The prices seem decent. The mechanics seem trustworthy. Nevertheless, they have a problem with reading comprehension. I left a note on an 8*11 paper neatly written stating to fix whatever the problem was. What do they do? They call me first to tell me whats wrong, the price, then ask if I want it fixed!!! Smh!! My note said to fix it!!!!!! Wow!!!! Smh!!!
April 28, 2021: What a difference a manager makes. Vinny did an outstanding job and went above and beyond all the time. I had more than one of our cars worked on there. He is not there anymore.I just brought my truck in to get brake work done. The comment that I got back was that they couldnt get the parts. (As a reminder this is a brake shop) I thought this was odd and called another Monro nearby and they were able to secure the parts before I got off the phone. I then had to tow my car away and waste my time moving my vehicle to another location. I had a bad experience, fact. I am done with this Monro.
Came in for an oil change, the manager Tyler explained to me the differences between the different types of oil, the tech Chris went over my whole car to show me if worked needed to be done in the future. Highly recommend. Ask for Tyler or Chris
Well i drop my car off at this establishment to get 4 new tires. After about 5 1/2 hours i finally get the call that my car is done. When i arrive my car is still inside the bay... No worries. I go inside i’m talking to tyler the manager and i pay him. As i do so the tech backs my car up to the front door and leaves my driver side door open. Me thinking its just courtesy i hop in my vehicle and drive home about 2 miles away. As soon as i get out of my vehicle i notice EXTENSIVE damage to my driver side door. Consistent with someone backing into a lift while the door was open. I immediately bring it back to the establishment. The tech DENIES doing this even with the fresh blue paint on my door consistent with the color of their lifts. Overall i went in there with confidence and trusted them with my vehicle. Its safe to say i will never return to this location or any others. The least you can do is own up to your wrong doings! I’m a human and understand that accidents happen. But c’mon. Drop your car off at your own risk.
Bought two brand new tires for my RAM from Amazon. Included into the price, was that they were going to ship it to Monro. Mount & balance them for me. The two young men there were very personable, friendly & professional. I had no problems with my experience at Monro. I would do it again in a second. And refer them to anybody I know.

The guys at Monro are super helpful. I had a leaky radiator and took my car right to see what was going on.
I was visiting Massachusetts from 4 states away and my brakes decided that it would be a wonderful time to start squealing really badly. I brought it into monroes place and it was an hour before closing they told me what was wrong with my car and said that they are willing to get the parts and fix it right then and there. They didnt overcharge for a short notice walk in appointment and they were very nice and understanding about me being nervous about my car. They had it fixed in about an hour and a half and I paid they and they sent me on my way. Being a woman going to an auto shop out of state I was expecting to be charged a ridiculous amount but they were fair and kind I really do recommend them.
I had such a great experience at the Swansea Monro, they fit me in immediately and were so quick to answer my questions. They even brought me back to show me what was needed and why. As someone who hates going to the mechanic they made the process pain free. I now have a go to place for these type of things. HIGHLY recommend.

Floor to ceiling windows offer a full view of the mechanic bays at Monro Auto. They offer a clear view of the work being done, which is a great confidence booster not offered by most high speed oil change and service shops. The big star here is the 20 dollar oil change. I cant change it myself that cheap. Clean. Friendly. Good variety of magazines. Lots of parking. Easy to get an ice cream cone next door while you wait.
It was great to get a reminder phone call from Joe, the manager, to let me know that Im due for an oil change. I work as a tax professional and of course it slipped my mind. Thanks for the reminder and I was able to set up an appointment before I have to get into my office. The staff is always courteous and helpful. Theyve definitely earned my business!
I went in for an oil change which is always a quick visit. As little as I had done on my car this center had a warm friendly feeling. Joe the general manager did talk with everyone about that came in for service. I will return for any services needed as it is very hard to find a friendlier staff anywhere
I have been coming to this location for 3yrs now and the staff has never disappointed me. This past weekend I blew two tires and this shop In Swansea went above and beyond to get my car back on the road. Joe and his crew are the best and I will always back that. They care and really try to help and give you the best advice along with the best service. Guarantees are good to have but if you have anything done at this shop your guaranteed to have it done right !!!!!!!Thank you Joe and to the entire crew for yet again a job very well done!
The staff and mechanics were all very cheerful. I called ahead to schedule an oil change and was greeted with Its a great day at Monros! Despite being very busy they get the work done in a timely manner and make sure that your car leaves as clear as it come.
If I could leave negative stars I would. Do not take your car here to get anything done. They do not know what they are doing and will destroy parts to your car without telling you. They will also try to charge you more money to fix an issue they made or will make something to get more money from you. Had my brakes done a few months ago on a car Ive had for 5 years without any troubles. They broke lug nuts without informing me. My tires began immediately emitting high pitched squeals and grinding metal sounds. Took it back 3 times before they would fix it and then when it continues they tried to tell us it was because of another issue on our car. Just got it back from the actual dealer mechanic and there was no issues except for the ones Monroe caused. Terrible business.
I was turned away from a certain Somerset tire business this morning. I wont name who but they just brushed me off without any options. Didnt ask me to come back later, Monday or even try to schedule an appointment. I am now a former customer of this place. I went to Munro tire and even though they were busy he checked and fixed my tire for me right away and at a very fair price. Little did the manager know that I would be using the car that he fixed to drive my family to South Carolina in a week so he did me a huge favor and I am greatly appreciative. I will now go here for my general automotive needs. Bye bye Somerset tire business. You need to work on your customer service.
Had a pinch flat and they wouldnt even check to see if they had my tire in stock! Went to Firestone instead and received excellent service. Never call Monro in a pinch, because I know I wont. They are reluctant to help you. Save yourself the trouble and go to Firestone for better service.
I have had multiple experiences at this location over the last few years. I dont go anywhere else now. You wont regret bringing your cars here. The staff are extremely kind and helpful, getting jobs done in a timely, efficient manner. Thank you Joe and everyone at this site for helping to keep my family and I safe on the road
Brought my car in Thursday for an oil change & was talking to the assistant manager Shawn Machado on how many miles I should go and what type of oil I should use. He was very helpful and friendly and guided me in the right direction. Will definitely go there again for service.

