I moved into this apartment complex in August 2019. I was a bit irritated with the leasing office, Powers Properties, because they gave me keys to the wrong apartment and I had to drive all the way back to the leasing office at Aston mill. Also, the pictures on the website aren’t the apartments for Dillion trace, they are for Ashton mills. Once I got into my assigns apartment, I was staying on the third floor and loved the higher ceiling. The apartment had many parking spaces, a 5 minute walk to Dillion Park, a 6 mile trail starting on the back side of the complex, and 3 minute drive to the restaurants on broad street and to the Sumter mall. Also very close to Walmart Market. Never had any issues with neighbors or bugs inside of the apartment. Bugs are a big issue during the spring and summer within the apartment staircases. They should definitely pressure wash more than once a year. My biggest issue was contacting the property office for maintenance and having to wait 3 weeks to a month to get something fix. My particular apartment had issues with the power box. The switch for my living room would constantly shut off and when I’d turn it back on, it would occasionally spark. I’ve also had the living room light switched to spark. The day that the maintainer came to my place, I jumped out of the shower to answer the door. I asked him if he could give me 5 mins to put on some clothes, but he got an attitude with me, said I was refusing service and walked off. I called the office and they sent someone else over. When I finally got someone in to fix them, they didn’t fix it correctly and I was shocked by the light switch. Finally after calling for it to get fixed again and again, I gave up. Powers properties is quick about getting their rent payment but not taking care of maintenance. I was served an eviction note twice where the property manager said I didn’t pay rent even though I did. I had to drive all the way over to their office and show the check stub and statement of where I turned in the check to the person at the front desk. If the management and maintenance was better, I would’ve gave 5 stars .
