I’ve been going here for almost 2 years and even after all this time I still really enjoy coming to class and try to me it even if plans are a little tight. The coach here was super nice when I first met him and teaches the whole class discipline which I don’t really mind because it teaches everyone better work ethics and to try your hardest for everything. Ever since I started I’ve noticed my self confidence increasing and I really feel like this sport is for me even though it’s not for everyone. I’ve even found myself finding ways to do parkour out in public just because of how fun it is. Even though this sport is pretty difficult it is still so much fun and definitely a workout.
I have been a student of LEAP parkour for about 6 months now, and all I can say is that it was the best thing that has ever happened to me. This class has made my self confidence boost up so much more, I’m losing weight, getting more fit, and most importantly, learning and having fun. I’ve wanted to do parkour. for 6 years and I finally got into it. Parkourists and Freerunners have always inspired me, but Coach David, Kyle, And Nick, inspire me the most. Thanks LEAP!
I highly recommend leap. I have had the opportunity to train with coach David on multiple occasions couldn’t ask for a better teacher/ leader. If you want to push yourself mentally and physically through parkour and team building activities this is the gym for you.
Met the owner today, super super nice!
KSG Parkour is AWESOME!!! The owner is the Most Incredible person I have ever dealt with. He treated me and my child with respect and held him on high when he did something good and corrected him when he messed up. Something that I believe Most Suwanee parents dont Value about his academy. David knows how to motivate people. I for one am very happy that he isnt a class clown and takes his job seriously teaching people to respect the rules of the gym and the sport that like all sports takes time to master. I am strongly against people in these reviews who try to blemish the image of a person just because he or she isnt what they want them to be. Parents should grow up and look at all the good KSG Parkour does for the community and kids like mine. Further more his dedication to his students is far beyond what you will find at other facilities. David has proven to all of us here to be both reliable and of great character. Bottom Line David is a Great Person. His Facility is a great place to learn the sport of Parkour and I recommend KSG Parkour to any parent that is of sound mind and is thinking about their childs overall growth as a person and athlete!
This place is not safe for a seven year olds birthday party. It was under construction and tools were stored where the children played. The guy working was horrible, he was awkward with the kids and clearly not into the job. He was on and off his phone during the whole party while the parents did his job. No concern for safety, no safety glasses, very high climbing areas without railings. This place is an accident waiting to happen.I just have to point out all the phony five stars reviews that miraculously appeared seconds after my posting. Just so you know, I have pictures and plan on hand delivering them to the Swanee building department first thing Monday morning. We will let them decide if your business is appropriate for young children. I wonder what your insurance company would think. Good luck!
Great place for kids to become athletes! My son has been going for about 6 months and LOVES it. The coaches are great, highly recommend!
My son had the Best Birthday Party Ever today at LEAP! The facility was amazing and the coaches were very helpful. We came all the way from Cumming and was exited to find out that the facility is a parkour gym something my child always wanted to do. It was like walking into a movie set. We absolutely love the way everything is built! We picked the Nerf Party because my son loves Nerf but the coaches were nice enough to include some parkour. That was a real treat.. The owner is one of the nicest people I have ever met and even preformed a few flips for the kids. My son took to him very quickly and we will be coming back for classes. The assistant coach looked straight out of college but was very good with the kids. I highly recommend LEAP for anyone looking to have a birthday party for their child.
The owner is the worst person ever i will never come there again
My son has been to other gyms that have been substandard in training and motivation. My son has excelled at Leap parkour due to the training methods applied. It is a safe and encouraging environment for the kids to accomplish more each visit.
First of all, I LOVE THIS PLACE! Both my child and I, take private sessions with the owner. People who dont follow the rules here should not practice the sport of Parkour. I feel comfortable watching my son train because of the rules and equipment. There are plenty of pads for everyone to train safely. Anyone can get hurt in any sport, like even football. I read some of the comments and decided to put my 2 cents in. For people to attack the KSG family of which I consider our family to be apart of is crazy. They are nice people there, always improving and keeping it engaging for adults and kids. We come to the owners aide simply because he would do the same for us. These parents should be ashamed of themselves. I would never react if my son couldnt follow rules OR if he didnt want to participate in the sport. I support my son and what he wants and encourage him to follow the rules. I love that they care about everyone who walks through those doors, by having rules to protect us. Again We support KSG Parkour!!!
