Sadly disappointed. I have stayed at some nice La Quintas but Motel 6 may be better than this location. Very old and it needs a lot of maintenance!! The staff did treat us nicely and moved us but the second room was only a tad bit better.Cons: Noisy & I mean Noisy Squealing AC unit. Stained carpets, painted shower tiles, water pipe busted under sink, one very hard bed and one very worn out bed... (There was a body imprinted in it.) TV remote was from another planet. No channels matched what was playing and if you channelled up then down the numbers went all over the place. Thought we were in the Twilight Zone. Breakfast was minimal but at least they had something.Pros: I Hop next door!! They will give you a 10% discount if staying at the La Quinta. The hotel staff were very nice and did what they could to be helpful. Close to the Airport but there are a TON of other hotels near the airport.

Positive: The location was very good. I didn¿t take advantage of it, but it right next door to an IHOP and other very good restaurants. While the hotel is very run down, the room had a larger than normal fridge which came in very handy. Also, the A/C was good. Negative: The first room I was in had a large cockroach. No roaches in the second room but that room didn¿t have a seal under the door leading to the parking lot. I had to put a towel at the bottom of the door. It¿s physically run down. Very convenient location! But rooms need major improvements, especially sound proofing and quiet, clean air conditioning. Doors slamming, talking and screaming keep us awake until well after midnight then it all started again at 2:30 am. Great shuttle service. Friendly employees.

It definitely a motel. I’m not sure why it was advertised as a hotel. You can probably pay a little more money and stay at a better hotel. It is conveniently located near the Tampa airport.There were red ants in the bathroom and the rugs were pretty gross. The room are dated but the beds were comfortable.The ladies in the front were nice. The manager (?) just checked me out and that’s it. No “thank you staying at....” or “hope to see you again.” He gave me weird vibes. I’ve worked at hotels and I’m pretty sure they encourage you to be friendly.

Good: Clean room (except a couple of sticky patches on the carpet), nice mini microwave and fridge. Everything was very comfortable and in good service, as well as nice check-in process.Bad: Bathroom could be a little bit cleaner, as well as the carpet being a bit cleaner. The stairs and outside area were a bit dated as well, but manageable.

Positive: By far the best thing about this hotel is that its near the airport and extremely close to my new place of business. I loved being so close to work for the first week. Negative: Too many things to note in just 255 characters, but Ill try. The carpeting was a bad choice for a hotel that welcomes pets. Tile or laminate would be SOOO much better. Especially since it obviously hadnt been shampooed in 20 years. Bugs ran wild too!

Clean and orderly. I had no issues, so it was a good choice to sleep after arriving on a late flight.

We have just checked in, paid a hefty price for a two night stay in a dirty room, no stopper in Bathtub, poop stains on carpet of which housekeeping did come in and clean the two spots up, her white cloth was filthy when she was finished ..This place is a real stain on the other LaQuinta ‘s that we have visited on many occasions..My husband and I are currently not speaking to each .. one blaming the other for not checking the reviews first ..Was looking forward to a nice place to stay while visiting the Tampa Bay Area..Linda Stephens

Rooms are clean good if you need a place to stay briefly. Priced decently. Lots of traffic in and out during the night. Not for family vacation.

Positive: Convenient location Negative: No covers in the room. One of the beds had a fresh stain seeping through that was still wet. Very gross. Changed hotels next day. Hotel in general was not clean.

Room was clean, smelled good. I had a pet friendly room and wouldve never thought there were other pets in the room before. Lady at the front desk was absolutely amazing and sweet. Hotel looks like its being renovated and getting to look nice hopefully it says that way Id like to stay again.

Positive: It was close to the airport. The beds were comfortable. Negative: The shower was gross. It looked like they just put stuff over the cracks in the shower where mold had started to grow. The shower light was disgusting. The carpet was gross. The room also had an odd smell.

Room reeked of cigarettes and mildew. Bathroom tub has air bubbles and not completely flat, felt like I was standing on a trampoline. Cracks in corners of the walls. Found bloodstained towels in bathroom. Thank God I didnt wash my face with it, noticed just in time. Cable was good, bed looked clean but looks can be deceiving. Also this is the first hotel (motel) that I was afraid to walk barefoot in, carpet is covered in stains, its terrible. Had my shoes next to the bed whenever I needed to get anywhere around the room. Ive always had good stays at la Quinta but this was like a cheap motel. I got lost trying to find my room and walked more than i should and in doing so I realized the hotel all around looked raggedy.

