First haircut for my son, 19 mos old. Lauren did an excellent job and was super patient, as she is a mom of 2 boys herself. Will definitely be returning and I think my husband just found a new place to get his haircut too!

So, Ive always gone to Chop for myself (straight hair) and my son( curly hair) and personally Ive always had great experiences, however, the tough part was for my son. Then I found Ruby. I had my first experience with her for my cut to get a feel and she is a spunky cool chick, easy conversationalist, and very knowledgeable about different hair types *highlighting multicultural here*. I then brought my son to her and she was super sweet, patient with him and me since I was a bit nervous about the big change we were doing. His cut came out fantastic. Even though we are only two haircuts in with Ruby as our stylist, she left a positive impression for us both. Also, the Chop environment in general is very chill, bathroom always clean/stocked, easy appointment making web layout, and you get a free beer if you ask.

I had an appointment with Josefine. I arrived on time. She said that she was waiting on her client to come out of the bathroom and would get me when she was done. I was fine with that, assuming that she was finishing up with a client. Apparently she hadn’t even started with that client. I thought that maybe it was a quick bang trim or something. It was not. I finally gave up waiting after 30 minutes and left very angry.

Excellent hair cut and beard trim with Steve! Great relaxing atmosphere with the old time barbershop feel. I am definitely going back and I highly recommend! 👍👍

Every time I go to Chop I have a great time. Most recently I’ve went with Ruby at the Killearn location and she’s done and incredible job. She’s very nice and creates conversation while doing exactly what I ask for in great time even with me being confusing. Amazing job from her especially and Chopped 11/10

My local barber shop, Kenny took care of me and he was also the one to chop my ponytail when it was time for it to go. He is fast and accurate. Shop is well organized and gets you.thru quickly.and on time..friendly staff.

Ruby was awesome! Really listened to my haircut ideas, asked good questions, and checked in every once in a while to make sure she was on the right track. Very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. Highly recommend her as a stylist!

I have been getting my haircut at this location for the last couple years. Last Saturday I was late for my appointment (my fault I wrote it down as 1:30 instead of 1). The person who normally does it said she was unable to do it, but, she said David had time. David basicity did a 5 minute hack job on my hair. It looked ok when it was still wet, but complete trash when it dried. Haircut is absolutely terrible. Not what I asked for. Very uneven. This was for a very very basic simple mens haircut. I am now (one week later) having to go to another place to attempt to get my hair fixed. I wont be back... Too many other places in town to get a haircut...

We love this place. Both my husband and I go to Steve who is a co-owner (thats right your husband will definitely want to come here with you). We cant recommend this place highly enough. On occasion we have both had a service with another stylist/Barber and we have always had awesome service. If youre looking for a super cool vibe, great prices, and excellent service, choose Chop!

I’ve visited three different Chop locations over the last few years. They are all clean and professional. Fun environment. This isn’t your “neighborhood barber”, this is steps above. I drive 70 miles one way for my barber Kenny and won’t let anyone else touch my head. Definitely recommend. Download their app, save you some time.

It’s tough finding a place to get a good dependable cut. It’s almost impossible to find a place that’s not just good but CLEAN, FRIENDLY, DEPENDABLE, LAIDBACK, KNOWLEDGEABLE, QUICK and PROFESSIONAL When I came in a year ago I was lucky to get a spot in Kenny’s chair. He’s always been very professional and friendly at the same time. He’s always up for chat while he gives me the best cut I’ve had, here or anywhere!! My 2 teenage boys have been using Chop Killearn since it opened. Every barber has done a great job and my boys love the barbers there. I did find out today (after my 14 year old sons haircut was done) they no longer honor the $19, 15 minute, cut that shows up when you make an appointment online so keep that in mind until they have a chance to update their site. Although his cut took less than 15 minutes the cost was $23 not $19. Totally fine, but not what the site said.

Ive been really happy with all three chop locations. They seem to do a great job with training their people, and I always end up with a good haircut. Plus, the location that Ive been to since the pandemic started did a great job with the steps they took for social distancing and masks. I highly recommend them!

I took my son to get a haircut. I asked for a 1” at the bottom and to keep the top long. The barber left the bottom patchy and accidentally clipped some his long curls at the top with the clippers because he was too lazy to properly clip it.I asked him to tape him up and even the tape is uneven.That’s the service I received for $23!!!!!

I have just started going to this barber shop a few months back. At first I was a little skeptical in paying extra for a hair cut when I could go to places and pay less. But, after interacting with the staff here and seeing the quality work they do with every single customer that comes in; it’s abundantly clear that you get your money’s worth! Hisham Essi is the manager and you can see that he prides himself with the quality of work being put out by himself and the rest of the staff. I could not recommend this barber shop more. Very talented and very professional.

Best cut I’ve ever gotten hands down. Got my hair cut by Kenny and happy to say found myself a new barber and made a new friend. Kenny was very easy to talk to and made me feel very welcome. I’ve had my fair share of barbers as my hair is different when it comes to cutting but when Kenny cut it the exact way i wanted and i was left very happy. 10/10 recommend if you haven’t already.