My son is home schooled. He is am incredible athlete and is very bright. Finding things that interest him has proven difficult and finding things that keep his attention is nearly impossible. Last summer we decided to try parkour for a week session and my son has never looked back. He recently added to the package we have and now attends class here 4 times a week. He had grown as a person, athlete and student and we have had nothing but positive interactions with the owners. I find they are constantly pushing to engage and encourage, develop and challenge. I love that every time I go there are new obstacles and new courses. This is a part of why my son is never bored. If you are looking for a place to help build confidence, strength, or provide a great workout, this is definitely a place to go. Trust me, Ive tried almost everything else! Thanks for all your time, energy and passion. Its made all the difference and we appreciate it.
My daughter loves her training at Leap Parkour. She is training to be a stunt actress and is learning many skills to help her accomplish this.
MY KID LOVES IT! We have been going to KSG for over a year and my kid truly does enjoy it, he comes out of there sweaty, soar, tired and with a big smile. The owner priority is the kids, he gives them 100% so if you go in there be prepared to enjoy watching them train until the class is over. Give KSG a try I bet your kid will like it too.
One of the best places I have ever been to the coach and the rest the great people who I get to train with has helped me gain so much confidence. I took my sister to and open gym and she says it one of the best places to have fun train and the nerf wars are the most fun we have so far
There for a birthday party for 5-6 year olds. Rip saw and other construction tools literally laying around where kids were. Scrap wood tucked away several places. Fairly high-powered nerf battle but no safety goggles offered for eye protection for the kids. Sole staff member was on his phone a bunch. Place is clearly still under construction or expansion mode. May be ok for adults, but not kid ready.
I think that since Ive gone to LEAP for almost 6 months, it is safe to say that the owner participates and engages with his students. He likes to have fun during his training sessions and incorporates almost every, if not all, aspects of parkour and freerunning into his sessions. This includes flips and traversing urban environments. The nerf parties that Ive been to are more than fun because the activities make the kids use what the can to avoid being hit by the darts. Ive also made a lot of friends while Ive gone because of the friendly environment.
Kids had a great time. The guide was good with the kids. The front desk staff acted like they were complete idiots and unable acknowledge a persons presents. Owner was not helpful. Over priced. We called about the birthday price 3 times and got 3 different answers. It could be awesome with different staff.
My son has been coming here for over 18 months and we are truly excited about his growth physically and mentally as well as his increase in confidence! At 7, he was the youngest participant in the recent UNAA competition. We both had a great time! As he continues to grow and mature with the life and Parkour lessons he receives on a weekly basis from Coach David, we are confident that this is just the first competition of many more to come!
Love this place so much! Its a ton of fun for everyone no matter what age! The people are so friendly and it helps test your ability! I love all the new obstacles that are brought in!
I learned about Leap Parkour a few months ago. I called to inquire about details and was invited to come observe a class that same day. My 3 energetic boys tried it the next day and immediately loved it. We attended 3 days a week for the first month and now are attending 6 days a week, most weeks. Their interest has not faded which is shocking for children these days. My boys attend public school and need a regular release of energy that they dont seem to get elsewhere.Coach David and Coach Kyle work very well with the children. They are no nonsense and direct with their corrections of performance and behavior, but equally encouraging. I appreciate having firm, positive male influence in their lives. We seem to be a society where children are much more exposed to female influence than male. My boys werent sure how to respond at first, but they have adapted quickly. (Women tend to be a bit softer, while men are more direct in my opinion.) My boys are becoming stronger physically, but are also growing more into young men as they observe, train, and have goals to achieve. In their own words:Boy 1- I like parkour because its fun and they teach us important skills that we can use later in life.Boy 2- So, I like parkour because I like when we climb up the tower on the pole and also when we do flips.Boy 3- I like it because I get to exercise and make muscles and the people there are nice.
I have been attending this gym for a few years now and feel like I have grown a lot with it, it has helped me toughen up and improve physically, which comes handy in things such as my training for JROTC raiders, it’s great for testing limits and improving in things even outside of parkour
We had a birthday party here for our son with 16 six and 7 year old children. When we arrived, we were unpleasantly surprised that the location was still under construction. There were surfaces with screws sticking out, power tools left in locations where children could get to them, ripped safety mats, missing safety mats, dirty floors, no garbage cans in the restrooms, no safety goggles provided for the nerf war, nerf guns that didn’t work, and the list goes on and on. The kid leading our party was on his phone 50% of the time. He was rude, uninterested, and inexperienced. When I asked him to move the saw for safety, I was told to just keep the kids away from it. When we asked what the kids were going to land on if they fell off the eight foot drop, we were told, “I’ll hold them away from the edge!” If you are considering having your child’s party here, I highly recommend you do not. The owner is rude and was unwilling to hear our complaints. In hindsight, we should have paid more attention to the reviews and toured the establishment first. We also noticed that all the five star reviews have only reviewed his location and, coincidentally, come after a negative review. Kyle was the guy who ran our party...he left 2 five star reviews, along with one of his family members (another Thorton) as though they were customers. Read David’s (the owner) rebuttals to the bad reviews - he talks about “expansion” being “a good thing.” What he’s not telling you is that he recently moved his business from another location nearby and changed his name - KSG Parkour. Read those reviews....do your homework. I have submitted complaints to BBB, our credit card company, and will be submitting them to the city of Suwanee and the building department. I have pictures. I have videos. We feel bamboozled and ripped off. BEWARE!!