The person that checked us in was dismissive, and didnt seem to like to have to get up from the lobby table where he was sitting to check us in. He then took a very long personal call that was using inappropriate language while my 11 year old daughter and I tried to wait patiently after our long flight. I then informed him that we would like to check in as we had to use the restroom, at which point he does not stop talking on the phone and points me towards the lobby restroom. The lobby restroom had not been flushed by the previous user and was completely full of someone elses waste. The sink, floor and door were filthy and my daughter, who was waiting for me outside, said the smell almost made her sick. When I got out the manager was finally finishing up his personal call and started to check us in. I asked if he knew about the operating hours of the restaurant that shares a parking lot with the hotel and the only reply I received was if its open with a shrug. After we were checked in we walked through the lobby to our room down a very dirty sidewalk and water was dripping on our heads under the upper walkway, presumably from the a/c units above. After trying the very sticky door handle for the fifth time we finally got into the room to which my daughter remarked this is a dump.

Never again. Old, dirty and should not be in the Wyndham program. The only good thing was the airport shuttle driver.

Room was adequate, didnt like the long black hair on my pillow though. Nothing special but the price was right, what I didnt expect was I thought the price of my room included my park and fly like other hotels Ive stayed at by the airport but had to pay for parking, this should be advertised. If I would have known this I would have just gotten up early and used a parking garage and saved $40

The price was good, but just be aware of what you get for your money. It is very convenient to the airport and has several eating places withing walking distance. The exterior appears well-kept, but that is where the positives stopped for me.The room interior was a real concern. The first thing I noticed was that the slide latch for the door was torn off completely - which almost was enough for me to checkout and move to another motel. The only thing that gave me any comfort was that it was card access, so hopefully others didnt have access to the room. The door also had a very poor seal (could see daylight around and under it)...allowing water and noise to pass through easily.The wax ring wasnt correct under the toilet, so it rocked forward every time you sat on it and rocked back when you got up again. There was missing caulk and dirty grout all around the tub, very low flow to the shower head (making it difficult to wash your hair) and the water valve wouldnt shut off completely, even when twisting very hard. The carpets had several black spots on them and the closest door handles were loose.Again, it was very inexpensive - as long as you are ok with the poor maintenance and associated lingering concern regarding overall cleanliness.If you found this review helpful, please click on Like.

Had a great night sleep there. Was disappointed that the shuttle wasnt working at 12:15am. From the airport to the hotel. We had to take a taxi that cost $30.

Near the airport, near the mall and Raymond James Stadium. But the place is a little run down, the a/c made a loud squeaky noise, the card reader did not work properly. The staff was great.

We complained three times in 2 days about high levels of noise coming from other guests. The girl at the front desk said she was the only person on duty and could not leave the desk because it was so busy. I dont blame her. The management of the hotel should put enough people on duty to handle the issues associated with a high capacity holiday weekend. We did not feel safe, and we certainly could not enjoy the peace and quiet we expected and paid for. we requested a refund and after several days have only had an email telling us they are investigating.UPDATE: after going back and forth by email they finally agreed to a partial refund. The emails admitted to the problems and apologized, but only agreed to a partial refund.

Dont do it!!! Rooms seem to have been given a weak update and were decently clean but the building is horrendous. Paper thin walls, you will hear every person to each side and outside. Forget opening the curtians because random people are always lingering outside since there is nothing else to do. A hotel in name only! I literally had to beg my company to move me because I couldnt even sleep. No hate to the staff, they were kind and professional, their company is letting them down.

The hotel is quite old, the rooms are pretty dated, the carpet in our room left black stains on our feet(!), our room door wouldnt even seal properly when closed, the whole property has this really shady feel (the wife and I even thought we smelled someone smoking weed in one of the rooms - NOT exposing my kid to that kind of environment!) near our parking spots- I was concerned that at some point someone might break into our cars if we stayed longer than we did. Our experience with the staff was mixed - indifferent when we got there, helpful when we left. We decided check out early, drive 15 minutes away to nearby Brandon and stayed at another La Quinta that is FAR, FAR NICER with much better staff! To be honest, travelers should consider another location aside from this one by Tampa Intl- not worth it for the price and not on par for what Id expect from La Quinta.

Warning stay away. First day shower head barely worked so the next day the offered another room which the A/C didnt work so the maintenance man said its easier for him to fix shower head the the A/C. So the second day I came from in all day training through the company where I work at. The room wasnt clean or bed wasnt made by the third day I come back to room still no cleaning or washed blankets or towels. So I called front desk they told me that unless I call they wont come clean up the room. So I had to walk down to the lobby turn in my dirty towels and than they gave me fresh ones. Bad attitude the pictures are from another LA Quinta false advertisement this place sucks out dated. Not sanitary at all I believe I got the COVID-19 virus here I came back home and started to have flu like symptoms so I went and got tested I came out positive. My company paid for this motel and did notified them the bad experience I had.

