Dr. Aves and staff are always great!! Both my children had their wisdom teeth extracted at this facility, and both had a great experience. Communication is always clear, and precise. There was never a moment where we felt as if we didn’t know the next step, or what to expect. The surgeries went well, and we love how the assistant called post surgery to check on my kids. We will gladly refer family and friends to Dr. Aves!

Very good doctor my son had all 4 wisdom teeth taken out by DR.Aves and it took about 25 minutes and he did a very good job. Would Recommend this amazing doctor to anyone looking to get any oral procedure done. Also the staff was very friendly and nice, overall everything was a smooth process From start to finish.

I took my son to Dr Aves for wisdom teeth removal, but insurance would only cover 2 teeth and I couldnt afford to pay out of pocket. Dr Aves was so kind and generous that he removed all 4 while my son was under anesthesia! My son wouldve had to do the surgery and anesthesia twice, if he hadnt done that for us. I am so very grateful for the kindness and understanding staff at this facility.This is the second time I have been super impressed by Dr Aves and staff. I have severe dental anxiety. Stepping foot in a dental office is extremely difficult for me. To be impressed by an Oral Surgeon or Dentist is really saying something. Lol!!

I would like to give this place 5 stars, but I can not bring myself to do that for the following reason. The front desk staff does NOT put the patient first. From what Ive witnessed the few times Ive come to here, all they do is gossip, and make people wait at the front until they finish their conversations among themselves. I recently visited here to have an oral surgery done on my child, and I literally stood at the front counter waiting about 15-20 minutes before I was even addressed. The two ladies behind the counter were on their cell phones laughing and giggling with each other, then once they finished their conversation, they were still on their cell phones. One of the ladies is in the picture Ive attached. The pic depicts how oblivious they are to the patients at the front counter, to the point where I took numerous pictures and they didnt even notice. I have much more evidence, but this is enough to get my point across. Besides that, the rest off the staff and the service was excellent. Very polite and will go above and beyond to work you in the schedule. Procedure was quick and straight to the point. I even received a courtesy call to make sure my child was okay. I would recommend this office, but they need new front desk staff.

Bad Customer Service. I called for an appointment for my daughter, she need an extraction and she is in pain. because of my accent the lady on the phone hang up on me.

I owe a ton to this place, they went way above and beyond to fit me in almost right away due to a severe toothache. The staff here is phenomonal and always has been. I had work done here about 4 years ago and I was still remembered. I hate going to the dentist for anything, but they def helped me through it. Thanks again all!

If you are looking for compassionate, great customer service, polite, efficient, and most important educated look no further!! We are so grateful to God for Dr. Aves and his staff! Our daughter had a procedure in which due to insurance we would probably have part of procedure one day and the remaining another, however because of Dr Aves compassionate heart he said I wouldnt want my daughter to go through this twice so why have your daughter go through this, so we are doing all today wow what a great person! Thank you Dr Aves you were right after seeing my child with such pain, I wouldve not put her through it again unless it were an emergency. .Dr Aves and his staff are true meaning of what COMPASSIONATE really means!!! And just as promised they called us to followup on her the very same day. I will be recommending everyone to this office what a great experience!!!!!

I have been trying to call them for the past 2 weeks to get my wisdom tooth consultant but no one has yet to pick up my call or return my call. They need better service. I have 2 wisdom teeth coming in and my mouth hurts so please return my call.

I will literally spend DAYS trying to call this office, with no answer. And they want a confirmation call before one pm the day before every appointment, I’ve had many rescheduled because they don’t answer the phones. I’m beyond irritated at this point. I don’t understand why they have phones if they just don’t use them. Most everything else is great, but how do they expect clients to do anything or communicate in any way if they just ignore us?

