My Husband called AAA today about 12:00 PM to have his truck towed from Tallahassee to Cairo. He was told they would be arriving via the AAA app at 2:30. He called at 2:45 and the 5-Star dispatcher said arrive MAYBE by 4pm. Then he received a text from 5-Star stating arrival time w/in 150 minutes. I would not recommend 5-star to anyone and tell AAA to not use 5-Star unless you want to wait in the heat for hours upon hours.

My car stayed with them for a week in order to discover the problem, they did not find anything and I had to move it to another place and the problem was fixed in less than two hours...with this it took me 90 dollars for nothing. And he tells me I didnt give them enough time to check. Never go to them... you will lose effort, money and time.

AAA sent this tow truck. An hour passed. Truck was not there. I called AAA again. The driver called another 30 minutes passed. he should been there according to app. I called driver. He said he had no gas in his truck and no money to buy gas!!! Stay away from these losers!! Tell AAA to send AAAdriver

Unfortunately I had to use this trash place when my vehicle needed to be towed. When my vehicle came off the bed of one of the owners tow trucks, the incompetent tow truck driver let my vehicle hit the building causing $3600 damage to the back of my car. We contacted the owner and showed him the body cam video of this taking place. The officer even knew what happened. Made phone calls to him and hes dodging us. Now hes going to be sued. I just cant believe a businessman would not own up to what happened. Its clear as day in the video. That says alot about a person. This incompetent company needs to be out of business.

My husband had called AAA and they sent this company. We were going to have our regular mechanic do the work and the driver started saying about other people complaining about our mechanics work, etc. The driver said they should take our car to their garage instead. This was on Tuesday. My husband never got calls back. You cannot call the company. You call the owner on his cell and he never returns your call. The mechanic told my husband he wouldnt release the car until we paid for the diagnostic services. No one would give us a price. We went today, demanded the price and drove the car to our original mechanic. Do not use this place. They are horrible.

I truly wish I could give this company negative stars. Very unprofessional. They were used by my roadside service company. Wait time was two hours. The two hours goes by and then call roadside and they say they are less than 2 miles away and will be right there. LIES. Another hour goes by and still nothing. Can’t call them directly to find out what’s going on. So call my road side company again. They make excuses saying oh they probably got held up. Held up for 3 hours?? Never notified by the company about any updates or anything. Called my provider again. Then finally told, oh there was an issue and we had to send another driver so it’ll be another half hour. Like are you kidding me? What an absolute joke. I would never use these people again. If my roadside provider ever says they are using them again I’ll literally cancel my roadside company just not so they don’t get paid.

Treyvon arrived, to tow my vehicle (because the gearshift was not functioning) and immediately tried to troubleshoot the problem. I thought that was above and beyond the call of duty, but was very grateful for his input, and we finally decided to have him tow the Hyundai to the dealer.Treyvon kept in touch while I waited and was very professional during the towing process. I give him 5 stars out of 5 for his service and great attitude.Thanks Treyvon.

The worst place to get towing or get your car fix, I would not recommend anybody to use them. They are unprofessional, NEVER answers their phone. You will wait FOREVER to get your car...not worth your time

This is absolutely the WORST towing company that ever existed!! DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING! I had a flat tire this morning and called the Genesis Roadside Assistance which are contracted through AAA and subcontracted with this awful towing company. I called at 11 AM and received an ETA from the towing company that it will take 90 - 120 minutes because theyre very busy, and they were supposed to tow it to the Dealership so they can work on my car. Well, 1 PM rolled around, 2 PM rolled around, and no communication from them or AAA regarding their ETA...so I had to call back Genesis and AAA 4 times and each time the dispatcher for AAA would say: it will be one more hour; next time she would say 33 minutes....So, by 3:30 PM when I called AAA again, they said they could not even get through to the towing company and no-one is answering the phone so they didnt even know the ETA...EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE right there! By the time, the driver from the towing company showed up to my house, it was 4:20 PM. At 5:30 PM, the Dealership called me and said they still dont have my car and they will be closing soon for the day, so I hope to god my car makes it there in one piece. Im quite surprised that AAA would subcontract with a towing company with such poor reviews (score of 1.9) and the same complaints as mine. Ironic that theyre called 5-Star...... They dont deserve to get any stars!

Thess folks were supposed to do a long tow of our vehicle. They said it would be towed in the evening. We understood. However 9 hours went by without a single update. Ended up using a different company. I would not recommend.