Dirty spills on floors, no toiletries, some mold in the shower and the AC units outside screaming a high pitched noise all ours of the night... we paid $700+ for two nights two rooms and were told online we’d have a fridge and a microwave, brought all of our food and had it rot to waste. Constantly had to get new door keys as ours wouldn’t work every other try. Only plus was the woman at the front desk, she was helpful. Definitely not worth what we paid for.

Where do I even start first off the rooms are not the best for the price and mine smelled like sewage. There were people cooking food in the parking lot. Other than that the place was nice and the pool was ok. As long as you aren’t spending much time in the room it’s a nice hotel.

Made reservations for 3 days and paid over the phone. When I got there there was no reservation under my name. I showed that I payed. Then I was told there were no rooms available anyway. Also the man at the front desk was very sick. He kept wiping his nose with his hand then handed me back my card . Very gross. The hotel is filthy, several roaches. The cleaning staff doesnt clean the rooms with any attention to detail. No microwave or mini fridges in the rooms. If your diabetic your expected to leave you medications in the lobby fridge. During a pandemic they want you use the lobby community microwave with strangers, tho they have no paper plates or microwave safe plates or utensils? The employees are indifferent and unprofessional. Worst stay Ive ever had. I travel for work and do 300 stays a year and I rather stay in my car next time.

I had booked a night here March 18, 2021 with booking.com. When I went to check in they told me I wasn’t in there system. I called booking.com, they called the hotel...nothing. They weren’t able to do anything for me. I just spent 3 hours in the lobby, was out $130, and had no answers from anyone! Wasn’t even offered anything for the inconvenience. I ended up having to drive 45mins back home at midnight! HORRIBLE!

I decided to spend money on my wife for the weekend and went for the room with a Jacuzzi. Was very happy to see on my confirmation the line This room includes a coffee/tea maker, hot tub and wireless For the amount I spent, I was hoping it was worth it. Except it wasnt. There was no hot tub and when I asked about it and showed it was what I paid for, i was told, with no remorse or sympathy, that although my room showed the image of the hot tub in the room and showed it on my confirmation, it was only included with Supreme which I would have went for if the 1st room image didnt scam me.So, for about $200 a night I had a regular room, with the thinnest walls in existence as kids and dogs were running through the halls. The elevator broke 3 time while we were there, but we did need some exercise anyway.All in all, there was no reason at all for a rate that high for a room so normal. I stay in a Jacuzzi room all the time in Kissimmee for half the price and they dont have to scam me to get me there.If anything...dont add the line This room includes a hot tub if what you mean is, This expensive room includes access to the public hot tub, which everyone of every room rate will also be using

This place has some of the rudest people in the hospitality industry, the rooms dont come with small fridge, microwave, the shower needs maintaining, No Safety Feature on Pool or in Rooms for child safety locks.Dont recommend for children, TV has Small selections, replays same shows.In reality they lie to get rooms sold. Wyndham or LA Quinta Needs to Step up and inspect the outside of bldg also. .

DO NOT STAY HERE. Pathetic. Wasted almost an hour waiting for a shuttle after promises from the front desk that it was on its way. Took a cab to the hotel, and voila, shuttle was parked with no driver in sight. The front desk did not even have the courtesy to apologize. And, the hotel HAS NO ELEVATORS!!! Super unprofessional.

Ive stayed at other La Quinta Inn properties and expected this to be the same, but was very disappointed. The property was rundown and in need of repair. The rooms were semi-clean, but stunk. The closet smelled like sewer. The carpets were stained and looked dirty. Issues with the keys cards on the room and lobby door.I can at least say the bedding was clean and the beds were comfortable. The air conditioner was working. They did offer a shuttle service to the airport. The property had an Enterprise Car Rental next door and several restaurants nearby. I do not suggest Ihop. The food was bad....Just disappointed....

You get what you pay for. $102.00 across the street from Tampa airport at midnight. There was an odor of smoke in the room e en thkugh theres no smoking permitted in the room. The beds were uncomfortable as well as the pillows all which smelled of smoke.could use some TLC. We didnt feel safe but the front desk at midnight was extremely accommodating and understanding of our situation. DAN at the front desk should get 5 stars. Thank you Dan

I booked a reservation at a different hotel, and upon check-in at 8pm, I noticed that the guests around me were being arrested, some were acting like they were on illegal substances and I was cat-called at least three times. I canceled my 2 day reservation and learned to read reviews. I called La Quinta, and I believe it was the manager who picked up the phone. He stayed on the phone with me to make sure my family and I were okay, and told me he has a room. My entire two day stay, the service was unbelievable, and even though the pool was closed and the bagged continental breakfast okay, my family and I felt safe and secure. Thank you to LA Quinta staff!