Love this place !If u are serious about training this is the right place to be ! Rain or shine, hot or cold nothing stop them ( that how team memories are made and that’s how you learn that nothing will stop you from doing what you want ) ! They mean training!! You enroll in this facility and you won’t quit !My son been doing parkour for quite a time now, he feels it’s his Leap family, he can’t wait for his first competition !David great serious coach, respect you and your kid, never put anyone down, whether you are beginner or professional, he treat all the same, he pushes my son and build his self confidence with his encouragement!it’s enough that he spend most of his day creating amazing facility for the kids ! He spend most of his time training them, you feel that this is his passion and he wanna just pass it on to the kids ! he have rules set in place to follow by all ! Leap parkour Gym is my son place to shine !
My son enjoys the training and the obstacle course changes often so he doesn’t get bored. He has improved in technique and confidence and enjoys meeting others who are passionate about parkour.
I went here for a UNAA Ninja competition. The course was bare bones and really short. Literally 30 seconds long. The fact that only 10 people showed up speaks volumes to this places reputation. After the competition was over, about 15 minutes after it started, myself and a couple others attempted to stay for open gym to make the trip worth it (we both travelled multiple hours to come to this competition). The owner proceeded to kick us out. He said if we wanted to stay for open gym wed have to pay another $25. When I confronted him he nonchalantly said too bad and wed have to leave. He was super intense, not very personable nor accommodating. there are much better Ninja gyms in the area and Id recommend going to one of those instead of KSG.
My son has been going there for almost a year now and he absolutely loves it. The owner keeps changing the obstacles all the time to keep it interesting and so they wont get bored. Thank you for teaching and challenging my son to do better!
The best place you can go to learn parkour and open up with your self. Why you ask? I have been going here only for a year and have found significant improvement in my body structure, mental strength and much more. I use to be scared to try new things. But when I came here I automatically started to try new obstacles and try to improve at ones I dont feel comfortable at. This place really showed me my potential.
I absolutely love KSG Parkour, and David the owner (not to mention he is really hot). I can say that, Im married, and my husband agrees lol. The owner is admired and loved by all the kids. I was a counselor too and I can see that the owner has the kids best interests at heart. I agree with Luis and Bonnie, that people who try to trash talk on here are out of control because they are obviously unhappy with themselves and cant control their kids. All of us at KSG are 110% behind the owner and his wife. They are great people. I highly recommend them.
We had a party for teens there this weekend. They loved every minute and really enjoyed the young man who taught them. The ladies that work there are very nice. However, the owner is one of the rudest people I have met. My teens found him intimidating and I was offended by his yelling at me versus politely explaining that I was not allowed in the gym to video some of my kids party. Many of the kids want to join a parkour gym, after being treated so poorly, I fear we will have to look elsewhere.
If it was possible to leave less stars, I would. Updating review because this must be publicized. I have gone various times with my friend to watch her son participate in different classes (my friend likes the approach to toughen up her son due to missing dad issues). The environment there (and prices) change based on the mood of the owner, not conducive to a kids training location for any sport, in my opinion. Plus he has a raging temper and we have witnessed when he has gone off on people, not good. It was KSG parkour and now rebranded to LEAP, same ownership, just a different location and staff has changed, some good changes and some bad. If you want hardcore military type training, then yes this is for you. Great adult programs, but women be careful as his hands can travel when spotting you. I also witnessed his over-attention towards a young teenage girl with star struck eyes which left me with a sick feeling... In short, If you want a stimulating environment to foster your childrens mind and emotional well being while pushing physical limits, this is NOT the place to take your children. There is a huge difference between tough love and narcissistic emotional abuse. I wish I didnt see all the things I have seen here and pray God protects all who visit this location.--response to the facility reply: God help you. Your owner is the one that needs help in these areas. Its creepy you are offering for me to return and to help after these serious accusations.---Note for all potentials -- watch out for these accounts who have only reviewed this one place so positively, all fake accounts, very sad if you had to pay someone or if it is the owner himselfpay attention to the recent reviews, from people who actually live in the area and review places
Been here since before it opened and out of every place in GA i keep coming back here. even while i am at school in marietta
Only good parkour gym that I could do d near where I live. This place is perfect for anyone who wants to learn or get better at parkour. It is a very fun and amazing learning experience, and you also get stronger and stay in shape!
