Our side if the street was missed during a weekly pickup (first time in our 8 months with them). I called the customer service number and was connected in under a minute. Jennifer provided outstanding customer care, gathered info, and rescheduled a truck pass for the very next morning. Fantastic customer service.

I have nothing bad to say about their service, weve had nothing but a great experience. But I am annoyed that if you have auto bill pay and decided to pay your bill early, auto pay still comes out. Im still having trouble figuring out how an auto pay for a bill thats at $0.00 due is still going to charge my account $102. There is 0.00 due so auto pay should be charging that amount that is due. Lemay should fix their auto pay setup/system.

Garbage and recycle pickup. We live on Anderson Island, and use the ferry to live here.. The ferry is the life-line for everything from on-line ordering, to deliveries of all sorts. I see the garbage trucks have shifted their route times to be later in the morning so as to not compete with those commuting to work. This is a big deal when the cars cannot load because of the trucks! I am very grateful for the for thought to just run a little later and allow those people to get to work. Thankyou..

As you can see from multiple reviews, this company could care less that you pay more to have yard waste removed. They have not picked up our yard waste on multiple occasions.. and to top it off they have recently not picked up our trash (set out the night before and we have never missed a bill payment).. Their service is subpar and it seems there is no motivation to change this since there are multiple people complaining and nothing has been done about it. So glad to be moving out of the area.

She was super friendly, took the time to explain all the services and pricing, helped us determine what services would best suit our needs and scheduled a prompt pick up of the full (stinky!) containers left by the previous owners. Staff in office Great! Always receptive to my questions and extra orders if needed. Had to order 2 extra pickups due to cleaning out closets. Price was good. Would have cost me way more $$ and time to go to dump and sit in line.

Pierce County Refuse continues to provide horrible service. My yard waste is often not picked up and I have to call them to solve the problem that they have never solved. Recently they did not fully empty the trash and refused to pick it up. In multiple situations they have asked me to go pick up extra trash bags and set them out to solve their mistake. Why should I be paying for extra items to set the trash out when I pay for a can. In December 2020 they accepted payment on 12/8 and did not credit it to my account. I had to pay again on 12/23. This is a terrible company and should not be entrusted to be the single provider of service in our community. My next step is to contact my state representative and regulators.

Speaking to staff today was mind blowingly amazing! I dont think I have ever encountered customer service like this. I was speaking to Jessica and it was a complete delight so knowledgeable and attentive, patient, did not even feel like I was even speaking to a robotic person on the other side like usual. Was strangely the highlight of my day. On several occasions now I have put out my yard waste, recycle, and garbage the night before pickup but were not picked up because the driver notated they were not put out. When I call Pierce County Refuse to notify them, they dismiss my complaint assuming that I am the liar in this situation. MAYBE they should be taking notes on what drivers theyre receiving complaints about and consider their employees are capable of LYING.

Good experiences for 10+ years. Garbage is something you dont want to worry about and Lemay Pierce County has made my life easy that way. Garbage and recycling are always picked up according to schedule. I have often ordered small dumpsters for spring cleaning and big projects.Everyone I have talked to on the phone has been courteous and professional.

Ive been employing this company at the same location for 8 years now. Nothing has changed on my end. Every time they switch a driver I have issues. They want to change the time of pickup at commercial location. Well, we open for business at xx:30am so I cant have the container available until then. So I pay extra for access fee, provide the driver with key for access to yard. Another new driver. He now cuts his self on my gate so I must padlock on outside of gate because this is a safety issue. Never was before, but they dont care. Theres no competition for them. It looks as though they dont care that their customers are upset either, there are no responses to the negative comments here so this is just me venting. Wait, another refuse bill gotta go

My family and I have been happy customers at our current home for almost 20 years. Driver #3661 did a great job this morning driving around our neighborhood to pick up yard waste. The yard waste service is a great value for the price.

