I was here for about 2 weeks, and their where one or 2 staff who cared about people, but most of the mental health technicians sat back and made fun of the struggle people where going through. If you can avoid this place I would suggest that you do. It’s not a healthy environment to get well in!

Had a good experience in 2019.Staff, facility, food, etc. all great. Some staff were extremely pleasant. Only one was rude but she quit or was sacked apparently.1.8 stars seems much undeserved. If you’re downvoting bc of bed, blankets, petty - minor stuff, like someone else says: try the Marriott. As for visitors, I was allowed visitors, no problem. Others during my stay all the same.

I was there for 8 days and i felt trapped one of the nurses was picking on me making me feel even worse and there was only 1 or 2 nurses that actually cared about people and everyone expected me to not make friends and want to exchange social information so there is a rule not to make information however the only people who helped me feel better about myself which were other patients so overall if i could i would give a 0/5 star rating do not send someone here or let alone go here at all i am WARNING YOU please if you want help dont go here.

Zero! I went in after being transferred from the holding area at my local hospital after a drunken suicidal outburst on my part. The ONLY good thing I got out of my stay was the people I met and was able to talk to and learn more about, it was a very memorable and actually nostalgic experience for me in that regard. BUT the staff were extremely overwhelmed, confused, some were aggressive and openly would curse at patients and target them. They speak to you like you are a dog that needs to be talked down to and looked down on. You feel invisible, you feel alone, its a bleak atmosphere in there and I got no help there. I AMAd myself due to finding myself becoming worse in this setting and have been better off ever since. Phone system is absolutely awful. No visitors allowed. When you are first sent in it actually looks nice and you meet staff that ARE NOT who you see in the areas sent to. Completely different setting and staff. I was there for almost a week and NEVER ONCE saw a social worker and saw a psychiatrist ONCE and he was extremely weird, bug-eyed, no eye-contact, jumpy dude that would only ask me, Are you feeling suicidal?. Yep, thats about it. If you rely on medications for an injury or pre-existing health conditions, and need things pretty frequently, SORRY, TOO BAD. You WAIT for the schedule that often never is followed correctly either. Staff rotations are terrible, no relationships formed between patients and staff except on superficial brief occasions. I could go on forever about the absolutely dreadful, anxiety-depressed-ridden environment I was subjected to voluntarily. OH, and expect to be starting medications that they try to trick you into taking so that you have to stay for about 2 weeks to see effects.... BOOOOOOOOOOOO. DO NOT send anyone here or voluntarily choose this location if possible, you will not receive proper care and treatment, the only thing I can say if you ever are unfortunate enough to be sent here and have no choice but to stay is that you might meet some very interesting people that could possibly become good friends or at the very least a good memory to look back onto in the future. In short, this place is terrible and I would NOT be surprised if absolutely horrible things happen here as the security gaps would be very easy to exploit.

I want to give this place a zero! Do not ever go here! You will have no contact with your loved one and they will not get them better and you will have to do everything over again to get your loved one help. We have been to different mental health facilities and never had it this bad! Just a warning..

I would give this hospital zero stars if I could. If your loved one is sent there dont expect these people to help them. My adult son was released after his second ITA hold in two months. When I heard he might be getting released, from him, I called the hospital more than once to express my concerns. I was told someone would call me back but nobody ever did. My kid was released without any notification and he was no better off than when he arrived. Its pretty clear that these people are more interested in getting people out than they are actually taking the time to address the issues that landed them there in the first place.

As far as the amenities go at this hospital, they are basic and minimal but expected for a psych ward. Beds could be more comfortable and better personal hygeine products should be provided for patients who can’t provide their own. Food was good and plentiful for the most part. Compared to other hospitals they do not have enough activities to do during leisure time besides coloring books and card games which gets pretty old after the first couple of days. The groups were okay, hearing other people’s stories helped more than the curriculum itself. Groups were also super repetitive. I am very appreciative of the few staff members who went above and beyond to take the time out of their day to sit with me one on one and have an actual conversation with me because that probably helped me the most. Doctor to patient communication was very minimal. Most of the staff were nice but a few were actually rude to patients and I witnessed one male tech violate a females patients privacy while she was in the shower. I also witnessed a homeless patient get kicked to the streets with no help. If you are in a crisis and have no other options please go here until you are stable because it’s better off than being dead but otherwise if you are stable enough you will be better off seeking help elsewhere for better care.

