I’m a long time loyal customer but today experienced very poor customer service. Not only did I have to wait at least 7 min to speak with a service rep but the service rep was very short with me and gave me a take it or leave it attitude.The place was surprisingly not even busy so not sure why the lack of service.Will think twice before considering coming here next time.
I came in on a Sunday and was the third car in line. I got checked in and told Millis that I need a new battery. I had to jump start my car a couple of times. He replied they’ll check that and test the battery. So I wait inside for over one hour. I text him from the waiting area, after an hour, to ask the status of my car. He never responded. So after 10 minutes, I just walk over to his office area at the Service station and ask him what is going on since he didn’t respond to my text, and it’s been over one hour since I got here at opening time. He said they tested the battery and it failed. I replied “Yes! I knew that! I already told you that when I got here! I told you I need a new battery.” It’s like all I said to Millis when I first arrived was ignored. So he said it will take a few minutes for them to put in the new battery. So I have to wait even longer. So all in all, I waited two hours, even after I was the 3rd car to arrive at opening, just to get a new battery put in my car.Update:JAMES AUSTIN likes to reply to reviews with “cut and paste” automatic and run-the-mill answers. He says to call him to discuss any negative experience. Have any of you all noticed he does not leave a contact number in any of his replies to the negative reviews? And if you call the number provided on their website or Google, and you ask for him, they say “He’s not in right now. Can I take a message? Or perhaps leave a call back number so he can call you.”Terrible place. Terrible customer service. James Austin needs to reply with his contact number and not just his email if he wants to have a real discussion with so many unhappy customers.
Had a great experience ordering some parts and getting spare keys cut for my car. The employee that helped me was super quick and helpful.
Ivonne was a great help and super knowledgeable with my cars maintenance. The only thing I am going to say negative is when you guys maintenance cars make sure you reset the buttons. The oil and tire rotation button weren’t reset. It still showed my oil was at 20%. Luckily I figured out how to reset it and didn’t have to come back
Talked to female on the phone about make, model and year of vehicle. Then problem with vehicle. Set appointment. When arrived to appointment, none of my information had been recorded. Problem with vehicle was dismissed as none issue. No recourse was given to fix problem. Went back to local area in Sacramento. Folsom lake Toyota service center helped. Mr. St.Pierre aka Rocky was sympathetic of sub par services in Sunnyvale and even gave a discount and apology on behalf of Toyota. Will not trust Sunnyvale Toyota services again. I wish it had been a different interaction.

Lou served me for my 165k service, and he went above and beyond his scope to help me with the services I needed to keep my car in good shape. I had come to this service center more often than other locations despite not living in the area because Ive been treated well.
Came here 3x and it’s my fault for returning (it’s because I live so close to this location).First time visit for 25K service, Steven helped me. He told me a routine maintenance was only going to take a couple of hours, so I waited. After 2 hours, still not done. It took them 3 hours to complete it.Second time, I came back to give them a second chance for a 30K service. Hector helped me and heres the shady part: I have a Toyota Care package extension so a cabin air filter replacement, engine air filter replacement, and inspect/adjust all fluid levels is included in the package. He charged me $648.56 for these services and wrote it off as customer authorized. When I told him I have a Toyota Care package extension, he said these items were not part of the package. This was my fault for not doing my research and paid it because I care about my car.Third visit, again. John helped me and no surprise, tried to sell me additional services which shouldn’t happen because I bought an extension maintenance plan. I was there for a 35K service, but my report says 5K service. Sloppy work.The only person at that dealership that has provided any decent customer service is David the gentleman who has dropped/picked me up via shuttle service.This is the worst Toyota Service location and I AM NEVER COMING BACK HERE. I expect a prompt response from Toyota Sunnyvale Customer service team to contact me for a $648.56 reimbursement. Otherwise, I will be taking the next necessary steps and will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission. This is truly unacceptable.I HAVE RECIEPTS!
DONT COME HERE FOR MAINTENANCE, unless you have tons of money to burn. I came here for a regular maintenance service, the sale ask for $1,300 for some regular items without inspecting the conditions of my vehicle. I have done similar service at other dealers in CA for less than $200.
They never answer their phone, so I made an appointment online to fix a flat tire and swap out the spare as well as fix my brakes (resurface the rotors). I arrived for my appointment on time, and was only helped 30 minutes later (might have been later if I didnt try getting someones attention). They quoted over $700 for everything (I notice they really try to upsell their customers). I decided to just get the tire fixed, which they quoted $60. They claim to have a shuttle, but the front desk has no idea when it will come back, so it is useless. I end up taking an Uber. They end up calling me later in the day saying they cant fix the tire because the hole is too close to side. They could have inspected the tire and discovered this before I even left. I Uber back and pick up my car and wasnt charged. All in all I wasted 3 hours of my life and $30 on Uber for this.I suggest not coming here and going to local shop instead. I ended up going to SLT Auto repair and got everything done quickly for only $140.

Worst customer service ever, they sold me a service package and told me it covers oil change and tire rotation and it works everywhere in US, I moved to San Jose and went to Milpitas service center they said the package covers only oil change. When I was trying to call back Sunnyvale service center to clarify the staff were very rude and hang up on me while I was still asking my question. It happened 3 times!, they were very friendly when selling the package though.

