**Update- we finally heard from someone aside from the original apathetic office person. Our carpet repairs were paid for, ceiling is pretty much fixed, and the issues with the inspection were taken care of. Improving the overall rating, because it seems like the majority of the issues were from one employee**We had a new AC unit installed about two weeks ago. Techs were professional and worked hard on a difficult install. Unfortunately, during their welding our carpet was scorched in multiple places, leaving a strong lingering smell of burning fibers. Several large pieces of the ceiling drywall were also broken through.We were not upset by the damage, as both the techs and the the install supervisor ensured us that all issues would be taken care of. A week later we were told by the office that their contractors do not repair carpet, and no solution was given.Our ceiling is slated to by fixed by a Red Cap contractor on 9/10, three weeks after the damage was done. The company has managed to avoid taking responsibility for the carpet, so we will pay to replace it ourselves. We are also waiting to see when several small issues that failed the inspection will be repaired. I will give the benefit of the doubt that the lag times on the ceiling and failed inspection are due to high summer demand.Hopefully we will be able to update with pictures of a repaired ceiling in a week or so as well as some pleasant and final interactions with the Red Cap office staff.

We are very pleased with the expert service provided by the Red Cap plumber sent to our home. Adrian Miranda quickly diagnosed the issues, thoroughly explained the repairs needed, and had the parts on his truck so the work could be done immediately. We’ll definitely call Red Cap again and will also ask for Adrian!

Great Service from Mr Otis. He did the job with great care and in a timely manner. He explained the charges and what were each item on the bill. After the work, he tested the drain and determined it will not overflow. He was very courteous and through. He verified that the work that Mr Otis did yesterday did work. I had suspected that maybe some blockage (I.e. roots, etc.) was still there. I was extremely professional in the work he did. I do NOT recommend Red Cap. We were getting our kitchen re-modeled so we hired them to disconnect the kitchen plumbing and stove gas line and then to come back 2 days later to re-connect everything. The first part went fine and everything was disconnected. Two days later, however, nobody showed up to re-connect during our given time window. When I called the customer service rep gave multiple different excuses but said someone would come out soon. Still nobody came and I called again and they finally admitted that this person wasnt going to come. I had to call to hear from them.- twice. They were just going to keep lying to me. They tried to reschedule but I told them to send an after hours person which they did. The after hours person came and got the sink and gas hooked up, but didnt do a second part of the job which I said was fine. However, he still said I had to pay the full amount and then to call customer service for the refund of the second part. It was late so I just let it go. However, I then had to call them 3 more times over the next two weeks to get my refund. Nobody even had the courtesy to call back or discuss the issue with me. Based on the terrible customer service and communication I received I highly recommend that you do NOT hire them.

The service today was the annual Plumbing Maintenance Service Contract. The Technician, Steve, was knowledgable and explained a few things to me to be on the look-outfox but not issue to address now. He did need to repair an issue with one toilet. I knew it was giving me concern but just put it off. Steve mentioned I should see a little help with the water bill. Steve was thorough, neat, courteous and completed the work without leaving mess for me to deal with. I just hope other Red Cap service techs are as professional as Steve.

Competent and thorough. Their process is disjunctive: Contractors install, installation department fields concerns, contractor returns. New problem, chief of installation shows up diagnoses, contractors fix. The whole process took two months. System is working well, cooling well and efficiently.

Alberto was very friendly and accommodating. He was able to address our garbage disposal issue quickly and provided cost and additional info upfront. Very pleased with his service.

This was the first time using Red Cap for plumbing issues. Alberto was the service tech and he was great - very friendly, fixed the issues completely and did not try to get me to buy things I didn’t need (which unfortunately happens with some companies). I will certainly be using Red Cap again and would recommend.

There was one gentlemen who was skilled and other than that it was a disastrous experience and the manager called me ‘you people’ in a disgusting/derogatory way after yelling at me and the company doing a horrible job on the install, not finishing and it’s an open inspection on my home! There are heating & pressure issues and multiple things were installed upside down including my shower which they haven’t fixed!Absolute crooked management and horrible attitude of the desk staff at the time of my install in Feb 2021. The installers always had good attitudes though.

