My family all just had our hair cut with Justin and Scott. I have to say that it felt like a real old school barber shop. Everyone who worked there acted like family. Teasing and joking and enjoying what they were doing. We were well taken care of and made to feel like long term customers rather than first timers. Our haircuts were great. They have definitely won new clients.

I have never in my life been so humiliated by a haircut. I mean literally never in my life. Everyone that works there seems professional and looks like they know how to give a haircut, but I had an old guy named jerry who ignored me the entire time. I asked for a trim, shorter on the sides and keep decent length on top. He said he could do that, and he was just going to clean it up but it would look nearly the same. My hair is incredibly short, I kept telling him to not go that short and he kept going shorter. Jokes on me for not just standing up and walking out of the chair. Not only is my hair silly short, it is so uneven. My hair looks like a kid took scissors and literally went crazy on my hair. I was not charged for the haircut, and the owner called me and made up for it. Very professional, and I probably will go again, but make sure If you go, to not get jerry. He will ignore you and humiliate you.

I have gone to Justin at Roosters since June 2020. I was nervous during COVID to spend 30-40 min getting my haircut in one place, but it got unmanageable and I had to bite the bullet. I have now been 5+ times and feel very comfortable going. The setup is very spread out, clean, everyone wears a mask, there is amply hand sanitizer and other precautions have been taken to ensure a safe environment. They have mastered the art of cutting while you keep your mask on as well. I am very impressed with the level and addition to detail taken to keep their employees and customers safe. Justin does a great job with the haircut and is a good conversationalist as well. The place is clean and the staff are friendly. Justin has gained a forever customer

Roosters in Summit, NJ is absolutely fantastic.They have a comfortable waiting area with coffee if youd like it, the staff are all knowledgeable and great at what they do, you build up relationships with them so you see someone on a regular basis, and they finish it off with a relaxing warm face towel and wash.Pricing is very reasonable for the quality of work performed.

Shaved off my eyebrows and the worst haircut Ive ever gotten. Ive literally never left a review in my life but it was so bad I wanted to warn others. My head looks like a lawnmower was used to cut it and I look like Im on chemo and my eyebrows are falling out.

Ive been going to Alex since he joined Roosters. Quality has not dropped, hes always willing to ensure hes done a quality job.Prices have risen recently (from $35 last year to $39 this year), and they also have a new, nicer receptionist.

I walked in this morning and was accommodated immediately (without an appointment). Maria was very nice. They listen to you and give you the exact cut you want and they make sure. They even give suggestions. I got a disconnected undercut and she did a great job. Good price, especially if youre younger. Definitely coming back.

If you have a beard dont go to scott, hell shave it without asking.

I have been twice now and will not give it a third try. There is not a single person here who knows how to cut hair all that well. You are getting Supercuts quality for $35 before tip. I have been to other Roosters throughout the country and they are actually pretty good...this one just needs to get some barbers with a little more skill. I would look elsewhere.

This place gets 5 stars for one reason alone... My girl Deli.Ive been a customer here pretty much since day one, and while there have been peaks and troughs in the staff, the shop for the most part has always been client focused.My most recent visit not so much, it now seems that you listen to what staff want you to listen to, they screen what staff want to watch. Seriously how many men want to go to the barber and watch HGTV and list to middle of the road pop???With so much competition youd think management would remember to focus on clients.Now as for Deli. I cant begin to start to say how awesome she is. Attentive to the point of perfectionism, she always makes sure that my hair is on point and that my beard is presentable. Cant say how much I love coming to get myself taken care of by her.That reminds me, its time to book another appointment.

Extremely disappointed!!! The hair dressers were more concerned about their conversations with each other and what they were ordering for lunch instead of paying attention to what the customer was asking for. I WAS growing my hair out. Only asked for it to be trimmed up because I still wanted to continue to grow it out. I had a gentlemans hair cut, like Brad Pit in Fury. Showed the hair dresser what I was looking for (with pictures of myself from the past with the haircut I was paying them for). So aside from her leaving my hair to poke me in the eye and cover my line of vision the whole time. The girl cutting my hair said something to the other hairdresser, along the lines of What do I do with umm this? Then another person came over. Well... I went from Brad Pit to Buzz Lightyear. Just to clarify; I did not notice the drastic change until she was done, because they have you facing a big screen tv and not a mirror as they cut your hair. Leaving you to a surprise you did not want.Now I normally wouldnt be so upset about human error, But I model on the side and have a shoot next week. This was extremely neglectful and very disappointing.Only rated 1 star because there arent negative star ratings.

Great haircut for me HORRIBLE haircut for my sun, Charles has been cutting hair since 1974 and did a nice job on me spent about 30 min and did fabulous. My sun got Shawnte she was done in about 8 minutes. she cut around the edges didnt do any layering or anything. I wanted a nice cut for him that is why I bough him there and not super cuts. I sent him back because the hair was below his eye brows still in the front so she shortened it more and completely cut it uneven as you can see from the pic! After words his hair was still on laying on his ears I told Charles hoping he would address it and maybe layer it a bit around the ears, he went back and told Shawnte, back this time with Shawnte a third time for this traumatize 5 year old which didnt want a hair cut to start which is why I brought him to a nice place for a positive experience, oh well... She cut off some of the stray hairs on his ear but still not good. Finally I gave up paid and tipped and left but will probably never go back. Really 3 times and they couldnt get it right or straight, the kids behind us they spent 25 min on and there cuts looked great, I have a kid with a uneven bowl cut I need to go get fixed somewhere else now! Guee it all depends who you get good luck.
