We had an amazing experience with Sylvan learning at Westchase.My son was getting ready to take the High school placement test (HSPT) and we decided to go there. My son loved the sessions and the teachers as well. Crystal was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. Not only did he get accepted to his desired high school but he also got a scholarship for getting an outstanding score on the test. We will definitely be returning for my daughter when it’s her time to go to high school. We strongly recommend Sylvan Learning at Westchase.

I took my daughter there for SAT prep, communication was broken since beginning, but I gave them benefit of doubt and wasted my child precious time and hard earned money with no results and no improvements

I highly recommend Sylvan of Westchase! My son is in 8th grade and needed help with the HSPT so we called Sylvan of Westchase. He wanted to get into Jesuit, so we knew he had to be properly prepared. Crystal was wonderful to work with, always attentive, straightforward and professional. All the tutors were excellent, especially during this stressful time. They were able to flip to remote when my son had to quarantine and keep him successfully on track with his prep. He needed a good refresher in a few areas and a lot of test taking strategies and tips. He got everything he needed and more. All the tutors he worked with were professional, attentive to how he learned, caring, and helpful during every session. He received solid instruction and valuable tips that gave him more confidence at test time. At his last session before the test, Mr. Meyer gave him the best pep talk of what to do the night before, how to handle the essay portion Jesuit requires, how to relax and gave him a good boost of confidence. In a short time he got to know my son and knew exactly what to say to help him. That is a great instructor, a person who can help with the academics and the mental side. We applied to Tampa Catholic as a back up and to Jesuit. He received the Pope Francis Merit Scholarship at TC, scoring in the top 2% on the HSPT and was accepted into Jesuit, scoring High (top 6-10%) in 4 sections of the test and Above Average (top 20% or higher) on the other 4 sections. Thank you to Sylvan for helping him achieve his goals. It was the boost he needed for sure!

I will sincerly recommend this learning center to any person because there i have taken the best service and learning ever, as well as to recognize the outstanding and dedicated sylvan workers as persons that deserve the best in this world because they are the ones that are showing and improving the students path to success on life, but I do need to thank an special person called Crystal, she is patient, always giving motivation. Therefore a 5-star review is small for this center, you all deserve more. Thank you!

They were essential for my children to learn English quickly. I am also very grateful for the excellent work during the schooling period at home.

NO MASKS!! Adults and students walking in and out and being tutored with no masks on! I asked 2 teachers and the Director why are they allowing students in the building, in the same room as my grandson (who is masked) to not wear a mask? There is a mandatory mask sign on the front door and the Director said they are not enforcing it it! This place has plenty of money to hand out disposables but dont care about the safety of children in the midst of a pandemic! Pathetic, Tragic and Shameful! Beware dont entrust your child here!

What an amazing group of professionals at this Sylvan! I was concerned with my daughters academic levels and comprehension of math at her school so I decided to get an assessment completed by Sylvan. Crystal helped my daughter and I during our time at the learning center. The whole experience from beginning to end was extremely amazing. During my grandsons tenure at Sylvan we have seen a tremendous improvement! He is more confident at school amongst his classmates when asking questions. His reading level has increased and he enjoys school now. The staff at Sylvan is wonderful and their patience and understanding show how they truly care!!

We have had tremendous success through Sylvan Learning Westchase. We were looking for ACT / SAT tutoring, and we found the perfect center right in our backyard! Crystal spent a long time with us during our initial consultation to help us figure out exactly what type of help we needed. The group classes are so small that it is basically one on one attention. The study guides and instructors are perfect for helping students get ready for any standardized test. The first test my daughter took was the ACT, and her scores jumped significantly after going to Sylvan. She later went back for SAT specific instruction, and again - huge increase in her scores. I highly recommend Sylvan Learning of Westchase for anyone looking for help in preparing for standardized testing of any kind. They know how to help the students succeed! Everyone there is so nice. They make sure every month to meet with the parents to update the parents on the children progress. They actually really care if everyone is progressing. Im very happy with the way they treat my son and he is having fun learning at the same time.

We have a high school senior with great grades but average test results for the college required SAT and ACT. Hes a great kid that puts in the effort for good grades but it doesnt come easy. Sylvan staff identified the missing pieces in his past education and made the corrections he needed to maximize and guide his reading and comprehension capability. The staff was incredible! The support provided via the plan Crystal developed was incredible! It took two months of Sylvan tutoring but the scores came back with unbelievable improvement which led to acceptance in the engineering schools of all three colleges he applied to. I cant be more satisfied with the results and my son is confident in his ability to achieve the academic goals he has set. My family used the services at Sylvan Westchase (in Tampa) for over five years. Both of our daughters took advantage of the reading comprehension and SAT prep. The instructors are top notch and the staff is very helpful. We love Crystal and Sabrina and thank them for all the thoughtfulness they have showed over the years. Both girls increased their school grades and did very well on SATs after the prep courses. Would absolutely use them again in the future!

This place has been awesome for my children. It helped one of them get into a very competitive high school on their testing training and has helped both of them become more confident on skills that they may not be as comfortable on as others. I recently signed my daughter (6th grade) up for tutoring. She has been struggling with reading and math. With her work being as advanced as it is, I am not much help when she doesnt understand her homework. We are starting with the Club program and my daughter is coming in 4hrs a week. I cant speak to results of the program yet, as we are still new but she is happy with the instructors she has been paired with and the happy, confident look on her face when I pick her up, makes me feel good about my decision to go with Sylvan. Ill write another review after we have a bit more time in the program.

I had such a wonderful experience at the Sylvan Learning Center of Westchase. I attended Sylvan in preparation to take my GRE Test. I was a little apprehensive to attend tutoring as an adult student, but my tutor, Sabrina, made me feel comfortable and confident during the whole process. Math has always been my biggest struggle and I had not seen or reviewed the material in years. Sabrina did an amazing job breaking down concepts, and helping me to conquer the material and my hatred towards math. I am so thankful that I attended Sylvan and the great impact it had on my career path moving forward!

Our daughter fell behind in all classes during the first half of the year and was struggling to get organized and catch up in multiple classes. Tutoring at Sylvan in Westchase has helped her turn it all around. Not just with her grades and homework support (Fs have turned to As in all classes), but with her study skills, reading comprehension, math, organization and time management. My daughter was struggling in reading, she had very low self-esteem, and trying to get her to complete her homework was a task that took hours every night. We went to Sylvan to help her with reading, but what she has gained is so much more valuable. Yes, she is able to read faster and more fluent, and her comprehension has improved as well... but what we did not expect was the amount of confidence she would gain from her sessions at Sylvan. She is happier, and working hard to maintain her A/B average in school. Crystal and Sabrina are outstanding and their dedication to the kids at Sylvan is amazing.
