HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I have been working with Lyl and Spanish Consultants for about a year, and I have learned a lot and improved my Spanish. Lyl is very responsive and a natural teacher who placed me at the right level based on my prior exposure to Spanish. We work over zoom which is great for scheduling, and she is always available to give me suggestions about learning outside of class. Spanish Consultants is the one Tampa Bay area company focused on professionals, which is important to me because I am an attorney with a lot of bilingual clients. I am very pleased with the training and support Spanish Consultants has provided me as I start my quest to become multilingual. I started Spanish Basics with apprehension, I completed the course with a confidence that I will succeed in my goal. The instructors were amazing. They were very are attentive to the needs of the individual while engaging the whole class in the learning experience. The class room was always a safe place, where individuals were respected and effort was celebrated. I really appreciate the variety of teaching tools used, using visual, written and audio tools to re-enforce lessons. The tools combined reading, writing, pronunciation, vocabulary and conversation into efficient lessons that fostered true understanding. I am genuinely excited to continue my training with Spanish Consultants.

A colleague and I started classes with Lyl Polanco at Spanish Consultants to help us communicate with our clients who are based all over Latin America. We just finished our first couple months of classes and have been very impressed. She custom designs lessons and vocabulary that is relevant to you, your business and your intended use of the language (to include cultural and colloquial advice that varies from country to country) She also engages other platforms for you to use as practice between sessions and enhance the speed of learning. Such a fun, engaging and worthwhile course. You learn Spanish with a variety of resources and approaches as well as learn vocabulary and practice grammar around relevant topics you’ll actually use in Spanish conversation! The group settings are collaborative and fun. Highly recommend!

I have been struggling to find a long term, consistent, tutor for Spanish. Spanish Consultants instructors are patient (very) and helpful and make the class fun (as fun as learning a new language can be for a 50 year old anyway). I look forward to the classes every week, I LOVE using ZOOM and studying from home and I plan on being with Spanish Consultants for as long as it will take me to easily write the same review I just did, only en Español :-)

I signed my husband and myself up for a Spanish class to help prepare him for traveling to meet my family in South America. He had no past foreign language experience while growing up, so it was all new to him. I am very impressed at how much material the class was able to convey in a short amount of time. The class was very enjoyable. After just a few classes, he was comfortable starting and engaging in simple conversations, he understood Spanish pronunciation, and started to develop listening skills (listening for cognates to grasp general gist of a conversation on TV). I highly recommend taking a class or three from the pros at Spanish Consultants!

I’ve been looking for Spanish classes for adults for years. I finally found Lyl, and I’m so glad I did. I completed the first course and I couldn’t be happier. During the pandemic, she accommodated us by meeting online. Lyl is very helpful, professional and made the class enjoyable! She really loves teaching, and it shows. Fantastic class, would be a bargain at double the cost. The class is fun, really fun, not like taking high school Spanish. I got so much out of the class, with the small group size each person has more interaction in a relaxed atmosphere.Also, if you have never had the opportunity to study Spanish with a native Spanish speaking instructor, I was and am impressed how much of a difference it made in my pronunciation.

A beautiful and intimate environment to learn spanish. I have always wanted to learn and stumbled upon the spanish consultants via google. Went to my first beginner class and had a wonderful time. The professor was lively, energetic and passionate. Not to mention extremely accommodating. Even after working, I am happy to be able to learn for 2 hours once a week and would recommend anyone to commit to their learning with spanish consultants!

Best class ever!! Taking classes with Lyl has been such an impactful experience for me. I have wanted to learn Spanish for years and kept putting it off, but Lyl teaches a fun class and we get through so much material! I am shocked at how much we learned in the first 8 weeks. She is patient and so passionate about what she does and it shows. She cares about the success of each and every student and also learned English as an adult, so she understands how hard it can be to learn a new language late in life. All of the students are great too!! We learn from each other and feel comfortable making mistakes and speaking up to test out our skills. Also, the class views are amazing!!