Brandon Skidmore did and excellent job of analyzing my problem and saved me MANY hundreds of dollars that another repair company tried to charge me. He could have tried to hit me with other inspection charges, but he was honest and helpful. The kind of employee that will bring Red Cap more business in the future!

Requested to have a natural gas line installed to a new pool heater. They scheduled me w/o incident with a window from 9-12. No call & no show so I called Red Cap and they said that the estimator was out on an emergency call. That was fine so they said he would be at my house between 2-4. No call & show and no show again. At 5:12 I received a text letting me know that my appointment was cancelled and that I would have to call back and reschedule. Seems a bit unprofessional since they were the ones that never showed up so they should have reached out to me to do the reschedule. But they didnt so I called them back the next business day and rescheduled it for the following business day from 1-5, w/o incident again. I then receive a text today, which is the scheduled date for the estimate, informing me that they dont install outdoor gas lines. Not sure why I was never told that from the beginning AND why their website clearly talks about installing outdoor gas lines.VERY unprofessional but I guess when they can pick & choose their jobs this is what we get now.

My ac stopped blowing cold air. I thought ac may have frozen so turned it off but left fan running for the day. Turned ac back on an to no avail on labor day as hot as it was outside I realized I had no choice but to call for help. Ervin the tech was very knowledgeable and found the problem immediately. It ended up being the run capacitor and jump start switch. Little did I know that the 2 year old ac would break the bank once again. $744.00 dollars later we have air again and its better than when the ac was first installed. I also started a maintenance program with them and dont know where my 15 % discount came in. I live in a 2 story townhouse and have never had the upstairs feel the same as downstairs until last night. Thank you Red Cap for having such knowledgeable techs but your pricing is a bit over the top.The reason for the 3 stars is based 100% on pricing.

We had a kitchen sink fixture removed and replaced with a fixture we provided, and also had a slow draining master bathroom sink addressed. Miguel Ramirez was our technician and Miguel was very knowledgeable and he did terrific work.

Michael was the most knowledgeable AC repairman weve encountered in quite a long time! Every question we asked was answered intelligently, and one could tell he was drawing on an in depth knowledge of how the system works, what parts have outlived their useful life, and explained why things are going on with the unit, and what to expect near term and long term. He was able to identify several deficiencies and suggest ways to repair. Ultimately, we will likely replace the unit/system.When you call Red Cap for AC work, ask for Michael so you get the best!

AMAZING service from the start, from the first person that came to look at our broken AC outdoor unit in the middle of the night, the salesman that came the very next day & was very upfront and honest about the units for sale & getting us a good deal & even getting our installation date moved up to the very next day! The installers were very professional & courteous, they made sure everything was professionally completed & checked and rechecked. I don’t think we had a single issue through this whole process. Thanks to the amazing & sincere service we received during this very HOT & UNCOMFORTABLE time when our AC finally went, I will never use another company & will go straight to Red Cap from now on. What an amazing experience on a Sunday night! 24x7 service called at 8PM and Kevin arrived 834PM. Thank you Carolyn!!! the schedule queen. Diagnosed and found my pin hole leak in a copper pipe in the wall and fixed it and stayed for 3 hours to make sure it was done properly. I highly recommend this company and they are 24x7 and have talent like this!!!!

I’ve had plumbing issues for so long, had a few other plumbers come out in the past year and was always not satisfied. Finally called red cap since I always see their trucks everywhere and assumed they were good based on reviews.They Exceeded my expectations… call them in Thursday and they set my appt for saturday. My technician, Daniel R, came promptly to the house, assessed Alllll of my issues and recommended the proper service (replace water heater) which he did all within the same day!!So happy I went with this company, super nice people and so professional. Will definitely call them again in the future.