If I could give a billion stars and hearts I would. I came in for childhood PTSD, anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts. I left as a whole brand new woman. This program is more geared towards (imo) anyone who is seeking actual help. Group therapy is optional, and our therapists give us the option for individual therapy sessions as well, each therapy session I learned a new thing about myself & others while connecting with the staffing team, and fellow patients. I have met so many incredible people who have inspired me to continue to live my life to the fullest, and full of hope. Thank you Nurse Eric for always being on top of things, listening to patients concerns, and always always always checking in on everyone. The Galleon team is forever unmatched IMO. Every single MHT, THANK YOU!!! Nursing staff, thank you. To my care coordinator Rica, THANK YOU. Dr. Jawad, thank YOU. To our therapists & counselors, THANK YOU. To our sanitizing staff, THANK YOU. To our HUCs, THANK YOU. Thank you times a million. I will recommend Welfound to anyone who asks. This place is such a good place for someone who is seeking healing & help. I have read reviews about the food, which was good.... I literally ate cod with a tropical salsa on top one night, and chicken tenders w Mac & cheese another night ... yum. The beds I never expected to be comfortable, it’s a mental hospital. Blankets, you can always ask for another one. The staff treats you with dignity & respect, and continues to go the extra mile to connect & learn more about you, and your interests. Please remember, people only really ever leave reviews when they are angry. And also remember, the staff is human & part of our local communities as well. Sometimes we don’t always have the right answers and resources and they can only do so much legally for patients & families. They try to keep us safe & sane, and deal with A LOT while trying to do so. I’m wishing the best of love, light, & luck to anyone who wishes to be admitted here. This place saved my life, and their courtyard has the most beautiful lavender I’ve smelt. 💓💗💜

Our family had a terrible experience with Wellfound providers on all levels. When my son required emergent care on two separate occasions, they left him at Allenmore Hospital, where he wasnt supervised appropriately and he left on both occasions, while under an Involuntary Commitment and under Wellfounds care, control and supervision. It took days to find him on one occasion and Tacoma Police Department had to clean up the mess they caused on both occasions.I will never recommend Wellfound to anyone.

Adult day care, barely any real treatment going on.If you’re looking to be held until you’re fed and bored enough to meet bottom of the line criteria go for it. How this place is accredited as anything but a sub par homeless shelter is beyond me.

Their telephone system needs improvement. Called to talk to a family member who is a patient, and they transferred me to an unused number where a voice message told me to call another number if I thought I got the message in error. So I called the other number and after listening to a lengthy message about COVID vaccinations and multiple other subjects, was put into a queue to wait for a live operator. After waiting for 10 minutes I hung up and called the original number I was given and it rang endlessly, until an automatic message responded saying my call didnt go through. Every time I called I got the same message. Finally a person answered and I explained that I had been transferred to a number that didnt work the first time. They asked me to hold, and then came back saying that there were no phones available for the person I was trying to call to use. I should call back later. I explained that my family member was expecting my call at three could they get a message to them. They said they would try. NOT IMPRESSED!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The doctors do not care about their patients at all. The way they treat patients is inhuman. Held my mother against her will. They would not let my mother come home even though she was fine. Had to wait for a state worker to release her. Overall, this places just wants to steal your money. Please, if you are having a mental health crises do not go there.

Staff were very friendly but i do think that there should be more communication between the nurses when changing shifts. food should be more on time it’s always late. and more training for providers to be more understanding but i LOVED my weekday provider Fatimah but had a bad experience with the weekend provider! other than that i would recommend!

The worst care coordination I have ever experienced. I was not once contacted by the care coordination team which includes the social worker in regards to providing collateral information. I was not involved in the discharge planning for my family member and was told no when I requested records. The RNs were the only ones who provided me with any pertinent information in regards to how my family member was doing. I will be filing a complaint, however, I was told that the person needed to speak with her boss before she could point in the right direction in order to do so. Who is providing oversite? Because I have not been able to speak with anyone or any supervisor at this point. In order to provide best practice and optimal care, family members who want to be involved should be. We shouldnt be the ones calling multiple times per day and still not get a phone call back. Even without an ROI they should still welcome any family or collateral information in regards to the patient they are serving.

The staff was kind. The facility it self was awful! At night it was so loud you couldnt sleep, there were lights on and they dont let you shut your door. The bed mattress is so thin when you lay down you feel the bed boards and the blanket is so thin you can see through it. It is so cold you cant get warm. How on earth are people with anxiety or PTSD supposed to feel safe in that environment? My husband along with 2 other patients requested to leave the same night they were checked in. Very disappointing.

Not a good place who cares for their patients. Needs improvement in quality of care they give to their patients. They need to help people in need more instead of sending patients home when the patient has been asking for help several times in a short period of time. They are the specialist so they need to take care of people who need their help. Especially to those patients who have had a history of mental illnesses including depression and anxiety. I am so disappointed in them. You should at least give patients the resources they need to get help elsewhere if you cannot help your own patients. I cant believe you would send away a patient who really needed your help and now because you didnt want to help that patient has committed suicide and has past away. How heartless and unprofessional.

I would rate this hospital a 0. I waited a WEEK in a hospital after a suicide attempt to be admitted here because 1. My family works with CHI. 2. Located near family. 3. New facility you would think they knew what they were doing.I waited a week in the hospital for wellfound to finally say no they cannot take me. I was cleared physically by doctors it was 100% on their terms. They even had all emergency beds open. I just heard of a young mans passing due to being turned away by wellfound. When someone needs help THEY NEED HELP!!! I thought I was the only one who got turned away, but I’m not and this is inhumane. The young man who passed deserves justice and there needs to be something done about the mental health hospitals in Washington state.
