Been going here for a year now and feel like theyre a trustworthy shop. Never felt cheated or beat upon to make extra service. Got tires here too. Cheaper than anywhere I looked for the same brand/model.

Expert service on my Infiniti I-35. Replaced alternator at half the cost of what the Dealer wanted and performed the service the same day! Plus a warranty twice as long as the Dealer. Super friendly !! Couldnt be more pleased. Highly recommended. Thanks Tim.

These guys told my mother her head gasket needed replaced. The actual issue after having a trustworthy shop check it out? The valve cover gasket leaking oil.. they diagnosed her vehicle with everything except what was actually wrong with it. Mainly because what was wrong with it wasn’t worth much in parts and labor. Trying to scam women who believe anything a shop says = 1 star. Don’t trust these people.

I was referred to McLeods and glad I was. I took my car to a dealership for engine light that was coming on and off and told my thermostat needed to be replaced and was quoted $800.00 and they would have my car for 5 days and I would have to pay for a rental during this time. I knew that cost was way to much for what needed to be repaired, so I called Tim at McLeods and was quoted less then $250.00, and in addition my car would be repaired and ready the same day I dropped it off!! The owner is honest and personable and I will be coming here for all car needs in the future. BEST EXPERIENCE and I would recommend them to anyone who needs car repairs.

Moved here from WI and Toyota dealership had a list of things they said needed to be fixed. Took my car here and they were so honest and said it did not require most of the list. So happy to have found a good auto service to bring our cars!

Tim called in the morning to tell me what needed to be fixed and he gave me an estimate. I okayed the estimate and by 3:30 he called to say that the work on my car was complete! I used a debit card over the phone and was able to pick up my car after they closed! McLeods cam highlyrecommended to me

McLeods is a old school auto shop. If it aint broke, they wont tell you it needs to be fixed. You can trust that they will treat you fairly and take good care of your car. They have been servicing my vehicles for 20 years. I would give them 6 🌟 if I could.

Brought my 2002 BMW 525i there to have some work done and one of the tasks was to replace the drivers window regulator. Wrong part was shipped so it sat on their lot for 2 days. They covered the window (stuck in down position) with a plastic bag and used masking tape to hold it on - masking tape - in Florida - in the hot sun - on a black car. The masking tape is still stuck to the car and the residue is not coming off the paint. The mechanic removed only one screw (there are 2 on this model) to get the door panel off, breaking the seconds screw hole on the door panel and put it back together with only one screw holding the panel on. He also ran wires through the door frame and 3 days later the window jammed on the wires, then severed two wires causing a short and a window not working, again. Said I needed a new tail light assembly without removing the assembly, did not check the AC as they said they would. They did, however replace the coolant reservoir and the thermostat (which I provided), but told me I needed a fan clutch and a fan shroud and charged me over $800. I will never go back and will never recommend them.

There arent many mechanic shops I trust, but I trust McLeods

Been doing business w Tim for over 20 years. After charging me almost $700 to take apart dash and install air conditioner damper and reinstalling dash the mechanic accidentally broke my speaker cover. Now I have a 4 inch wide HOLE in my dash board on drivers side. I dont live in the rich neighborhood the business is located in so I guess its ok to do this and not take a labor loss and offer to either fix or offer some $$ off my bill even if its $10. I guess his mortgage is due and no compensation for the people not so fortunate. I will never refer or do business w McLeods again.

August 2018 took son’s truck in before he left for school in Tallahassee to do an overall check and to verify some work recommended by another mechanic. McLeod’s determined such repairs were not necessary-saved us $900, changed the oil and sent him on his way:)November 2018 son took truck in over Thanksgiving Break for A/C blowing warm air, which was a new issue.We were in a time crunch, but McLeod’s took time to look the issue over and resolve in a way that the A/C would cool for the time being until Christmas break when we could leave the truck long enough to have sensor replaced.You can bet we will take it back to such an honest place with nice people. McLeod’s isn’t in the business of ripping customers off...Highly recommend!

Found a tire leak and patched it; something two other chain shops couldnt seem to find, even after I insisted it lost air when mounted on my vehicle. Also said I didnt need front brakes when one of these chain shops told me I did. Good, honest work.

The guys were great. They changed the oil and checked everything out, kept me in the loop, and got the car wonderful in just 1 hour. KUDOS!

Tim is the man. You can bring the part and he will just charge you labor. Labor is more expensive then Im used to but in Tampa, its high. These guys do a good job and look over stuff for nothing.I even took my crashed Toyota to them to look over and make sure it was safe to drive to Naples. They looked it over for nothing. Great honest dudes.Way better then Big Mechanic, they should be in jail!

My only hesitation for rating this 5 stars..(usually Reserve 5 star ratings for my opinion of perfection!)..is that theyll get so busy! So selfishness aside, No joke bottom line I recently purchased a used vehicle, took it in, with no appointment when my windows wouldnt roll down they said pull your car up right away someone looked at it worked on it had the part installed it charged me under $20 I was in/out in 15-20 min the service is top-notch the people are just so friendly..helpful its where I go no brainer for anything car-related I need!

Overall experience was good at first. Later, after the job was performed, and was poorly done as I found out. I talked to the owner about what was happening he was smiling like it was a joke. Did not want to look at the job but said for me to bring it back in even though it was sitting right out side so he could have it looked at later next week.He liked looking out the window at traffic instead of looking at the paying customer in front of him.Not cool and not a place I would refer others to take there cars they rely on to get worked on... or should I say laughed at for expecting the job be done to our satisfaction.Snicker-doodle up front lost a good review and a repeat customer.

Brought a vehicle in to be Scoped and Checked specifically for the problem with it and total cost to fix it. The shop called me back and said sorry you are going to have to take it to the dealer we cant figure it out. Come to find out today they have apparently replaced something without our knowledge, and there is no way to prove it now because the actual problem was the motor. This shop does no internal engine work if the problem is more than expected you will be towing it some place else to then delay the process even further.

Every time I go here they are very reasonable and are very honest.

Never taken my personal vehicle there but have taken alot and sent alot of customers. Resonable and reliable are the words ive heard.

Tim and his staff are lifesavers! They have taken the are they honest question and concern away. My car is 15 years old and they care about my safety as much as everyone else.

What more could I ask for? I went in for a grinding noise (likely brakes) and a door lock button knocked inside the sliding door of my van by a frustrated child. I didnt get gouged - just the front brakes needed work, not all four wheels, the lock button issue was fixed for no charge because McLeods said it was no big deal to doand - out of the blue, they fixed a dent in the front passenger door that had made opening the door smoothly something of a problem - without charge. Fair prices and service above and beyond my expectations.

Went here twice. Once the stated they repaired my rear hatch but didnt. They had to refund my money after having the car all day. The next time they broke my power seat and refused to repair it. He told me I had to sue him. Go here at your own risk!