Ive been coming to this location since I got my new car in 2015 and I havent been disappointed yet. There was only one issue with an oil change where an old piece was left in place and a new one put on top of it which caused a slow oil leak. They had me in no questions asked, found the problem, and got it taken care of at no charge! Very happy indeed.

DO NOT GO HERE ! Mechanics are the worst I go to get an oil change and they said to busy to come back later at 5:30 so I go and everything is pitch black dark no signs of anyone there ! Do they think its funny to make me drive back and it be closed ? And it is veterans day (observing) but the guy is the one to tell me to come at 5:30! Some joke this place is I will NEVER go here again and if you were smart dont go either this shop is a Joke

I just recently purchased an older Ford F-150 (1996) and I needed to do an oil change quickly and my days off are few and hectic to say the least. They fit me into the sched nicely also took time to evaluate the truck and let me know what needed to be done ... in this case they said it was an older vehicle but it was in really nice shape no real concerns or areas to review. Nice to have a local shop with people who just wanna do a good job. Plus the truck takes 6.1 qts which came to under 30$... I cant buy the oil for that price let alone filter and labor. They are inexpensive and have great quality work.
Joseph Morra runs a great shop! The staff was all very friendly and they got me in and out for a full service very quickly! I dont know much about cars and made it known to Joseph, but he didnt make me feel silly or dumb or talk down to me for it. He came into the waiting room to update me on what was going on with my car multiple times also, which I really appreciated!
If you don’t want to be screwed then do not go to this Monroes. I became loyal to them getting my oil changes every 2-3 months because I drive a lot . But it seems like they hired new mechanics or something is going on. They tried claiming I need ALL new rotors and pads when I JUST changed my back rotors only a year ago. Then they claimed the stud on my back drivers wheel was jammed. I proceeded to sit there for 2.5 hours (mind you for an oil change and to check my front brakes) after they tried charging me $930 I made an appointment for the next week . While then I called NAHAs down the road and said my back brakes were in great condition and wearing down great. My front brakes did need new rotors and pads (btw went in for this at Monroe’s because it’s been a good 2.5-3 years since they were maintained) I was then told my calipers were not properly put on correct on my back brakes and said this could have caused an accident. Nahas took care of my car for a better price.Btw probably should get more professional workers when the tech is saying F this and F that and if you don’t do your brakes now it will be “a pain in my balls” doesn’t really appeal to every audience. But honestly this was a gross experience and glad I found a mechanic not willing to steal my money. So thank you in the end Monroe’s because I wouldn’t have looked elsewhere.

Im not coming back here, they were running a Synthetic oil change special for $59 plus tax and service special that included 5 quarts, somehow my car took 7 quarts even though ive been servicing it through Toyota for the last two years and they never told me my car takes 7 quarts and is more money. I ended paying $96 for the supposed extra quarts. I called Toyota to confirm how many quarts I have and how much it is, they have a similar special but I was told that i have 6.4 quarts and the total is $55 plus tax and no more. How does an oil change go from $59 to $96? for just two more quarts that my car actually doesnt have. Ive done oil changes at other Monros back where i come from and there is no extra $37 dollars for no extra quarts. The audacity these places have to lie to your face just to make a few bucks. Just for that youve lost a loyal customer.
They make too many mistakes one after another. I was there for 4 hours waiting on them to fix my right side bearing .Then had to come back and have the car fix right 4 days later another 2 hours more. Because he put the first bearing in backwoods.They should of giving me my money back 135 bucks later + gas and time!!Also watch out! Their is a very deep and dangerous pothole rite at the entrance to the shop..Lol. If the manager existed there and reads this please give me my money back and a gift card to Jiffy lube.lol