First off i’d like to share my experience with my consultation. I went in for a consultation for my 4 wisdom teeth to be extracted and was seen by Dr. Aves. He was very professional and even cracked a joke with me! My appointment was September 15th for 4 wisdom teeth extractions but I was in so much pain I ended up calling on Friday August 21 and asking to be rescheduled for earlier. They put me on the cancellation list before and I was told someone would get back to me. I got a phone call on Monday and was told they had a cancellation and could perform my operation that day but with a different Doctor. I agreed to make it in and it was the best decision I made! I was greeted by Jackie and Maria upon entering. They worked hand in hand with Dr. Elmohd and were all amazing. Jackie was very detail oriented and made sure I understood everything that would be happening step by step. Maria was also very kind & warm and made me feel at ease throughout the procedure! I didn’t get iv sedation and chose laughing gas and the numbing needles so I was nervous. It went very smoothly though and Dr. Elmohd is by far one of the quickest and best dentists I have seen or experienced. He was kind and very professional. Let me tell you his hands were very light I barely felt the pressure during this process and it must have been his technique because I have heard horror stories. He was very compassionate and caring during the extractions. He would ask if I needed a break and if I was ok or felt anything which made a huge difference in the experience. All in all 4 teeth were extracted in about 17 minutes which was amazing! Go see Dr. Elmohd you will not regret it I promise!

Needed all (4) wisdom teeth removed, and was looking for the best in the business to do it. While we had planned on general anesthetic, plans changed suddenly and I needed to stick with just laughing gas. Having severe anxiety, they walked me through the process, helped keep me calm, and were quick and efficient! They have held my hand through everything, and I would definitely come back for any other dental needs. I highly recommend this dentist and office!

I needed three wisdom tooth removed and I was beyond nervous. The communication was great from the front desk to the technicians. I was very nervous about being out to sleep, I don’t even remember anything after the doctor walked in. The procedure was quick, they made sure I was comfortable and informed on what was happening. I would definitely recommend them.

I enjoy reading the bad reviews because i can tell when people actually have a problem, or if they’re just rude and overreacting. I definitely recommend this place! My first appointment took a while for them to get me in, which I understand especially with COVID. Not a big deal! My first appointment they were running a little behind because of a surgery. Once again, understandable. They weren’t running crazy behind either, maybe 30 minutes or so. After my first appointment they got me in a week later for my oral surgery. Super fast! They took my insurance and I barley had to pay anything. The day of surgery which was today, got there to check in then went to my car. Someone came and got me from my car in about 10 minutes. The nurse/dental hygienist whatever position she was not sure what they are called and I don’t wanna disrespect her, anyways her name was Jackie and she was SO sweet. Made me feel so comfortable and even got me a blanket. The doctor came in, went over everything we talked about and made sure I was not nervous and I was alright. Put the anesthesia in my IV and went on with the procedure. I was amazed at how fast it was! They sent my medication to my pharmacy and it was ready when I got there. A few hours later a nurse called to check on me. Overall experience was amazing! The doctor, so sorry I forgot which doctor it was if they have more than one, was very nice and didn’t talk down to me. I hate when doctors do that. He was knowledgeable and kind. The tall front desk girl with the long brown hair was amazing and sweet as well. Shorter lady with blonde hair and bangs was great and of course Jackie as well. Thank you for such a good experience with my oral surgery and I definitely recommend.

Where do I begin the staff is awesome. They will help you with whatever they can. they are very sweet and understanding. the place is so clean. The dentist assistants are funny when they joking around with you and caring and they take their job to the heart. Doctor Renato Aves is amazing I WOULD NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE he is the best I ever seen. Also they call to check on you afterwards.

On Tuesday I had an extensive oral surgery. I left extremely satisfied with the care, love & professionalism. I was very nervous but all the personal were phenomenal. The office was clean and smelled fresh. The experience I had at this location set the bar high. Two days later I was feeling perfectly fine. The doctor did an outstanding job!I commend this office on its high level of customer service and attention to the smallest details.

From the moment I walked in the door of his office the staff was exceptional, professional and detail oriented. After having a bad experience at a Gibsonton area dental office and being traumatized the team of Dr. Aves made it all go away by caring for me, I could not believe how experienced and prompt Dr. Aves was at dealing with a afraid and hurt patient like me, had control of the situation at all times and made feel at ease with painless results. I am going to give this company one star for right now, I will gladly update if and when anything changes. I am giving a one-star review because I have literally been calling this office all day, along with a few insurance representatives and the manager of MCNA ( as she was willing to try to find another doctor) we all have been unable to get in contact with this office to make an appointment! My referral is in the portal and has been approved everything is a go, confirmed by insurance just this office doesnt and wont pick up the phone! WHEN and IF I can ever get an appt, I will tell you when, how far out that is and how the appointment went (doctor, office, procedure). ***UPDATE****Was able to get through however was unable to book an appt. due to the ins portal being down, the representative Mary was very sweet and helpful so I gave another star. Hopefully I will be given more, I will update as possible.