Hired to repair/replace washing machine water pipes and water valves/connections. The job required cutting into the wall, and was to include wall repair by a 3rd party vendor(who were amazing) and new stainless steel hoses. 2 stars because it works. Customer service is horrible. After fixing the pipes plumber took our washing machine water hoses and didnt replace them or reconnect the washer. The 3rd party vendor was supposed to call to arrange wall repair the day the plumber finished. However RedCap failed to contact them. They knew we were getting our home inspected and there could not be a hole in the wall and pass inspection.. They literally got the work done the day before inspection. Lets add insult to injury here - Plumber used one of our spare bathrooms and didnt flush the toilet which because its a spare we didnt notice right away until it started to smell.

Jack has been a blessing through the entire process. He is very knowledgeable and patient with my 50 million questions. He always returns phone calls and has taken care of every need. Usually I am very pleased with Red Cap.We have used them many times in the past. I was a little disappointed this time because my service call was scheduled between 8 and 12. My technician arrived at 2:45. There was no communication from their office. I wasted an entire day waiting around for service. Aggravating! The tech had to return the next day with a part in the morning. Again, he came at 3:00 and I had no communication from the office. When I called to check the status, I was given the information that he was on his way, but I would have appreciated the office to notify me that the technician was going to be late. Anyhoo, the service itself was fine, warranty was honored, and the service tech, William, was very pleasant to work with.

This was the worst customer service company to deal with. we made an appointment. No one ever showed up after we waited all day. I made several attempts to get someone to call me back and at least give me an update. no one ever calls back. I have been in the service business for 45 yrs. at least have the courtesy to call back. do yourself a favor and call anybody but these jokers. unless you are a glutton for time wasting appointments and have nothing better to do then twiddle your thumbs waiting to be stood up.

Red Cap promptly fixed my upstairs HVAC system which had been improperly repaired by my previous air conditioning service. This was/is great, quick, prompt service by RedCap. William is awesome. He is professional, prompt, responsive, knowledgeable, and takes time to both explain the issues and fully correct all the errors. He goes above and beyond. This is the best A/C service I have ever had in 40 + and therefore I am changing all my A/C service to Red Cap and have already purchased annual service plans, even though the annual service is a little pricey. They are the best.

Serviced Air ConditionThe Technician was on time, he had all necessary information and equipment. Anthony was very professional, he explained in detail all services that were completed. He did an excellent job of being detailed with the service that were provided and what other services that can be offered. A very knowledgeable technician, I will be using their service again.

We had hot water issue, so called them and made an appointment for Friday between 1-5pm. I called Friday morning to confirm the appointment and was told that technician will call when he is on his way. I called back 2:30pm and I was told that we narrowed down window from 4-6pm. I called at 5:35pm as I didnt hear back and was told technician is running late, but hell come. It was 6:35pm and still didnt hear from technician, so I called back and cancelled the appointment for 2 reason: 1. we had to grab dinner and they didnt have clue how long will it take for technician to come over 2. if they cant estimate the time any better, may be theyre not much good at plumbing either. It was complete waste of our afternoon/evening.

What a neat, well spoken, knoledgeable young man they sent out for my AC repair.

I was notified, via text/email/voice, the name (and other relevant information) for the assigned service technician. My technician, Adrian, was very professional, helpful, and quickly advised me of my options. I chose to replace two toilets and I am pleased that I did so. I work from home, so I was kind of wondering how much noise would result from removing and installing two toilets (ranch style house), yet I (literally) didnt hear a thing (and I am a living room away) other than the few times that Adrian walked in and out of the house. The toilets were installed perfectly and there was not one speck of mess left behind. I highly recommend Red Cap as this is my second time using them, in 1 1/2 years, and my experience was similar the first time.

Did a great job. Repaired faucet.. Discovered water pressure was way too high. Installed water pressure gauge. Adrian is a good tech, fast, efficient, knowledgeable, personable.

So originally my review was five stars but I will say reconsider them my evaporator coil went out they quoted me 3k for parts (if I used my warranty it would be 1539 which they said I good then as time progressed they came back with a fake excuse as to why I couldnt) and labor not even for the coolant and charged me 220 to find the leak. I went to jon air for quote and for the part, labor, coolant, and appointment fee it was 1,820 (with my warranty it would be 600 labor 75 appointment fee) talk about an unreasonably large distance in price.They came put Tuesday didnt tell me until monday the following week what the delay was even after multiple calls promising a call back that never happened. I should not have called that many times when I paid them in full for the work they promised and they wouldnt even give me the 220 back for making me wait for 8 days to get an answer and all the promises of the part being in st Pete which is why I paid in full now i lost out on 220 dollar and cant even go through them. I do not recommend the company at all.I even cancelled my monthly membership with the.