I am not one to normally leave reviews. I have used 5 Star Towing one time before this and my experience was whatever, but this experience was almost unforgettable. I put in a request through Triple AAA at 7:30 this morning. I got an ETA for 9:05...9:05 came and went. Then I got an ETA for 10:05....10:05 came and went then I got a text saying the Tow would be here at 10:39 and it did not get here til 10:50. Upon arrival, the driver was cursing and arguing on the phone then asked me if I was the one who needed a tow even though my car information was already put in. During the hook up he was arguing with someone on the phone and even during the drive to the dealership he was arguing with someone. Then the Service guy at the dealership said he could not talk to the Tow truck driver because he was arguing on the phone with someone. Not to mention the Tow truck had all types of garbage amd stuff on the passenger side of the front seat. This is a very condensed version of everything that happened, but I would most likely not use 5 Star Towing again unless I was stranded.

AAA assigned them to tow my truck I waited 4 hours, wasted my day. Two calls to AAA and they could not reach these clowns. I cancelled the call, will get a real towing company and send the bill to AAA.

5 star was dispatched by AAA to tow my car to another company. When they arrived they asked what was wrong and told me that they could have their mechanic look at it. There was no mention of any fees at that time.I called back several times for updates on the car and STILL NO MENTION OF ANY FEES. It wasnt until I asked for my car to be towed back home that they said they wouldnt release the car until the fee was paid. LACK OF COMMUNICATION. There was never any mention of any fees being required and the excuse given to me was that all places charge a diagnostic fee. ANY possible fees need to be stated up front. BAD BUSINESS AND BAD BUSINESS MAN! Ask them to be removed from your AAA list immediately.PS. Their address is not as listed. It is actually 4400 Shelfer Road, Tallahassee, FL Which is misleading in itself.

Avoid using this towing company by any means necessary!I was in a car accident on Friday (March 26) and TPD had this place come tow my car away. HUGE MISTAKE. They have had my car since Friday and it is now Tuesday and my car has yet to be released. I have been up here three times to sign release forms After being told that the form would be emailed to me for me to sign and send back. They do not answer the phone either. When I finally came back up here for the third time to get some clarity and understanding as to what the issue was both the secretary and the owner had horrible attitudes. They lack professionalism and it’s honestly ridiculous.

It’s not the smartest idea to be showing off your wad of cash sitting at a red light. Not only is it unprofessional and probably not actually your money but the companies money there’s a chance you’re going to get robbed.

AAA sent this company to pick up my truck on the Interstate and after waiting, I got a message to leave keys under floor mat as they will not give you a ride. My girlfriend went to check on the truck, within the next 20 minutes it had been looted. The Tow truck showed up after 2 hours and 40 minutes.Dont use this company its really sad that triple A is using them,

If you’re stuck somewhere and need towing don’t even bother calling these people !!! After being stuck on the high way for 4hours calling these people At least 5 times being told that they would arrive in 30 min . That was a complete lie then we called again to be told they’re on the way. A lie again, the lady then told us the service will be free of charge because we waited a lie again. Let me get started on the customer service with this lady Sharon !! Absolutely the worst customer service assistant I’ve ever spoke to please get rid of her !!!