Good afternoon, I had an appointment for November. I had a procedure done in January that went well and the staff was amazing also, however i received a phone call last week while working (call center) and the individual informed me that the dentist wasnt going to be available on the scheduled date i infromed her that it was good timing bc i was working and she told me my appointment was scheduled and hung up the phone. In addition to me still to have my dental needs meet,nor being offered to see a different provided that was rude and unprofessional and i have yet to speak with anyone regarding an appointment.

When i was there they showed me love. I have alot of health issues that most wont tuch me im high risk.but they took me in with open arms

I was very nervous when I went to get 2 teeth pulled but from the office to the Dr I was made to feel comfortable. Especially a shout of praise to Judy and Linda who had to fight with insurance to get this procedure done. I felt no pain while the Dr was working and it was over quicker than I expected. I was informed what to expect and do for the next few days. Within an hour someone from the office was calling to check on me. I will definitely recommend this office and Dr Aves.

The best dental office I’ve ever been to. Sarah was very sweet and polite best customer service I’ve dealt with in all of Florida to be honest. The doctor’s assistant, Jose was awesome very informative and personable treated me with respect and was exceptionally polite. The doctor was great he got right to the point and answered all questions I had about my wisdom teeth. No time wasted at this office, I had such a great experience here.

They don’t even answer their phones. How am I supposed to schedule my first appointment if they never return calls? I have my wisdom teeth coming in and one of them is angled to damage my other teeth and need it to be removed immediately but can’t even get a call back. Been trying to get through to them for 3 days and just can’t.

Hands down the best dental experience Ive had in my 40 years. Dr. Aves office was state of the art and it was obvious he took pride in making his patients feel comfortable. His receptionist greeted me with a smile and his dental hygienists were extremely professional and educated.My initial tooth implant procedure took no longer than 20 minutes and I was back to work the next day. Very Impressed! The few things that impressed me over in doctor’s Aves - West Water’s Ave office was the office environment. Friendly, calm, caring, bilingual, clean, comfortable and helpful but more importantly I was pleased with the fact that I’ve finally found someone experienced that takes time to explain everything in detail and followed the proper safety protocols to perform my dental procedures. I very disappointed in this business. I had an appointment for next month and I called to see if they took a different Insurance next month because mine will be changing . They said no they wouldnt take insurance. I said okay thank you and we both hung up. But she never said okay Im going to cancel your appointment or would you like me to cancel your appointment or pretty much anything. So then Id call back later and found out that they were supposed to call me to let me know that they werent taking my insurance anymore and my appointment would be canceled anyways. Why wouldnt have just told me on the phone when I called the first time to talk to them. Also they are not very nice on the phone to be honest. And by that I mean I felt like I was bothering them. But their job is supposed to be taking appointments and helping the people on the phone. The second lady was actually nicer than the first lady.

Can someone call me back? Ive been calling trying to make an EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT but no one will pick up the phone.

My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Aves. The staff is super friendly and professional. They answered all of our questions that we had before and after the surgery. Dr. Aves is a very compassionate and confident doctor. Later that day, we received a phone call from their office to check on my daughter. My wife had a chance to go over the instructions again since she was not present for the surgery. My daughter is healing well and I would like to thank Dr. Aves and all his wonderful staff once again.

I had to get an anxiety pill to get myself there calmly but all my worries were for nothing. The novacaine was top notch! Didnt make my whole mouth numb like other places and wore off quickly while still preventing pain from the extraction till I got my prescription. Loved it! Wish I had gone to them much sooner!!!

