I used to hire Russ to do all kinds of detail work. At the time, he was very good and reasonably priced.I quit using him because he became too busy to return my calls for additional work and I discovered, through several other people I know using his service, that they also couldnt get return calls on work he was currently contracted on.The current word on the street is hell tell you Structural Design is 6 weeks out and the Engineers slowly quit taking your calls after 8 weeks and finally finishing in 12-14 if your lucky.Th money you save using Russ will easily be offset several times over with delays in getting permits submitted and interest cary costs on your lot.
Was referred by a friend, Discussed with Russ a commercial Deck that failed city inspection, Russ came to the site next day and outlined the necessary revisions, informed me to go pick up plans the following day, Honestly Russ did a good job for me, i did all the changes that he recommended. called the inspector, his words were from the drawing the structure itself, this is a nice job. NICE JOB Russ.
I wish I could give this zero stars. Needed plans for a basic pole building worked up. After numerous weeks and multitude of attempts to get them to call me yielded NO communication at all. When I finally got the drawings there was a large perimeter footing under the slab that I wanted to be removed due to cost, there were other items they put in that was not needed as part of a pole building and not part of my request even though I provided pictures and drawings of what I wanted. They charged me 3 additional hours of engineering time. It took me weeks more time to get this 3 hours job done, again multiple attempts to have them call me back. Only when I threatened legal action did Russ call me back.I finally got the plans and instead of removing the footer as requested, they only made it smaller claiming they need to me below the frost line. I called the county and that IS NOT required by code and they have never seen that before the guy said.I need to get this built, PNE took so long I am now behind schedule, so I need to take these plans and HOPE the county will accept them. I do not have the patience to wait more months nor can I afford start over with a good firm.
PNE was available quickly to do an on-site review of an addition that was built without a permit. However, it then took me a month of calling to get the actual drawings and letter. A critical part of the drawing was very wrong - showing a foundation where there is slab. The work was rejected by the county and they would not allow me to submit a revision without the engineer signing off. After probably 15 attempts over two months to get Russ Bodge to return my call and fix his work, Ive given up. I am filing a complaint with the state and will pursue legal means to get the money I paid for defective work returned.
Started this process in March of this year Im still waiting on my plans what a joke 6 months.Just like everyone else Russ wont return my calls. Its funny the only 5 star they have was from Russ and its about parking. This is not a good company save yourself some pain go anywhere else.
I worked for Russ Bodge for 2 months. I left due to a bounced check and he still has not paid my wages for the last month plus 3 days. So many people warned me about him. All the signs are there in that office. I had to file an L & I claim to get my wages. He is deplorable, irresponsible, and derelict of his responsibilities. He has done this to other people too so be warned. Dont trust himArthur P.E.
PNE has parking space for customers on the backside of the building along the loading dock. Look for the signs for Pacific Northwest Engineering. When you enter from the backside of the building, you will be on the third floor. To get to the office #310, just past the elevators, turn right and they are the last door at the end of the hall on the left looking out towards the front side of the building.
Puts a boot on your car and charges $125 to remove it if you park in his parking space by mistake
Unprofessional.
