I began my CAREER with explosive advertising in October of 2014. The high energy and fast paced atmosphere reminded me of the excitement you feel inside of a sports team atmosphere! I was instantly engaged and made moves to position myself for management. Within 8 months I was able to open my own office and begin my management career. As a current member of the national guard, Melvin and the rest of the management team have always been supportive of my commitment. I will be leaving deploying for Kuwait in June. As I am looking forward to my time serving my country, I will be priming myself to get back to management upon my return!!
Coming from a highly competitive background from playing baseball sense the age of 3 all the way up to the collegiate level! This job has been nothing less than perfect! From the atmosphere in the office to the amazing support system with the co-workers and the unbelievable training system within the program! I am honored to have been selected to expand my knowledge under a Manager like Melvin Jackson!!
Hands down, this is the best marketing company in Tampa! Everyone Ive encountered there has been extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommended for anyone looking for marketing services.
You cant believe everything you ready, you have to see for yourself the amazing things going on at Explosive! Awesome company and atmosphere. The employees really blend well together and there is such a positive Ora. Not to mention the growth and earning potential is what sold me on the opportunity.
Within the past few months, I have gained tons of knowledge. I love the management training experience and I look forward to coming to work everyday. Also, Im pretty excited about the new iPad I just won. Thanks Explosive!!
Amazing experience. Work hard get the results you want. This company is all about growth and development, not to mention how great the manager Melvin is!
I applied for explosive 7 months ago and to be honest, one of the best moves ive made in my career. Not only have I gained so much experience in so many different levels that im grateful for, but most importantly the people that I work with are great. We are all very like-minded and always looking to help each other out in need. My boss Melvin is one of the best mentors I have ever had. Never gave up on me and always saw in me what I couldnt see in myself and help me develop the skills I needed so I can see it in myself. Im glad to be a part of the team and have finally found where I belong.
Melvin is a amazing leader and the employees are a joy to work with.one of the best experiences ive ever had.
Everything sounds great, except is it a permanent career or a training to start your own company? Im a bit confused after reading the comments.. ?
I did my internship here and not only did I learn more than I expected to, but I wasnt treated like an intern. They treated me with respect and I will definitely be back next semester.
The previous review by James is exactly right. AVOID AVOID AVOID this company at all cost. It is a pyramid scheme and you will not make any real money. They are not transparent at all on the application, but when you meet Melvin and they get you to the 2nd interview, they explain that they want you to be a vender at big box retail stores for Direct TV and want you to manage your own team so the guy at the top makes all the money (like Amway). The pay is very low and you have to use your vehicle to get to different stores that may be very far away. They also want you to work 6 day workweeks and very long hours which is ridiculous. This company and interview is a HUGE waste of time. If you read this, dont even bother going to the interview. Hopefully they will go out of business and will learn their lesson.
Last year I started my own marketing company and big thanks to Explosive for helping me get my company of the ground, I appreciate the support! !-Kevin
My interview process took only 3 days. I sent in my resume from a job board website and was called almost immediately of sending it in. I was told this is a 2 part interview and depending on how well you interview you may be reviewed for management. The starting pay will be $16/hour plus compensation. (Not a bad gig) My first interview was with Melvin. The interview was only 10 minutes and he basically wanted to meet you and read over your resume. He asked basic interview questions, nothing hard. His main goal was to explain why his branch is hiring. He is hiring because he looking for a manager to manage a future branch that you will eventually run with your own team. Just like him. (Sounds too good to be true kind of things). I was told in this interview to come on this date and time for the second interview. The second interview really showed you the company. You met at the office and they have a client representative take you to a big box location where they have a booth and sell Direct TV... The sales rep sits me down in the cafeteria area of the store and asks more questions. Tell me more about yourself and do you have any sales experience kind of thing. Again nothing hard. They then say well you are being interviewed for management because we think you will be a great branch manager but you first have to do 4-6 weeks of on floor sales and meet atleast 5 sales a week to atleast be qualified to become a team leader. Once you are a team leader you get 3 reps to manage and motivate them to meet their sales each week (on top of you meeting your 5 a week) for 10-14 weeks. THEN after this you will be qualified to be in management and when a branch is opening you can manage that branch... So she then shows how much money you make. You start at a salary of $505 (0-3 sales) you get an additional $50 if you make 3 sales and each additional sale is another $150 bonus on top of your weekly check. If you have a rough week, no big deal they sit down with you and discuss how you can improve, by the second rough week if you are still doing bad they cut you. It is a 6 day work week averaging 42-45 hours a week. So $505 divided by 42 hours is $12/hour. Not $16/hour like I was told. Now if you sell 4 a week it is $705 then it is around $17 an hour. So it is all about performance. Now when you are a branch manager you make $105 a sale for just being the manager. When you promote someone to a branch manager from your team you get a $35 bonus for each sale that branch does. So no wonder Melvin wants to hire a bunch of over qualified people. It is a PYRAMID. The head guy sits around plotting and planning how to get bigger while the little guys work hard to make them money and if they dont perform... Well you get cut because your not making them money.

It appears that your employee Debra Vosselman is writing reviews on company time. The review is written with Malice and with the intent to extort.