I really can’t say enough about this place. I was EXTREMELY nervous about having an extraction after a terrible experience somewhere else and the staff here is AWESOME! Particularly their Hygentist Amanda....she spent time explaining every step to me and preparing me for what was going to happen. She went above and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced to make sure I was ok for the procedure. She was wonderful! Even called and spent 20 mins on the phone with me the next day! Dr. Aves is great at what he does! He was quick and gentle and made sure I was properly numb and not in pain. I can’t explain how much I was dreading this day but I would go back there again in a heartbeat! :)

Amazing service! I was having wisdom tooth pains and was referred by Dr. Garber after my top right wisdom tooth had decayed. I had surgery for that and healed within a week. Two weeks later I was back for the other three and couldnt remember getting surgery. Did not experience dry socket at all. The staff was very friendly and straight to the point about what to expect. I highly recommend Dr. Sean D. Walcott, he is one of the best. After a hard time looking and finding the right doctor to help me with my oral surgery. I can say now that I am very pleased with the results. He is very caring, takes the time to listen to your concerns and explains the procedures very professional...glad I found him, you wont regret it.

This place is awesome. Went there to have 23 teeth extracted and was EXTREMELY nervous and staff made sure i was completely comfortable. Very fast process as within 2 weeks i had consultation and surgery. They had answers to all of my questions and doctor was even available Sunday morning to talk to me about concerns i was having. I highly recommend this place to anyone especially if you have a phobia of dentist. I remember getting IV for sedation and then being at home. Nothing from procedure which is great!

I got to my appointment and was impressed with the office. When I signed in I was told my appointment was at their office next door. The office next door was nothing like the main office. It was dirty and dated. The office staff was not pleasant. The office manager could be heard gossiping from the waiting area. The “doctors assistant” was extremely arrogant. He took me to the main office to have X-rays done. He spent more time talking about cars with another employee rather than taking X-rays. By this time I was annoyed. To top everything off the office manager has the nerve to tell me they are going to give a discount because I’m a self pay patient. The cost for self pay is 5k!! 5k to remove premolars. I have insurance which I provided and they verified when I scheduled my appointment. These people are incompetent and crooks!

Had 2 dental implants placed and they look amazing. Dr. Aves, Amanda, Jose and entire staff are wonderful! Highly recommend!

What’s the point of having phones if you never answer them?

Dr Aves was so kind and compassionate during our implant consultation. I was very embarrassed and he alleviated all my fears. I am happy to report that im moving forward and it has been painless and ateess free, even for a coward like me. You cant beat the prices either! Keep up the amazing job. The entire team makes you feel comfortable and in very capable hands.

I had to have 4 teeth pulled b/c of gum disease/diabetes. I found Dr. Aves and his team to be professional, courteous and patient. Im terribly afraid of needles and needed anesthesia for the procedure. Everything went extremely well, so well, I kept checking to ensure the teeth were gone, b/c I felt no pain afterwards. Awesome dental group, I highly recommend them to everyone.

Be prepared to wait forever even if you have an appointment. My girlfriend had an appointment for 1030 she didnt get called in till after noon. So good advice clear your schedule for the rest of the day

I am so glad I went to the Tampa Bay OS and dental implants to get all of my wisdom teeth out. The staff is welcoming and all of my questions were answered by Dr. Caribas, Ms. Jackie, and the ladies at the front desk. I felt comfortable here and that is great because the thought of getting my wisdom teeth out horrified me, all 4 have been removed and i am healing very well thanks to Dr. Caribas!

This 5 🌟 is for door number 7712 I had a great experience with them ... The other building number 7720 will get a rating of a zero 🌟 because thats the lowest rating you can do they are very rude and said what they can and can not do was false 7712 canceled the 7720 appointment like they said they couldnt. If I have any more promblems ill always choose 7712

I called the Tampa Westchase office this morning spoke to Julie I really appreciate how honest and up front they were with me I work in dentistry myself and have done it for years and I know what had to get done ✅ they worked me in and educated me about why I was in pain and how the procedure would go and how to recover Doc C was awesome and his assistant she’s very nice and had me laughing after a surgical extraction I will definitely go back for my last third molar to be done as a cash patient best experience ever and didn’t feel taken advantage of best OS referral ever!

Dr. Is pleasant. Office staff s l o w & not knowlagable about forms to be signed prior to surgery. I needed to make a second trip to fill out forms but once arrived waited 1 hr to sign. Not enough room to sit as they are very behind schedule, over 1.5 hrs behind. People standing outside and all over loby waiting.

