I have taken my son (7) to a lot of martial arts places but this is by far the best. Joe, one of the instructors, is so good at teaching kids and has outstanding patience. I would recommend this to everyone for their children!

When it comes to Martial Arts - they are number Hana which means #1 in Korean. The instructors Mr. Galloway and Master Kirk are hands down awesome. They are great with the kids and are also personable. My family and I love it and highly recommend.

I am so thankful to have found this academy. My son loves it here and I cannot recommend Family Martial Arts Center enough. My son had a previously horrible martial arts experience and cried, begging me not to ever go again. Then, after walking in the downtown square of Summerville, and looking in Windows - he asked to try this place. I was so excited for him to try again, but skeptical. From the moment I spoke to Mr. Galloway, I knew this place was the real deal and special. My son really was captivated and his shyness melted away. Master Kirk has instructed some of the classes also and the kids are also enthralled with the lessons. When we were beginning, it was clear that they were all about family. Both Master Kirk and Mr. Galloway are family oriented. Its because they believe in what they teach, the kids truly learn from them. My husband is even contemplating on doing classes! We look forward to each week. Anyone who is a part of the Martial Arts Family here, is lucky!

This is such a great martial arts school! My son loves it so much! Their instructors focus on teaching not only the martial art, but the principles that come with it that can be taken out of the school and into life!

Great instruction and amazing deals. Instructors are well knowledgeable with all kinds of kids including special needs. They have an amazing 3-6 year old program. Kids and adults taekwondo and Brazilian jujitsu.

We have our 4 homeschooled boys ages 5-12 enrolled in Brazilian Jujitsu and Taekwondo and we love it! The instructors are knowledgeable, patient and encourage the kids to be their best selves on and off the mat. Trying a free class was the best thing for us, and now we go several times a week because the boys enjoy being there!

My son absolutely loves going to Ronin! Mr. Galloway is extremely patient. Nothing but a great experience and highly recommend to anyone.

Quality Taekwondo and Brazilian Jujitsu instruction for the kids.We enjoy the homeschool class time. Yoga in the back for the caregivers (extra) is also very nice and convenient.

I test drove several places in the area for TKD and Ju Jitsu. The instructors here have the training, talent, patience, and experience to train both my shy young daughter and keep my ego in check while we both improve. Martial arts is a daily challenge beyond the gym. And the instructors keep you engaged along the way. Start your familys challenge here!

Heres my experience as an adult student:I began my journey training under Master Kirk and Mr.Galloway over 2 years ago now(before the new SC location opened) .When I began I could not kick higher than a foot off the ground. I had plantar faciitis and had more extra weight than I care to admit.I finally stopped making excuses and tried class. They both knowhow to work with and around disability temporary or permanent, physical or mental.I could hardly stand on the mats very long at first because of my condition.I dropped about 30lbs in 6 months with Taekwondo and a moderate diet.My condition is gone.Im continually impressed by how hard they push everyone and how they have their students backs. Thank you Ronin!

We have loved our time at Ronin! My son with SPD has grown so much that we were able to stop his OT. I have watched my boys come out of their shells and gain confidence in everyday life in just a few months of being a part of the Ronin. The instructors are wonderful with the kids. They are disciplined, but understanding with the children. The patience exhibited by Master Galloway with the Little Samuris class is absolutely inspiring to watch! I highly recommend Family Martial Arts!