Bugs were in the bathroom. Door did not fit well and you could see sunlight all around it. The staff told us the grab and go breakfast was until 10am, but when we got there at 9:20, we were told it ended at 9 on weekdays. Staff was not happy about giving us pre-made bags of stale food that were behind the counter. There was no coffee at 9:20am. Will never stay there again.

The overall experience was one of the worst experience we had. The rooms were dirty, the carpet had stains, the walls had stains. There were mites on the bed which would get stuck to your legs and we got rashes all over our legs. Breakfast is not being served these days but in the advertisement it still shows breakfast included for some weird reason. The building looked old and in bad shape. We booked room for 4 people but still the bath towels in the room were not kept appropriately. Overall a very poor experience. I would give 0 stars if possible.

Staff was great, everything else was disgusting. Stayed long enough to check in, dirt and grime everywhere besides the lobby. Smell got increasingly worse as you get through the hotel, rooms smell terrible and sheets werent even changed. Front desk said this was all normal.

Didn’t expect much from a la quinta, just needed a place to stay for an early morning flight. But wow, the staff was so rude. All night we hear people screaming and blasting rap music so loud our beds were shaking. So we called to kindly ask if there was anything that could have been done about this, the sweet kind young lady ( not ) at the front desk asked for our room number (which we did not feel comfortable giving) so she gave us attitude over the phone as we tried to explain where it was coming from, then she simply hung up on us and the noise continued all night. Do not stay here. Absolutely awful. Definitely worth spending the extra 250 to stay somewhere else

It was the right price for the 6 hours I stayed there. The staff were good but the room was pretty gross. Urine by the toilet and an unkempt shower. The toe nails on the floor were also a little gross and an overwhelming smell of perfume to cover up poor cleaning was pretty bad.

If you have any respect for yourself or any family or friends you might be taking here, DO NOT go here. Even though we booked a “non smoking suite” our room smelt like years worth of cigarettes, mildew, and mold. It made me incredibly nauseous with the smell alone. My boyfriend found a drug hole in one of the walls, the edges had mold in it, and the front desk lady was completely unprofessional and rude.It was so disgusting that we left immediately. despite their refund policy, we will be contacting corporate for our refund. This can’t be La Quinta standards, despite it being a relatively cheap hotel.

Great Hotel Over Rated in Price but a Very Comfortable hotel and Parking Available but for the rate they should not charge for A Parking Spot!

I booked my room though Priceline and was told if I wanted to re-book any additional nights I would have to pay another $100 deposit even though they billed my credit card (instead of just putting a hold on it) which took over a week to get credited back. It was noisy dirty and the staff was rather rude. I stayed one night and found another room.

Dirty.VERY run down.I have photos of ceiling peeling in to tub and black stuff in grout in tiles in bathroom.Kept shoes on, bed good, slept caught early AM flight.

Parking lot was filthy. Bathroom was small. And no availability for handicapped. Some up at 4 this morning to find 4 handicap parking spots were opened when the girl at the front desk told me all the rooms were booked. If thats the case, then a lot of people showed up on foot. Lot of parking spots were open besides the disabled parking.

Worst Motel ever!!! do not spend money in this structure, not in ANY La Quinta inn (btw is a motel not a hotel). Throughout the night I heard people screaming at each other till about 2 Am, following that I called the reception to try to cancel the 2 following nights and check out in the middle of the night. The lady who answers communicated to me that she could not check me out nor know whether I could cancel.The days after they said that could only cancel the last night, resulting in me checking out right away, not consuming the night in the structure, and losing over 250$ way over price night.I try to call Mr. Wilson Medina (General Manager to ask for the 2nd-night refund, and he told me that, they would not refund any further due to the weekend being an event weekend)The moral of the story, this motel charged outraged prices without caring at all about the wellbeing and comfort of the customers. DONT SPEND ANY MONEY THERETotal rip-off. I going to go further with Wyndham company and the best business buro to show what kind of motel this isI dont want others to experience what I had to.

Positive: Location Negative: Phone didnt work. Fridge leaked inside all food went bad. A lamp didnt work. Coffee pot was filthy...shower couldnt control the temp. Staff was Bad. Iv called wanting to speak with te manager with NO response back.
