This experience review is solely for our time working with Y Vu. We were recommended to go to Y from a family member because Champions has great interest rates, in which we can confirm that. However, if we could do it again, we would not pick Y as our loan officer. At the beginning of the process, she was answering calls/questions with no concerns. Once we decided to go with Champions, she changed her behaviors completely after that. During the waiting contract period, we had to wait hours for her to respond. All we received from her was, “I’m busy”. She was at work but failed to answer her phone calls/emails. What time should we call her then if it’s not during 9-5?It felt like we were begging her assistance. People are always braving how terrific their loan officers are but for our case, we were miserable. She also made many promises that she could not keep. We would rather she be honest with us from the beginning than to made promises and made the deal sounds amazing to get us in. I do give her credit for writing an objection letter but other than that, I would not change anything I mentioned. At one point, we were concerning about the difference in prices between what she have shown us to what we were getting. She has the audacity to say she cannot work with people like us. When she can easily answer the question by saying it’s different by each bank/underwriting. Our honest opinion is she have horrible work ethics. Even our other sister said she would never give business with someone like this. We learned the hard way and it’s true, we would rather pay the extra $2k in interest to be treated better. Absolutely never again in a million years with her. Please change for the better.

It is my pleasure to grade this mortgage broker a five star. I am very satisfied with the customer service that was provided by Y Vu loan officer. My case is complicated with multiple steps and issues that are needing extra assistances from loan officer. First of all, I bought my house with two sponsors. One is under 1099 tax; the other is under W2. For 1099 tax, my loan officer aids us by providing instruction to obtain Profit and Loss verification and works directly with tax agents to ensure that we have proper documents. Secondly, Y Vu aids us to verify the W2 income. The W2 employer does not want to spend extra time to verify these information. As the result, we got stuck in these steps. However, Y Vu shines a light on us how to resolve the problem. We felt very thankful and conform with the loan processes.We dealt with many issues. The builder give did not provide any specific date to closing house. Y Vu spent two months on our cases without any complaints. Suddenly, the builder informed us that they needed us to closing the house in 7 days. My loan officer somehow did amazing job to manage closing on the requested date. Then, the builder decided to move the closing date week after week, day after day. The rate was locked and we have to pay extra fees to keep the same best rate. It passed many dates but she managed to deal with mortgage company to waiver the fees. She spent efforts and time to solve issues. She is very patient and understandable.Thank you!

This is our second time working with Champions Mortgage. Hands down one of the best mortgage companies out there. We just closed our house this afternoon. There were some issues with our builder and the executive contract was sent 30 days before the closing day. Leaving the lender about 20 business days to process everything and made it happen! I reached out to Joel Matthews from Champions Mortgage after receiving a mailer suggesting good offers for refinancing home mortgages. We were in the market so timing was perfect. Id already been in touch with Quicken Loans, US Bank, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America and was blown away with Joels prompt service, easy going personality, flexibility, and...of course...the amazing rate he was offering. Rates were very volatile during the Fall of 2019 but I held on for the ride and was rewarded with refinancing at 3.25% for a 15yr (had been on a 30 yr fixed at 4.25%), no closing costs. Thanks Joel!

I have used Champions Mortgage to finance couple of my rental investment properties. They beat any rates out there and able to cover some closing cost as well.