This is hands down the best barbershop I’ve ever been too . I’m always greeted extremely politely, offered a drink and there’s never a wait time(when I schedule in advance)The barber I see -Kenny is the absolute man and has the best Classi traditional hair cut I’ve ever had or seen .I LOVE CHOP

Megan took the long hair that I had for a long time and transformed it into a modern masterpiece. She was patient with me, asked great questions in the beginning to make sure she understood what I wanted. She was also very encouraging. The highlights helped give the haircut definition and the color was so natural. She also did a fantastic job on my daughter, turning her hairstyle from a girl into a beautiful young woman. We are both so happy with the results and continue to receive compliments. I would highly recommend her.

It was my first time at Chopped. I gave it 3 stars because i could not give it 2.5 stars. It is a 50/50. It you are going for the atmosphere you will enjoy the experience . If you are going for a quality haircut and experienced professional staff - keep looking. The staff are very kind people but not what I wou call a professional barber staff. There is a big difference between certified barber and a professional barber.

The star provided is for the location, we appreciate a hair cutting place close to home. Our experience would be 0 stars.I took our 1 year old for his first hair cut and figured I would get one too if he held up ok; thankfully he did. However, the gal cutting our hair was oblivious to the fact she got hair in his eyes and wasnt very helpful assisting me to remove it. We had to get up mid hair cut to try and wipe him down in bathroom. In addition, a spray was used to wet his hair before cutting and I assumed it was water..only to find out it had a fragrance and caused a rash on his head. My haircut was not as directed but in the midst of trying to care for my son, I did not care at the point.Additionally, the lady cutting our hair was obviously new. She did not know where the towels were (I requested one in attempt to clean sons face) and she did not know how to operate register. It did not appear as the other employees were interested in helping her or us.We have had positive experiences in the past (older child), but this really negated that.Update: Gave Chop another shot and was pleasantly provided with a successful haircut for our 1 yr old, Nathan did a great job. Thank you Steve for being an involved and proactive business owner!

1 Star is being generous. Would absolutely NOT recommend this place for anything. 3 consecutive times my stylist did not show up, not call back (as promised) or cancelled via a text message. Ive followed Nicole for a while because my hair styles change like the four seasons and shes the only one that can keep up with my particular requests. Ever since she joined Chop, Ive come to love everything the shop has to offer. If you go anywhere else to get your haircut, styled or colored, youre missing out. I love Nicoles work, and what Chop brings to the City of Tallahassee.

Made an appointment for my haircut just to have it changed on me the day of. I found out when I went in for my haircut. Whats the point of making a reservation for a haircut if they are goong to bump you last minute. And no one tried to contact me I even showed them the text confirming my appointment and person behind the desk was just dumbfounded.

Lauren and Drew are great! My husbands cut by Drew was spot on and Lauren was so patient with my daughter getting her first cut that she got to choose.

Not a good experience at all. The barber that was assigned got frustrated that I asked to take more hair off. His response was I would have to cut it all over again. Exactly! Make the client happy. Instead we went some where else to fix the cut. I paid for two barbers to complete one cut. There are to many options available to deal with bad service. Find some place where your business is appreciated. I highly recommend any other place in Tallahassee over this location.Sarah I would respond to your comment in line if that was an option. We were told Keiths appointment didnt show thats why he was able to cut my sons hair. If that was not the case we could have easily gone to another shop which we did when we left yours. My rating was based on the experience I had in your shop. I was extremely disappointed and regardless of the excuse I didnt feel we were valued as customers. Thats why I left the rating I did.

Outstanding barber-shop. I work hard to find a truly exemplary barber when I come to a new town, and this one has outdone my expectations. I recommend Brandon Castaldi if hes available, but I and others Ive sent here have always been more than satisfied with any of the barbers theyve seen so you cant go wrong.

The Killearn Shop double-books and doesnt keep appointments. Thursday was the second time Ive gone to an appointment at the scheduled time and there is someone in the chair and at least one person ahead of me for the stylist I was scheduled for. Whats the point of making an appointment? Good haircuts, though.

Very cool place. Old style babershop with a modern twist. Very friendly staff. They do both kids and adults. Kids love their stylist. They were very with them. They even have drinks for the adults. I got my hair done for a wedding (I am the best mans wife) by the best hairdresser: Rosie. My husband got a straight razor headshave and beard shaping by one of the owners. My husband went to the Midtown location and I went to the Killearn location. We were very, very pleased with the service and quality of the products they make and use. I cannot recommend them enough!!!

Only place that can do a perfect fade and hard part without charging you an arm and a leg. Jacob is one of the best.

Went in for a trim, my hair was about 8 inches long. Came out with a womans bob cut, and Im a guy. The back of my head looks like someone took a sander to it and just flattened while the front is uneven. I even showed them a photo of exactly what I wanted, it showed everything and I even explained what I wanted. Now I have to trim my hair all down to 1 inch and start all over again or else I will have to walk around with a womans bob for a couple of months. Going to take about 16 months to get back to the old length.