I was not impressed with Red Cap Plumbing & Air. My house was built just under 10 years ago and my AC unit is the same age. My motor seized up. As soon as the technician looked and diagnosed the issue, he immediately tried to upsale an entire new system without discussing other options. When we told him we couldnt afford that, he quoted me 940 dollars to replace the motor with labor costs. I managed to get it installed by a competitor at half the cost. I will say I was impressed with how prompt scheduling a technician was and he was on time.

Miguel and coworker were professional and on time. I only interacted with Miguel but he was very informative and direct. Simple unclog drain, was done under an hour with zero disturbances. Only downside was they did not clean the dirty area from the outlet drain after finishing, but to me that does not warrant a decrease in ratings.Would use again.

He was equal parts pleasant and professional, everything an experienced service tech should aspire to be. Our last encounter with RedCap was a nightmare of uncalled for misogyny. William was a breath of fresh air, the polar opposite of our last encounter. He finished swiftly, left us his information and his recommendations. I cannot say enough good things about him. If you go with RedCap, as for him! He’s the best.

Jack Adams - our technician for today - was outstanding. He ran the exploratory camera through our whole system and showed me any issues or concerns that he had. Was very detailed and gave us more information and several options to consider.

Need to get a bigger unit for my house to help with cooling. They explain everything step by step what needed to be done and even have options on what needed to be done now and what could wait for a later time due to finances. I felt no pressure in having to get something done that wasn’t needed.

Red cal plumbing and air is all around a great company. I called them and they answered promptly. The answering service is very nice and helpful. The next day they were able to come out and install a brand new hot water heater. Steven G explained each of the options and had it all organized on the tablet for us to see the prices. He was very knowledgeable about all the products. He did a great job installing the water heater. Cleaned up the area he was working in and even took the old water heater. He came inside and made sure we were getting the water to the temperature we wanted.

The master plumber did a very good job. He really cares about the customer, and it shows in his work ethic.

Incredible service! Our hot water heater was replacement was completed within 3 hours of making the first call for service. Daniel called within 20 minutes if that first call to let us know he was on his way. We then received a picture & background information to let us know who would be coming to our home. Daniel presented various options to choose from. Our first choice did not fit, so he & his partner made a special trip to a local vendor to get the correct unit. Im sure it would have been easier for them to simply say they didnt have what we needed & arrange to come back another day. I am so grateful for their dedication to getting the job done!

We used Red Cap Plumbing and Air to do a whole house re-piping-a major job. They were quick to respond when we called for an estimate and they were thorough in their explanation of what to expect. The team that did the re-piping for us was Bino and Jordan. They are the best! Very knowledgeable, very professional, efficient and thorough. They always arrived on time and worked steadily throughout the day(s). They were very respectful of our home and always cleaned up as they went and at the end of the day. They took their time to do everything neatly and they made sure that we were happy with everything before they finished. These 2 are a definite asset for Red Cap. I would highly recommend.

Adrian showed up on time he was professional used foot covering when he entered my house and quickly found the cause of the problem he didn’t have the part in the truck but found them locally went and picked them up came back fixed everything and now it’s like new! What more could I ask for he then made sure he applied all the discounts he could it wasn’t cheap but I definitely felt like I received what I paid for and I would definitely use Red Hat Plumbing for any future plumbing needs that I have especially if Adrian is who I get he really did a great job and explained what he was doing and gave some great maintenance advice. RedCap exceptional thorough follow-up kept me informed of the progress of my job. I was called when the plumber was on the way to my home. The work was performed accurately and in a most workmanlike manner. Billing was handled on a tablet computer at the conclusion of their work. I am so very pleased with Adrian Miranda performance I plan to use them whenever I have a plumbing problem.
