. If I or my husband was not home to get pictures the crew took pictures and videos and texted them to me. There was a few weeks after the rain where the pool had a some green spots, however the weekly cleaning service took care of it. Bobby (pool cleaner) arrives every week without a problem. He and my husband talk about the pool and if he has any questions Bobby answers them. We are satisfied with the finished product. #swimmingeveryday

They were contracted by our home builder to build the pool. Our pool is less than 2 1/2 years old. My experience with this company is awful especially when it comes to quality. For example, they used non stainless steel screws in the pool grates. I asked for it to be fixed and they never followed through. I had to hire an outside company to finally fix the issue. We also have lights and spa blowers that when in use direct water outside of the spa. Once again they said they would fix and once again I’ve had to hire an outside company to fix the poor quality work. Save yourself future issues and chose another pool company. If your builder is using this company ask for an alternative pool company.

Logan doesnt respond to calls, texts or emails. We recently received a new pool cleaner(3rd cleaner from his company in a year) that uses a manual cleaning system which requires him to adjust the valve settings. After reaching out to Logan with no avail we called a company to fix the issue in which we incurred $140.00 fee. The problem was the cleaner didnt reset the valves. This has happened twice thus far. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They have zero customer service and are nonresponsive. Find a reliable company this is not one.

Not only did they come on Friday to install the generator, but they told my pool cleaner to make sure he got there Friday because I was having a party. Theyve also pointed out some items that should be corrected with the filter system and have been very kind showing my dad how to operate things. I really value honesty and excellent customer service and so far these guys have both.

We are small General Contracting company. We have used A Better Pools on numerous occasions over the years for pool installations on projects. They are a great company to deal with. Bob knows pools like few people in the industry, and is still personally involved in the work. Honest reliable people to work with. I have recommended them to many of my clients in the past.

Based on Sean’s and other reviews I was a little leery at first, but, was happily surprised. I did multiple quotes and they came in way under, were very responsive and had a very knowledgeable “part owner” out the next day to check everything out. They told me what I don’t need instead of trying to sell me extras. I didn’t think a salt infinity pool was in our budget. I think this company figured things out and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

A-Bettter Pool has been servicing and maintaining my underground pool and equipment since January 2017.They work tiresslly to keep my pool crystal clear, especially since I have well water with alot of iron. Flat out poured rain last night. Great!! Walked by my power panel for my pool this morning and saw that the panel door was left open after pool service yesterday. Not the first time or I wouldnt be mentioning it online.

This business is terrible and they almost never answer their calls. I had trouble with a pool sweep and they replaced an impella. Then it stopped working again and advised I buy a new one. I bought the one they recommended despite the fact the other one was only two years old. The new one didnt work either. The service guy said he knew nothing about it. I called Logan and pleaded with him to com to my home to look and see if it was something simple like valves turned the wrong way. He never came. I interviewed another service who immediately saw that this company had mislabeled the vacuum and skimmer valves so it was never set up properly ! I fired them by phone in January and after two weeks they kept coming. I sent him a certified letter and fired him in writing. Today is now the third Wednesday in February and the service man came. again. They wont respond to phone calls, texts, or voicemails. I told them I had paid for the other service and do not intend to pay them. Next Wednesday, when they come, and I am not here due to a class, I will leave a note on the pump, assuming the serviceman can read. I have threatened to call the police for trespassing if they show up again. If they bill me on my CC I will instruct Visa not to pay. DO NOT USE THEM.

Worst pool company I have ever had. I had a new pool put in over the summer with a salt system. Over about 3 months the pool started to turn green and had a film on top of the water. After calling them multiple times and getting no response I called a new company. They found that the salt had never been filled and was empty. They also found that the filter was never clean and had algae growing in it. Worst company with the worst service. Stay away!!!

My pool heater was reportedly repaired by this company due to fault found at home inspection. I continued a brief service working with a gentleman identified as owner on his business card. They close for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Years. My heater broke with the same error message and I attempted to contact them. I was replied to with very terse and unhelpful emails one week later. I asked in my initial inquiry about replacing my heater and automating my system which would have meant thousands of dollars. The owner invited me to find another company to service my pool.

Mr. Grosso has been available to answer questions, maintenance operating issues and his crew put in a pool handrail. I have been generally satisfied since completion. The final product is a nice pool that I enjoy. I know he would like me to take down the original review because he completed what was contractually agreed upon. I don’t write a lot of reviews but what I wrote was a factual account of my experience which was quite miserable when I was spending $50,000. Deleting the review would deny an experience that never should have happened.Initial review in October of 2018: Honestly would not even give one star it has been 13 months since I signed a contract. Have been trying to have a pool put in by this company since March (that is when both permits were finally issued). Since the end of April I have been looking at a concrete hole with tile. I have had the excuse of the rain, the footings for the structure to go over the pool, problems with other projects he is working on. I ordered the pergola structure to be delivered on the day Bob Grosso told me he would be ready for it. It arrived April 26th and today on July 10th it is still sitting in my driveway in two crates. I regret having ever started this project with A Better Pool. My yard has been torn up for 6 months with no end in sight. All I keep getting is excuses. he has 90% of the money and no incentive to finish and I have a beautiful concrete hole with construction debris still in it. the image is what it has looked like for over 3 months. Update, the pergola was finally erected on Aug 15, 2018. It took about a day and a half of actual time to erect. Was told by Bob Grosso that he could have pool completed in 6 weeks or less. Now 2 months later and it is no where near finished. It has been nearly 13 months since I signed a contract and gave a 10% deposit. In perspective...it has now taken longer than took to add 50% to my home and to renovate and build an addition to my office combined. I would NOT recommend them unless you were my worst enemy.

We used these guys for about 2 years. At one point our pool turned green - in which the owner said, the pool will be clean 10 months out of the year - the other 2 months will be a problem - I had to ask him to repeat it so my wife could hear it! The price (unjustifiably) increased on me in the middle of the 2nd contract renewal, they continually missed scheduled visits, the pool was haphazardly cleaned at other times. Employee turnover was a problem for them - understandably a small business problem - but Im paying a pool servicing company so that wont be my problem... They billed my CC for 3 months after I told them to discontinue servicing my pool, it was so bad that I had to get some attorneys from my office to call in and assist with the refund.

Families with young ones beware. I switched to their weekly pool cleaning services earlier this year. Within the first couple of months, the service guy left my safety gate open, mind I have three kids under the age of 9. The first guy was let go for other reasons. When his replacement started I mentioned the safety gate concern and he stated, thats the one thing you dont forget to do. After todays visit, he left it open but I didnt find out until my 1.5year old opened the back door and walk out into our lanai. Thank God I was able to get to her before she fell in. Thank God, again. So if you have little ones, rethink hiring this company for weekly pool maintenance.