Absolutely the worst business I have dealt with in some time. Restarted service for me more pickup as our new home was not ready. Moved out beginning of December. Got a bill months later for part of January. Cannot stop service for 30 days. Contacted customer service who stated I owed nothing and apologized for inconvenience. Then received message stating they were wrong and I still owed money. Called again and talked to supervisor Dina who insisted I owed the money even though I had not lived there in almost a month. Wasted another hour and a half of my time when all I wanted to do was pay in the first place. They are clueless and so unprofessional. Dina should definitely take up a different line of work !

We bought our home a year and a half ago, everything was fine till about a month ago when they all of a sudden stopped, and yes we pay or bill every month. We called and talked to a supervisor and she said we need to put our cans across the street or move our cans to another street all together, we live on a corner lot, she said it was a safety issue. Their drivers are just too LAZY to back their truck around the corner to get our cans. What do I pay you for. I pay them over $100 dollars a month for crappy service. I should open my own garbage service and charge people half of what they do.

They have struggled to pick up our yard waste can on and off for a year now. However Deana in customer service has been super helpful twice now. She has gotten the can emptied quickly and credited my account for the trouble. Only reason they get 4 and not 3 stars is because of her. Thanks Deana!!!!

I miss the Midwest! We got to pick our garbage company so it was competitive with a lot less rules and when we lived in cities were the city ran the garbage services it never cost this much. We just moved here and it started out fine other than the shock of cost. Than just recently they stoped picking up our garbage with no reason WHY? Yes we do pay our bill

Ive always received great service from both customer service specialist on the phone and the drivers. On one instance my yard waste was out the night before pickup but the driver never came so I called and they had a driver come out next day to pick it up. Never any issues changing my service and the gal on the phone is always pleasant.

Horrible service.They missed a pickup so I called them. Strike one was that their phone lines were already forwarded to voicemail even though they were supposed to be open for another 10 minutes. So I called the following Monday (our pickup is on Friday)... I was on hold for over 30 minutes. When I finally got to speak to someone, they were pleasant enough and assured me that my trash would be picked up the following day. The next day rolls around and no pickup. So I call and get put on hold for another 25 minutes. The next CS rep says shell try to get it picked up that afternoon but it would likely be the next day (Wednesday). So Wednesday rolls around and still no pickup. I call again and finally we get our trash picked up on Thursday morning, just in time to roll it back out that night for Friday morning pickup.While speaking with a representative earlier in the week we had arranged to have my small trash can picked up and exchanged for a larger one on Monday. So last night (Sunday) we roll our can out expecting it to be swapped out early Monday morning. It is now Monday afternoon and I went to get our new larger can from the curb and sure enough, it was not swapped out... a no show AGAIN.So its 4:50pm and I call again to complain and reschedule the pickup and sure enough the phone lines are forwarded to the after hour voicemail again even though business hours are through 5pm . I hate this company and cant wait to move to a different area that offers a better refuse service.

My yard waste bin was skipped 3 times last fall and skipped again last week. That’s a big deal when service is only every other week. Jennifer Dane with customer service was not helpful at all. She wouldn’t send a driver to pick it up the next day. She also wouldn’t let us have additional bags of yard waste picked up next time for free. We can pay additional to have everything picked up next time since it won’t fit in the bin. This is customer service? We pay more because you aren’t doing what we paid for in the first place? Horrible service.

The Incompetency of the customer service staff is incredible. I have never had the displeasure to deal with a company that doesnt offer more options for a small debris pick up for resisents. they wanted 500 dollars for material that is not even worth a anywhere near that amount that is not to include the 100 dollars extra charge for the truck to do what its meant to do pick up trash. Yes pierce county refuse let me pay you 600 for that! No you are out of your mind. you definitely lost multiple customers today.

My family and I moved 8 months ago from llinois to Spanaway. We are very happy with the prices and value of our garbage, recycling and yard waste. We used to have the trucks miss our cans at our old house in Bloomington. Pierce County Refuse does a great job picking up our trash each week with no errors to date. Kudos

Super expensive and every week just about the driver does not pick up our yard waste can and I have to call in and complain . They will either send a driver out to pick up my can when a driver is in the area or Credit my account and not pick up my can. :( The staff does not communicate well with each other and they do not seem to care much for customer happiness.