I love this place! I visited this dental office for the first time yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised with my entire experience. I went in with my son (they had someone watch him for me) and did a consultation for extraction and they ended up pulling both teeth out the same day instead of scheduling me to come back and get it done. I am beyond happy and appreciate them soooo much. I am really hard to please lol and I dont really write reviews so when I do, please take my word that these people are amazing! Oh and Jose (I think hes a dental assistant), was so supportive and very thorough with explaining everything and what to expect before, during, and after. Dr. Avez was quick and and you could could really tell how well experienced he is. The staff is very friendly and so helpful. The only thing i can really say is that the wait time was a little lengthy but then again i was a new patient so i guess that was standard. overall i will say this.. I live in Orlando and I would make this 1.5 hour drive EVERY time just to keep coming here!

I schedule an appt 3 months ago for my son for Nov 5. They called me the day before to let me know they had to reschedule for for Nov 13. I called the Friday before to confirm the time and they told me they had to reschedule again but they didnt have any appointments available until March of 2019. Really?? Will not recommend this place at all! They should cancel the later appointments to accomodate the ones already schedule! Not a happy client at all!!

I’m super anxious when it comes to the dentist. I was having a lot of pain when my bottom two wisdom teeth started coming in. The Tampa Bay Institute of Oral Surgery scheduled my appointment quickly and with ease! Dr. Caribas and his staff explained the entire process for me and were so kind and patient with me as I tend to get incredibly anxious! When I went in for the surgery everyone was very kind and even lent me a blanket because I was shaking so much. My veins are very small so it took two attempts to insert the IV, but they were very gentle and I experienced no pain. Before I knew it I was out and the surgery was done in 30 mins. Today I had some pain about five days later and I went into the office and Dr. Caribas was able to correct the issue (bone fragment) quickly and even gave me a note to bring back to school. I dread the dentist but Dr. Caribas and his staff made me feel at ease and were so kind! If I ever need another procedure related to my jaw I’ll be back!

I went to have four teeth pulled the doctor only gave me 5 pain pills and that’s it told me I need to buy over the counter ibuprofens my mouth is in pain I have had my tooth pulled never have I only had 5 pain pills I wouldn’t recommend this place for nobody the doctors don’t care and they are racist the whole staff is Spanish and then tend to treat them better please I beg never go here if you are getting teeth removed

I went to Dr.Caribas for extraction of my upper wisdom teeth. I didnt experience alot of pain nor did i experience alot of swelling. i think he did a great job and i would recommend to anyone!

Had An Appointment At 10am Called To Let Them Know I Would Be A Few Mins Late Got There At 10:16 To Be Sitting And Waiting Until 11:43 Before Any One Would Answer My Question On Why I Was Still Sitting In The Lobby Get In The Back A Lil After 12 To Find Out The Lady At The Front Desk Pushed My Appointment Back To 11 Without Saying Anything To Me About It On The Phone Nor In The Office (Very Bad With Communication) Talking With A Few Of The Staff I Find Out Not Only Was My Teeth Not Getting Pulled But I Sat For 2 Almost 3 Hours For A Consultation Then The Dentist Dr .Axes Aves What Ever His Name Is Is Very Rude And I Would Tell Anybody Dont Watse Your Time Or Money Here These People Dont Communicate With You And They Are Very Rude ..