I am a novice freerunner and have been in the sport for a short time. I have worked with The owner on numerous occasions from when it was Ksg and he has been the most respectful and straight forward Parkour coach I have ever met. As a female I am always Cautious of gyms that have trainers who are unprofessional. Leap Is a family facility and they treat everyone with the upmost respect. The owner strives to give each and every person his best. Those Who attempt to disparage his good training and persona are people who envy him and the hard work he has put into his students. Probably people with nothing better to do than to talk smack about a person who spends his time helping others. He is an excellent coach and an excellent human being. My friends and I recommend leap parkour to anyone looking to learn the sport.
My husband and I have had our daughter at LEAP PArkour (formerly KSG PARKOUR) and the service is exceptional! We are shocked that some people on here have the audacity to talk about a person who is on the most part almost always is building things for the members so they can get better. The owner has coaches who he himself has trained to teach and attend parties. The training is tough but the sport of parkour from what I know is no laughing matter and takes decipline. I know the majority of the parents at LEAP and I can speak for them that the owner is the best coach our kids have ever encountered and what’s awesome is that he still is very active in the sport and can do the techniques he teaches. Individuals who claim to know him and speak badly are definitely spammers that are not real clients at LEAP. In conclusion I highly recommend David and LEAP for teaching my child correctly and with respect.
There is no one governing the safety and equipment in this gym. It is al made by the owners, including the pads. BEWARE! My son was seriously injured there (two broken wrists and a severe concussion) and the owner actually went on the attack on ME. My son was a role model student and certainly a dedicated student. The owner broke his heart with his treatment of him when the accident happened and showed NO concern for his well being whatsoever. The man is a loose cannon and CANNOT be trusted with your children! Youve been warned...
Owner is incredibly rude. We tried to do a summer camp there with our two sons. My oldest, who was incredibly excited to go to camp, got a little hurt from lack of proper padding under one of the obstacles, took a break. When I was called 30 minutes into the camp to talk to him, I encouraged him to go try it again and have fun, the camp owner proceeded to talk harshly too him over the phone ( i was still on and could hear everything) about that he didnt look ready to go try again, and he should just stay and watch a movie if he wasnt 100% ready to try it again. I went back to pick up my son because now he felt like he wasnt wanted. When I kindly tried to explain that as a camp counselor you should try to encourage and lift the kids up, the owner YELLED at my stating It isnt my job to raise your kids. Now I worked in childcare and I would never speak to a parent, or quiet frankly a child this way. Kids trying new things need encouragement, and that is a whole different thing than raising them. I will never step foot anywhere near this place with my children and would advise you stay away too. Rude and very unprofessional.
My son wanted to learn parkour so we searched and tried many schools and private class individuals. All places varied in price and hospitality. We live in Athens and used to drive two hours to Atlanta to have him train in a much bigger facility with plenty of courteous employees who did nothing but make you and your child feel special but with no results or very, very, very slow results. A business tactic of course meant to drain your pockets but you dont mind because they pamper not only the kids but their parents every whim . However, my son is a professional athlete in Martial Arts ( Second Degree on his way to 3rd degree in Tae Kwon Do) and has been trained by highly qualified professionals all his life and has done other sports that carry the risk of injury and he needed something more. This place is incredibly professional at all levels. ...You will see the hardest working owner out there that knows his stuff and has zero excuses for anything. My son loved David as a coach the first day he went. ....and a year later....he still loves David and the program he personally tailors for his needs in the one-to one, training. My son is doing the one-to one training to meet physical demands that are required in order to compete for National Ranking for Tae Kwon Do Olympic qualifications. My son also does the Leap Program and Parkour classes. The owner is a serious person. He has passion for his profession. He loves kids, but he doesnt baby them. This school and the owner have rules set in place to keep children from injuring themselves or others and David takes that very serious. Believe me, if you are serious about your training..... he doesnt need you---you need him....He trains conventional and unconventional.....Love the school, the discipline, the respect and the level of professional that he delivers.