SCAMMERSCharged a $100 fee for a Toyota system update that was offered free at another dealership.Tried to scam me when I asked about replacing a fastener to my wheel well liner by suggesting a full liner replacement for $400. Bought the fastener for $2.25 from the parts counter and installed myself. They even tried ripping me off on this and selling it to me for $4 instead of the $2.25 price listed online and at every other dealer.
Took a bit more than committed time, waited 25 minutes even after reserving appointments. no car cleaning etc.
They offer a great customer experience, this was my second visit and I am pretty happy with their service

Came in for a Toyota factory system update. Toyota directly informed me of this update and asked me to take it to any dealer to get the update installed for free. Made an appointment at Toyota Sunnyvale and they wanted $110 when I showed up. I told them its a Toyota system update and its supposed to be free, they said the update is free but they will charge $110 service fee. LOL. Ended up going to another Toyota dealership and got everything done for free, as promised.
Avoid this place, this dealer is not trust worthy. I have been going there for service for years. And today I went in because my battery dead which they never informed me of that its over its lifetime a long time ago. Then they randomly charged me 100$ for diagnose without providing me any proper reports. And then asking for another 500$ to replace a battery that only cost 300$ to be replaced at another toyota dealer.

Bill was honest and straightforward about an issue with my tire pressure light and helped us get a correct diagnosis and make an informed decision. Be careful with other reps who may try to scare with a $300 quote for a diagnosis.
Their service sales staff will rip you off by lying and convincing you to do unnecessary and expensive service. They will also play the lets pray it doesnt break card. DO NOT GO THERE FOR SERVICE. YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF!

I had to go there for a factory service recall, initially they told me it would take them up to 6 hours to finish the repairs. I asked Olivia from the service desk if they can make the repairs ASAP and she quickly sorted things out. She had me out of there within 2.5 hours, excellent service. I bought my truck from them 10 years ago and when Im in the market for another vehicle Ill definitely be going back.
No friendly greeting when you arrive at the service center. No signs on where to go for the write-up during covid times. Surprised that I had to enter a closed room instead of outside. Didnt get my oil changed as it was more expensive than I expected.
Quick and friendly service. However was astonished that they recommended a battery service for about $200 -- when all that was needed was cleaning of battery terminals; change of felt pads and some greese ($14 worth)
Friendly service, but their appointment system is broken. I made an appointment online, but it is not connected to anything, so they had no record of my appointment when I arrived. I needed a software recall performed, and the letter that I received from Toyota said that it would take 45 minutes. They gave me a time estimate of 4-5 hours, so I decided to leave. To their credit, the customer service that I experience was excellent, and they seem to be operating efficiently.

I had to get my tire changed due to a blow-out on the road. Since Ive been coming here for some time, my info and everything was already in the system, as well as my tire purchase history. Steven Ferrell was able to contact the company that provides the road hazard guarantee, and get me a replacement tire for just the cost of installation and taxes. Throughout the entire situation he kept me updated, and the actual cost came in below his estimate!
They tend to do a good job on my vehicle. The issue is that unless you schedule your appointment early (before 9 am), a simple tire rotation and inspection can take 4-5 hours. Which is fine if you can use their shuttle service to go home or to work. But if you dont want to rely on a car ride back to the dealership its a long time to wait for a fairly simple service.
I expected more based on my previous experience with Toyota service in Riverside.1. In Riverside, they had complementary car wash.2. They have dedicated booth for new cars here and it makes it worse for them not better! because you have to wait in normal line, when it is your turn, they tell you actually you have to use the EXPRESS booth. (It really doesnt make sense to me)3. Lots of unnecessary waiting here and there in comparison to my experience in Riverside.

They have been decent in the past, however this morning I dropped my car off at 7 am, they told me it would be ready at 3 pm. I called them at 3:45 to check and they said they would call me in an hour r with an update on time. Over an hour later they called to say my car would be ready at 5:30 however I had a class at 5:30 so I came by afterword since their listing here says they are open until 9 pm. I arrived at 7 on the dot as they were closing the metal roll up door and spoke to Millis who told me they closed at 7 and I needed to come back in the morning. Then he looked at me and asked why I didn’t come earlier, made no apologies and upon hearing my frustrated story decided to ask me again why I didn’t come earlier. Not once did he apologize for the incorrect info on their google listing nor did he show any compassion or qualities of someone who works in a service industry.

Service is so overpriced! Dropped my car for 5K service and was told it will cost me $395?! What for? Oil change and lubrications...and the rest are just computer checks....seriously? I said all I need is an oil change which brought the price down to $ 99. Well I guess it’s 300 for lubricant hahaha and I made a service advisor unhappy by declining the unneeded service therefore I wasn’t offered a shuttle to get me to work. Very disappointed
Complete embodiment of the stereotype stealership. Our 4 Runner was in for our 90k service in which the Toyota manual is very clear for what is required at this interval as an oil change, tire rotation and inspection. Was incorrectly told I was required to perform multiple fluid changes and other things without even inspecting the vehicle. After I passed on these options, I informed the service advisor I had a coupon for a $1.99 tire rotation with oil change using an e-mailed coupon FROM SUNNYVALE TOYOTA in which the service advisor claimed no knowledge of. After presented, she tried to sneakily add an extra $10 to the coupon price without my knowledge. I called her out and she made up a poorly thought out excuse for getting the price wrong and would fix it. This behavior is business as usual for this service department. Id youre going to rip someone off, at least show some effort 😏
