They really try their best to help you. They could do more if our federal and state government would listen to what we the people truly need as mental health care.

I would like for someone to explain to me how did Suffolk Child protective services close a case on a 5 year old autistic child being taken to the hospital for dehydration. This is pitiful!!! They have more laws today for animals than a child. This agency is absolutely horrible!!! And a gave them a one star because 0 wasnt up there.

Their Social workers are some of the most ill knowledgeable people I have ever seen. Very condescending, rude, nasty, and flat out disrespectful. They don’t do the job because they don’t know it. And their turn over rate right now is SO HIGH, to hire more people that don’t know what they’re doing. When people can’t keep people? They hire anybody and this agency shows that. They make your children worse than when they started.

I have had nixed results here. Some case workers are wonderful and reasonable, but others make you feel insecure and troublesome for asking for help. If it is honestly something that state/national law enforces, that is one thing, but talking to someone as if you already decided that they are lying to you before you even talk to them isnt how the situation should work. I cant imagine how difficult of a job this could be, but if you dont want to do it lawfully, please dont do it.

Everyone is nice but Miss S Hill treats people as if they are a inconvenience to her and as if she is above treating you like a human. You should not be in social services if you want to act like people are ruining your day when it’s your job to work with people. Just my opinion. From the phone interview she acted as if her doing my application was bothering her and when I went to the office to try to talk to her today about just taking the regular benefits and if I would have to redo the application instead of coming to talk to me like a human she called the people at the front desk and said “ I sent everything in the mail “ like I was a inconvenience to her and she wanted to get rid of me . Very rude and unprofessional especially for her line of work . But I hope god removes that attitude from her so no one else goes thru this experience. Everyone else seems very nice and kind 😌

I am very sure that the question would not be why I loved this place. It is social services. However, I have one piece of advice for anyone seeking help and that is be respectful.

Dag, so if you have no water, even tho you are not at your house all the time but still sleep there with 4 spacial needs kids they wont go ck!!!!! Go figure! So why have a hotline!!!

The staff is very professional and efficient!

The social worker was very knowledgeable and kind. We are going through a lot and she helped.

Its so hard to get any help in this business its bad enough they dont call back and it takes months 2 get anything done. Not all people dont care a lady named ms floyd be on her job n i like her she should get a raise