I went in to have seven teeth extracted and payed to be put under; and I have VERY difficult veins, nurses and even doctors have a very very hard time getting an IV started and even to get blood which I told the Oral Surgeon but he said he could do it No Problem. After he had stuck me with THE SAME NEEDLE he finally got blood and went ahead and started pushing and I told him was missing and at that some time you could finally see where my arm blew up. Then he tried a few other places still using the exact SAME NEEDLE and blew my arm in a second place. At this point my arm was really hurtingbut because my teeth were hurting so bad I didnt want to wait any longer so he continued to look for places to stick me and still using the same needle. Then he got a tiny vein very close to surface and started injecting the anesthesia but I could tell he had blown the vein already due to pain it was causing me. However, he told me it was the medication burning and my vein was fine, well it never fully knocked me out and I was screaming and crying the entire time. OF Course he numbed my entire mooth thankfully but I still felt the needle injections for the numbing and pressure and some pain from the extracting of all 7 teeth. My boyfriend came back expecting to see me still really out of it but instead he saw me wide awake and my face covered in tears and he demanded to know from the nurses why was I so awake and upset. From my mouth being numb and full of cotton it was hard to understand me but I showed him ALL of the marks up and down on my arm and the three locations where he blew the veins and he could understand that I was saying he missed! I didnt get the and anesthesia and Ive been awake the entire time!!! My boyfriend was very upset after hearing that from me and the nurses just wouldnt answer at all; plus the 8 or so bruises just from being stuck trying to get a vein and then the huge bubbles under my skin in the 3 locations where the surgeon went ahead and pushed the meds caused to politely but firmly ask to speak to the doctor. The reply blew he and I BOTH AWAY.The surgeon stated that I received 3× the amount for someone my size & when I stated that was because he missed each time. His response to that was I had a very high tolerance and it was not his fault and that I was comfortable the entire time. I truly could not believe what I was hearing coming out of his mouth!!!! He and every nurse in there KNEW DAMN WELL I was fully awake screaming and crying the ENTIRE TIME. Then he said I dont know what you want from me but I am not apologizing; I did nothing wrong. With complete disgust I got up with my boyfriend and we left after grabbing the aftercare instructions and prescriptions. If I had actually gotten anesthesia I wouldnt have been able to walk out and then go to target on the way home to get my script filled; If I actually had received the anesthesia I would have been sound asleep.Now with my experience being said before the date of my appointment The Oral Surgeon had a very kind bed side manner and all of his staff were very nice even the day of this horrible botched tooth removal his staff were very nice even the Dr. was nice before he started having trouble getting a vein then he and the nurses in the surgical room became very rude from then on.NEEDLESS TO SAY I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE EVER!!!!!

I havent had any extractions done yet I go tomorrow but when I did my consultation he was very nice I didnt have any problem with him at all but other than that he was very patient with me he was not in a rush tomorrow is my surgery day lets pray all goes well....😇😇😇.....OOOKKK TODAY I DID MY SURGERY THIS AND IS GREAT HE DID MY IV THATS THE ONLY PINCH I FELT ON MY HAND I WE JOKED FOR A FEW THE I WOKE UP AND HE WAS DONE MY DENTURES WHERE IN DIDNT KNO I WAS SLEEP LOL....HE IS THE BEST DR.AVES

Everything was great until I discovered they left a piece of the root tip in my gum now I’m at home in so much pain

Dr. Aves was rude. He extracted my tooth and twisted and broke it off so badly that bone fragments have been coming out of my gum for weeks and it has been extremely painful since it was done. The stitch he put in came untied and fell out the day after the procedure im guessing from all the inflammation from the ferocity of his tooth pulling. Horrible experience and i would not recommend him to anyone.

This place is ridiculous. Canceled my first appointment that I made 2 months in advance. I have been in serious pain for 3 months. Then when they reschedule i wate an hour and half before having to leave because I have to be at the airport. Silly me thinking 3 hours was enough time for a consultation.

Awful. I would not recommend. I had made an appointment with this place months ago, I filled out everything they asked for, provided my insurance...etc. Only to drive there, over an hour away, for them to tell me they couldnt help me because of my BMI. I dont disagree with the safety of the matter, it is understood that I am not small by any stretch, however, they wasted months of my time. Im in EXTREME pain. I need literally all of my teeth extracted, I have an infection, and told them Im taking Tylenol and ibuprofen like candy. They tell me taking Tylenol and ibuprofen like that is dangerous but also wouldnt prescribe pain relief...what would you like me to do then?! I would love to eat a healthier diet but my teeth break every time I eat, my tongue is cut up from my broken teeth (some of which Ive had to resort to filing myself at home because they hurt me so bad.) My real issue is that I could have been looking for other help if they would have just read the paperwork I submitted before my appointment. Its incredibly frustrating. The DA Juan has no bedside manner at all. I had to ask the dentist to make him leave the room. I have severe panic disorder and even when the DA saw me going into a full blown attack (I told him too) he just got frustrated with me. I usually take a heavy dose of Valium before going to a dentist..I make them aware, this wasnt unexpected by any means. All in all, very disappointed. I went in with hope that my 6 years of pain was about to be over and now, Im starting all over...fml.