Horrible! Horrible! Why doesnt someone else open a garbage company?! Customer service is horrible, they never send a bill..until they send an stating its late and suspended! My neighbors have also complained of no bills. I pay online as soon as I get my email however their system never updates so my garbage is not picked up and I have to pay an extra $7 to get them to come back and pick up! Thanks Lemay...at least you are rolling in the money! Get your billing act together!!

We’ve lived in pierce county since 2005 & have had svc in both our homes with no issues. Only once there was a missed p/u, but office was called shortly after & driver returned by eod. Cust svc has been fine, helpful if I’ve ever had to call. Thanks for the continued great svc!

I do not know why Lemay has such bad ratings. We’ve used their service for years and never had any issues with pick up or with customer service. They’ve always been very helpful and always are sure to call us with an audio message to update us about our trash and recycling service on holiday weeks or anything that may interfere.If anything I’d complain about our mailman being too lazy to reach 6 inches past our recycling bin on days that our containers are out lol

They are going to charge you when miss a day to come back and pick up but when they miss a day or two of not picking up they want to pick up your trash when that day comes and not give some kind of incentive. You cant contact them because they never answer. Or if you do good luck.

I have used numerous different refuse companies in the various places that I have lived and this one is by far the worst. The containers that they give are barely large enough for two kitchen bags of trash and they will charge you extra if the lid doesnt close all the way. I wish there was another option.

Everything was picked up fine except my yard waste. Lemay still wanted to charge me for a service that wasnt provided. The neighbor up the street was moving in and they stated that the truck was in the way. I have security footage that states otherwise. They also stated they dont do credits if they dont pick up.... what kind of business thinks its okay to charge someone for services not rendered. This company needs to learn how to operate ethically.

The facility was very nice and so was the staff but the prices are on the little of the high side I feel.

After 9 months of leaving my cans in the same spot, they skip me 2 weeks in a row because the can was inaccessible in my townhome complex, when I called to inquire as to why they didnt pick up, I got some its policy that it needs to be further out b.s., and that they wouldnt pick it up or compensate me. Im -this- close to cancelling them entirely and just taking the trash to the dump myself, since thats what Ill be doing this week anyways apparently. Horrible service.

Recycle guy is doggone rude. Did not pick up my recycle becuase the lid was not completely closed. CSR lady was helpful setting up my account and explaining things, thus the 2 star.

Worst service ever. Bait and switch. Upgraded our can and was told one price, then got the bill and was charged $20 bucks more. Horrible service. Was told oh well. Horrible service.

This is the worst and most expensive trash service I have ever had!!!! Customer service just talks a lot of talk and nothing gets done. They seem to have a monopoly on the area. I heard some horror stories about their history. If there was anyway I could get service from someone else, I would. Something needs to be done!!!

Terrible customer service. I pay an automatic payment each month but they are constantly changing how much I owe. They dont pick up my trash then charge me more for the next week because my can is overfull. They charge me for extra charges almost every month. They brought me older cans and couldnt get to my current ones, tried to charge me $190, for each can they couldnt pick up, but never said why they were changing cans (Mine were new) or why I was getting different ones. It took 3 months to resolve the issue. I didnt have to pay the $280 for them because I returned the nasty ones, but they charged me $12.32 a month for returning them late (while we were negotiating). Even after many supervisor calls, the charges remain.

Been on hold for 18 minutes now at 11:00 a.m. because the recycling truck did not pick up our recycling. Not the first time either. In both cases they see us putting it out as they drive through the neighborhood and skip us as if to say we should have it out sooner.

Twice now they didn’t even empty the whole trash can. And once they left my trash can knocked over and their was trash across my lawn. Not sure what I’m even paying for.

I have had their service for a long long time. Recently their driver hit my truck and damaged the bumper. I spoke with them at length, but they refuse to accept responsibility for it and refuse to repair the damage. I am extremely disappointed. I would not recommend them to anyone.