Horrible, absolutely horrible company!!My ordeal with Five Star Automotive & Towing started at 5:45 a.m. when I called AAA (American Automotive Association) for a tow. They sent this 5 Star Company for my service.I patiently waited for them to arrive … 3 long hours later. And, THIS waiting I did NOT mind and was not my issue with 5 Star.The tow truck arrived at 8:50, loaded the vehicle and the driver verified that he had the correct destination address. I confirmed the address and told the driver I would follow him. When he told me he needed to get gas and had to go to the approved 5 Star station, I decided to drive on to the house. So at 9:16 a.m., we both pulled out for the 45 minute drive.I get back to the house and wait for the tow truck. At 11:37 a.m., the tow truck has still not arrived so I call AAA to find out what has happened.At 2:09 p.m., I called 5 Star Automotive and Towing, who by way, was very rude. The lady at the office said they had live customers stranded on the side of the road and would get the vehicle to me at their convenience. After her rudeness, I said I would report the vehicle stolen if it was not in my possession in an hour and half.I immediately called AAA and told them the same. I was put on hold by AAA while they called 5 Star who said at 2:16 p.m. the vehicle was loaded and the tow truck was on the way … per 5 Star Automotive and Towing on the way. Of course it was not and I dealt with AAA the rest of the afternoon.And mind you, when calling AAA, you do not get the same person each time and you have to repeat the issue each time . So nice, patient me did not call the police because I did not want to deal with more people, more phone calls. My mistake ..... I SHOULD HAVE FOLLOWED THROUGH AND REPORTED IT STOLEN.From the 9:16 a.m. load and drive off time, to the finally delivered and unload of 7:00 p.m. was 9 hours 45 minutes. Did ya hear me??9 HOURS AND 45 MINUTES.Very, very irritated but politely I asked the driver what happened. I said I thought you were going to get gas and be right behind me. He informed me he was, BUT THE OFFICE called and told him to take the vehicle back to their shop so they could do OTHER business. He said this happens often especially if the tow destination is not close by.The reason I asked the driver what happened was because his office told AAA that I knew they would be delivering it at their convenience. THIS 5 Star Automotive and Towing company LIED TO ME, ABOUT ME AND TO AAA.This company KNEW the pickup and delivery address when they got the offer from AAA to do this job. They KNEW it was 39 miles away. They never should have accepted the AAA offer if they were not going to deliver it once the vehicle was loaded.I hope I never need another tow or service but if I do I have it on file with AAA to NEVER EVER send 5 Star Automotive and Towing to me again. Contacted AAA for a tow. Was told 5 Star would be towing my car. Estimated time of arrival was supposed of been 3:39pm. Driver updated the tracker and said he had arrived; which wasn’t true. Contacted the tow company, dispatcher gave some excuse about the driver phone dying. How convenient? But the driver phone wasn’t dead when he just updated he had arrived but hadn’t. Waste of my time. Dispatcher said the driver should be arriving in 15-20 minutes in which that didn’t happen. A bunch of crooks and lies.

Ive used their towing service 2 times in the past few days through AAA. The guy who came was very nice and helpful. When I called them asking for a time estimate, the guy who picked up the phone was very helpful too.

Ray and L.C are the best tow truck drivers in Tallahassee, they were very professional on time and did whatever they could do to save my car from total damage, I will always call five star from now on. Tell Ray and L.C to keep it up.

Our car broke down, triple AAA sent this tow company. We told them the garage to take it to, the tow driver says we have a garage probably be cheaper then Chevrolet is. So...2 days later they call tell us what it needs done, quoted us a price out the door. We said fine we need it fixed. We travel back to pick it up, now it’s $30 more and 5% surcharge! I said that’s not what you quoted! One word: CROOKS!! Don’t use this place, ask triple AAA to send a different tow company.

My daughter broke down by the airport late at night. We called AAA and the driver came VERY quickly and was so professional and helpful. Weve had to call AAA several times throughout the years and this experience was by far one of the very best. Thank you for taking care of my girl!

We spent six hours waiting for 5-Star Towing to arrive. Every time we called Triple-A, they would contact 5-Star and come back to tell us some version of they will be there in five minutes/30 minutes/10 minutes/pulling up any minute now. Every time, we would say, thats what they said the last time but we still havent seen them. We were frustrated but remained polite. At one point, AAA said they were sending a different tow service. Instead, they cancelled the tow altogether, without telling us. When we called again, they called the SAME TOW COMPANY and thus ensued more rounds of be there in X minutes/wait X-plus minutes/call AAA. I cant decide who Im least impressed by, AAA or 5-Star Towing. They should be called Negative-5 Star Towing. Or 5-Hour-Minimum Towing.

Would not recommend. Very unprofessional. Left me with my car stuck in drive and the key stuck in the ignition. Used foul language the entire time and were very impatient. Terrible customer service. Don’t waste your money. God bless.

I read these comments and cant help but think that most of yall have never spent a second in a tow operators shoes that yall think yall are the only ones broke down and the drivers can just be on time every time thats not how towing works yall are not the only ones broke down at that given minute and when a tow drive gets backed up they still got to run the calls that came in before your call so it might take a little bit to get to you calm down its not the end of the world

I waited 3 hours as a high priority. In the middle of 6 lane highway. Pulled the bumper off my car and the owner lied to me about when it would be ready. Now I have no idea even where my car is.Will be reported stolen!!!This is a horrible company with a down right lying and thief for an owner !

If yall are using Triple A please call them to make your complaint. That is where it counts. I just waited 4 hours on this company to get to me for a tow.

I was broke down on I 10 the driver got to me within a half hour and took me to the shop. He was very professional. I will use them again if needed