David and Sandra were wonderful to speak with on the phone, very informative, and have us psyched up to try this!Weve are looking forward to our first session!
Phenomenal Experience!!!I dont even know where to begin with KSG Parkour. Ive been to plenty of parkour gyms and other fitness centers. With that being said, after visiting KSG two years ago, I havent been to another gym since. KSG has everything that anyone could need in a parkour gym and fitness center. KSG does two things very well that many other places struggle with. They interact with all age groups very well, and they give back to the community as shown by their great contributions to St. Judes. I recommend KSG to anyone looking for a place to train.
I love this gym. Im new to parkour, so Im trying to get the hang of things. And the classes stay at a good pace where I can keep up; and the coach is very good at pushing us to our limit but keeps it safe. Its the kind of enviorment thats great for people who are new to parkour and want to train hard and want to stay safe, and for those with experience that want to stay sharp and have fun.
Great place to train.
Gave a whole hearted try at KSG for our son. Nice place, love the Keurig in the waiting area, but thats about all the good we can say. Seems every night we are there, they are building something during class. Saws and drills are making a lot of noise. The owner typically does not have a shirt on while doing the construction...not what we would do, but hey. Last week, the floors were getting redone, so we had class outside. That was cool. Tonight though, the interaction with the owners unfortunately means we will not return. First, there were at least 10 of us (kids and parents) wanting to enter the gym at 5:20pm for our 5:30pm class, but the door was locked. The wife owner finally came to the door at 5:32pm to open the door from the inside. I asked if everything was ok, she replied we were in the back, sorry I guess with all the building, they lost track of time for their paying customers. Then, after cheering my son on during his class, I was approached by the wife owner. She told me that I was being a distraction to the coach and class as my voice was making it hard for the students to hear at times. Keep in mind that the very loud sawing and drilling has been going on since the class started. I was told to keep my voice down. Yes, I was told to keep my voice down. Anyhoo, I approached the shirtless husband owner and mentioned that his sawing and building was a major distraction, so why would I be told to be quiet? His reply was this...If you distract the kids and your son gets hurt, its on you! I then said What about the constant noise you are creating? His reply was this...If your son breaks an ankle, then its on me REALLY. I was pretty dumbfounded. Speechless in fact. We will finish out our 30 days notice and not return after that. Bummer, as it has potential. As a business owner, shouldnt your policy be to do whatever is in your power to make sure NO ONE gets injured in your business??? Dont scold a parent for being a distraction, when you are making a whole lot of racket and feel justified because your insurance will cover any injury that might result. We wish you well.
Ksg parkour is more than a gym, I have gone from student to coach and made friends and connections all while enjoying the art form of parkour.
We had our sons 8th birthday party here. All of the kids loved (and had a blast) learning parkour and taking their turns at the ninja warrior course. Our son has been going to KSG 3 days a week for the past year, year and a half. We have had zero issues with the facility and zero issues with the owner or anyone else that works here. We would (and have) recommend KSG Parkour to anyone looking to try their hands at parkour. One thing we have noticed Is the parkour community is a tight and encouraging community. If you are looking to try out parkour or ninja warrior, please stop by KSG Parkour. You will not be disappointed. Will add a picture of my sons birthday party if I can figure out how.
I have never been there but it looks so cool! I hope to have my birthday party there.
Joy in ParKour ExperienceI never write a review of anything; I just don’t have extra moments in my days. However, bringing Keller (age 6) and Kollins (age 5) to KSGParKour for lessons twice a week the past five months has been pure joy. They finish class with sweaty hair and grins on their faces. We can all see the gains they’ve made in skills and confidence. And always, always, they have fun. At ParKour they’ve worked with different coaches and made new friends. Outside of ParKour, Keller plays baseball and football, and his strength, speed, and coordination have improved. Kollins wants to be a gymnast, and she’s built her strength and flexibility.Coach David believes in discipline and order: The safety rules for the gym are posted and enforced. Classes begin on time. When Coach David is not teaching the class himself, he is overseeing the staff member who is. He ensures that the students properly complete warm-up stretches, and that their coach leads them through a variety of running, jumping, vaulting, and climbing activities each session. Each child is encouraged to develop to his or her maximum potential. I wish that all children had an opportunity to learn in such a safe, positive, challenging, fun environment.
If i were to take my son, he knows nothing of it but still wants to learn will he be pushed to much or will he be able to do any obstacle he wants
This is a fun place to do parkour and training!!!!!
Great place very fun
Coooool place
